Dr. Ghotra is an amazing doctor. She was very supportive throughout pregnancy from initial to the post delivery, and had a normal delivery. She understood my questions, concerns very well and took extreme care during pregnancy. Every visit I had with her put my mind at ease because of her calm and cool nature which I find is her best quality. I would recommend her definitely to anybody who is looking for an OB

I went to see Dr. Ghotra when I became pregnant. She's knowledgeable, confident, friendly and reassuring and instantly put me at ease. She was extremely supportive throughout my pregnancy and we were able to handle all challenges during pregnancy with her constant encouragement and guidance. I had a normal delivery after a long labor and I can't thank her enough for instilling confidence in me and ensuring that I don't give up. Also, special thanks to Laura who handles blood work in the office, and is extremely gentle and patient and made me comfortable each time.

On my first visit i was a little skeptic, as of how things would workout!! But after meeting Dr.Ghotra, she made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions and concerns. I had a super long and complex delivery, but Dr.Ghotra was calm and confident throughout the process.It was because of her i was able to have a normal delivery and very smooth recovery!! M very happy that i had her as my Ob/gyn.

Amazing Doctor - One of the best OB-GYN in Jersey City Area. She handled my wife twin pregnancy ( a complex case) with utmost care. She kept us well informed about the details and conditions about pregnancy. We could plan most things in advance. The staffs here are courteous and helpful. ** Laura - The most helpful aid you can get in blood reports, test, etc. My wife still has a warm feeling about her service. All staffs are helping and would respond back whenever required. We are now blessed with Twins - All kudos to Dr. Ghotra .

She is a very good Doctor. But her staff is very incompetent. I had to do an emergency move out of state and I have been requesting my medical records be faxed to the new doctor for 3 weeks now. Which means, I’m 34 weeks pregnant and haven’t seen a doctor since I was 28 weeks because I moved 2 weeks after my last appointment with her and it took me a week to find a doctor. This is my first child so you can imagine my fear right now. They keep telling me they faxed it with no confirmation or that they’ll call me back and even once told me their fax machine is down. It’s just not fair. So in my opinion, she’s a good doctor and cares for you while you’re there, after that... it doesn’t matter what you need, you’re in your own.

My husband found Dr Ghotra on Zocdoc once we found out we were expecting. Being this was our first pregnancy everything was very new to us, finding the right doctor was important. With the very first appointment we knew we made the right choice with the doctor. She is very thorough, detailed and has great bedside manners. She helped us throughout the pregnancy and was very open to hearing our concerns and answering all questions that we had. We ran into some complications during the pregnancy but was very satisfied with the way Dr. Ghotra handled it and explained it to us. And during the delivery process she was available on text/calls until we made it to the hospital. She was there as soon as we got settled, she was quick to recognize the risk and decided to do a C-section within minutes of arriving, if it wasn't for her our baby boy would have had a hard time. She treated us like family and was very supportive throughout the whole process, even after the delivery she made sure to check on me the day after in the hospital. I would highly recommend her to anyone. U won't be disappointment, she is the sweetest and kindest doctor u will ever come across. I have read other reviews about the staff and concern for wait time, but once you get to know the staff they are the sweetest people even being soo busy they try their best to help everyone and very very accommodative with appointments.

