Staff was cold. The doctor comes in and spends less then 5 minutes with you. He barley said anything I didn't already know by doing my own research. Writes a prescription of antibiotics and a cream...no different from most other dermatologists. No clue why he has good reviews.

Dr. Urman is a good doctor, he knows what he is doing, but I wish he explained more rather than just tell me this is your diagnosis and take medicine x,y,z. Also the staff can be pretty rude. It was difficult getting an appointment itself and walking into the office all of the receptionist were on their phones and barely aknowledged I was there. Not going to lie, I was pretty disappointed walking out of the office.

I went to him 2 years ago about Fordyce spots on my lips and acne scars on my back. He provided absolutely NOTHING!! I was with him all of 3 minutes, his bed side manner is HORRIBLE!!! I went to him based off these glowing reviews and I was HIGHLY disappointed. Go some where else!!!

I had many little moles on my eyelids, they run in my family. Got an appointment with Dr Urman within 1 week. He removed them during the first visit, without making me come back as other derms have done and charging an extra copay. Results are beautiful, there are no marks left at all.

Dr Urman has been our family dermatologist for years. When other primary docs or dermatologists get it wrong, he always gets it right. No long wait times in his office. We are seen shortly after arriving and he is lightning fast in diagnosis and treatment. He even took my call on Christmas to treat a very painful skin wound, saving us the time and potential exposure of an emergency room visit. He was pleasant and his treatment has been very successful. One time, I came with my son to have his mole checked out, and even though I didn't have my own appointment, he looked at a lesion on my face and treated it on the spot as well, saving me having to schedule another visit for myself. Great doc, Sunday hours, resposive, effective and pleasant. Couldn't ask for more.

Dr. Urman is a wonderful doctor and person. He cares deeply for every patient and makes himself available when needed. His office is accommodating and you will be seen when needed. Dr. Urman spends time with patients and treats everyone with respect. I have been to multiple dermatologists with my problem and Dr. Urman has been the only one to properly diagnose and treat it. I fear most people don’t appreciate how MDs are midtreated by insurers and healthcare system. Therefore solo MD has to deal with all the problems patients don’t see. As a result, the disorder, not patient is treated. If a patient feels he/she wasn’t very well and sympathetically treated, he/she should wonder how well the MD is treated as a professional. This man has medical skills and deals with disorders quite well. Everything else could be a lot more expensive and not worth it. So judge by results. On that basis i give him a 5 and all the rest seems superfluous complaints as it’s all a sign of the times making MDs work horses pulling s’alone.

The doctor fit me in 2 hours after I called to get and emergency appointment for a very itchy rash, I had almost no wait to get in to see him when I arrived and he spent a lot of time explaining what was going on with my skin. It turned out to be urticaria. He was very attentive and responsive when I explained my history and asked questions. He was extremely knowledgable. The nurses and staff were all helpful and nice!

I tried to schedule an appointment, called the office, receptionist was ok, just gave one word answers and said to hold one moment while she check time for an appointment 3 weeks from now, no problem. I can wait for little bit, but i ended up waiting for almost 10 minutes, no response and finally hung up. If the receptionist does not have the time to give to scheduling appointments, I would hate to find out how long I would have to wait to see the doctor ones I reached there and how long he would actually take to ask about my issue. Save yourselves some trouble.

I have had psoriasis for over 30 years on my so severe on my palms that I had to periodically go on disability. I have seen 6 dermatologists in that time and have been on everything from Methotrexate to Enbrel with only temporary relief and many side effects. My primary who is in the same building referred me to Dr Urman so I walked over there without an appointment. I came in and asked for an appointment but when the secretary saw my hands she told me to wait and got Dr Urman who said to put me in the room right away. We discussed all the treatment options and Dr Urman performed kenalog injections tight away and started me on a laser treatment. The shots were painful, but he warned me they would be and I was willing to try anything. It is now 3 weeks later and my hands are completely clear. I can't believe it, and my daughter has never seen my hands look so good her whole life (she's 32).

It was no emergency so i still went there and they tells me doctor is not accepting United Health care insurance even it shows in attached picture that he is in network for my insurance. it was just waste of my time. I continue to be impressed with Dr. Urman's professionalism and calming demeanor. Dr. Urman is quite knowledgeable in his field of dermatology. Initially, he asked my reason for my visit. I told him that I had a rash which was spreading on my neck, upper body and face. He looked at it and immediately diagnosed my issue. He asked pertinent questions, and I did remember that I had been outside pulling some weeds around my deck. Dr. Urman prescribed two medications. I was most impressed because I had visited an internist three days before my visit with Dr. Urman and she appeared puzzeled. I have great confidence in Dr. Urman and I highly recommend him, if you are looking for a knowledgeable and competent dermatologist.

