Dr. Thakker saved my life. Went for my first visit for shingles....not only was that cured, but she discovered a melanoma which was quickly removed (now cancer free). Since then, all appointments have been efficient, thorough, friendly and helpful. If you can call a visit to the Dr. a pleasure, this would qualify.

She is a kind, caring human being who takes the time to explain the situation and answers all questions with great patience. We never feel rushed. With all the doctors we visit, we would say that Dr. Thakker and her staff are the very top of the medical field in the way they treat and care for patients.

Went to Dr. Thakkar's office to get a full body scan. Found out I needed two biopsies. Dr. Thakkar refused to do both biopsies right then and there (even though they take no more then 1 minute each). Made me come back in two weeks to get the first one and then made me come back two weeks from there to get the second one, which was inconvenient for me due to my works schedule. My sister went to DermOne down the street to get a full body scan and her Dr. did FIVE biopsies right then in there. Please know that if you have never had biopsy before, they are the most simple procedures you can imagine. I truly believe that this was just a way for the Dr. to bill my insurance even more. Not to mention that Dr. Thakker is not the type of Dr. to make you feel comfortable whatsoever. She is very snooty and does not care to listen to your concerns or suggestions. Back to DermOne for me!

I am a nurse and was recommended to see Dr. Thakker by my primary physician. I had a growth on my knee that became very painful. Dr. Thakker did a biopsy and determined it was cancer. Within two weeks I was diagnosed and had Mohs surgery. Dr. Thakker is excellent and provided me with all the information I needed prior to my surgery. I highly recommend her to all my co-workers. She is very caring and understanding. She also calls back when you have any questions. The girls in the office are wonderful.

I have been very happy with my visits to Dr. Thakker. She treated me for a precancerous mole and was thoroughly professional throughout the process. Her office is very well run, it is pretty easy to get an appointment, it is state of the art, and very clean. I'm so happy to have found a lovely doctor who knows her stuff - I highly recommend this practice!!

I have been seeing Dr. Thakker for the last few years after switching from another dermatologist in the area. She is always very thorough with her exams and keeps the wait times short. I used to wait well over an hour every time I went to see my other derm! She really knows what she is doing. She diagnosed my melanoma and I feel so lucky that I saw her because I feel she saved my life. I can't thank her enough!!!! The staff are friendly also which is a huge plus. Sometimes, it can be hard to get an appointment the same day but that is the case with most doctors.

Dr. Thakker diagnosed my skin cancer. I was very scared since no one in my family had ever had skin cancer but she made me feel comfortable and got me scheduled for surgery right away. She is very patient and ansewered all my questions. I highly recommend her! Her staff are so helpful also. Her office is very clean too!

This was my first visit to a dermatologist and I was very apprehensive. As soon as I walked into the office, the apprehension left me as I was greeted with smiles as I approached the desk. The women in the office were very patient as I filled out the forms. When taken into the examining room, the woman who took the information, explained just what was going to happen. The day of surgery, all were great.Even though I read about the procedure on the website, the woman who was getting me ready explained a little bit more. Dr Thakker explained what she was doing as she was doing it. Each time I go back, I get the exact same feeling. People there are very caring, friendly , patient and compassionate. While waiting, I had a chance to observe an elderly couple coming for the first time. Again, the woman taking the information was very patient in explaining what needed to be done. They same first impressions are the lasting ones. My first impression of Monarch Dermatology is a very good one and i am passing the information on to friends who have asked me about my experience. Thanks you for providing a very relaxing atmosphere from the time you enter the office until you leave.

Dr. Thakker is an great dermatologist. She removed a skin tumor on my nose a few months ago and did the cosmetic surgery to fix it, which after it healed completely looks beautiful. She is also has an excellent bedside manner and I highly recommend her as a doctor.

Started seeing Dr Thakker about a year ago. Had a terrible itch that would make my arms bleed. She had a wonderful, caring attitude. Her staff is very professional, and appointments are on time. Sent me to an allergist to make sure that was not the problem. It wasn't. She prescribed pills and a cream which took a little time to help. (she told me this would take time as my skin was way too dry). After doing exactly as she told me to do, I finally after three years, got relief. I also had a mole removed and tested OK. I recently went for a whole body scan, and everything was fine. Again....very professional and personable, and made me feel at ease. She sincerely cared about my problem, and didn't give up. staff excellent and appointments are kept on time. Recommend her office highly

Dr. Thakker's incompetence has cost my mother many months of pain an suffering by her inabilty to diagnose a simple skin condition. She examined the skin rash that had been causing my mother to suffer with constant itching, no sleep, pain and depression stemming from the constant itching and burning. Dr. Thakker said the rash was hives. She was given 2 creams to try which did nothing to help. After learning that first treatment given did not work, she have her another cream to treat what the doctor still insisted were hives. Another treatment for hives was prescribed and again it did not work. Rather than consider another possibility she told my mother that she could not help her anymore. Despite not performing a single test and only a visual exam she basically have up. She claimed that the rash was being brought on by my mother herself due to anxiety and stress. I guess the doctor felt that because my mother takes anxiety medication for COPD and she must be a crazy old nut. The fact that the doctor basically wrote her off and didn't care enough to do anything further caused more mental strain on top of the already terrible physical suffering. After many more months of suffering with the rash and itching and mental suffering my mom found another dermatologist to see. On the first visit with this new doctor he immediately performed a biopsy of one of the sores. Within 2 days he had diagnosed the rash as scabies and immediately began treatment. The fact that such a simple test was not done by Dr. Thakker has caused my mother to go through unneeded suffering. I would hope that she is more thorough with her other patients if she can manage to stay in this profession. She has no business being a dermatologist after missing such an easily diagnosable and treatable problem. It's a shame that there is no consquence when this type of thing happens. I would avoid Dr.Thakker unless you enjoy suffering.

This doctor is a hack. Call her dr hacker. Very rough with my father. She needs to find a new profession. Trust me when I say STAY FAR AWAY from this one. I hope she reads her reviews. She should!!

I have been to Dr.Priya Thakker for two different skin issues and both of my issues were resolved like magic! I had a terrible dry skin which she prescribed a cream and some life style changes. Since then dry skin is under control and especially I can't imagine how simple life style changes could have a significant impact to my skin. Later I visited her for a cyst on my arm which she diagnosed it immediately and provided treatment options. It's completely gone now! I was very glad when she let me explain my issues clearly and listened till my last word patiently. One of the best Dermatologists I have ever visited...A+++++!

She was not only very knowledgeable but also took the time to repeatedly follow-up with me to make sure things had been properly addressed. Considering that I have local professional colleagues that hardly ever do that- yet she is across the country from me and did so- is quite impressive; it is a testament to her character and caring nature. I highly recommend her to anyone in search of a skilled dermatologist!