This was my WORST doctor's office experience ever! I walked in and Dr. Ghotra was at the desk with 2 receptionists. I smiled and said hi, no one said hi back to me and the doctor just looked at me and looked back at her papers... you have to look my V*** - that's an uncomfortable situation for most, you can at least say hi. But you know what, okay, maybe you're busy... moving on. I was only greeted when I went to the front desk by one receptionist who looked at me like she was lost and I was lost, but after I said I'm a new patient and have an appointment at 11 am, she took my ID and insurance. Maybe 10minutes later the second receptionist gave me paperwork to fill out without a pen. So I asked for one, no answer. Then said louder, "excuse me can I have a pen or can I just take the one from the sign in sheet?" Again no answer, so I took the one from the sign in sheet and started to fill out the paperwork. I made my appointment through ZocDoc and I did my forms pre-checkup on my laptop this morning so everything was fresh in my mind and the forms were exactly the same. So I told the receptionist, well I tried haha and she heard me eventually, that I did these already online can't you use that and she told me I have to fill them again for the file. I'm not new to a doctor's office I used to work at one and I know that if you offer your patients the forms online all you have to do it print them out and put them in the file. It's not rocket science, it barely requires thought. Now, I can understand if the printer was broken, but since they used it to print the forms they gave me... I highly doubt that was the issue. Maybe the wifi was down? I don't know because the reply I received from this woman was a shoulder shrug. So I sat back down with all of this information and realized that your doctor and your gynecologist should be someone you are comfortable with, that's the beauty of being able to choose your own medical professionals. So I never actually saw Dr. Ghotra, I got back up and asked for my ID and insurance card and said I want to cancel because I don't think I'm going be treated well here. Good luck, she has great ratings on ZocDoc and Healthgrades and I hope today was just a bad day, but I kind of doubt it - I saw the faces of her other patients, a couple, leave. They didn't seem so pleased either.

My first review got deleted! Hmm I wonder why. Let me start by saying that Dr Ghotra was nice, friendly and always cared about my baby. My only complaint with her is that sometimes she says something (like come in 4 weeks) then doesn't remember telling you that. She told me to come twice postpartum then didn't remember telling me to come back the 2nd time, also didn't do the ultrasound the 1st time and also tells me insurance won't cover 2 postpartum visits (your fault not mine lady). / The main problems are.. the waiting time is at least 1 and 1/2 HRS or more every single time (the Dr knows and does nothing). They overbook people. Doesn't matter what day or time it's always a long wait. I even come early and that doesn't make a difference. The staff is unprofessional yet some of the ladies are really nice & sweet. The waiting room is small so it's always crowded. The exam rooms are small too. Her equipment is old so all the ultrasounds needed are done at another location! I have more to say but already wrote an essay here. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE AND I MYSELF AM NOT COMING BACK. She said to come back for my yearly gyn visit but i'm not going. She's never going to see me again. I'm already researching other OBGYN'S.

Strange, strange experience. All the good reviews....cant rely on them anymore. Office is super small, not enough seats and people are always standing. Came earlier than my appointment, I was seen an hour and a half later. The woman at the front desk, I would not say she is rude but lets just say she was not professional. The girls in the back, whether they were nurses or receptionists were kind. The rooms are smaller than the size of my bathroom. Completely uncomfortable. I find it strange that none of these girls asked the reason for my visit. Mind you, I was told to do private area testings, I was not asked, this occurred as soon as I got into the room. I found it so weird, you are supposed to ask patients if they want to do it! Now the doctors experience, I felt rushed and as if she did not really care about my concerns as if it was irrelevant. Did not really try to find different solutions or take a different approach. Typical. I felt very uncomfortable by her. She was so strange.

Dr. Ghotra is the best doctor anyone could ask for. I had a lot of issues that arose with my pregnancy but she made sure to tackle and resolve each of them. She really cares about her patients and is very knowledgeable in her field. She assured my husband and I of a normal delivery once we listened to her. We did and we have our beautiful baby girl now. I ave sen many doctors in jersey city.Dr Ghotra is the best.She is very knowledgeable.She spends time to explain and most important she makes sure you understand.The waiting time can some time be longer when they have emergency but her staff is so nice .thry explain it you the reason.anyways every doctor you go ,you have to wait.as long when doctor sees you abd don’t rush you I think that matters a lot. After reading the doctors reviews i made an appointment and gave it a shot. The doctor placed me on a round of estrogen and clomid to increase fertility.... I am screaming at the rooftop after one round one month... i am now 6 weeks pregnant!!!!!

One of good Dr's whom I ever known. As we shifted recently, we were not sure where to go but she helped us a lot with all queries, in network hospital everything. Really helpful and supportive. Dr. Ghotra is great doctor and one among the best in Jersey City.She definitely deserve 5 stars for her great service and care for her patients. If you’re the one who value service and care, then this is a place definitely to consider. There are some negative comments on long waiting time and small place etc. A good doctor has lots of patients. Obviously waiting time run long when some patients consume more time than expected , Also when everyone try to have their appointments at same time. Mostly higher waiting times are only experienced at morning hours. So avoid morning appointments if you hate waiting. Yes, place is small but when you value good care & service,this doesn’t matter much.

