I am not sure if these other reviews are real? I just took my 4 year old here and had the worst experience of our lives! I have never had to deal with cavities myself or with any of my kids until now, we were told to go to a pediatric dental place so that we could get all of his cavities filled at one time and that a pediatric dentist would be less traumatizing. Pediatric Dental told me he would be sleepy after drinking the sedative and if it didn't work they would put him under. It was the exact opposite. First I told them they would have to explain everything to me and what I should expect. I also wanted white fillings and did not know when they told me one would be silver that his whole tooth would be silver. I thought it was going to be a silver filling. I would have explained to my child he was going to have a silver tooth prior to this if I would have known. I did not know my 4 year old would act like he was drunk after taking the drink they told me it would make him really sleepy to get him through the procedure. They didn't come to get him for almost 1hr after drinking this, so we sat in the waiting room wrestling with a 50 lb kid that didn't understand why he felt this way. He was not sleepy! Then we go into a room for his fillings, they ended up holding him down while he screamed the entire time! I had to leave the room as I was crying and had to get myself together. I came back and tried to calm him down through the rest of it. He had bruises on his arms when we were done from holding him down. This wasn't anything close to a calm, nice visit!! I felt like I paid them to torture my child. Then they wanted us to come back in a couple months so they could finish at the hospital to put him under. Also want you to pay $2000.00 up front and will reimburse you later. We traveled 4 hours for this appointment and might as well had it done in our home town. When we got back home I went back to our dentist and told them what had happened. They are no longer recommending Pediatric Dental to there clients. They could not believe what had happened! I felt like Pediatric Dental was just out for the most money they could get out of my childs mouth. Our local dentist told us that he didn't need a silver cap on his tooth, and that there was no way they could have predicted he needed one. His xrays showed he just needed a few small fillings. A cap is $250. This was quit a shock that he had a silver tooth and the huge cost with it. They also said if there was any pain he would not remember it. He remembers if very well!! So I'm not sure if he was underdosed or not but he was in pain and remembers this horrible traumatizing experience!!! I feel horrible for bringing him here and will never go back. We are not the only ones I have talked to after this happened that had similar experiences. Disappointed is an understatement!!! Very Upset!!

I have taken my grandson to Pediatric Dental Specialists twice in the past four months. All of the paper work and check in process is very easy if you do have a question they have the answer. In terms of the care, my grandson wasn't even scared because Dr. Wilgus is beyond wonderful.

My 4 kids have been going here since they were toddlers (my oldest is now 12). We have always had wonderful and accommodating staff during each of our visits. Dr Wilgus has been amazing with each one of my children, always making sure they are comfortable during any procedures, praising them on good checkups, and helping them whenever they might need to do a little bit better of a job at other times. Dr Clarke has been great the few times we've seen him. We have been to a couple different dentists and honestly the Doctors here at Pediatric Dental Specialists are really the best fit for my kids... Dr. Bennion is absolutely amazing with my son who has had to have the most work done and just overall makes us super comfortable.

There is no "hard sell" to try to get you to buy extra services. They make recommendations, answer questions and leave the decision to you. Not Happy with this practice at all! I brought my oldest child in for a 5 year old check up and everything was great (2012). His 6 year old checkup showed 8 cavities. We had those fixed, no dental insurance. To prevent that happening with my two younger children, they had check-ups in January 2014. Two months later I'm still in shock at how bad the visit was. First, the new patient "paperwork" on the tablets was horribly slow and tedious. We waited for almost an hour to start cleanings with the techs. They took my 4 yr old back with out me and she did okay for x-rays. Then the tech cleaned the 7 & 4 year olds teeth but not the 2 year old. We waited some more and finally saw the dentist. He examined the teeth and x-rays and dictated notes to the tech. A total of 29 teeth need work done between my three children. 11 on the youngest who is only 2 1/2. I was in absolute shock! The only time he looked at me was to ask how the 2 year old would handle work on her teeth and if she would need versed and laughing gas. I was shuttled to the appointment desk and that was that. I am not comfortable taking my children to see people that don't communicate or have the time to address the parental concerns. Needless to say, I'm looking for another dentist.

For the past 10 years PDS has been my children's dentist office. I would drive them to Billings for their appointments, but now we are thrilled they come to cody. The dentists are amazing and the staff is wonderful! They always make us feel welcome and important. They have a magic in making my kids feel calm and secure in the dentist chair.