I was referred by my Pediatrician for my 2 kids last Friday. I called Dr Urman's office and explained the situation and that my doctor said they should be seen as soon as possible. Dr Urman usually sees patients until 12 pm Friday and he had no slots open, so the secretary told me to come at 12 and he would stay and see me. My kids have severe eczema and were really itchy and uncomfortable. Dr Urman stayed after hours to see them, and within 4 days they were much better and are now almost clear after 1 week. My husband and I have now scheduled appointments for skin exams.

Dr. Urman is wonderful!..Ihad been suffering with blisters and itching over my entire body (scalp also). I have visited many dermatologists in my life but none of them could treat the problems my kids were dealing with. My daughter struggled with hair folliculitis for more than 5 yrs and my son with psoriasis. When I met Dr Urman for my son's psoriasis and saw the results within 2 weeks of treatment, I knew I have met a true dermatologist. He took care of my daughter's hair folliculitis in 2 months. If you have serious dermatology issues and you don't want to waste your time and money then look no further. Dr Urman is very caring and treats his patients more like his family.

Damn these have attitude. I took an appointment for 11:00 am and I was 35 mins away from them. She told me to be there by 11 as they closed at 11am. Understood. But I have 3 kids to get them ready and drop off at my in laws. I called them at 10:31 am and told them I will be 5 to 10 mins late. These people have audacity to tell me how can I be late. I was paying cash for consultation I asked her nicely if they can wait. But no instead she started giving me attitude. I can prove this conversation as I have an audio recorder for all my calls. I would like the doctor who's running this place should listen and take the appropriate actions. You guys are there to serve your patients not talk to them with all that attitude.

If you are looking for a dermatologist, "look no more". Dr. Urman is the best doctor that I had seen in my over 60 years or age. All my life I suffered from scalp conditions. I had seen many dermatologists that prescribed different and expensive medications, that never helped me, at many times I was missdiagnosed. When I visited Dr. Urman, my scalp was completely loaded with painful, itchy sores. He ordered a medication that cleared my condition just in a few days. I only paid $10 for the ointment. I strongly recommend him.

I've never been to a dermatologist before; but I had some kind of growth on my cheek. I chose Dr. Urman because of the great reviews on Google. There are plenty of remedies available on the web these days, but how does one know if growth is cancerous? So once he looked at it, he knew it was just a wart and sprayed some icy matter on it. Told me it will eventually fall off within 3 weeks and he was right. I can't believe that nasty looking wart is gone with no scar. I would definitely recommend his services.

Sure, he knows his stuff but as another reviewer said you feel he is kind of rushes you. I just got the prescription so I can't say it works or not.

I visited this doc a few months ago. I did not have a good experience with him as he was very short with me, did not perform any test and only provided a clinical diagnosis. The reason I went to him was to find out what was causing my problem but he didn't feel the need to do any tests which was unsettling. This is the worst doc I have ever been to and do not recommend. His office staff is also unprofessional. A different dermatologist has determined the cause of my hair problem by performing tests and my condition has drastically improved.

Dr. Urman started out for us as a miracle find, first because he has Sunday hours. But, he turned out to be much more than that. He looks out for my entire family, always makes time for us no matter what the situation, and he truly respects your time. Most of all, during a very routine checkup for me, he spotted something on my arm that many others had seen over the years, but he insisted we take a harder look and sure enough it was malignant melanoma, still caught early. Even my cancer surgeon said it was a great catch and inquired who my Dr. was. That was about 5 years ago. I see Dr. Urman every 3 months even though I don't have to because of my experience with him and the sense of security he provides. He's a pleasure to work with.

Staff were sweethearts! Lousy Dr. couldn't get me out of that room fast enough. He rushed out so fast I couldn't express my concerns. Told me he would see me in a year. I am Irish with severely damaged skin. Exam lasted less than 2 mins. I asked him about some red spots I had around my eye and he said they were benign tumors and said there was nothing I could do. I later met with an esthetician. After following her instructions they were gone within 3 days. If you go here be sure to get a second opinion!

