AWC is awesome. Dr. Kasavana, who was my physician, is great! From the front desk, to the nurses, to ultrasound - they were all comforting and easy to talk to. My only regret is that we are moving toward the end of my pregnancy, and I won’t be delivering with them. If I could, I’d drive the 4.5 hours back just to do so!

Most unprofessional medical facility I have ever been to. I scheduled my appointment (which is very hard for me to do seeing as how I have three jobs), then got a call saying that they needed to reschedule me because my doctor had to go into surgery. That's fine, I get that. I was supposed to have my exam, go pick up a medication, then come back so they could administer it to me. They rescheduled me the following week kind of later in the day so I wasn't sure if I would have time to have my full appointment so the lady I talked to said someone would stay late so I could get my medication. I showed up to my rescheduled appointment, had my exam, and it was 10 minutes until they were supposed to close. The nurse told me she would call in my prescription and go ahead and pick it up. My prescription never came in so I just headed back to the center and everyone was gone, even though I was told that 1. someone would stay late to administer my medication and 2. I should get pick up my medication and come back even though they were about to close. They could have called me and told me that they were going to close up so I didn't waste so much time waiting around for my prescription to come in. I called the next day and the "office manager" seemed like she didn't care and offered no compensation of any sort. She said she was already moving their schedule around to fit my schedule yet (acting like that was some sort of appropriate compensation for wasting my time and gas) when I told her my availability she told me they couldn't do that. So literally no compensation whatsoever. Very unprofessional and I now see why this facility has received such poor reviews.

The Staff is wonderful and always go out of their way to make sure you have a great visit. They are also VERY helpful over the phone as well. No matter what you throw at them, they never miss a beat! Also, Dr. Bowden is an amazing Dr. Highly recommend her to anyone!

I have had the very best experience at Alpine Women’s. I would NEVER go anywhere else. From fertility treatments, to pregnancy, emergency Section, to fallow up appointments. Dr. Kassavana is an amazing OB. I would/have recommended him to many friends. Dr. Bowden did an amazing job with my emergency section. And lastly thank you Dr. Kassavana for catching my severe preclampsia early, and thank you Dr. Bowden for being such an amazing Surgen and delivering my perfect baby boy!

After moving out of the valley and connecting with Billings Clinic in Billings and Bozeman to help with ongoing fertility issues, specifically endometriosis, the care was night and day compared to Alpines Women's Center. My new doctor took her time, listen to me, and actually reviewed my records! I didn't feel rushed or not taken seriously. She gave me helpful information, not just the "getting pregnant will help with your pain and symptoms" spiel. I felt heard, supported, but most importantly, hopeful. Imagine that! After a long discussion, along with some tests, I was put a progressive plan to help me (crossing fingers and toes!!) get pregnant. I honestly feel like I wasted very important years by seeing Dr. Merril (no other doctor at AWC is a refection in this post). I have never written an online review, especially a negative one, but women out there who suffer fertility issues, coupled with the pain of endometriosis - well, I know your frustrations and heartache, but there is hope!

I am unable to have the doctor I want to deliver my child because of an old collection bill that has been paid for years, plus interest. I was 18 and didn't have much money but was having some medical issues. They said I am unable to be seen from now and forever. They must care more about money. This so called policy is bullshit. I have great insurance, money's not an issue, and I am obviously more grown up to afford healthcare and this is how I'm treated.

I absolutely love everyone here! Dr. Lewiston always goes above & beyond for her patients & I love Nurse Nicole! They're always inviting & have your best interest at heart! Both of their ultrasound techs are great! Jessie has gone the extra mile to take care of us and our little one! Thank you all!

Dr. Lewison is a hack, I mean complete hack of a doctor. Failed to diagnose my wife with cancer after nearly 2 years of obvious symptoms. She even went as far to prescribe her with birth control, which the estrogen caused her cancer to metastasize. She was too lazy to perform the 2 min biopsy all along until finally decided to, after we requested. She then took a very defensive stance, taking no responsibility for her negligence. Absolutely the worst "doctor" I have ever encountered. Review below is very similar, this is not a coincidence. Don't go to her or allow your family to be treated, or mis-treated by this hack.

First impressions truly are everything. When I first found out I was pregnant I called around the valley looking for an OB/GYN clinic I felt I would be truly comfortable at. The receptionist I talked to was so kind, understanding, and did not make me feel like I was wasting her time, unlike a few of the other clinics I had called before hand unfortunately, as she entered me into the system and helped me figure out what needed to be done. I chose Dr. Merrill as my primary and she has been nothing short of amazing. No matter what I always get nervous going to see the doctors but the way she talks with you and how she carries herself really puts one at ease. I have also been seen by a couple of the other doctors with the clinic due to unplanned hospital visits and they too were very helpful and reassuring. Another one of my favorite things about this clinic is you only have one doctor who sees you for every scheduled appointment instead of a rotation of doctors. I, personally, found that incredibly comforting. The lobby is also always very clean and welcoming. I am so thrilled to have found this clinic and cannot say enough positive things about it! Everyone here is an absolute joy and I actually look forward to my doctor appointments since going here.

There is no perfect way to explain how incredible Dr. Kasavana is. He wasn't my wife's OB prior to her being in labor and we had never seen him before. He had come to see my wife as a result of being the on-call OB at NV Hospital. My daughter's heart rate had dropped and he wasted no time rushing my wife into OR for an emergency C section. Given the seriousness and traumatic situation, I can't recall how fast or slow everything happened. Anyway, I was told after the surgery that from the time he decided on bringing my wife to the OR (in our delivery room) until the time he pulled my daughter out to safety, it was ~7 minutes. The entire hospital staff (including those nurses and Dr. Miller) and Dr. Kasavana saved my daughter from possible brain damage, health issues, and maybe even saved her life. We are so fortunate for Dr. Kasavana and so is everyone under his care.

This is a review of the service provided by Kathleen Lewison and does not reflect on the other doctors at this facility. My wife and I had a terrible experience at the Alpine Women's Center with Dr. Kathleen Lewison. She was diagnosed with gestational diabetes but had her insulin levels in check, exceeding normal levels only twice during her pregnancy. My wife has never been overweight and the ultrasound indicated the baby was deliverable (predicted to weigh 7 pounds). Dr. Lewison gave her the same treatment and advice someone with unmanageable insulin levels would have received. I attended the visit with my wife when we met with Lewison. She didn't take the time to interpret the situation for herself, obviously going with whatever the standard was for a typical gestational diabetic. I watched my wife swell up in tears after being told she couldn't have a natural birth, couldn't be in a birthing tub and would be induced and very likely have a cesarean only a day after she was due. I questioned Dr. Lewison's advice and asked for the data she was basing her opinion on only to be told by our midwife that Dr. Lewison said she "Didn't have time to provide research documentation" after being told directly from Dr. Lewison that she had no problem doing so. We researched the situation ourselves learning the process Dr. Lewison demanded we follow didn’t apply to my wife. Five days after my wife was due, her water broke. She had a natural birth with the exception of platosin after a long labor. My wife was able to enjoy the birth we had planned all along by doing her research, ignoring Dr. Lewison’s bad advice and keeping her insulin levels in check. I strongly encourage you to avoid Dr. Lewison. There are many doctors in the valley willing to take better care of their patients. I believe after attempting to provide us the research she based her opinion on, she found that she was wrong. Rather than apologizing and setting us on the right track she was too proud to admit fault. She fails to put in the time and effort to properly advise her patients and, although being personable isn't a trait required to be a good doctor, she lacked that aspect too showing no sympathy during the interaction we had.
