Dr Will had been absolutely wonderful with my 9 year old. Dr Will makes my son feel comfortable, and I Love how he talks to him to where my son understands what is going on. The front desk staff is also very nice andy son is always surprised that they know his name as soon as he walks through the door, even when we haven't been there for months. We drive almost 2 hours to get there, and its always worth the drive.

Instead of dreading doctor visits and therapy appointments, my daughter looked forward to her weekly sessions. She is doing great and the treatment investment (both time and money) were resources well spent.

Dr. Will and the staff at Heartland are the most wonderful, caring and knowledgeable people I have ever met. This office and this doctor saved our child's eyesight! We were told that she was legally blind in one eye and to be careful with her good eye. Dr. Will found a way rehabilitate the eye and have it work again with her brain. These people are miracle workers! If your eye doctor ever tells you things are hopeless - call Heartland. They think outside the box and do what it takes to help! She can now read with the "legally blind" eye!

Dr. Vicky and the staff at Heartland Eye Consultants are so wonderful! They did a great job identifying and working with my son to correct his vision problem (that two other doctors had missed!) They are wonderful, professional, and genuinely care about their patients. The therapy was rigorous, but they gave great support and encouragement to help our son get through it. Now his vision is better, but he is also more confident in himself, and better equipped to tackle things that don't come easy. I am forever grateful!

Wonderful results! Two of my children did vision therapy at Heartland Eye Consultants for differing reasons. My oldest would get frequent headaches and sometimes complained that the words were "moving around on the page" when he was reading. Within the space of nine months, he went from sometimes reading a Magic Tree House book to reading The Lord of the Rings trilogy. He is still an avid reader. My other son would sometimes see double and struggled with body control/awareness that was related to vision issues. I was nervous every time he carried a plate of food across the kitchen. He is greatly improved, can do a sharp-looking jumping jack (nearly impossible for him before), and is developing his own joy of reading. It takes time and effort, for sure. There are plenty of days you don't want to do the practice at home, but it was definitely worth it. The doctors and staff were wonderful, professional, and caring. Overall, an excellent experience and excellent results.

I am very disappointed with Heartland Eye Consultants. The medical staff will convince you that their "vision therapy" is capable of helping not only your child's vision, but also their ADHD, classroom focus, reading ability, etc. They will give your child a battery of tests, all that end up NOT BEING COVERED by major insurance companies like BC/BS. Once the tests are complete and the results are in, you will find that your child is in grave need of their "Vision Therapy". You will buy into this hook-line-and sinker, willing to spend your entire HSA money to help your poor child. The scheduler will then call you and let you know that they can schedule your child in 6-8 months!!!! As a medical provider myself (that works with both children and adults), I can tell you A LOT changes with a child in just a few months! Not to mention 6-8 months. I wish I would have saved my money. I wish I wouldn't have bought into this "snake oil" type therapy. Please save your money and instead read everyday with your child and invest in a good pair of glasses if he or she needs them. If you are convinced your child might benefit from Vision Therapy, please ask them when your child can begin therapy, before spending money on the very expensive testing. Honestly! What is the point if your child cannot begin therapy for 6-8 months? I wish someone would have given me this advice before my first appointment.

Dr. Ternus O. D. Is extremely thorough and a great doctor. She’s very pleasant and compassionate with her patients. She explains everything so you can understand her. I would highly recommend her if you have any disease of the eye like glaucoma like I have. She runs the right tests ant the right time and makes you feel at ease. Highly recommend!
