This place is a scam artist. Instead of solving any of my issues, they made it worse and recommended trying out one of their fancy creams I could buy from their store. Oh, that store is conveniently located right inside of their lobby. Don't go here. They don't deserve even one star.

This is worth the read if you want to know why I don’t recommend Dr. Grossier. So you don’t have to feel as if you wasted your money or your time. If I could give zero stars, I would. I went to see Dr. Grossier and he was (I am not kidding) in the room for two minutes. If I have to pay a $35 co-pay to see a specialist, I expect the specialist to take the time and listen to what I have to say. If I knew I would have to explain everything to his assistant because he wouldn’t take the time to see me, then I wouldn’t have went. The only reason why I went to Dr. Grossier was because I saw the good reviews. But I was disappointed by my experience and the results. The whole point is that he prescribed me a cream for these brown, dry scaly marks I had underneath my breasts. After two weeks, the condition became worse. I went to a new dermatologist and he said that the cream I was prescribed before is the most likely cause of why my skin became worse (because I showed him where it originated and how it spread after two weeks) and he even knew what skin condition I have, which is Confluent and Reticulated Papillomatosis (CARP, for short). While Dr. Grossier never even named the condition I had. I tried doing my own research for skin conditions before visiting a dermatologist and I couldn’t find anything that matched the marks I have. Now I know exactly what skin condition I have because my new Dermatologist wrote it down. The photos of other people with the condition matched mine. Of course, unfortunately, I have this skin condition. However, at least I know what I am dealing with.

I paid cash for cancer to removed frm my face. Since the right side of my face is paralized. I paid cash for service and they charged me 33 dollars that the I was told they would wave. I assure you our of principle they will see in court.

First let me start off by saying I wish I had read the reviews on yelp before I made my appointment at the dermatology group in Nutley new jersey, because had I done so I would have saved myself the disappointment of meeting with Dr. Daniel Grossier. In addition I could have saved my $150 and gone somewhere else. I also wished I could give this office a zero star but yelp is generous so one star will have to do. My appointment was today may 4th, 2016. My appointment was at 8:10 am, I got to the office waited at the front desk about 10 minutes before the front desk staff acknowledged me, while standing there omg the F bombs that were been dropped by the staff was enough to make an angel blush. I overlooked this unprofessional behavior, as I was here to see the Dr. and not the other staff. While waiting I looked up on the wall and saw all these magazine covers with Dr. Grossier name on it for a top doctor in NJ, that made me feel really good. My good feeling started to dissipate at 9:15 when I was still not seen. I was not called until 10 am to see the doctor. The assistant called my name. I went into the office she asked a few questions and then said the doctor would be in to see me shortly. 10 minutes later he walks in. LITERALLY IT WENT DOWN LIKE THIS!!!!!!! He said hi my name is dr. Grossier, he pointed to a chair he wanted me to sit on, said take off your glasses, then said I'm going to prescribe you..... And a face wash, come back in three weeks and started to leave. I said to him I wanted a medication I got in the past he wrote the script and left. It literally took him one minutes literally. I have acne all over my chest back and shoulders, he never addressed any of my issues, he didn't ask me not one question he just left. He has a unreserved cockiness about him, this look on his face it was very unsettling and made me feel very uncomfortable.it was as if to say I don't have to be polite or give you proper medical care my name is on the door and all the magazine covers. It was very sad. I felt robbed. When I walked out the office to leave he was outside and said to the receptionist Sell her a face wash. The receptionist asked me to make an appointment for 3 weeks but I told her no. She then took me to another woman to by the face wash, this lady asked me a few question and then determined I didn't need a face wash. To sum it up I paid $150 for my visit, waited 2 hours to see the doctor, who spent exactly one minute with me, never apologized for been late. I was so late to work that 2 of my patients had to leave and my hours had to be cut. I am very disappointed. I never do reviews but this one I had to write. PEOPLE PLEASE TAKE YELP REVIEWS SERIOUS I ALWAYS DO.IF I SEE A COMPANY WITH REALLY BAD REVIEWS I DON’T DO BUISNESS WITH THEM. THIS STUFF IS REAL!!!!

