If you want to do something positive and special for yourself or, seek a dermatologist for skin issues go visit with Dr. Doris Day. She is the absolute BEST there is, and that there ever will be. Trust her vast knowledge and skills they are a remarkable combination. I know that she has achieved success through meaningful, dedicated hard work in consistently helping her wide variety of patients including celebrities. Anyone who assumes this is not an affordable establishment or fears it may be pricey, let me enlighten you. Costly is what you encounter at other dermatologists who are taking advantage of your insecurities, or the ones who are not skilled enough to achieve the best results thoroughly yet efficiently. For the last 3 years the NYC area was out of my time schedule but my loyalty to her remained. I longed to go back to seeing her. She was my first choice and experience for cosmetic treatments. In another practice I had frequented, the results I got were not even close to what she achieves. Recently, I was able to return to her and cannot be happier! After one visit, she exceeded my hopes- I look better than I did four years ago. When you are in her hands, rest assured you are getting attention and tailored care that is genuine. The staff members are always professional, friendly and seamless with their assistance as well. Dr.Day has always prevented me from both emotional and financial stress. Her sincerity and generosity will be forever appreciated.

Dr Doris Day is so professional and one of the few who you can trust not to “overdo or over load” your face. I have experienced that most doctors, assistants, etc. do overkill which for most individuals eventually changes the face too radically. I think she truly sees one’s features clearly and does that which is best for each individual patient. I may need to return for a tweet here and there, but I rather that than being stuck with fillers, etc. that were a mistake. It was my first time and I’m anxious to see her feelings on my results. I would COMFORTABLY recommend DR DORIS DAY in a minute. I might add that I no longer live in NYC but will make an effort to continue to see her when visiting my children. The work she did on my daughter was incredible as well. That is what drew me to see her.

What I appreciate the most about Dr. Day is she was straight forward. I had zero procedures or fillers done in her office because my skin did not need them. I thought I could use one more filler but she said no. That has not been my experience with a lot of dermatologists who are trying to either make a buck or their ego says "yeah, I can make this person look better". Then you look far worse or your skin is damaged. She's not like that. And she is very warm and personable. You will like her.

Oh dear. Feel compelled to write a review after seeing so many 5 stars. I ignored the bad reviews and wish I hadn't. Every part of my experience as a new patient was bad. Did not feel welcomed by staff, had only 5 brusque minutes with Dr Day. I called in advance about my ulterapy appointment because I was concerned with very sensitive skin it would be painful, I was assured I didn't need any painkiller s (apart from maybe a Tylenol, which I did). My ultherapy treatment was with a junior member of staff who really dismissed my fears of pain again when I voiced it before treatment but it WAS indeed painful and I was furious with myself for not believing other reviews. The staff were also grumpy with me for pointing out that the VERY EXPENSIVE Glisodin tablets I bought were a faulty batch because the capsules had burst in the container and the contents were sticky. Did not go back. For this much money I want professional attention and courteous service.

WARNING: With substandard patient care and an absence of "bedside manner," this office lacks a basic understanding of iPledge. Further, STAFF FALSIFIED BLOOD WORK DATES to comply with this FDA required program for isotretinoin (Accutane) users. (Yes, you read that correctly.) While Dr. Day may be a lovely person, Jamie (the medical assistant) and the rest of her staff leave a lot to be desired. Their casual approach to questionable practices is alarming. I will be following up with the New York State Board of Medical Examiners.

I have been going to Dr. Day for years - probably a decade. She is one of the nicest, most professional doctors I know and is 100% honest. There've been times I've asked about certain treatments I've read about and she's swayed me away from them, which I respect, because it would be pretty easy to convince me I need something and make quick money. Her staff gets me in for appointments within a couple days of calling, and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to see her once I check in. I honestly can't say a single negative thing about Dr. Day, and I don't like going to doctors EVER! Highly recommend.

When I moved back to NYC, my dermatologist in LA recommended Dr. Day - I was suffering from mild breakouts and generally did not know how to deal with my skin in my 30s. I found Dr. Day almost 10 years ago, exasperated that nothing was working on my skin. We tried several things, using sample sizes to test my skins response. A pragmatic approach as I didn't have to buy the products until we knew it worked for me. She is always present and engaging, thorough and thoughtful, and is not afraid to say “no you do not need the new laser x, medication fantastico, or chemical brew etc." She cares that I am doing well and my skin is clear. She has an excellent bed side manner which sadly is rare. I cross state lines and travel 3 hrs to see her. I unabashedly recommend her to anyone who needs help with their skin.