My wife and myself moved to New jersey when my wife was 5 months pregnant. We found Dr.Ghotra through some of our friends and approached her. When we requested that we were due for next level Examination and Scan soon, she accommodated us . Even Though we did first level scan, She insisted us to go for the first level scan again which resulted very helpful for us. We found that my wife's cervix too short and Dr.Ghotra helped us through medication and support. Even We were not sure of taking steroids for baby, We trusted her, and took the shot. It was miracle because our baby was born just two days after the day my wife took the injection and that helped our baby sustain breathing on his own. It was her instinct and our trust , helped us through tough times. The nurses are great, The weight time is fine. Dr.Ghotra is very optimistic, explaining things in understandable way. My Wife was admitted in hospital early morning and Dr.Ghotra was in constant touch with hospital and during Labor , She was very composed and delivered our baby safely. Thanks to Dr.Ghotra and Staffs.

I really wanted to give this place a good review but here goes. If you’re here for your pregnancy checkups - make sure that this is going to be a commitment you’re willing to make. The doctor is fine but the team is unprofessional. By biggest issue with this place is that they never adhere to their appointment time. Doesn’t matter when you make the appointment - if you get there even half an hour before your appointment time, they’ll always book 4-5 times the capacity and you end up wasting a minimum of 2 hours just waiting. What’s the point of having an appointment if everyone is going to be treated as if it’s a walk in? this is the situation of every woman who comes here - you’ve to make an appointment, and wait for hours even after that. If you’re pregnant, you’ll have to visit the doctor many many times over the course of your pregnancy, and you don’t want this added stress and annoyance every time you go see a doctor. If you’re ok with waiting, go here. If you are a working woman and have things to do and spending countless hours in waiting time is something you are not ok with, don’t go here. Find a hospital - even hospitals have better waiting times than here.

she always ask for scan without any reason only to check baby heart beat she do scan, everytime my reports were normal but she said to make appointments to tell the normal results which she can tell over the phone, she always forget to give perscibtion to me and said given to your husband and to husband she said given to your wife she lost somewhere,i changed my doctor at last point of my pregnancy and i made a good decision

Dr didn't listen to the actual problem, without listening to our problem she jumps into some other topic and she diverted the main issue for which we visited there.. and worst part is we had to wait for almost 45 mins even after having an appointment. This office is a JOKE. No matter how early your appointment is, you will be waiting at least an hour. The waiting room is dirty. Everything is dirty. The staff is unprofessional. Urine samples are taken in plastic drinking cups and left uncovered in the bathroom. Things that could easily be done over the phone (test results, birth control refills, etc.) require an appointment (so... waiting an hour and paying a copay.) Nobody answers the phone. It took me FOUR TRIES to finally get an answer. This place is awful. Dr. Ghotra isn't a bad doctor at all, but this office is so unpleasant that it doesn't even matter. Do not go here.

Dr Ghotra is amazing human, very caring doctor, very knowledgeable in her subject. We never faced a challenge to get the appointment at her office. Doctor and Staff understands the situation and anxiety of first time parents. They are able to handle all questions with satisfactory answers and able to accommodate last minute appointments whenever needed before and post pregnancy. Her office staff is also always ready to help. On the day of delivery, She had total 3 deliveries at that night at the hospital so she was in hospital from 12 am and she was available at 5 am (along with regular room visits to see the progress) while it was a time for us, she was available with same energy and enthusiasm despite having her own office patients in the morning. She insisted hospital staff to try different techniques for normal delivery. She was confident throughout the appointments, labor, at the same time, she guided us correctly, assured us of normal delivery and at the same time, helped us to set right expectations while whole pregnancy whenever needed. she always advised and reminded us to walk more, drink more water, stay hydrated, suggested beneficial food to take which we believe was the key to normal delivery. Thanks to DR Ghotra to give us the best and perfect gift of our life and for normal delivery. I have always recommended her to my friends and family and will continue to do so.

