Top notch dermatologist. The guy who gave him a low rating sounds fairly phobic. Dr. Hempstead has excellent credentials and experiece. The atmosphere is the office is very friendly and warm. I have personal experience with skin cancer and wish that my sister was more diligent in removing her skin 'tags" as he called them. They need to be removed and can turn into full blown cancer as it did with my late sister. We need more doctors like Dr. Hempstead in this region.

I was not pleased. First, when we got there three uniformed lc police officers wanted to visit with the dr. That was a tad freaky. Then he went entirely too quickly. He seemed more concerned about playing with his cryogenic stuff which he poured all over the place, I wasn't there for skin tag removal I was there to make sure I dont have any melanoma I left with 15 skin tag freezings, whatever. Overall just a VERY odd experience and I will not go back. I'm still concerned about spots on my face and now will have to find someone else.

I have been to many dermatologists over 35years. Dr. Hempstead is exemplary in his field and has time and again portrayed a knowledgeable and empathetic doctor. He and his staff are very professional. I'm always greeted by Dawn and her mom when entering the office. They make a great team and you can tell they are very close. I make a 2 hour trip each way for my appointments because I know I am going to get the best treatment at this office. I highly recommend Dr Hempstead.

I will not be returning to Dr. Hempstead's office due to the callous treatment I received on different occasions from his staff. Yesterday I called to ask a question about an upcoming appointment. I spoke to Dawn and she actually snapped at me and rudely asked if I "want the appointment or not" instead of just politely answering my question. Sadly this is not the first time I've had a negative experience with them. Dr. Hempstead-- please replace the two women (mother/daughter) you have working at the front desk. They are both incredibly rude and make your business look bad. As inconvenient as it may be, I would rather find another dermatologist than be treated like some kind of nuisance when in fact I am the one paying hard earned money for this service. I am happy to go elsewhere because I deserve to be treated with respect. --sincerely, a disappointed former patient