Dr. Groisser and his staff are the best. I have been a patient since 2014. The office is bright and well maintained. They made some changes in the office and the wait times are not bad at all like some of the older reviews suggest. He takes his time with you and doesn’t over book. Dr.Groisser is very knowledgeable and his staff is friendly and helpful.I have some serious conditions and I feel confident with his treatment plan. I highly recommend him and appreciate the time he takes to explain and make sure the patient fully understands the medications etc.... Thanks for a great experience Dr. Groisser!

if i could give 0 stars i would

Longest wait I have ever experienced! Over an hour and a half. When I returned to have my sutures removed I was charged a co pay when I shouldn't have been and they would not apply that to my account or refund the charge. I suggest going anywhere but this practice!

Cassandre Ractliffe

This place is horrible. They overbook and you will wait 2 hours to see someone. Don’t waste your time

I knew when I walked in for my 8:10 am appointment that it wasn't a good sign that the parking lot was already full and the waiting room was standing room only. After waiting an hour after my appointment time, found out there were still 6 people ahead of me or about another hour wait. Asked if I could get the next first appointment of the day which was 6 am a few weeks out. Fine with me since it's just for my annual check and not an emergency. Receptionist told me just FYI there are 6 other people scheduled at 6 am that day. So, let me get this straight - ONE doctor and SIX patients scheduled for each time slot (every 10 mins) all day every day. She told me he won't change his schedule and she gets yelled at and has things thrown at her on the daily. What a horrible way to run a practice! Needless to say, I am no longer a patient.

Dr Grossier is a great doctor. I went there a few weeks ago to take a look at a small bump on my left rear delt. Today I had it removed and the process went well. He is very thorough and it very good at what he does. He actually stitched my wound up with 12 stitches just to make sure it would not open up since I am heavy into weight training and have very high muscle density. I would recommend him to everyone and anyone. And the nurses are great as well. Great practice.

Ian dubac

Worth the wait. First time I went I waited over an hour and people who came after me went before me. Found out that there were PAs that were also taking patients. Next time I scheduled for 6am and arrived at 545 and was the third patient. I was done by 630. Third appointment was for 6am and I arrived at 535 and was the first one to be seen. I was done at 617am. I am psoriasis free for the first time in 42 years. Thank you Dr. Groisser. He's all about business and must keep up a fast pace to handle all the patients but will answer your questions and spend the time necessary.

Christina Aiello

I have been to this office before and was not too happy about my experience, but I figured I would give them another chance and just see another Dr. Worst decision I could have made. I arrived around 1015 for a 1030 appointment. I was not called into the office until 11:45! I have a ton of patience since I am a teacher, however this wasn't even the worst part. I wait another 20 minutes and Dr. Daniel Groisser walks in. He doesn't even say hi just something along the lines of "what's wrong?" He didn't even let me discuss my issues, he wanted short answers and to move on. He was also very short with me and would not listen to anything I had to say. He seemed very arrogant and acted like he had no time for me. Well, I'm sorry, but I just waited 2 hours to see him and now he doesn't have time for me? Well it gets worse. He tells me he will be right back, the nurse comes in to fill the injection and I figured ok he will be back in a minute. Well 30 MINUTES LATER he walks in ours the injections in my scalp and says he will see me in 2 weeks. Meanwhile, I'm trying to ask him questions about my ongoing issue and he's giving me short answers again. All in all I will NOT be seeing him in two weeks or ever again for that matter. I never write reviews, in fact this is my first one. I was too aggravated not too. Please read reviews before making an appointment because I definitely should have.

The wait is the only thing I didn’t like here. And I mean you really have to wait more than an hour

I had a surgical proceedure done..I assure you if I have to tell the doctor what he is doing that day. I will not ever be coming back. Fast forward..one year later. They are now hounding me with phone calls urging me to schedule an appointment. Today is another day asking to be put on the do not call list. I found another doctor quit calling me. I too would give a zero star. You arent God get rid of the arrogant attitude. Your practice actually sucks...look at your ratings.

Jonathan Andrade

Long wait time for one also the doctor has is rude and doesn't ever remember me he doesn't care for his patients I've been going for over a year I try to tell him about my side effects but he just ignored me and said I was fine now I have liver damage he told me I was wrong

Melissa P

Not happy with my experience with Dr. Grossier and the wait time. The front desk staff and assistants were wonderful, however the previous comments on wait time are accurate - was seen 45 minutes AFTER my original appointment, seems that they definitely double/triple book appointment slots. No apologies/explanation for delay. The doctor literally saw me for two minutes to screen my skin, was in a rush, and made odd comments such as "tell me I did a great job". Maybe its his sense of humor or arrogance, but I was not amused. When asking questions regarding irregular moles, he picked up a chart 2x and said this is what they look like. No kidding, I had Googled it beforehand and to be safe, the reason behind my appointment was to get an opinion from a "professional". I will not be going back to this office in the future, new patient = lost patient. Waste of my copay.