I'm sorry but I cannot give Dr. Day 5 stars and have to agree with the other users who gave her 1 star that she is a product pusher. She was recommended to me by someone I trust dearly and therefore felt I would be in excellent hands. First of all, Dr. Day did not listen. She came into the room with a haughty assistant and stood 6 feet away while looking at my face (I get it--I look at art from a distance too--whatever gets it done). She then gave a blunt verbal assessment of what she saw which could have been taken as c(rude) honesty or poor bedside manners leaving me with a small complex when I look at my face now. I came in for Botox and all she could talk about was Ultherapy. Ultherapy, Ultherapy, Ultherapy. I've received Botox from a handful of doctors across the world since I travel quite a bit and have always been extremely pleased with the refreshing, lifting, smoothing effects created by the other doctors with Botox. No one ever said it looked unnatural nor did anyone ever ask me if I had Botox. Now Dr. Day on the other hand will charge you the maximum amount possible (citing her expertise and that you will look natural as a rational for her fees and that your face is her business card!). After having to go back a second time because I did not notice a difference I decided not to go back the third time after still not seeing much of an effect. All of this cost me $1000 on visit 1. Her fear of me looking too frozen and being a bad "business card" resulted in no business card to anyone! Dr. Day should advertise that you'll have to go back to her for Botox every 2 weeks. This is because that's pretty much the amount I felt she injected--an amount that kind of works on day 3...an amount that seems to be working by 7 (is it?? it definitely should be..)....and by day 10 you start looking like you did on day 3 again....you get the picture. It's the amount you'd inject a celebrity for a night on the red carpet--a petit top-up. Cry once after and any effect is gone for sure after squishing your face too intensely. I give Dr. Day 1* star because she did not leave me looking unnatural, or frozen, or with a Spock brow (no disrespect to you Spock because you can rock that type of brow). This would have been impossible especially when the majority of your "Botox" syringe is comprised of saline (or let's just say too little Botox). Maybe her assistant does not dilute correctly? No. Dr. Day was thrilled with the results the first time! Maybe I have two different faces? Who knows. Yes, there probably are other procedures that I can get done, but that day I wanted Botox. The day I went in to see Dr. Day I went in for Botox and only Botox---instead of telling me to think about the Ultherapy as perhaps a more permanent way to look more youthful she wanted me to book straight away! It's possible she is not injecting enough Botox as a strategy to make you want to do another procedure due to disappointing effects. I appreciate doctors trying to keep things looking as natural as possible, but this was a total rip off and I would never go back even if I decided to do Ultherapy or anything else as a matter of fact.

I said that I would call back in a couple of minutes (for I needed to check my itinerary) called back in about 3 minutes another girl answered the phone. I visited the office of Dr. Doris Day for the first time last week and was very impressed. I expected a lot given the Doctor's reputation and all my expectations were met and more. The receptionist was very welcoming - greeted me with a big smile, was most helpful and very efficient. The wait time was minimal - less than 5 minutes. Dr. Day was most attentive, focused, and caring. The examination was holistic, thorough, and kind. She patiently answered all my questions. I made my second appointment to follow up right away. Dr. Day is AMAZING!! Dr. Doris Day is definitely knowledgable, professional, attentive, polite, and efficient. She has great experience and she won't recommend treatments just to make money and spend your $$... but instead looks out for your best interest and health. I can highly recommend Dr. Day. After visiting many high-end Doctors over several decades, my skin has never looked better. Dr. Day has treated me with lasers & prescription medications. By far the most knowledgeable and compassionate physician I've been to. I would ignore any negative reviews (?) and go see her. Staff is lovely and efficient. Yes, I'm very, very pleased. People say Newyorkers are tough, however since I moved here 14 years ago I have met the nicest people, and even my doctors and dentist are a pleasure. Doris Day is of course brilliant and accomplished in her profession, but she also has the best bedside manners on the planet (our kids are proof of that, because they won't let any other dermatologist see them). While she is probably best known for her stellar cosmetic dermatology skills, my family and I have also found her excellent for skin-related medical issues that other dermatologists had not been able to solve. Last, but not least, her office is very well-run: appointments are easy to schedule and confirm, and we have never experienced a long wait.
