Dr. Boakye is very kind and an excellent dermatology professional. After my first microneedling session with a TCA peel, my acne scars reduced considerably, my skin texture and tone were more even. I was surprised how after 4 weeks of my first treatment, my skin regenerated so fast and how the changes were so visible. I didn't feel the need to load my face with makeup anymore, and even my foundation looked flawless without applying too much of it. She also prescribed me a skin care routine to treat my acne and I'm really happy with it. Just got done my second microneedling treatment today with a TCA peel, and can't wait to see the results in four weeks.

It’s been 2 years since I had my cyst removed by my bikini area and all I can say is this doctor destroyed my body! I have a huge deep scar and it’s only getting darker. She left a hole in my bikini line that makes me look like I have a disease!!! I went twice because she failed to fully remove it the first time and she injected me with cortisone which only made the scar terrible! Please if you need any type of cyst removal I highly recommend NOT to go here!

I attempted to see the Dr., unfortunately left my wallet home by mistake. I didnt want to be late or miss my appointment so I went into the office anyway. My 1st child had been seen by the dr in the past however I was bring my 2nd child in. The dr. Refused to see us because I didn’t have a way of paying my $10 copay. I have a clear record and a history with the dr. And yet still would not see us. I asked them to mail it to me or offered to call in my card information as soon as I got home. None of it was acceptable. I took off from work and lined up several dr.s appt on that day. Very disappointing lost three patients over $10. Forget the fact that my kid had an issue that needed a dr.s attention. So petty. If they are having billing issues with other unpaying customers maybe use a service. Which is what they told me on my way out.

I have no problem with the medical care from Bergen Dermatology but I have a very big problem with their billing practices. You are given 20 days, don't know what happened to the customary 30 days, but here it is 20. If they do not receive your payment during their short 20 day payment period, they simply charge your credit card and send you a letter telling you what they have done. I have never been to a practice that operates like this and neither should anyone else. Where is my check that crossed in the mail? Will I get the credit as quickly as I was charged?

I did three microneedling sessions with her with and received no improvement on my acne scars. She basically took my money. As a dermatologist she should have told me that microneedling doesn't work on my Acne scars as there are various types of acne scars and microneedling doesn't work on every type of acne scar. I was naive and she took advantage of it. I have pitted acne scars and I needed subscision to release the scar from underneath... I don't recommend Dr Boakye.

Dr. Bo is absolutely amazing! I suffered with acne & hyperpigmentation for years and she completely transformed my skin in less than 6months I don’t even wear makeup anymore!!!! She takes her time to find out what best fits YOUR skin needs rather than just prescribing you random medications & wasting your $$. I highly recommend her she’s extremely knowledgeable and considerate. She is pretty booked but worth the wait you will not regret It!

I've been seeing Dr. Boakye for a number of years, since she was at her old location and now at the new location. She is a wonderful, kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable dermatologist and the only person I now trust with my skincare. I suffer from hormonal acne and had told her from the beginning I do not want to go on Accutane. She has been so supportive of my decisions with my approach to my problem (changes in diet and lifestyle, supplements, topicals, medications, birth control) and patient with all the crazy I throw at her. She's a saint. Her staff is also incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. I enjoy every visit I have here because they are so polite and nice to chat with while waiting for the doctor. I recently participated in a microneedling study with Dr. Boakye which she recommended me for because of my upcoming wedding. She was so kind and generous to think of me and truly helped me discover a procedure that has absolutely improved the texture of my skin and scarring I've had because of acne. I just think that this office and staff are top notch and are truly different from all the rest. A++!