Ariel Espaillat

Not a very good experience. I had a 6:45am appointment, granted i got their 15min late but i called to advise i would be late. Nonetheless, I had to fillout this awfully long questionaire on this heavy tablet that did not work very well and after 1 hour and a half in the waiting room i was still not called in. So i left and never heard from them again.. Not good at all...

Kizzy Cabrera

The wait time is uncalled for in this place. I make an appointment for my 8 yr old son at 6:30am and get there at 6:15am. He was not seen until about 7:45am. When he was taken back into the office, we were rushed and was diagnosed within about 45 seconds. The experience was NOT good at all. I will not come back again.

Robert Rose

Kevin Iacovone

Excellent! I’ve met twice with Dr Groisser and both have been very positive. He is very professional and engages with me as a patient very well. The staff is also very efficient and professional. All in all…a very smooth experience.

Ariane Benefit

I had very similar experiences to all the other negative reviews. Long wait, he barely listened to me, looked at my skin for less than a minute, and left. Would NEVER go back to him.

India Trombley

Teresa Zaleski

Going to medical school doesn't make your time more valuable than anyone else's. Don't overbook your schedule and ask people to wait over an hour to be seen. It's rude and unprofessional. I took an 8 am appointment so I could go to the doctor and then go to work, not so I could spend half the day in your office. I walked out after waiting 20 minutes and asking how much longer and being told an hour minimum. Unreal. Go anywhere else.

siva kukkapalli

Very crowded. Had to wait almost an hour after my appointment time. When I call them for a question about prescription, they someone from doctor’s will reach out to me and I never received a call back.

Ed che

Worst clinic I've ever been to...The doctor itself looks like he needs a dermatologist and he also rushed me during the examination. But that's nothing compared to their billing department. Also, the so called manager "Janet" was very rude right from the start just because shes been working there for 35years doesn't give her the right to be such a you know...

Angela Melia

I have been a patient of Dr. Groisser for about 9 years. During this time, I received excellent medical care for any dermatological issue for which I sought his care. Most recently, I sought his care for a chemical burn on my face, which resulted from what should have been a normal European facial (much to the esthetician's surprise and my chagrin!) The burn happened on a Saturday, and naturally I was quite concerned. I remembered that Dr. Groisser had given me his cell number at a previous appointment for any questions I may have had at the time, so I texted him and sent him photos of the burn on my face. He immediately fit me in his schedule the following week. Dr. Groisser prescribed a regimen of prescription creams that healed my face to almost normal within two weeks. From what could have left permanent scarring, you now cannot even tell it happened. I am so grateful. As for the issue of long wait times in waiting room before being seen, yes, there have been instances where I have waited over 40 minutes, but most recently, I was greeted promptly and seen by Dr. Groisser shortly thereafter. I believe the office has heard the feedback regarding long wait times and is truly making a successful effort to solve this issue. I seek a physician based on their competence and my confidence in him/her, so if I wait a few minutes longer than for someone less busy, so be it. There is a reason some physician are busier than others.

Chris Morales

The doctor himself is great. He is a people person and gets the job done quick. The office is poorly managed. They ran the wrong insurance, now I receive collection calls until they process the correct insurance. I had to wait over an hour for one of my "APPOINTMENTS", you're better off just walking in. Went to the office at 3pm on a Wednesday and the office was open, but no one was in there. I called the office number, while in the office, and spoke to someone who told me to pass by the office by 4pm, not knowing I was literally standing at the desk where no one was. The Doctor did a great job as per my standards, but I will seek a different office and hope for an equally competent doctor for any future visits.

James Choi

Most unprofessional medical practice i've ever been to. They had me wait over 1h45m for the doctor who saw me for maybe 1min and then rushed out. Did not explain anything about what the issue was or what the medications were for. Said they prescribed two but the pharmacy only received one. When trying to call back the main office said they would send a note marked with "URGENT" and that someone would call me back immediately. 30hours later still no response. Would not go back here if they were the only dermatology office in the state. Terrible. Update: Still no call, no prescription for the second medication, and the one i did get is completely ineffective as my condition has worsened. I guess misdiagnosing is easy when you're not actually paying attention to the patient.

