I love Dr. Shoman! He is absolutely the best! He is kind, caring, extremely thorough. This was my 1st pregnancy and he always took his time, and made sure to answer any of my questions! I recommend him to all my family and friends! He truly has a passion for what he does and it shows! Also, his office staff is wonderful! I looked forward to every visit. There aren't enough words to describe how thankful I am that he is my Doctor! Bless you Dr.Shoman! ❤️

I highly discourage the use of this doctor. Many questionable and suspicious practices that are unsettling. From the questionable issues with Aetna, to why he couldn’t confirm if he had rights at a hospital he previously did, to the name change to why he wouldn’t accept a high risk pregnancy to my last straw him literally cutting me off and hanging up on me because I asked him to complete a form that was required by disability. By the way it was impossible to get him on the phone. His service is subpar, there are better much more understanding, upstanding doctors. So rude and uncaring. I should not have overlooked the time he told me I was “wasting his time” because he had other patients when I was asking questions about my pregnancy. Very disappointed.

I was 28 weeks pregnant when my OBGY stopped using my insurance and I was forced to find a new one. I was very nervous switching the doctor and found Dr. Shoman online, based on reviews. Those positive reviews are truly deserved by this doctor and his Hackensack office stuff. He performed my C section ( first time for me, but 2nd pregnancy) and everything went smooth. Everything was explained, told and prepared to help me healed better before/after procedure. His stuff is very nice, knowledgeable and respect your time. I have never waited more than 15 minutes and always being offered best appointment time for me. I will use his service for a future routine appointment and recommend his practice to anyone who is looking for a great doctor!

Great doctor. Warm and smart. The only bad part was the demand for a cash-only copay. I’ve never seen that in my life. So 1973. Plus, they should tell you this ahead of time. As a new patient, I was forced to cross Polify Road and go to a gas station ATM to pay for my visit. That won’t be happening ever again.

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Shoman. He truly honestly cares. He gave me his email to ask any questions that I have and he always responds right away. He's such a genuinely nice and kind hearted person and it shows in the way he treats his patients. All of my nurse friends go to Dr. Shoman as patients. His staff are also very nice and friendly I would recommend anyone to Dr. Shoman !!!

The worst doctor that I could ever meet. The one who thinks only about money. He is so expensive I went to another doctor who is charging me only 2700$ while that Adam shoman wanted to charge me $10,000. Once I said I’m moving to another state & cant continue with him he refused to see me unless I pay him at least $5000 just to see me for one month. I advise every woman not to go to such a greedy person.

I highly recommend Dr. Shoman, he is absolutely amazing. He is very knowledgeable, polite, responds promptly to messages/calls and is very patient. He took care of me while I was pregnant and delivered my baby girl 2 years ago at Hackensack Hospital; I always looked forward to my check ups/appointments with him because he always made my husband and I feel at ease and extremely comfortable. After the end of each check up, we were always welcomed into his office and he took his time speaking to us and answering any questions or concerns that we had. His practice is very clean and I never had to wait more than 5 mins in the waiting room. His staff members are very polite. My husband and I are looking forward to baby #2 soon and of course being in the care of Dr. Adam Shoman. We honestly wouldn’t have it any other way.

I would absolutely recommend this office, especially to an expecting mother. I have been going to Dr. Shoman for 11 years (he delivered both my children) prior to him I tried about 3 other Drs but wasnt comfortable with any of them. It was my first pregnancy and I was nervous with a lot of questions. He is very gentle and thoughtful, answers questions and isnt dismissive with your concerns. The office is always clean and the staff is professional (I am a difficult patient so I know).

Dr Shoman is great!! His office is an hour away but it’s worth it. He always makes me feel extremely comfortable. He is approachable and knowledgeable about everything I need to discuss.. he takes the time to listen to my concerns . Waite time is never long .. Knowing I don’t have insurance he was very accommodating all he cared about is getting me better. After each visit he always tells me to email him and let him know how the medication is working he always emails me back right away. I’ve been to many doctors Dr Shoman is truly one of the best. Thank you.

I transferred my medical records to their office and had an appointment with them yesterday. I was recommended to see Dr Adam Shoman by Doctor baker and supposably he has like five stars, the best ratings. That's definitely false. My experience there was horrible, the services was horrible and on top of all that, the doctor only scanned through my medical records with in 2 minutes and decided that I have a high risk of pregnancy. So he didn't even want to see me or do anything with me. I felt hurt and scared and confused so I asked if the doctor can just see me so that I can have a better understanding of why I'm a high risk and why I can't be seen by him, but no response. He let me leave the office crying and thinking that there's something wrong with my baby. Now I have to send my records back to Saint peters hospital and see what they can do for me. I also never had a co pay with my doctors at Saint peters hospital or my primary Doctor, Dr Cogliani in Piscataway, nj. He's actually a great doctor, but he's a little old school. The service there is amazing and I'm actually looking forward for him to deliver my baby. I know my rights with my insurance and at the Hackensack office, they want to take you for your money. I hope this was a help to the mothers that are think of going with Dr Adam Shoman. Do not do it!

Doctor Shoman is the BEST OBGYN! He delivered my baby#3 but I wish I had found him sooner for my previous two pregnancies. He is extremely friendly and never rushed me. He was there to listen to all my questions and was very good at explaining. Although I was considered a high risk pregnancy, he always put me at ease! I can see why many patients would give Dr. Shoman five stars! He's just the best all around and probably the #1 obgyn in this area!!!

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Shoman. First of all, he is professional, takes his time to listen to my concerns and incredibly smart. He is a huge advocate for his patients and I felt very protected with him as a obgyn while I was pregnant. I would recommend him 1000 times over! His bedside manner is top notch. Every single time I had to call him after office hours he would respond to me immediately. I would recommend Dr. Shoman to anyone and everyone having a baby. Not to mention his front desk staff girls are incredibly sweet.

I rarely write reviews and this is the very first review I've written for Google. I just want to say that my experience(s) with Dr. Shoman for the births of both my children (8 yrs. apart) have been amazing. I think so highly of this man. He is kind, patient, understanding, and very good at what he does. I don't think I could say enough about him. Unfortunately, I think I'm done on the baby-making front, but if that ever changes, he is the one and only OB I would go to and he is the only OB that I refer to those closest to me.

If I can give Dr. Shoman and his staff 100+ stars, I would! I HIGHLY recommend him. Where do I even begin??? Dr. Shoman is absolutely AMAZING- he is very knowledgeable, polite, responds promptly to messages/calls and is extremely patient... I went to him when I was about 4 weeks pregnant and he delivered my baby girl last summer at Hackensack Hospital; I always looked forward to my check ups/appointments with him because he always made my husband and I feel at ease and extremely comfortable. After the end of each check up, we were always welcomed into his office and he took his time speaking to us and answering any questions or concerns that we had. His practice is extremely clean and I never had to wait more than 5 mins in the waiting area- his staff members are very nice and sweet.. they all truly made us feel like family. My husband and I are looking forward to baby #2 in the near future and of course being in the care of Dr. Adam Shoman (we honestly wouldn’t have it any other way). We highly recommend him because he is truly a gem.. BEST DOCTOR ever, 100+ stars.

Not sure how this practice has such good reviews. Do yourself a favor and steer clear. I'd love to write my full "in detail" review on what my wife and I endured, but you'd be reading a book. From rushed appointments, rude bedside manner, impossible to get a hold of at times, etc. Once again, just say no and find another doctor.
