I had my surgery on October 17th beforehand I had 2 other evaluations done. With the other 2 not once did I meet the doctor. When I had my evaluation done Siems Eye Center and they told me what was going to happen and that I was going to see the doctor and he was going to explain everything and do an exam I knew right there that I most likely was gonna have my surgery done at that facility. I just wanted to hear what doctor Siems had to say to put my mind at ease. After I met with Doctor Siems I felt very comfortable with everything. I met with the lasik counselor after and booked my surgery. It is now almost 2 months later and on my follow up visit 2 weeks after my surgery doctor Siems told me I had 20/15 vision....which is crazy because I was wearing contacts and glasses for like 25 years or so and had developed a real bad astigmatism. I was able to read the smallest line on the eye chart which I was never able to do before wearing my contacts or glasses. So Doctor Siems has given me my eyes back without wearing anything on or in them. For 7 minutes of being uncomfortable with a little bit of pressure on my eye it was definitely worth it to not have to wear anything on my eyes ever again....Thank you Doctor Siems.

I just had my surgery a couple weeks ago (Feb 21, 2014) and my vision is now is perfect --better than perfect to be exact! My last eye exam was last week and my right eye is at 20/15 and my left at 20/18! The surgery itself took a few minutes and I didn't feel anything at all. I'm very please with how everything went. I was very confident that I was in good, very experienced hand with Dr. Siems. He was recommended to me by my mom whom had her surgery done over 13 years ago. I knew Dr. Siems had been doing this for a while and with something as important as my sight, I didn't feel comfortable trusting them with just anyone. A friend and I were actually looking into LVI (LASIK Vision Institute) and found that their staff was, well, to put it in a nice way, was consistently inconsistent. We were blatantly lied to and gotten to the point where I didn't even want to get the procedure done. That's when I got the referral. My friend and I called and spoke with Amanda, the Director of Marketing, and not only was she very friendly, but also very accommodating. They kept the place opened past normal business hours to get me and my friend checked and prequalified for the procedure. Bruce, one of the tech, performed the pre-operation exam and was extremely friendly and remarkably knowledgeable. Dr. Siems and the entire staff makes you feel like you're the only customer despite how busy they get. They tend to every need making the experience memorable and every bit as pleasurable as the improved eyesight. Even though the service and payment has been exchanged, they continue to treat me as if I'm their only customer. I'm truly impressed with the entire experience. I highly recommend Dr. Siems and the staff. I don't foresee (bad pun and not intended :P) any need for any more corrective surgery, but if I ever do, they have earned a lifelong customer with me. Even routine eye check-ups, I would definitely go to no other! They should allow star ratings beyond the 5-star "perfect" level. The service I received, and the outcome of my procedure was beyond perfect and they deserve the same!!!

My husband had lasik surgery at Siems. Also he performed cataract surgery. Long story short as of result my husband his vision is terrible. Being concern we went to another doctor. After the examination the doctor said that nothing he could do. Further, he said don't let anybody touch your eyes again. They will only become worst. Obviously, he could've said he could do something and get money from us. What an honest doctor. He did suggest, never go to any doctor that advertises. Interesting, doctor siems does lots of advertising.

Had no problems. Vision was corrected. I recommended 2 more coworkers and they were happy as well...My complaint is with their honesty and focus on money, 2 important factors when choosing an eye surgeon. They claim to have a $100 referral fee. In both cases they do not hold up their end of the deal. Both people I referred followed up and I myself followed up. They tell you the same things every time, Either its another girl who handles it and she's backed up or they get sent out at the end of the month and it will send out then. This seems to be a scripted answer to get you off the phone. I am certain Dr. Siems does not pay these fees at all ever to anyone whatsoever. Period. In fairness his business is legit and I had no complications with my surgery nor did any of my coworkers.