Too long of a wait for a Tier 1 Doctor. It's like they triple book appts. Don't recommend this place.

Dr. Groissier's clinical skills are w/o parallel. He diagnosed a rare derm condition my wife had while pregnant. He called us at home while he was researching her condition. Amazing dermatologist and an great guy!

David Rodriguez

My experiences with Dr. Groisser and the Dermatology Group have been very positive. The front office staff is very friendly, and Dr. Groisser provides me with the information and guidance that I need to continue caring for my skin outside of his office. Special thanks to Jeannie, the skin care consultant, who is especially kind and always available to offer guidance on skin care products and general questions.

annette flores

I liked the doc and the waiting time is ridiculous. They make you pay before you see the doc which is cool but then you get relentless calls and then an email about a payment you already made. Their staff clearly needs more training on how to sumbit a simple payment properly. That harrasment over $20 bucks was beyond ridiculous. Went there last year and I'm still dealing with them over $20 measly dollars.

M. Andino

Horrible service. Incompetent staff and that’s me being generous! You’re better off going to another. Deematology group.

Len Zaccone

Deana Flynn

The receptionists are very nice and do their job efficiently. The wait to get into a room is always over an hour and then another 20-30 minutes in the room to see the doctor. The doctor says things that he can't possibly believe himself and the rooms are so dirty, I will never go back.

Deb KimLu, Ph.D.

I brought my two kids in and waited an hour and 15 minutes to be seen by the doctor for 1 minute. Very overbooked practice and was very dissatisfied with the physician's lack of bedside manner or time. I expected a thorough skin screening and was told the physician conducted the scan in the minute he saw both my kids.

Balaji Kalimireddi

Great experience here, staff is friendly the doctor works hard to ensure that he sees everyone with the same quality of care. I took the earliest appointment they have as the I am busy during the day. best time to come is around 6:30am. Even at this time it is busy but the wait was not that bad, I have to say for all the negative comments I have seen that was not my experience. hope this helps.

Peter Scherrer

First time meeting Dr Grossier and I was very impressed. Very informative and he addressed all of my concerns. Extremely professional and friendly. He took care of all my skin issues on the first visit effortlessly. His staff was also professional. I would highly recommend him to all my family and friends.

Andreia R

I saw PA Melissa at the Nutley location to remove some syringomas around my eyes and to remove a small skin tag under my eye as well. I liked Melissa, she was professional and very sweet. My problem with this company is their billing department. I knew the syringoma removal would be cosmetic and I was charged $150 for that. That was fine. I also paid my copay of $30. That means I paid $180 at the visit. I was told my insurance was only being billed for the skin tag I was removing since everything else was cosmetic. The removal of the skin tag took literally 3 seconds because it was done in conjunction with the cosmetic work. I was billed over $350 for this skin tag removal. Due to my deductible, I have a bill of $218 in addition to what my insurance already paid and what I paid at the visit. How is it that removing syringomas which is time consuming only costs $150 but the 3 second skin tag and visit cost me several hundred? In total, that’s almost $500 for a 20 minute visit. I’ve been to multiple dermatologists before and was never billed this much for a visit and procedure with a PA. That is absolutely outrageous. I am a PA student myself and have worked for a specialist for several years. Their unwillingness to reevaluate and work with my situation is appalling. Save yourself the time and GO ELSEWHERE!

omer seven

I do not recommend. They are overbooked, and understaffed i guess. Not even 1-2 mins was spent with the patient. The doctor doesnt listen to the patient. The wait room is overcrowded it looks like people are all just jumbled in there. Try your chances somewhere else. As a self pay customer i got a bill later on saying i had to pay more money, i called they said disregard it. I hope they dont send another bill and say i owe them money. Not everything is about money, schedule less people and provide a better service by talking and listening to your patients. go to your primary care physician before coming here. If they recommed a specialist then only see if it makes sense. Overpriced, under served. Should have read the reviews before i came

Kathy Rosenberg

Dr. Grossier is a top dermatologist and my family and I have been going to him for years, first at the Verona, NJ practice and now in the Nutley office. I work at an academic medical center in NYC and Dr. Grossier is the best dermatologist you can find, with top credentials. He has treated us for a variety of issues, and now my high school daughter is being treated for acne. She is now "cured" after a careful regimen of Accutane, and my daughter has peachy perfect skin, and we are grateful for this. (By the way, do not let yourself or your kids suffer through having acne when it can be successfully treated! We were hesistant to try Accutane, but the fact of the matter is other remedies, like antibiotics, have side effects. Nothing worse than having a pretty girl suffer through high school with acne unnecessarily.) We have sometimes waited a short while to see Dr. Grossier, but he is worth the wait--best to get your derm issues solved by this expert.

