Dr. Bagel was the first MD to treat my psoriasis by the Goeckerman method. I drove from Passaic to his office for six weeks to get clear. He was patient and explained everything. His staff was so good to me also.

I was a patient of Dr. Bagel's about 15 years ago. After months of suffering with guttate psoriasis I found him. I had tried every over the counter and rx remedy around and nothing brought me relief. I was desperate! When I heard about "light therapy" I figured I would give it a try. What did I have to lose? The answer turned out to be, my psoriasis!! I cannot begin to express how happy I was when after 3 visits the itching FINALLY stopped! Several more treatments and my psoriasis was gone! Years later I have a few small plaque psoriasis patches which are completely manageable so I have not needed to return. However, this year my adult daughter had strep throat which brought on guttate psoriasis for her. After a week of dealing with our local doctors I said to her, "Call Dr. Bagel!" Her case was so bad (she was covered head to toe) that Dr. Bagel compassionately treated her on her first visit. Three visits later the itching was almost completely gone and now a few more visits later and you can visibly see a dramatic difference! As far as she and I are concerned, light therapy is amazing! Just a few seconds in the light booth and you are on your way. The technicians are knowledgeable and compassionate.

I’ve been going to Dr Bagel for many many years and my wife and son go to him as well. He always makes time to listen to my questions, I never feel rushed. He is incredibly knowledgeable and very thorough. The staff is friendly. When i mentioned his name to other doctors they always say what an excellent reputation he has. I’ve recommended countless friends and coworkers and everyone has been pleased.

I have been going to him for about 7 years. I suffered with severe psoriasis and Dr Bagel was the only dermatologist that put me on a treatment that worked..now I am 99% clear..he really took the time with me and explained it was the best for me. I have sent other friends and family to him and they all have had similar experiences..

Dr Bagel will not spend more than a minute with you no matter how serious your issue. I had a cyst on my finger. I didn't know it was a cyst. He came in after making me wait for 15 minutes. He said he could cut it off , I said yes. Within 30s he cut it off meanwhile I had fainted. He didn't talk to me nor did he inform me about any side effects. I rested for barely 5 minutes the doctor and nurse made pretty sure I was out of the room in 5 minutes . I am sure because there were other patients in the assembly line! I had a couple of other issues I had gone to see the doctor for he literally rushed me through all of those and wrote down medications without even bothering to talk to me . He cut me off when I was trying to explain. To top it off when I went to the pharmacy to pick up the medicines, I noticed they had called in only for one , completely missed the other, and had the wrong dosage on the one they gave to me ! Don't waste your time and hard earned money on this doctor. He doesn't care about his patients , only about his $.

Dr. Bagel is the best Dermatologist I know. His thoroughness and care is something I've never experienced before. He goes the extra mile for all of his patients, no matter how busy he is, he takes the time for each individual person. He wants his patients healthy and well in every aspect of life not just dermatology. I am honestly so touched by his care and kindness, that I had to write this review to show my appreciation for Dr. Bagel. He has been the most helpful to me than any other doctor I've ever seen. If you are looking for a dermatologist, look no further than Dr. bagel.

I do not know how any other review can be nothing but a 5 star for this Doctor if I could give him a million stars I would!! He is the one of most caring and kindest Doctor's I have met and excelled in knowledge. His caring bedside manner and was so eager to help me with my rare skin condition. He is one in a million Doctor in this crazy insurance world. He is very patient and explains everything in detail. His nursing staff is top notch as well. I couldn't be any happier with my visit and cant wait to see him again. Highly recommended!!!

I went to see Dr. Bagel when my husband was stationed in New Jersey. Never before have I left a doctor's office and immediately burst into tears. I was on time for my appointment (first one of the day)...early actually...yet it took them about an hour to get me into a room. When he came in...another 20 minutes later...I was holding my open gown and trying to explain to him what was going on and all he kept saying was "let go", "let go", "LET GO" and not even listening to what I was telling him. I felt completely uncomfortable during the examination and he made me feel like he didn't have time to listen to me. It felt very rushed and he told me he thought I just had a heat rash or something along those lines. He left to head to another room when I realized I forgot to ask him about a facial product I had been having a reaction to as well. I even brought the product to show him. The nurse went to get him and it was another 20-30 mins before he was back in the room and he seemed somewhat annoyed. I told him about Rodan and Fields Reverse and that I was having a reaction to it...but only after I worked out and was wondering if there could be a specific ingredient that is a common allergy for some or reacts with heat. He acted like he had never even heard of that skin care line and all he told me was "It's obvious. Stop using it". He didn't even look at the ingredient list. He was in quickly and out again quickly. It really just made me feel like a number and like I still had no answers. I burst into tears as soon as I walked out of the office. NEVER before have I had this reaction after seeing a doctor. I know they have a lot of clients to see...but he needs to start taking time with his and truly listen to what they have to say.

Dr. Bagel is awesome....he's the best dermatologists I've been to. My first experience was hilarious, he is such a nice guy. My mother and I laughed so hard when he left the office. He was on point, it took him 5 mins to come up with a treatment plan for my psoriasis. The same thing when I went back for my mother's sudden rash on her hands and in 20 seconds we were done. I lost my job 3yrs ago so I've been seeing the VA dermatologist for two years now for my psoriasis and 80% of my body is covered again. I have Medicare now so I'm heading straight to the man. I can't wait to have clear skin again.