I did not have Lasik done here so your aware before reading my review. I had a consultation done and then scheduled to have Lasik done in 3 weeks, James(scheduler) asked for my credit card info as if he was going to keep it on file until my surgery date, said nothing that he was going to charge me that moment. I got home and wanted to do some more research and read reviews about Siems Lasik as I felt rushed and all they wanted was to get your money. The Dr does not have good bed side manor as some don't so I didn't let that stop me from scheduling my appointment... Dr didn't go over the procedure or anything just said I was a great candidate and asked if I had any questions. Then when coming home and reading some unpleasant reviews I had to call James back regarding my deductible that they said was not meet, which it was because I called my insurance to confirm. So they were going to charge me an extra $500 if I wouldn't have double checked there work.. I let James know that I didn't want to be charged the extra $500 in total of $1200 for Lasik, he said it was already sent to billing, but they would refund me. I said why am I being charged already if I have not had surgery yet and my appointment is weeks out, he tried to play it as that's how it always is when you have surgery you pay upfront, which is total BS answer because that is not true. I told him to please cancel my appointment and I did not want to be charged! The next day I checked my card and I was still charged.. waiting for my refund to show up before I call fraud on my CC! I would never recommend these people to anyone!!!! Wish I could give 0 stars

I have decided to give this establishment 1 Star for a variety of reasons. When we first heard of Dr. Siems, we were recommended to him by one of the check in assistants at the airport who spoke of him with the highest praise, my mother's eyesight was not doing so well and we figured this was a chance to fix that. So I booked the appointment and we drove over to discuss possible solutions for her and they were very sure that they could help the problem... for 4000 dollars. So you know what? I love my mother and I would do anything to try and make her life a little easier, I paid the money and booked the surgery. We come in a few weeks later and the surgery happens, everything seemed to go as planned, I took her home and let her get some rest. The next day, she claimed that she could see better than she had in a long time, and we were both very happy. A single day goes by, and all of the sudden the clear vision changes to splotchiness and a sensation as if "oil was on top of her eye and she couldn't get it off." within a matter of days, her vision was worse than when we had gone in. So I book another appointment and bring her in so that hopefully we can figure out a solution to this problem. My mother is crying mind you while we are sitting in the office waiting for the doctor (Siems) and he makes his way into the office. My mother begins telling him EXACTLY how she feels and how her vision doesn't work as well as when we had come in. Instead of LISTENING TO WHAT SHE HAD TO SAY, he looked at me with this look like, "Is she serious?" smirking at me as if she was making it up and I was supposed to join him in a ceremony of laughter. Truly I was disturbed that THIS is the doctor I trusted with the eyesight of my mother. He starts saying things along the lines of, "Oh well there's no way what you're experiencing (A TROUBLE IN VISION) could have been caused by us (EYEBALL SURGEONS WHO DID SURGERY ON HER EYEBALLS) so you should stop exaggerating. To this day (more than a year later) her vision has degenerated even further, she can't read small print, she has moments where light is so overwhelming that she almost faints, along with numerous other problems. And instead of looking for solutions, the office (usually not even the Dr. as he doesn't see you every time in because he has better things to do apparently then help people who paid him to work their vision) always responds with, "Oh, it's just the monovision, you'll get used to it." How long does it take one to quote on quote, "get used to it." I am disturbed at how my mother was treated at this office and how my money was squandered and I would not wish anyone to send their loved ones here. I would give 0 stars however that's not an option so I'm giving one that way I can tell my story. F**K "Dr." Siems. -Sebastian Fowler

I paid for a plan in 2007 that included having lasik again in the future for a highly discounted rate if my eyes ever needed it. It was at a definite premium cost to other plans or providers. I planned to go back to Vegas for the surgery if/when my eyes needed it, as I no longer live there. I just called their office and, if I can't find that paperwork, they have no record of me in their files and that plan won't be honored. The reason given, "Nevada only requires that we keep records for 5 years." Be forewarned, as I was not at the time of purchase. Not good business.