The wait time is ridiculous Our time is valuable too.

Esteban Ramirez

When to see the Doctor at this place to check my skin..He did a biopsy and promise me three times that he will call me with the results.. never hear from him

1000waystoscrewup

I'm 16 and 2017 I broke out really bad and I never really broke out crazy before. Usually only get one to two pimples here and there but this time it was so many around my face I lost track counting. Overall yes the wait is long, but I wouldn't be more happy with my face going to another place. This place was amazing and helped get my face on track again. Thank you

Gisella Burgos

rohan patel

The wait time is awfule, i usually spend 1 and a half hours in the lobby plus 45 minutes in the room.

Kevin Clifford

I've been to other dermatologists before but this is the worst one. First of all there was a 45 minute wait after my scheduled appointment time. Couldn't be any more obvious that they double book everyone. The doctor came off as very arrogant and pushy. He did not address my primary concern in a professional manner but instead focused on trying to sell me accutane. I wasn't even there for acne, I wanted my dry scalp looked at, which he only glanced at. I left feeling talked into a medication as if I was just sold a lemon by a sleezy car salesman. I won't be picking up any of his prescriptions.

Rose Schoener

If i could give this doctors office no stars i would. I am willing to overlook the long wait and the arrogence of the doctor if that meant my daughters psorises cleared up, but.... To not return a phone call after 2 text messages and 2 verbal messages with the staff about authorization of the perscribtion that was NOT uptained as it should have been, is unacceptable to me. I dont care how good of a doctor you say or think you are... Dermatologists are a dime a dozen.. Ill yske my copay and insurance payout and go somewhere else

kori sheridan

I recently went to the dermatology group. I am a HUGE fan of Melissa. Melissa is a PA with this group and i cant begin to thank her. I panic very easy and when i was told i had "worrysome spots" i automatically thought the worst. Melissa was patient, considerate, caring and understanding of what i was going through. This passed tuesday i had my procedure. I could tell you the anticipation was way worse than the actual procedure itself. I was so scared and Melissa was so gentle, i didnt feel a thing. I was slightly sore the day of, now a day after i couldnt feel a thing. Although i know im not out of the woods, i do know that having melissa by my side i feel as though i am in great hands. I trust her and value the treatment she has provided. I would recommend this office and melissa to family and friends. Thank you melissa, you made such a scary experience so comforting.

Daisy Zapata

Dr. Groisser is a great doctor. He helped cure my very severe acne. Appointments are early in the morning so therefore I wasn’t late for school neither was my mom late for work. Yes I do admit that there was a long hour wait but once seen the appointment took no longer than 5 minutes. It was in and out , in the end everything worked out I am now am clear from acne! I would recommend Dr. Grossier to friends, family and any one else looking for help with their skin.

Alex Tound

Bad, bad all around

Mark Reyes

Clean, bright, pleasant, Facility. They start early and get right to business. All employees are very nice and helpful. It is often busy which means there is a brief wait sometimes but what do you expect from a grade A dermatology group? Obviously everyone will also want to use them. Dr. Groisser is a man that gets straight to the point and does not waste your time. He answers all questions and is easy to contact for any concerns even after appointment hours. His network is excellent with getting medication. He was able to have mine delivered to my house 2 days after prescription. When I tried with a previous dermatologist it took over a month and I just gave up. This team is dedicated to helping and treating their patients.

George Tsemberlis

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Groisser’s. I always have a great experience when I am there for check ups. He is very thorough in his examinations and will spend the time to go over any issues that may come up. His office staff are professional and go out of their way to make sure that the patient is getting the care they need. In the last year I have seen drastic improvements in the wait times in his office as well. I highly recommend Dr. Groisser as a dermatologist.

Joe Mannuzza

Been here over 1 hour waiting for an 8:30am appointment! Unacceptable. 9:34am still waiting