The staff never answer the phone. And always tell you to call back a hour later every time you call, it’s ridiculous. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, also leaves you on the phone for a long period of time just to make an appointment, had to hang up and call back again, So basically I was left on hold for no reason because when I called back the second time the lady that answered the phone set me up for an appointment.

Visited earlier this month, Very nice doctor and staff, HOWEVER Office is too small. Not sanitary in my opinion. The way and place that I had to take my urine sample in a regular dollar store cup and touch a marker that other people probably just touched with their urine filled hands. Take notes that there was an EMPTY soap bottle in the bathroom.

It's been almost a year when I visited Dr. Ghotra for the first time for my prenatal checkup. I have loved the doctor since that time. She listens patiently, answers all the questions even if you ask the same multiple times. She goes extra mile to connect with you to make you feel comfortable. She knows what she is doing and keeps you informed at every stage. She is always available when you need her and even responds during weekends and off office hours when you have important questions. I absolutely love her. Even her staff is extremely helpful and has been very patient with me the entire time, be it when I needed to reschedule my appointments or fill out the paper work multiple times. I would recommend her to every one out there looking for personal attention and care. I wish I had option of giving her 6 stars out of 5.

dr.ghotra was great with my sister as well as get staff. my sister wanted to leave because she was unsure about the doctor. the minute get medical assistant walked in she read my sistera body language right away I will never forget her name she great I believe her name was Jessica but wow she made my sister feel so at home asured her she would love the doctor and she was so right. she's the reason my sister stayedand the phlebotomist wow a heart of gold so gentle she was amazing they both were. Dr. Ghotra is one of the best OB/GYN I have ever met. She is highly experienced, knowledgeable and one can completely rely on her for everything she recommends for you. I had twins and this being a high risk pregnancy, she took every step to make sure that both, mine and the babies health was good till the end of pregnancy. Under her care and guidance my babies were safely born at 35 and half weeks. She is always reachable and knows every detail about her patient by heart. She answers all your questions at every visit, even if they are silly. Her staff is very cooperative but sometimes they are too busy as they are handling so many patients. I would definitely recommend her without second thoughts.

Superb experience since last 1.5 year. From beginning very 1st day to till the time the way she treated my wife was amazing like as her sister. Young but highly knowledgeable. Never forget anything related to my wife as very sharp memory she has. Few people says small office but look at the things that how she treated you that’s more important to compare office size. Front desk staff also nice and good. Dr. Ghotra gave a very good guidance from very 1st day to us and recently we blessed with our 1st miracle baby boy with my wife’s normal delivery under her care. We shifted from Chicago to New Jersey in my 7th month of pregnancy. Navjot has accepted us while many other doctors in New Jersey have not agreed as it is last months of pregnancy. we felt its blessing to get such a good doctor. She directed us to few labor and prenatal classes that helped us a lot for preparing for labor and taking of baby as first time parents. Usually it is hard to find somebody who would take you after 13 weeks. Doctor Ghotra had no problem following me at already advanced stage of the pregnancy; 2. It’s a small space with tons of people. The staff and doctor keep shouting in their regional language. It’s absolutely unprofessional. The nursing staff is nice. But the doctor took about 5 minutes and didn’t even listen to everything I had to say and started writing me four prescriptions. She didn’t take time to explain what’s wrong. She didn’t care about my questions. She was in such a hurry that I forgot to ask her most of my questions. How can you diagnose a patient and give them medicine and not explain to them what’s happening to them. But she didn't give me that and now my problem is spiraling into a bigger one. The prescription she wrote was only for tests and not medicine. And when I called her to tell her the same she disregarded me and started shouting in her office in Hindi saying ‘I don’t understand what her problem is. She lost the prescription and now is asking for a new one’ I have never felt so unattended to in life. I booked an appointment and yet was asked to wait more than 2 hours. This has happened to me twice here. I would not recommend anyone going here. Please find yourself a more professional doctor.

