So, I had the great fortune to have Dr. Stanley Schack do a nasal reconstruction of a severely deviated septum some 30 years ago. He was not long out of his residency if memory serves me and performed my 3 hour surgery with precision and without any post op complications. I healed quickly and the procedure opened me up to a new ability to breath better. Fast forward to two weeks ago when again Dr. Schack performed a relatively new nasal procedure to open up some sinus areas that have kept me from deep breathing for the past several years. Though I’m not really allergy prone, this time of year seems to have made them worse and also sinus infections have been severe. This procedure involves opening major sinuses with a balloon inserted that actually expands the area and it stays that way. Also involved is rapidly heating and cooling the turbinates of the frontal nasal cavities that makes taking a deep breath now possible. This was an outpatient procedure that took about 1 hour 45 minutes without out anything more than local deadening of the affected area. There was no pain and only occasional slight discomfort. Everything went very well. The attending nurse(s) were very knowledgeable as well, explaining in detail what was going to happen and then very gentle and accommodating to any discomfort. Dr. Schack was equally gentle and explained what he was doing. After taking some antibiotics for the first week post procedure and using a nasal wash, things were healing quickly and my ability to breathe freely was quite noticeable. Today was my week two follow up and it all is well and it just keeps getting better. I have never been able to take very deep breaths and now just normal breathing is greatly enhanced. All in all, if you are reading this and considering any type of ear, nose or throat procedures, don’t hesitate to get in touch with ENT Consultants.

I've always suffered from ear, nose & throat issues, and I finally had the insurance to cover appointments to start making changes for the better. I went to ENT Consultants for my initial appointment to start the process, and saw Dr. Jessica Hanson-Moran. During the appointment, she told me my nose was so blocked that she would need a scope to look up my nostrils. I figured it made sense, since that was the whole reason I was there in the first place. So, she stuck a lighted scope about an inch up both of my nostrils for a couple seconds each, prescribed me some nasal spray for my allergies, and told me to make a follow up appointment in a month to see how the spray was helping. A week or two later, I received my bill from the appointment - It was over $500 AFTER my insurance. Turns out, that little scope is treated as an "operational procedure" which the Dr. had FAILED to mention to me during the appointment. Obviously, if I had been told this important bit of information BEFORE, I would've declined the service. I paid the bill over time, but it took me awhile to financially recover. During this time I was still receiving prescriptions for the nasal spay -and it was my saving grace until I could be seen again - then my prescription ran out. They refuse to fill it until I come in to be seen again. This practice is exactly what's crooked in health care, and looking out for patients' best interest - ALL THEY WANT IS THEIR MONEY. BEWARE.

Dr. Jessica Moran-Hansen did the in office Vivaer procedure on me in December for my chronic nasal congestion. I am so happy and pleased with the procedure and the results. Since the procedure my nasal congestion has significantly decreased and continues to improve each day. I never realIzed how bad my nasal congestion was until I could actually breathe normal!!! I would highly recommend her as a provider, the procedure, and ENT Consultants as a whole!

I have seen all of the providers at this practice to help manage my sinus and allergy issues over the past few years. They have been so knowledgeable and helpful every time I have been in to see them. Never have I felt rushed out of the office and I have always felt valued as a patient. I have had two in office procedures done by Dr. Jessica Moran-Hansen the Vivaer to reduce my turbinates and a balloon maxillary sinus surgery for my chronic maxillary sinusitis. She was so caring and informative before hand, during, and after. I feel so much better since treatment and would diffidently recommend this practice for anyone looking for doctors who go above and beyond to take care of their patients.
