Been coming here since my son was a newborn. He’s 2 now. The service was nowhere as bad as it is now. I find myself waiting on the phone to speak to someone for over 30 minutes!!!! Says I’m caller #1 longer than being caller #2. Don’t get it? Although I’m not surprised because now there’s new people and when Im in the waiting room, they’re always having a good time rather than answering the lines going off.

Terrible. Just awful. Do not care about their patients. Closed down clinic for HIV kids and moms. What a shame.

Picture this, your child has a cold. You call to set an appointment & wait 10 minutes with a machine telling you, you are the first call in the queue then you are forward to a voicemail. You hang up call in a later time & the same thing over & over again. It’s impossible to get ahold of someone. Front desk is so bad, I switched pediatricians because of that but I regret it because the pediatrician we were seeing was really good & helpful as first time parents. Hopefully they get new staff that is on top of everything. So frustrating!!

This place did surgery to close a three month old skull, they put some kind a tube under the scalp, released him the next day, said they had no medical records on him. I could keep going on but you get the picture. B

The staff were nice, just incompetent. Having recently moved to Las Vegas, my wife and I thought that a pediatric clinic associated with a University would be a good place to take our child for a checkup. We were wrong and here's why: 1.) We scheduled our appointment for 3:20. They later asked us to be there by 2:50. We showed up at 2:40 and waited until 4:00 to be seen. 2). The nurse who weighed and checked the height of our child didn't do it correctly. Aside from the fact that our child was weighed in a glorified closet, his clothes and shoes weren't removed to attain a proper weight / height. The nurse also used an adult height and weight scale though our child is too young for such a scale. 3). We were seen by a graduate student instead of a doctor, and were unsatisfied with his diagnosis and care. He lacked many tricks to calm children down that more experienced pediatricians have. He also lacked the foresight to ask us for help (we did jump in). Consequently, I have reason to believe that he didn't properly check our child's ears, etc. We came in for a wellness check to discuss our childs speech (which is a tad behind) and for a checkup which our previous pediatrician suggested. There is absolutely nothing wrong with our child's hearing, yet the doctor insisted we get a second appointment with an audiologist when we were much more interested in talking to a speech therapist. When he left the room, we left the appointment early due to our frustration. 4). They treated the appointment like an 18 month checkup (they state this) though my child is closer to 24 months. We already had an 18 month checkup with our previous pediatrician (who told us to we ought to come back in for a 22 month checkup - which is why we were there). What that means is that we paid for something that our child had already been seen for. 5). We were quoted one price over the phone, charged another price at the counter, and billed a third price later by mail. Thankfully, after calling billing and complaining about our terrible experience, the final tally was substantially reduced. As I mentioned above, the staff were very pleasant, including our nurse and the doctor we visited. However, I wouldn't recommend UNLV Pediatrics to my worst enemy given our service experience.

Ridiculous. Called 5 times to change appointment left 5 messages. Finally called me back AFTER the appointment I needed to change. Waited so long at the office that we finally just left. Since Dr. Snavely retired, the place is horrible. The office staff is dismissive and seem to act likethey're doing me a favor when interacting with them. I guess the new office replaced their good medical practice. Shiny doesn't matter when service is crap.

Viridiana Silva

You have to spend an hour with students and at the end almost another with the real doctor there's a long wait before you get to see a doctor here

Why be 15 minutes early when you’re consistently at least 45 minutes late?

everytime I come the nurse checking me her name is dolly on her name tag always makes me wait 45 min before I can check in. I'm always early to my appointments. the doctors aRe very good but why do I have to feel unhelped before I can get some help. makeso no sense. those front desk nurses only utilize there work in a computer and it is super hard for them. smh please fix the front desk because they're always bothered when I go in. makes no sense. it's there job to ve thete but maybe they don't like it who knows. smh.

My son has suffered from asthma his entire life, he is now 8 years of age. he has never been able to play sports, do normal daily things that kids do. Sunrise has been our second home for quite sometime now. Due to Dr. Parks dedication and hard work , my son has managed to go almost a year with no attacks. All I do is listen to him and take all he is doing for my child seriously . Parks is and amazing doctor, i love how he goes over everything the same way each visit. He educates you and treats you like family.

Dr di John and his ma are horrible at returning phone calls. My daughter is on an antibiotic that has to be giving every 12 hrs. Dr di John told us she would be on it for at least 6 weeks. Her perscription ran out at 4 . We have been trying to get a hold of them for 3 days. 5 including the weekend. 1st they said they would call us back. After dozens of calls and messages know one ever returned are call. We had to call another department and explain are situation to them and they had to go to dr di John's department and get us are answers.

Only reviewing their front desk, reception, scheduling department. Although I have had issues with other UNLV departments on the past, this department has been the best at answering calls and scheduling appointments. Their wait time isn't terrible. Usually I speak to Carlos and he is fantastic at getting things done and appointments set up.

One of the best clinics in town. Most thorough care. It might take a bit long but be assured they are thorough.

My little boy wasn't even 2 months old and they bounced him between 3 different doctors and each told me to do something completely opposite from each other. The waiting time is horrible and the staff doesn't know how to smile. All I wanted was one doctor who will know my child and his records. I don't want to be repeating myself every time I show up because they have to send me to different doctor. And on top of that they have students doctors that will see your child first that the student doctor will go talk to the md and than the md comes to the room and consults with you so I have to repeat myself anyways. I did not like that.

Very Convenient, and quick appointments. Children's room in waiting area could use a modern upgrade. Thats about it.