Dr. Urman spends as much time as needed with each patient: if you have questions and concerns, you get a thoughtful answer. If you need additional time for a problem, you get it. Thanksgiving is just two days away. In the spirit of this holiday, I'd like to give thanks for having found a wonderful dermatologist. On more than one occasion, I stopped by Dr. Urman's office to see if he could spontaneously see me without a prior appointment. The office staff that greeted me were very personable and said they would see if they could fit me into his schedule. The doctor was very accommodating and agreed to see me both times! He really knows his stuff and rectifies my problems very quickly. I highly recommend Dr. Urman to anyone that is looking for a knowledgeable, kind, and professional dermatologist to treat a wide range of skin disorders. Dr. Urman is a caring, thoroughly knowledgeable doctor who treats each patient with sensitivity. He diagnoses efficiently and accurately, and takes the time to listen to his patients. I have been to him several times, and have taken two of my children to see him. Dr. Urman made each of us feel totally comfortable, and spoke directly to my children, treating them respectfully. On follow-up visits, he knew my prior diagnosis and asked appropriate questions. Even when his schedule is fully booked, Dr. Urman has agreed to see us, sometimes at the last minute. At such appointments, however, we never felt rushed. Contrary to the critical comments on here about the staff, I have never had such a problem. My experience has been that the whole office is run professionally.

I never write reviews but I feel like others should know. The first time I went there I should have learnt my lesson. I went a second time to give him the benefit of the doubt but the experience was worse than the first. He spends 2 minutes with you and unfortunately he is not interested in your questions. He is abrupt and does not show any empathy. I brought my 2 yr old son who is suffering from eczema and it is still not controlled. Paid for nothing.

I have been seeing Dr. Urman for awhile now. I like him very much and never really experience a wait time. His receptionists could use a class in customer service though. The below has nothing to do with above review: I called to book an appointment recently and was told they aren't available for over a month. I looked into a different dermatologist who can fit me in for a quick acne consult within a week. I will try them out next Thursday and sadly, may have to switch over from here on out. If Dr. Urman can see loyal patients within reasonable time, I would come back.

I went to Dr Urman with rosacea and so many skin conditions. Rashes that randomly appeared on my body etc. He was so quick to prescribe 4 prescriptions and wasn't addressing the cause of these problems. I even told him I felt a little better in sunlight etc. And he said yeah it may temporary help it but didn't elaborate further. I left the office, never got the meds bc my insurance wouldn't cover the expense and instead did my own research on functional medicine and I knew I was severely vit D deficient and started taking really high doses (5000 iu to 10,000iu) and 2 months later now my skin is so much better. Most of the redness and bumps are gone (rosacea) and I'm staying away from wheat/dairy. I don't know how drs take the oath to take care of their patients but we're just money making machines for the pharma industry. I was never so disappointed in a dr. Do yourself a favor and get help from a functional med dr who can help you better.

After 3 trips back & forth to the ER with my son, I called Dr. Urman's office on March 30, 2017 to see if I could bring my son in as an emergency patient after explaining the situation. I was told to bring him in. Within 5 mins, my son's name was called to see the Dr. The minute Dr. Urman saw my son, he knew right away what was wrong & he treated my son. He told me no more ER. Today April 6, 2017 was his follow up visit. The minute we arrived there, his name was called to see the Dr. When Dr. Urman came into the room and saw my son he was pleased to see my son's results. We were pleased also. You don't have to sit there for hrs waiting to be seen. The staff is very pleasant, they care about your well being & Dr. Urman is an excellent Dr.

im basing the 2 stars based on the fact that i went here and was super rushed. it was my first appointment with the doctor, i explained what my issues were..he looked at my face said okay take this and this and that was it.. there was no explaining anything, also if you have no back ground on a pt you should be asking more questions..i just didn't get how looking at my face in 30 seconds gave any info...i don't know , needless to say the meds he gave me haven't worked.. I've been using them for over a month now. also i asked him about a doctor he would recommend for eye problems i was having , he told me there are a lot go look online... staff was super sweet, clean office.. but that doesn't effect my skin, therefore the 2 stars are appropriate.

Dr. Urmans' knowledge and accuracy in diagnosing and treating ailments is unsurpassed by any other doctor we have seen. He has treated both myself and my young son, and we couldn't be happier. Some people complain about his bedside manner, but there are no complaints here. Who doesn't love going into a doctors office and being seen and treated in minutes, instead of having it be an all day affair. Our younger son was diagnosed with a contagious disease and we went to him for a second opinion, yet the original doctor took several hours to come to an conclusion and was ultimately incorrect. Dr. Urman was able to correctly identify and treat the issue within minutes bringing comfort and resolve to our son.

