If I could give Dr McCormick 6 stars, I would. I was referred to Dr McCormick by another eminent neurosurgeon in Europe whom I know. Now I know why he was the first person to come to mind when I asked my friend for a recommendation. Not only is he obviously accomplished and extremely knowlegeable, Dr McCormick has a very calm and reassuring demeanor. That was important to me, given that I was a 52 year old guy who had been health his whole life and had never had surgery before. Dr McCormick patiently explained to me what the problem was and how he was going to repair it. He was honest with me - he would not 100% guarantee me that I would regain full function in my lower body after the surgery...that can never be certain with spinal cord impingement. But he said that given my relatively young age, my otherwise great health, and the earliness of intervention, I had an excellent chance for very significant, if not full, recovery. I would also like to add that the entire staff, including Dr McCormick's nurse, as well as everyone at the Columbia Spine Institute, was top notch. In short, I am very grateful to my friend in Europe for recommending Dr McCormick, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone with spine/spinal cord issues.

Dr McCormick did a 3 level ACDF surgery on my neck. The recovery was easy & a few months later I felt as if I never even had a neck problem. When I read about people still suffering after surgery I know I was lucky to have him do mine.

Dr Paul McCormack is the best surgeon in New York as well as has a great team. He did my spinal fusion 3years back and I can completely function like a normal person. Have no pain anymore. Have also recommended him to many of my friends and family.
