There appears to be a systemic problem, primarily from a lack of leadership and investment in quality patient care by the PAs, doctors, and the administrator at Western Dermatology. The leadership at any organization sets the tone, culture, and expectation of customer care. It is this complete and utter lack of ethical leadership that is at the root of the most unprofessional and disrespectful patient care experience I've ever had, with Ms. Carol Purcell, physician's assistant, and Mary her medical assistant.
When one has to see a health care provider, it's because we are at our most vulnerable, we have a problem we cannot solve on our own and we need a medical professional's help, otherwise, we wouldn't be there paying outrageously exorbitant fees to get treatment. Ms. Purcell and Mary exploit the power imbalance and their patient's vulnerability, and behave in the most demeaning, disrespectful, hostile, unprofessional, and unethical manner I have ever experienced from a health care provider.
Ms. Purcell, and everyone at WDC, I really do hope you read these reviews on your service and your practice (they're not pretty) and deeply reflect on the substandard and poor quality of care you provide. I genuinely hope you use these honest and genuine assessments of your service to make systemic changes, from the top to the bottom, to the way you do business. No one deserves the poor level of patient care you provide.
To anyone suffering from a skin condition, please heed this warning, DO NOT GO TO WESTERN DERMATOLOGY AND DO NOT SEE CAROL PURCELL. If you are looking for true professionals to provide your care and develop solutions to your health care needs, please seek another provider.