They charged $213 surgery fee for the removal of a wart. Dr. is rude and doesn't spend anytime explain the procedure or outcome of it. He just zap in and zap out.The treatment wasn't enough to get rid of any wart. I have had done same procedure at other doctor's office for same warts and they were off in 2-3 weeks. I read so many good reviews of Dr. Urman and went to see him. Not totally disappointed. Here is the breakdown, Cordial office staff, Amazing office hours, early mornings and late evenings Easy to get an appointment, Dr. Urman knows his stuff but really really rushes you. He just answered what I asked him, did not bother to explain anything he was prescribing (meds & bloodwork) After seeing him twice and following his treatment, I was not cured. But I don’t think I can blame him. Go to Dr. Urman but don’t get your expectation too high.

My daughter used to be a patient of Dr. Urman who is great and very knowledgeable. However, lately it has been very difficult to get appointments within the week or within 2 weeks. The lady who answers the phone is very rude and does not want to give appointments for atleast a month. This is not practical for patients as most want to be seen as quick as possible otherwise you are losing patients. I understand you may be busy but one month waiting times for a simple dermatology consult is ridiculous. I tried to get an appointment this afternoon and the lady speaking to me was extremely rude. She must be new. The previous ladies who used to work there were atleast pleasant to deal with. I work at a pediatrician's practice where we often refer Dr. Urman. Patients also complain of the rude lady and difficult to get appointments. If this continues to occur we will have to stop referring patients to Dr. Urman. Please do something about this as Dr. Urman is really a great doctor.

Found Dr. Urman on google a few months ago. He has very convenient office hours! I don't know why people are describing him as not having bedside manner because we actually speak personal at times. After a few different approaches, he found the right combination of treatments to maintain my skin disorder. People need to understand that prescribing an antibiotic or cream is the first step to progress. Instead, be consistent in your treatment. The waiting time never exceeds 10 minutes.

This is my first review. I am 70 years old and recently moved to New Jersey from New york. I have had 13 basal cell carcinomas in the past and due to moving have not seen a dermatologist in 3 years. Last week I noticed a new growth on my shoulder and called Dr Urman's office. After I told the front desk that I had a bleeding growth, she told me to come during lunch the same day. Dr Urman saw me and hearing my history said that I needed a whole skin check, which he did right then. He found 2 other growths that I had not noticed. He biopsied all 3 and I got my results today and am all set up for the removal. I appreciate such kind and timely service.

One of the most efficient Doctor visits I've ever had! I spent less than 10 minutes in the waiting room as a new patient and less than 5 minutes in the patient room. I needed two moles removed and the doctor removed them on the spot. No additional appointment was needed for that procedure which is something you often see with some physicians.

The person at the front desk was very irritated and frustrated. Had my insurance card in softcopy which I shared over email with them but she felt that was too much work and told me that she needs to deals with 100 patients and doesn't have time for handling insurance card in emails. I felt I should have never visited here! I am changing the rating from 1 to 4 because my experience with Dr Urman in terms of his professionalism and expertise in his field was very positive. He quickly identified the problem and immediately started the required treatment with great assertiveness.

Dr. Urman is by far one of the best doctors I have ever had...and since I have a rare auto-immune disease...I have seen a TON of doctors. After several years trying to find a dermatologist that understands my illness---I finally found Dr. Urman, who was incredibly knowledgable about my disease. The medicine he put me on worked perfectly for my problem...but it was not agreeing with my stomach. I ended up having to leave a message for him on a saturday evening to ask him if there was anyway if I could change my medicine as soon as possible. I was astounded that he called me back (on a saturday evening!) less than five minutes later and told me that he would call a different prescription into the pharmacy. In my opinion, THAT (and fixing my problem---which he did) is what makes an exceptional doctor. I am so used to having to call other doctors 900 times before they "find the time" to return my call. I really appreciated his fast response to my phone call. I will definitely be seeing Dr. Urman on a regular basis. I highly recommend him to everyone.

I went here after being referred by my coworker and can say that it is one of the best experiences I had at medical offices. When I came I waited for the doctor less than 5 minutes. Dr. Felix helped me and explained all what I wanted to knew about my rash. spent a lot of time answering my questions and gave me pills and a cream. After 6 weeks the bumps disappeared and the pills were stopped. Still clear 6 months later. I'm very impressed by the highest standard of care.
