I haven't seen Dr. Amato in several years. I usually see a nurse practitioner who is always friendly, helpful and will listen to your concerns. My problem is the billing staff. I have a VERY good insurance company but this office pushes patients to have their prescriptions to go thru the "Long Prairie" company. I trusted them and went thru Long Prairie for my first script then contacted my insurance only to find out that Long Prairie charged me 3 TIMES what I would have paid!!! Since then, I insist that Dr. Amato' s office go thru my persona insurance. For my latest prescription, I spoke with the billing girl and told her that my insurance needed them to fill out a medical authorization form and tried to give her the phone number. She had stated that my insurance "denied" coverage (an untrue statement,) and that she "didn't have time" to sit on the phone to process a medical authorization! They called back today to state AGAIN that it's not covered by my insurance and asked if I would be willing to take a different medication. I asked them to verify the fax # they sent it to and the receptionist was quick to say she would have someone call back today & hang up. I have YET to hear back so I will be paying them a personal office visit tomorrow morning. The doctor is great, the nurse practitioner is wonderful, I would just be wary if they try to push their "recommended" insurance company on you if you have your own. For me, it was ALOT cheaper to NOT take their recommendation!

Seven years ago Dr Amato removed a small mole from my leg. He told me to use hydrogen peroxide on it twice a day. After more than a month of using hydrogen peroxide my small wound grew and once I was told by a friend to stop using hydrogen peroxide the damage was done. Now I have an UGLY QUARTER SIZED nearly BLACK SCAR on my leg thanks to his incompetence.

Didn't see the doctor....saw his female practitioner briefly....don't think she was a doctor, but didn't provide me any new info regarding daughter's condition...was friendly but felt like it was a waste. Just said my 3 year old had cradle cap which is so far from the truth...will not go back or refer anyone. Sent me bill in the mail that does not reflect the type of service I received.

Jamie and the staff have been wonderful. I am so impressed with their kindness, prompt responses and professionalism. This being my 3rd derm over the last 2 years I can honestly say, they are the best I have found. Jamie listened like no one ever had and she knew her stuff. in this short amount of time my rosacea and acne has improved 100x over. I finally feel good about my skin and it can only get better with time and the regimen that Jamie recommended. HUGE THANKS to them.

The Dr & his staff were super with my nervous 7 year old! Would totally recommend taking kids to him. Very nice office too!

I wish I could give them zero star. I was a new patient. When I mad an appointment, the girl asked me two times what type of insurance I have. She made an appointment for 7:45 in the morning. When I got there, she said that they can not accept my insurance and I have to pay $120 for the visit. I do not recommend this office. They do not care about their patients.

Dr Jason Amato is one of the most compassionate doctors I have ever come across, For treating Acne. My daughters have been seeing him since they were very young. Over ten years, we have had him as Our dermatologist. His bedside manner with teens Dealing with acne is so incredible. My girls always have walked out of there with so much confidence and knowing that Dr Amato will take care of this break out or this wart,and many more situations that have occurred in the past 10 years.

Dr. Amato is awesome. He's treated me and my kids for years and has a keen eye for skin problems. My kids had horrible acne, especially my son. I was so concerned that his acne would leave terrible scars, but under Dr. Amato's care, his skin looks great. He removed a lesion from my face and you can barely notice it was there, and I'm prone to keloids. I feel so lucky to have such a skilled dermatologist so close. He would do well in Hollywood.
