This place was nasty and had no respect for their patients! My family waited over 30 minutes in the waiting area and another 35 minutes in the room. We just ended up leaving because the doctor never came in to see my daughter. This place has no respect for other peoples time. My husband had to go ask how much longer and the MA said the doctor is pumping its shouldn't be much longer. BS we waited another 15 minutes then left.. I will be taking my child else where.

Dr. Suga is my son's pediatrician and we couldn't say enough good things about him. My husband and I are first time parents and always come with questions. Dr. Suga does a great job reassuring and educating us. He is great with our son and we also appreciate the medical assistance and front desk staff.

My daughter and I take my grandsons to the Super Great Dr. Suga. He always takes his time with our appointments and he explains everything to us all of the time and addresses all of our questions. Both kids love him too. His staff is also fantastic and the gals at the front desk, AWESOME!!! We are blessed to have Dr. Suga as my grandsons Pediatrician. PS....The office is always clean and so very kid friendly!

Dr. Tran ordered an elective blood test for my daughter and I got a bill for over $600. We are insured and in-network. I called the office and politely asked that any other services have a pre-determination sent - a fair request. When my daughter made another visit to have her college shot record completed and she refused a wellness check, the Dr. laughed and said, "Haha good thing because wellness checks are expensive." Unprofessional at best. I work in healthcare and this office is subpar. Dr. Sood was great, but unfortunately is no longer with the practice.. neither are we.

Dr. Suga is by far the best pediatrician my daughters have seen. He is very friendly and has so much knowledge. He goes so in depth at their appts and answers any questions you have. Unfortunately we had to relocate and my only hope is i can find a pediatrician as great as he is. Thank you so much for the care the staff provided us!

Dr. Tran went out of her way to patiently explain the vaccination schedule, importance, and effect of each vaccine. She helped me formulate a plan of action that was best for my daughter. I felt very confident in her abilities and relieved by her communication. She is amazing. -Courtney

We have been very impressed with both Dr. Suga and Dr. Tran. My baby son has had more than his fair share of stomach problems and now, resistant ear infections. We have worked very close with Dr. Tran and she has been amazing. She has always given us her undivided attention and expert advice during appointments. I scheduled an appointment for my daughter for a sports physical. When I called, I was very clear that she would not be establishing and that I was going to pay out of pocket. When I arrived. The receptionist told me they needed to do a well child check and a physical, and that sports physicals were only for established patients. Furthermore, they wanted to charge $165 for the visit and were extremely rude and unhelpful. I called from their lobby and found a walk in clinic that only charged $25.

Been taking my Twins here for two years. Today I'll never go back. Horrible experience. Both kids have temps of 102. Called at 2:40 asked to be seen. They said if I'm there by 3 they can see me. Told receptionist I was on my way. Got stuck in some traffic and arrived at 3:02. Receptionist refused to see me. Not one person in waiting room. This was unbelievable to me. My kids started crying in waiting room because they were sick and wanted to see doctor. Never again will I set foot in this office.

Both doctors are awful. My son has been dealing with severe allergies, enlarged adenoids, constant ear infections, and enlarged tonsils (all items diagnosed by an ENT). We had to fight tooth and nail for over two years to get them to give us an ENT referral. While every time we went in they would remark “has he been complaining of any ear pain? Because it looks like he may be getting an ear infection.” What I fail to understand about the pair is how they would be so adamant that it was just “seasonal allergies” for two years. My son now has partial hearing loss due to their negligence and their unwillingness to make the referral. We all care about our kids, and we want the best for them. What is terrible is when a doctor seems uninterested in making sure that a 1-3 year old child is getting the care they need and deserve.

I couldn't be happier with this practice. I became disenchanted with the big box HMO practice we had been with since 09 & a friend recommended High Desert. We initially tried them out in early 2013 to not very impressive results, however the doctor we saw wasn't Dr. Suga. She also didn't seem to last very long at this practice, bc when I elected to give them another shot, a few months later I was assigned to Dr. Suga & cannot give him enough praise or Dr. Tran! This is very personalized & same day care. Doctors Suga & Tran go above & beyond extend excellent patient care & customer service.

We have always had a great experience at High Desert Peds. My kids love Dr. Suga and Dr. Tran. Both doctors have provided excellent care. We drive from the westside of town to go to this office because of it's excellent staff and service.

First time visit and receptionist was rude, unfriendly and not welcoming when arriving and setting up appointment. The visit with the doctor was rushed and didn't feel like he took the time to make us feel like a new patient. The only nice person, was the nurse. Wont be returning.