Dr. Ghotra and her team are amazing!! This was my first OB/GYN visit and was very nervous going into the office. The team and Dr. Ghotra made sure that I was relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Ghotra answered all of the questions my husband and I had and assured us that we would have a normal delivery. Throughout the pregnancy she made sure to get all of testings and scans were done in a timely manner and all of the results were relayed to us as soon as they were received. Since this was our first pregnancy she kept us informed on all the little details, made sure we attended prenatal classes as well as a hospital tour so that we knew everything before the big day arrived. Thanks to Dr. Ghotra I had an easy normal delivery and was sent home in 2 days. Dr. Ghotra has amazing bed side manners and she is available whenever we had a question. We had an amazing experience with Dr. Navjot Ghotra, in a most important event in a woman’s life. We moved to Jersey City from India in the 6th month of the pregnancy. The one thing that we were most unsure about was whether we will get the right medical support in the US. We still decided to move to the US, hoping and praying that we will get someone good. And then we met Dr. Navjot early July – all our worries and doubts vanished after talking to her. We were blessed with a baby boy early Oct’19.. it was a smooth affair and none of this would have been possible without her. A few things about Dr. Navjot: 1) She creates a nice, easy-going atmosphere and that makes the Mom-to-be very comfortable. The experience of visiting her clinic is always a happy and joyful affair. It’s like you have not visited a ‘clinic’ at all. She doesn’t talk in medical jargon but explains things in a very simple and easy language. There are no un-necessary tests and procedures.. but everything in the right measure and what’s needed. 2) Provides adequate time and attention to the patients. Given that she is such a good doctor with lots of patients, she is obviously busy – but that doesn’t stop her from spending adequate time with the patients. She always listened to us with great patience and answered every single query that we have ever had (however basic the query may have been). 3) It’s always so easy to get an appointment of your choice with Dr. Navjot.. We were able to get appointment sometimes with just a day in advance. That’s quite remarkable for any doctor in the US. She also has great empathy and understanding and there is respect of ‘Privacy’, which the support staff also adheres to. 4) We wanted a normal delivery and that’s what happened in the end. Dr. Navjot assured that she will try her best in making that happen. It’s well known that circumstances can force the hand when it comes to ‘kind of delivery’.. but we have no doubt that she is a person, who would always give her best in making the ‘normal delivery’ happen – something that so many women want. 5) Lastly, on the delivery day, she is the person in command. She was always connected, gave clear instructions to the hospital, the staff and also to us on what to do. We were able to speak with her on her mobile phone and she would respond quickly and with great clarity on ‘what to do’. She was present at the hospital at the ‘time of delivery’ and was the person ‘in-charge’ of the whole process – it was so comforting to have her presence at the hospital. We can go on and on.. The best part is the wait time is never more then 10-15 mins and it’s easy to schedule urgent/ad-hoc appointments. She takes personal care of the patients. We were always concerned if she could make it to the hospital when we need her, as she is a private practitioner but she always assured us that she will be there when we need her. Had a smooth and great experience for our first baby delivery. Dr. Ghotra is an amazing doctor in NJ/NY area. She took care of my wife’s pregnancy from initial to the post delivery, and had a normal delivery. She understand her patients very well and takes extreme care during pregnancy. Her staff is extremely helpful and organized. On the flip side, she has a small clinic and I feel she should get some big space for her clinic, as her patients are increasing.

I am so glad I met Dr. Ghotra. My 3rd pregnancy was so stressful but she managed to put me at ease and answered all my questions during every visit. Most doctors nowadays only care about money and hardly have time to answer patients questions and concerns, but she goes above and beyond for her patients. She’s very honest, intelligent and professional. When you have a conversation with her, she remembers every single detail. Her staff is very friendly. When you walk in her office, you feel like family. Yes, her office tends to be super busy, but it’s because she’s a TERRIFIC doctor and everyone wants to see her. Dr. Ghotra helped me through out my whole pregnancy, she is a great doctor. When I was going to my visits I use to get upset because I felt like she was being hard on me about not gaining so much weight during my pregnancy, But after going threw so much Medically at that time, I later realized why. I feel like she made the right calls, and now I have a healthy baby girl. She cares about her patients and wants what’s best, and makes it known. I didn’t give her 5 stars because the wait time to be seen is pretty long. She has so many patients and a small office, but I rather be in an office with a number of patients, then a place with none. She’s worth the wait !