As most of you already know, I got eye surgery about 3 weeks ago. I got my PRK done at Siems Eye Center with Dr Jon, and I can actually see now! My vision has improved so much in such a little time. This was definitely the smarted decision Ive made about my career and I have to recommend then to anyone who needs any type of eye surgery done. The most caring and friendly stuff, very high tech machines, and Dr Jon was very honest and knowledgeable about my case. Specially if you're in Vegas, thats the place I recommend. I had lasik surgery done here when I was 17, back in the 2000s. I distinctly remember them telling us it was "for life" and I could have the procedure done again if my eyesight worsened over time. Jump ahead a few years, I'm needing to wear glasses everyday to see and function. I call them to set up the "for life" procedure and they say there's no mention of it in my chart and I would have to pay full price. This is complete bulls**t. There is no way any parent would agree to let their 17 year old daughter get laser eye surgery if it wasn't for life. Do not go here. Do not believe anything they say. They'll make promises and guarantees that they have no intention of keeping. My glasses-free life only lasted me about 3 years. Waste of money, waste of time. I'm back to where I was before the procedure except now I have super dry eyes. Basically, a really expensive procedure to get dry eyes. Worthless.

Dr. Siems and his entire staff are WONDERFUL! I researched and visited 4 lasik places before visiting Siems and I was blown away from the start. I was extremely near sighted -9.5 in left and -10 in right - I was told many times I was not a candidate. I even had one doctor with old equipment say my only choice was early cataracts surgery and I was only 42 years old at the time! Dr. Siems equipment is top notch - I researched it. This review is 18 months after surgery, so I am reviewing the ENTIRE process! This office does great work, extremely fair pricing, pays attention, follows up, doesn't rush you out...I do not have a single negative thing to say and find it quite absurd to see negative comments on here. Ignore those comments and read mine - DR SIEMS IS THE ONLY CHOICE FOR LASIK HERE IN VEGAS!

I joined Google plus and saw Dr. Siems on here too. I thought I'd leave a quick review for him. Dr. Siems did my LASIK eye surgery about a year ago. I had astigmatism and needed to wear glasses to correct it. What a pain that was. Without them I was ok, but I squinted at everything to see it. The surgery took just a few minutes and was WAY easier than I ever imagined it would be. No pain and really no discomfort afterwards. I mean, I had to wear protective plastic over my eyes while I slept for a few days, but that was all the discomfort. The very next day I went back to work! My vision was great. After work, I went in for my post op and my vision was 20/15! Amazing! It's been a year and I have had zero problems at all. It's amazing to wake up and just start my day, without searching for where I put my glasses. It was a great decision to have the surgery and I highly recommend Dr. Siems.

Dr. Siems performed an Intacs procedure on my right eye. Unfortunately the procedure had to be done to solve the eye disease keratoconus that I had in both eyes. After performing the Intacs procedure my vision has improved greatly. The Intacs procedure was a life saver for me. New to the eye disease soon after my surgery I had to have a corneal transplant. Dr. Siems once again came through! As of today, April 30, 2010, my vision is great. I want to thank Dr. Siems and Rich and all of the staff for giving me my LIFE back.

Nightmare! My husband now blind in one eye that Siems removed cataract and placed lens (that moved within 24 hours requiring another surgery). Now the first eye (that surgery done 2 months prior) cataract seems to be coming back: blurred, milky vision. We've even gotten calls in the interim to pick up prescriptions when there had been no visit - no appointment - no reqest. Fairly certain he was charged for a visit that never took place. The surgeries were less than 3 years ago. NIGHTMARE! Avoid!

Great experience. Dr. Siems and his staff were extremely friendly. They made sure I was comfortable and understood fully what was happening. They are quick and efficient which was even better because I didn't show up and wait an hour to be seen, then wait another 30 min. to sit in a room alone, LOL. I was in and out, scans, surgery, and all, within an hour and a half. My vision is BETTER than 20/20 with the Customer Lasik. 100% worth it. A year and a half later, I have no issues. I even sent my wife to get her Lasik done there and her surgery was also a success. I'd definitely, highly recommend Dr. Siems.

I would award 0 or negative if this was an option. Made an appointment 3 weeks in advance. Sat in the waiting room for 90 minutes with all of the office staff walking by ignoring us. After 90 minutes they advised is that the procedure was cancelled. Wasted a day off for this. My advise is find another place. If the can't do something simple like scheduling why trust them for surgery.