I have taken my daughter to see Dr Tran since she was 2 months old. I feel like Dr Tran actually listens to my concerns and questions. I like that there are hours available on Saturday. I have no.complaints

The staff here are very rude and don't understand any situation. They wanted to charge you as maximum as possible and blame you for a delay of five minutes. Then put your kids in one of their offices (boxes) to wait another one hour. Also the doctors here seem in a hurry and don't care that much about the health of their patients. Happy to switch soon to another provider.

I used to love this pediatric office when we used to see Dr Tran. It would be awesome to know where she went. The past few times we have seen Dr Suga, and he is always in a rush to get us out and move to the next patient. I don’t feel that he honestly cares about my 11 month old son. He doesn’t take the time to allow my son to get familiar and comfortable with him before he starts “poking and prodding.” I will be switching pediatric offices after our appointment today. Very disappointed.

Dr. Suga has been our family pediatrician since 2009. When we moved to Albuquerque, I researched and visited multiple pediatric practices. High Desert Pediatrics is the only practice we felt comfortable entrusting our children's health with. Having a single provider know each child and our family is important. As a nurse, I don't feel comfortable with big practices that have lots of doctors and staff who never get to know their patients. In our fast paced world where time is money, medical care can be rushed and impersonal. We chose High Desert Pediatrics because they were different then the rest in 2009 and continue to be that way today. Dr. Suga is kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgable. We are fortunate to have found his practice and I recommend High Desert Pediatrics to everyone who asks!

Dr Suga is a great dr. My son has ADHD and Dr Suga helped him get on the right medication, correct dosage. The staff there are nice, helpful and understanding.

I've been taking my daugther here for about a year now and I changed to a diffrent pediatrician. The receptionists are very rude... but I put up with it just to hopefully get a good doctor for my 2 year old. Well we scheduled an appointment for my daugther and we waited 30 minutes in a room to be seen, which was not a big deal if we would been taken care of. The doctor came in and he spent about 5 to 10 minutes with us rushing through question, not spending anytime with my daugther. Then at the end my husband was asking about her shots and he said he couldn't look because he already logged out of the computer.... I tried to ask questions and he was talking over me. I couldn't not get one word out. He just walked out the room. It was really rude and uncaring. I dont recommend this pediatrician if you want a caring and attentive pediatrician. I really wanted to like this place for the hours but these people are not good

I don't recommend Judy Lui to care your your child. She never on time to appointments. She doesn't truly care about the patient only money. Will never see her again.

It is extremely disappointing that they can not resume normal practices when their server goes down. I started in healthcare when everything was done by hand, continued in healthcare during the transition to electronic, and even when the electronic systems went down we were always able to maintain business by temporarily doing things by hand. I have been trying for over a week to schedule an appointment but the office staff can’t seem to figure out the old way of doing things. All it takes is a pencil and paper, note taking, and organizational skills.

Dr. Suga is excellent. He knows his patients better than even their parents!? Quick and simple. No unnecessary conversation is exchanged, but he is such a warm personality. Also, his staff members are excellent, going an extra mile kind of service. They are such a great team that you might as well consider switching your kid's pediatrician! This practice, no doubt, will thrive in this industry in town!!

Dr. Tran is the best Doctor my son has ever seen. She is patient, kind, extremely knowledgeable, and caring. She takes the time to answer all my questions and even asks about things I wouldn't of thought about. I would recommend her to anyone.

We moved to the area recently with our 6mo old son and, after one visit to another local doctor, we came to High Desert Pediatrics and have been extremely pleased. First, the office staff is incredibly friendly and helpful; such a rare find in my experience! Secondly, I appreciate the fact there are two waiting areas--one for sick and one for well kids. Very considerate of the office! Finally, we have thoroughly appreciated Dr. Suga's approach to our son's medical care; he provides as much information as we need, promptly replies to messages when our son has been sick, and does not seem "prescription-happy" and thoughtful about best medical approach to illnesses. We could not be happier to find such good care for our baby!

I usually do not have to wait long when I have an appointment. And I can usually get same day or next day appointments which I prefer. I have had Dr. visits with both doctors (Tran and Suga). I like Dr. Suga because he is quick and on a mission to treat your child and take care of your concerns. He will answer all your questions and concerns very thoroughly and be completely honest when addressing feedback. I do like that about him. He also can have a tendency of being so quick (at times) were it can make one feel rushed out of the room, but when I am in a hurry, I really enjoy this aspect of his ability. Dr Tran is a bit more calm composed and patient. She always has a smile on her face and explains all your concerns in a way that is professional and well articulated. Both Doctor's are great. It really does depend on the person and their preference. I must say, depending on the situation I am needing to visit the office determines the doctor I choose to see my children and the experience I want to have that day. I have not had any issues with admin staff and the nurses. They do welcome my family and provide a welcoming experience. I hope this helps.
