I have had many surgeries over my lifetime with the vast majority involving bone and joint repair. Offhand I can remember 9 surgeons, 14 surgeries in 3 different states. I can honestly say that Dr. Uggen is by far the best of the best. When treatments for my knees were exhausted and surgery was the next option, Dr. Uggen took all the time I needed to ask all of the questions that I had concerning total knee replacement in both legs. Thinking back to my surgery just 4 months ago, I am still shocked at how many times I 'forget' that my knees were ever replaced. Life is wonderful now, the debilitating pain is gone and my legs are stronger every day. My advice to anyone with knee pain is don't wait and don't shop around. This is the guy that you want to help you find out what your problem is and to discuss what options best fit your needs. He's the best of the best - period!

I cannot say enough about the expertise and just plain good feeling Dr. Uggen offers. He replaced my hip in Oct. and always explained things in an easy to understand manner. Very Personable and did a perfect job on my hip. Highly recommend his service, I was mowing my own yard 2 weeks after surgery.

I normally do not write reviews, but I felt compelled to write about my anterior hip replacement by Dr. Uggen, since it was so successful. My surgery was June 3rd & I went home the next day. In about 2 1/2 weeks after surgery, I was walking without my walker or cane. I am a 73 year old female & amazed how quickly my recovery has been with minimal pain. Just had my 4 month hip replacement check-up and I told Dr. Uggen that he made me feel 10 years younger! I am doing more now than I have been able to in many years and had no idea this hip replacement would have this affect.
