REVIEWS OF Alexis Young, MD IN New Jersey

Ron Deanna

Dr.Young was so rushed with me. I started telling her about my problems but she cut me off and said “My assistant will explain things to you.” None of them cared to ask me what my skin type was and if my skin is sensitive to certain medications. The cream and wash they prescribed me was terrible! I got a allergic reaction to them. The front desk people are so unprofessional. They made fun and talked about patients that they’ve talked to over the phone. Truly uncaring! Don’t waste your time with this office.

Ryan Wagner

I would not recommend Dr. Young. Like other reviews, my experience was extremely rushed. I spent less than ten minutes with the doctor and was met with an indifferent, inconvenienced attitude. Overall, the doctor and staff were simply hasty, uncaring, and rude. Abrupt, brusque service may be acceptable from a server or taxi driver, but not an overly-generous paid medical professional.

Bessy Binikos

This doctor spent 20 seconds with me and was very uncaring. I asked if I still has to pay for my visit and she said yes. Please dont waste your time.

Toni Ann

I was very unhappy with Dr Young . She spent just a few minutes with me and did not even look at my problem areas . I cried in her office because of my issue and she couldn't wait to get me out . So not caring .

DANIEL OSORIO

Amazing doctor. She is so professional and has SAVED my skin. So caring and great.. so rare to find for dermatologists nowadays!

Vladimir Harut

She talked to us like 3 min. Didn't even manage to ask questions. If they are charging over hundred dollars, at least we expect some time to ask questions. I will never go back to her. That was waste of time and money.

Dr. Young is a godsend. I've been looking for her for all of my adult life. My face and neck were covered in skin tags, which were increasing in number and size. It took Dr. Young all of 15 to 20 minutes to clear my neck on my first visit. Prior to that visit, I was too self-conscious to wear even t-shirts because the skin tags on my neck protruded and were unsightly and were often aggravated by the necklines of t-shirts. I had flat, dark flecks all over my face and she removed the most visible of them on my 2nd visit. I'm still amazed that she was able to restore my face. I was hopeful but didn't think anything could be done to improve my face. My fear was that my face would soon be all but covered with skin tags and moles, but to my amazement, she restored my confidence in two pain-free, very affordable, 20-minute sessions. It was my choice to split the work into several sessions (caution) as opposed to having it all done in one swell swoop. I have a 3rd session scheduled and may require a 4th, which is a testament to how progressive my problem was. I've been getting a lot of compliments. People are commenting on my complexion and how radiant I look because they've noticed the difference. I found Dr. Young to be very affable, approachable, informative and honest about expectations. I had no questions about the procedure because she explained everything thoroughly before she started the work. The office is clean and sterile and, like Dr. Young, her assistant was friendly, polite and professional. I didn't wait long in reception, but the young lady at the front desk was polite and accommodating with my scheduling.

I never write reviews but I have to tell people not to waste their time. The office wasn't busy at all and she still spent only about 5 min for about 4 concerns I had. She only gave me something for cold sores which was the only helpful thing out of this visit. She didn't care to prescribe anything for my mild acne or explain reasons I'm getting them on certain areas, nothing for sun spots, nothing for dermatitis on my nose. She gave me the same cream I had, which I told her does not help and she said there is nothing other than that and she said to use the same cream on my mild acne. It does not make sense to use the same cream on two different conditions, if she cared a bit she would of given something to help instead of short answering my questions. I did a lot of research she was not my first option but the only one near by. Even though doctors are very knowledgeable it takes personality as well to communicate. Thank god her staff was sweet!

I really like Dr. Young; she's very personable and compassionate. Has a wonderful bedside manner!

Dara London

Dr. Young is wonderful. She is not only knowledgable but kind and caring. My whole family sees her and has been going for several years. I cannot recommend her enough.

Gianna Murphy

She was so rude, and I've never been there before I told her I have a few things going on that I wanted to tell her, her response was "whats ur biggest problem because we're not going to have time to get to all of them". Mind you I was the only one there because she had no other appointments going on. also the prescription she gave me she said that's the only one my insurance would cover and I went to the pharmacy and my insurance doesn't cover it and the other prescription she didn't even send to the pharmacy. It was like because I'm on State Insurance she had no time to deal with me or help me because I asked her for samples of a medicine and she said she couldn't give that to me because my insurance doesn't cover it which I've already gotten samples by the way from other dermatologist

I have to say if anyone is writing a review to say her staff is nasty that’s just an out right lie! It’s probably another office writing that bc I have never in my life experienced a more kind , helpful & caring staff. I actually enjoy calling to make an appt & I despise making phone calls!

Nicole Loucas

I called Dr. Young's office for an appointment after calling 3 other dermatologists who all would not see me for at least a week. I expressed my concern and that I really wanted to come in as soon as possible. Dr. Young gave me an appointment within the hour as soon I said I was worried. Despite how busy she was she took me in and did a quick and painless procedure! This doctor gets an A++. Staff was also very accommodating and friendly on the phone and in person. Great experience!

Eleonor Hufama

Save your time, dont go to her. She doesnt care and didnt even look my problem area. All you get from her is nonsense.

Dan Newsome

I don't think I've posted a review of anything. Ever! But seeing the couple nasty (and very difficult to believe) reviews got my dander up and I feel I need to respond. From my first visit with Dr. Young I knew I had found my dermatologist. I have never, NEVER, had a single negative moment with her or her staff. Both her and all her staff are excellent care givers, very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. And that's the truth! :)

NJ FairLawn

Dr. Alexis Young is a wonderful dermatologist. I suffer from terrible rashes on my fingers and she prescribed a great ointment that got rid of the rash within a few days. She also gave me a bag with samples and many pamphlets on how to take care of my rash at home. She was very nice and would highly recommend her.

Emily Lynn Seligson

I had a very excellent experience with Dr. Alexis Young. She is very personable and takes her time no matter how busy it is. I had a bad rash on my neck which was diagnosed correctly after i went to 2 doctors before. She took the time she needed and did a lot to help me. I personally had a biopsy done, She administered stiches to the back of my neck. She also took them out and was very gentle. She took the time she needed and had a great personality as well. I am very pleased with her as my dermatologist and would recomend her to anyone who has a dermatoligy problem. Again i was very pleased and highly recommended her.

Valentina Ospina

This doctor is so unprofessional. I have no idea why Dr. Melissa Seravallo would send her patients to this woman. She rushed out of the room before I was done expressing all of my concerns. She was just horrible and I should have known from the moment I walked into the office, because there was a big display of Botox cosmetics as soon as you walk through the door. However, there were no samples for people with skin diseases/conditions which is a shame. I’m just tired of all these dermatologist who only care about the cosmetic side of things. You are just wasting our time and money but act like we are because we have too many questions. If eczema is not serious to you then stop seeing patients who have it. I couldn’t get an excuse for work because eczema is not that serious but do you have any idea what it feels like to live with it. You obviouosly don’t know how painful and itchy it is and how everything makes it worse once it’s flared up. Dr. Alexis Young you are a disappointment for patients with skin conditions and your medical assistant is no different. You were no help. Just stick to doing cosmetic procedures but who knows if you're even good at that either.

Natalia Migliore

I had the worst experience with this doctor! Extremely unprofessional and her staff is nasty and unhelpful. She rushes you out of her office with vague explanations and whenever you reach out to her, she wants you to come back for another visit because she's too "busy" to give you a 5 min call to discuss your test results. She's the most careless doctor I've met in my life! Look for another professional who cares about you as a patient and takes his/her profession more seriously. Medicine is beautiful and should be for those who love what they do.
