Our dental plan changed recently and they don't accept my dental insurance. The staff assured me that it was easy to get reimbursed. Once I paid for my child's service and asked for the process, they basically told me to figure it out on my own. Overall, I wasn't happy with the process. Dr. King is very nice and caring, but given the difficulty with submissions and constant marketing via text and calls, I will not go there again.

My son saw Dr King today to have his baby tooth extracted and he was awesome! Dr King has this way with making my son (who has always been nervous with others dentist) feel at ease and calm! His dental assistant Carolina is so sweet and made sure my son was happy! Since we have been going to the office I never any issues with submitting to my insurance, the front desk staff handles everything with no surprises! I would highly recommend Dr King and his staff! My son loves it there!

My children have been going to Dr. Joanna for 9 years and we highly recommend her. Dr. Joanna has an engaging personality with children and makes the experience fun. She has also given us good advice over the years about our children's dental health, including when to seek out an orthodontist. The hygienists and office staff have been consistently friendly and helpful. The practice takes insurance, which has made the experience affordable for us. The waiting room is appealing and entertaining for kids with vintage video games. And my children have always loved picking out a prize from the prize box at the end of their visit. The whole experience has been very positive and my children love going to the dentist!

Dr. King and his staff are amazing! My daughter loves going to the office! Not only do they have video games in the waiting room, the kids are offered an assortment of flavored toothpastes,sunglasses and toys at the end! My daughter has been going since she was two years old and every six months is excited to go. We love Dr. King and all his magic tricks.

With her previous dentist my daughter would barely open her mouth. But from the first time my now 10 year old entered the offices of Pediatric Dental Assocs of Manhattan - after knocking on the hobbit door some years ago - she was so enchanted and made to feel so safe that she has been able to get her teeth cleaned (and even one worked on), x-rayed, flouride treated etc. and leave with a big smile. The whole place and staff are geared to kids - from the fun creative waiting room and even big toys peeping out from the walls of the treatment rooms to the videos of popular cartoons kids can gaze upon while work is done; and the kids get to pick their sunglasses for the bright lights as well as receiving fun stickers, bracelets, trinkets and all. Dr. King is an excellent dentist (came highly recommended by my dentist who I've seen for the past 30+ years) and also has such a gentle touch with the kids. He brings play into the room right away - (kids "make" the chair recline by pressing their own nose); does magic tricks and as a finale blows up one of his purple medical gloves into a balloon he draws on to make a delightful companions to take home. And he and his staff give sensitive and solid advice to kids and parents to keep the cavities away. Check out his kids' book Flossopher and the Brushing Trees - my daughter loves it.

Beautiful Smiles Dental

Dr. Joanna is the most patient and thorough doctor my son has ever had! Being a dental professional myself I know what it takes to perform any dental procedure on a child. It requires patience and talent and then more patience. Doctor Joanna had that and a bubbly personality my son adores. He has been always anxious when it came to dental work but Dr. Joanna's special approach calms down all his fears and at this point, my son, who wouldn't even sit through a basic cleaning in the past , would let her do any procedure he needs without blinking an eye! Thank you Dr. Joanna for being an excellent dentist and taking care of my family!

This is by far the best dental experience! My kids ages 14 and 12 are excited to visit Dr. King. He makes a visit to the dentist office an enjoyable experience. The staff is wonderful, always friendly and available to answer any questions. I highly recommend this office. One visit and your child will not want to go anywhere else.

My daughter is a bit of a nervous nelly and she's 16 years old! However Dr. Ioanna made my daughter forget all about her fears and is now always asking me when can we go to the dentist? The staff is very welcoming and attentive to us. Dr. Ioanna's work is amazing she's very fast and efficient! I travel all the way from Bay Ridge Brooklyn and it's all worth the trip! I highly recommend Dr. Ioanna for all your child's dental needs. The best part about this office is they are not money hungry looking to maximize your insurance. Very conservative!

Dr Mike was cool but the office staff was awful. When I made the appointment I was told everything was covered by my insurance. I just found out I got bills for every visit, including the annual checkup. Charges were posted on my HSA card, the staff never informed me so I didn't know until I checked the HAS card balance. They also pushed me to buy some toothpaste on the spot instead of giving me a prescription. Not going back again!

If you want your child to like going to the dentist take him here! My son is three and I have taken him to the dentist three times. This is the first place where he left with a smile on his face, and they actually cleaned his teeth! He was so scared at the other places we didn't make it past sitting in the chair and counting his teeth. Dr. King makes the experience painless, and fun. He puts the child at easy by telling jokes and playing games. (Jack thought it was pretty magical that every time he touched his nose his chair would go up!) I highly recommend!

Dr. Joanna is amazing. Both my kids (age 6 & 11) have gone to her for thier entire lives. She is friendly and puts the kids at ease, even those who are not fans of the dentist (like mine). The office is fun to visit (video games and movies playing!) and the support staff is helpful and sweet to the kids. They even help you with getting work covered by insurance (which no one does anymore!). Great dentist office! Highly recommend!
