He ruined my quality of life. After the 2nd surgery because the screws were too short he nicked my spinal cord and was put back into the hospital when my back blew up like a basketball. I now can't turn my head and will now and never will be able to do the things I use to enjoy. On top of that my screws are coming out again and looks like they are coming through the skin. Look around for a Dr. Who cares about the patient instead of the paycheck.

Those who follow My Reviews were waiting for a "1 star" Review: We'll here is THE FIRST!!!!! Dr Douds was My Neurosurgeon on August 2nd, 2017. After many complaints of NECK PAIN (Which were "DISMISSED" , I come to find out that I needed an UPDATED REFERRAL from My Primary Care Physician on February, 2018- when I got a call back @ the end of July, I was informed THEN & was told that Dr Douds WOULD NOT SEE ME! (Even though nobody from the Professional Court office CALLED TO LET ME KNOW IN DECEMBER< or JANUARY! I finally got an appointment @ the Professional Court office: On October 4th @ 1:30 pm,I entered an UNFRIENDLY RECEPTION AREA!!!!!! When I spoke to one receptionist(Who,of course did not want to give Me Her NAME!!!!) about the Candlelight Vigil for the October 1st, 2017 MASSACRE, She replied "Oh- what was that for?"!!!!!! Then She basically IGNORED Me (Maybe it was that I was in My suit, or the fact that I am PART ITALIAN!!!)(If You "Connect the Dots", You'll figure out who the Receptionist was!!!!) The OTHER RECEPTIONIST (Who turned out to be Dr. Douds' RECEPTIONIST) was EXACTLY THE SAME WAY!!!!!! After I called My Neurologist's Office & asked to be SWITCHED to ANOTHER NEUROSURGEON, an Attendant, who was assisting a patient with a walker, HIT MY WALKER & MY SEVERELY NERVE DAMAGED RIGHT LEG! The attendant asked if the lady was all right( but, of course, NOT ME!!!!!) I then went to cancel My appointment, NEVER TO COME BACK AGAIN!!!! If you want to be greeted by a "DON RICKLES type" INSULTING PAIR of RECEPTIONISTS, This is THE PLACE for YOU!!!!!! EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! (Side Note: When My PCP discovered that I had a 7th vertebrae messed up, Dr Douds told Me that He,(My PCP), read the MRI WRONG!!!!!!!!) They do not RESPOND to ANY REVIEWS- The 5 star & 1 star reviews HAVE NO REVIEW TO THEM!!!!!(Maybe the 5 STARS ARE BY "RELATIVES"?!?!?!?!?!)

Dr. William Smith of Western Regional Brain and Spine gave me another chance at life! I am so thankful for the surgery I received from him because quite honestly I'd either be dead from all the medications to treat the pain or wishing I was because I didn't have any life either because of the pain or because of the medications used to treat the pain. It was a horrific time in my life and while now 10 years or so after the surgery pain is coming back it's tolerable, i'm still able to walk (previously I was hunched over and limped until finally I was just in a wheelchair), and enjoy basic life activities. I'm very saddened to find out that my insurance will not let me go back to see him as I believe that he's the best person to follow up on my surgery since nobody knows their work like he does. I'm confident though, that my surgery will just need some minor updating and I will be good to go for another decade or two. This man knows what he's doing! Very nice, professional, and God fearing! Thank you Dr. Smith

I have been in pain for 3 months, I schedule an appointment with the DR. Smith, The office calls that the doctor is sick, they schedule me for the following week. they schedule my surgery for the 13th of November, they call me the Dr. went out of town they cancelled for the 20th, my daughter was coming from Florida and had to spend her vacation at home, after lumbar surgery, i was never told i would be having tremendous pain on my knees, i was not able to sleep, up all night, i went to the ER, I had a lot of swelling cause of the surgery, they give me a steroid injection, i slept that day, the next day, I go back to Dr. smith office, 6 days after the surgery and i was seen by his assistant, he sends me to a orthopedic to check my knees, Dr said i had some swelling, that my knees are in perfect condition, he injects steroid on both knees. All this trouble is because DR. Smith, did not communicate with me telling me that after surgery i will be in pain for about 4-to 6 weeks, on December 5th I called Dr. smith office, and the nurse tells me I will be in pain for about 4-6 weeks, why they did not communicate with me when i visited there office, instead of running around like crazy. I am 80 years old, I am nervous taking sleeping pills, nothing stops my pain.
