Very convenient to be able to go to either the Manhattan or LI office. When you actually meet w/ Dr. Mandel, he is great. His PA is pretty nice and knowledgeable too, though not very organized. Had to remind her what medication was prescribed to me last. Need an Rx refill? It's impossible to get someone on the phone or to get it sent through. The past two times, I've had to call multiple times across a week just to get someone on the phone who can help me and get it sent correctly to the pharmacy. Also, my pharmacy sent a request via fax 3 times to their office and no one ever responded. I'm considering going elsewhere for my dermatology needs just based on the how disorganized the office is.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mandel's for a few years now. They have provided the well-informed and thorough care. When I do not see Dr. Mandel himself, I have been forwarded to his PA, Kate, who is incredibly trusting and very knowledgeable. I've had one issue where the claim submitted to my insurance was incorrectly communicated to me on their behalf. As a result, I received a large charge and bill from their office. In response to my negative review of their services, I called and spoke to Jared, their Patient Experience Manager. He was incredibly professional and explained the bill. The issues was resolved within one hour. I am grateful for the thoughtful patient and client services like Dr. Mandel's team.

The creams that provides DC Mandel are the best on the market, especially the F Cream, nothing works better for me. The issues with his office are the good for nothing assistants who open the office at 9.30 instead of 9am with no apologies, they are most of the time rude, clueless and offer no customer services whatsoever. A shame!

Went to see Dr. Mandel once. I called shortly after the visit as he forgot to treat the area I went to see him about. No one EVER returns a phone call, unless you are booking an appointment, and he overcharged Medicare massively! 15 minute initial visit for $850! Called three times last week, no reply. Here is an example why our medical system is broke!

I have seen this dr. A few times and this last visit was terrible he had me wait over an hour and a half. And for almost the entire time waiting all his receptionist did was gossip about her family very loudly. when he finally saw me he showed up with a Committee with no concern over my privacy I think he was training someone. He didn't know for what or why he had prescribed previous medication for me. I guess he doesn't keep files what bothered me the most was on a previous visit I had complained about my privacy and this time didn't even remember me let alone my wishes.
