I don't think you can beat Dr. Troy Watson in his field. I first met him almost 20 years ago, and thankfully it was a positive experience and I remembered him. I went back to see Dr Watson when I was in extreme foot pain a couple years ago, he discovered that I had rheumatoid arthritis. He managed to do that in less than five minutes! Literally! After I had gone through two years of testing with various other doctors, where no one could figure out what the problem was. I was so thankful for him getting me the help I needed. The next time I saw Dr. Watson was for metatarsal resection and bunionectomy on my right foot, (and something else too). He was very clear and precise and telling me what my options were. He told me what all was going to happen. It was an extensive surgery. My recovery was a fairly long process almost 4 months in total, and Dr. Watson and his staff were there every step of the way for all my questions. I wouldn't see anyone else for my feet. Dr. Watson is not only Board Certified, he is kind and cares about his patients.

I am a retired person, 82 years old. I suffered a broken left leg and ankle injury in 1976. Then in 2017, I began experiencing pain in my left ankle. Placing weight on my left foot resulted in pain. Consulting with Dr. Watson, the diagnosis as post operative traumatic arthritis - the cartilage in that ankle was no longer doing its job. Arthroscopic ankle fusion was the solution. The operation was performed in a hospital environment, and I remained in the hospital overnight in case any complications arose. The next day, the operation dressings were replaced, and a fiberglass cast supported the ankle area - from the foot to just below the knee. During seventeen weeks of a hard cast, then a full lower leg boot, Dr. Watson examined my ankle xrays and stated that he was satisfied with the fusion results. During my consultations with Dr. Watson, he was attentive and listened to my concerns. He displayed the xrays and explained why I was experiencing pain. He described the procedure that he was going to perform, and answered my questions with simple explanations. He is an excellent doctor and surgeon.

Excellent assistance from Front office staff, check in service was great. The Dr is obviously over scheduled because it was an hour after my appointment time when I was allowed to go into a treatment room. Dr Watson is very businesslike and to the point, so I imagine he prefers the overbooking in order to be efficient with his time. Like most Doctors, the patients time is of less importance. Given that restraint I was expecting a true professional and found Dr Watson to be exactly that. Straight and to the point! I could want no more from any Medical Service provider. As a cash customer due to Health Insurance constraints, I was completely satisfied with his consultation fee and his recommendation for treatment. He is definitely the Dr that I will trust with my severely damaged foot and will schedule an appointment for the first available time after Jan 1 2020 when a change in Medical Insurance will allow coverage.

ZERO stars for this doctor!! I have left reviews that keep disappearing. He did foot surgery on me and ruined my foot!! He put a plate and pins in plus bone fusion for a broken foot that he claimed was just arthritis. At the end of surgery he admitted to my spouse, that he did find a piece of bone floating around. Probably no plate and fusion needed. He cut my achilles completely and I had to go to another doctor to rebuild it. NEVER saw him again after the surgery, never checked on me or asked if I was healing. AWFUL doctor, awful man, arrogant and conceited. DON'T GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!!!!!!

My son saw dr. Watson for a bone spur he developed on the bottom of his left foot. Now he chose dr. watson because he is well known and has many positive reviews. However, a simple surgical procedure to remove a bone spur ended up permanatly damaging his foot. Now it hurts worse than before and he installed five screws and some hardware for unknown reasons which caused a bone fracture. Dr. watson never said anything about screws or metal hardware and my son never agreed to having anything like that done when he had the bone spur removed. Dr. watson never explained why and when my son followed up after the surgery (which is when he found out about the screws and hardware) he just saw his P.A.. He has since seen an orthopecic foot specialist who said he has significant bone loss in that foot and it is not clear to him as to why dr. watson felt he had to install all that hardware and screws. We are currently looking for some solution to repair his foot.

I have found Dr. Watson and his staff to be extremely professional and competent. I had a serious problem with my left foot, Dr Watson recommended a triple arthrodesis of my foot, the fusing of three of the bones in my heel. The results exceeded my expectations. By June i was walking three miles per day. I am very happy with my new foot. Dr. Watson did an excellent job. If I had another problem with my feet requiring surgery, I would definitely go to Dr. Watson.

Dr. Watson got me in immediately when he knew I had a broken ankle. I saw him on a Monday and I was in surgery on that Thursday. He explained the complexity of my injury and his reasoning behind his conclusions and resolutions. Very thorough and great bedside manner. His PA, Brian Grace is very qualified and knowledgeable in this field as well. He is very compassionate and I felt like I was in good hands. Dr. Watson's surgical assistant, Kareem Russell is very thorough and explained every procedure that I was going through. He was gentle when splinting/casting me and in the removal of my many staples after surgery. The x-ray techs are gentle and are very caring with your injury. The entire staff made me feel cared for and were very professional, compassionate and willing to help me resolve my issues with injury.

I had a terrible break on my ankle and fibula. Dr. Watson and his team showed an incredible amount of empathy as they prepared me for what needed to be done so I would be able to walk again. Since I was completely sedated for the surgery I don’t remember it but my wife told me that Dr. Watson came out to the waiting room and explained to her everything that was done during the procedure. The care in the follow up by Dr. Watson and his staff was amazing, always making sure that the healing process would go as planned. I am pain free and back to doing what I did before my accident. I am lucky to have found such a talented and caring doctor and staff.

stay away from this doctor and his facility Desert Orthopedic center . Doesn't care about patients health plan and prescribes medication outside the plan even though there are alternatives. When you call , there will very little response from the doctors staff. Forces to use medication delivered by Advanced Pharmacy and your medication will be delayed by atleast couple of weeks. Staff tells you that local pharmacy will charges you lot more than Advanced Pharmacy. I had a bitter experience dealing with this office ... i recommend looking for another doctor or clinic .

really bad experience with this Doctor and his staff. 6 weeks ago, I went saw Doctor Watson. expect a 45 minute wait time. Then a observership assistant to Dr watson shows up with a reckless attitude. Looked at my injured leg for 10 minutes and told me Doctor Watson is going to come see me... I dont understand why i have to deal some one else when i took time off from work and came to see doctor Watson. Another 20 minutes wasted. So after 30 minutes , Dr Watson shows up ... He looks at the X-rays and scared the hell out of me ... saying i need surgery and stuff. Finally makes me buy a Boot and stuff from the hospital which i later found out not required . Also intimidated me to use Advanced Pharmacy saying that Medication will be home delivered and it is much cheaper and faster. It took 3 Weeks for the medicines to arrive. I can go on and on ... about what happened after with my insurance company. he being with in my insurance provider network, prescribed medicine that my insurance company does not cover while other options are available. Definitely shady business and dishonest. Be careful with this facility and Doctor Watson.

Dr. Watson removed a bunion and corrected a hammer toe on my left foot in 2004. After a very successful operation I returned in 2018 to have Dr. Watson do the same procedure on the other foot. Dr. Watson is a highly experienced physician and I would have considered no one else to do this surgery. His bedside manner and explanations of what to expect was outstanding.
