Absolutely give it a zero .. One of the females reschedule me , and I asked specifically for Friday and booked me for Thursday wasn’t till I got there that they told it was Thursday made me and my husband missed 4 hrs of work and couldn’t even squeezed both in ... all they could say is sorry smh I would not recommend this place , workers absolutely rude ... if zero was an option I’ll give it to them .

For decades I never had a traditional "family doctor". Did my homework and gave 'em a visit. BEST DECISION I've ever made for my health. I can't say enough positive things about the front staff, doctors and all of the medical staff who are truely concerned for their patients health !

Garbage place. The doctors literally type symptoms into a tablet and prescribe the most commonly used medication that pops up in the system. Well, ANYBODY can do that! They also recommend that you take over the counter meds. ..... Well.... What do you think I did before coming here? Effin Morons! On top of that, they DO NOT listen. My wife told Shone Cook she was taking 200mg of one particular medication and it wasn’t helping. When we went and got the prescriptions, this dude gave us the same medicine at 100mg. Shone (“Shawn”) Cook also asked my wife are you having shortness of breath? She said “yes”. He goes, well since you’re NOT having shortness of breath... blah, blah, blah. He, Shone, also prescribed Promethazine for a cough but that doesn’t work for a cough. It’s to stop you from throwing up!!! Talk about a stupid doctor. And if you ever happen to call with a quick question for one of the (10?) doctors or request a prescription be refilled, don’t expect a call back for an absolute MINIMUM 7 hours! You ain’t getting that prescription refilled today. Even though they have five people sitting around right up front doing jack. And another thing, they want money for every visit, even for a follow up appointment a few days later when you’re still sick. Oh, and check this out: They ran a flu test on my wife when she told them specifically it wasn’t the flu just to bill the insurance. They also ran other tests and concluded... “well, something is wrong but we’re not sure what”. Guess what it was? It was an upper respiratory infection. I mean, how basic does that sound? As a doctor, you couldn’t figure that out? Pathetic. Translation: “Come back so we can charge you more money for nothing!” No thank you. P.S. If you want an awesome doctor, look for a guy named Bagwell. He chose to leave this office and I see why.

I had been seeing Dr. Deanna Nabors for years as my primary care physician in Tupelo before she moved and started working at The Family Medical Center in Southaven. I liked her so much I have been driving from Tupelo to Southaven, for over a year, just to keep her as my physician. After today I will be looking for a new primary care physician. I have never once, not ever, been late for an appointment not in Tupelo or Southaven. My appointment today was scheduled for 8:20 am. It was just a check up. I called when I realized, for the first time, I would be late but was currently in route (I do not control traffic accidents). I was told there was a 20 minute grace period and told the receptionist I should be there at just the right time. My husband dropped me at the front door and I was signed in at 8:42. Approximately 10 minutes later I was called up to the front desk and was informed I would need to reschedule due to it now being 8:50 and my appointment was at 8:20. I explained, I live in Tupelo, I had called, and was 2...2 MINUTES LATE. She could have cared less. Her immediate response was "we can fit you in next week". I hope this post reaches Dr. Nabors so she knows it's not her, at all it was the complete disregard for me, the patient, who was not a walk-in but a patient for YEARS! ***By the way ladies at the front desk, my husband, 9 year old and myself could hear every word you said about me while we waited the 8 or some minutes before you called me up to tell me I wouldn't be seen. Just glad other people can just walk in and be seen and that I didn't actually need to see MY PRIMARY PHYSICIAN.

I came in and was greeted with a smile. Had choices of who I wanted to see and made appt for the next day. Came in on that day and had a warm welcome. Appt was at 10:40 but I arrived early because this was my first visit and didn't know what to expect. Within 10 mins, I was called to the back. Dr. Carpenter and Mary was the best. I was told I will get a call when lab results came in and within 2 hrs Mary was calling me with the results. I forget all of my do's and Don't and called back the next day. The receptionist told me someone will call me back and within 30 mins, it was Mary. I just recently moved to the area and was looking for a family doctor and guess what, I found it. Keep up the good work and thanks to everyone I interacted with.

I went to this doctors office for blood pressure issues , anxiety and sleep issues. The doctor I had was a white woman with medium blond hair. Her name is Dr. samantha shorter, I told her my medication I was taking was making me hard for me to focus and i couldn't work or sleep. She left me on it. Now why would you do that?! I told her that I couldn't sleep , she literally ignored that fact and told me I would have to deal and that we are not working on that right now. On thing at a time. I have gotten feedback from other medical professionals, and that is not what u do. So i don't know if it was because i was black, or what but her service was horrible. I will never go here again

Horrible. New office personnel overcome with power trip. I was told to come in at 2:00 to receive a measles shot. When I arrived I was showed into a room the size of a closet filled with people i had never seen before. Including: some old man in street clothes, a witness (I guess), AND a police officer. Then I was verbally assaulted, abused, pushed, and harassed for coming in for a measles vaccine. I've been a patient for over 6 yrs. with no problems but no more. They crazy.

Made a sick appointment at this clinic and also wanted to establish a PCP. I showed up for my appointment early to fill out paperwork as they suggested and they had me scheduled on the wrong date. They were not accommodating and did not offer to fit me in that afternoon even though it was their error. I will not be going back.

I was worried that this place would be TOO professional, like that overwhelming commercial/robotic vibe you get in some business establishments, and that's not something you want when you're getting a physical. The staff at Family Medical is just as human as you and your grandmother. The smiles are genuine and the communication is on point. Not only are they professional, the facility is up to date on the latest tech, so you don't have to worry about them losing documentation or taking a while to get back with you on a small piece of info.

I would like to personally thank n.p Mrs Nester and her staff for the insult. I went in today with the left side of my face/jaw hurting severely I explained my issue and told her I was going on vacation tomorrow morning and when I came back I would go to oral surgeon to get my wisdom teeth cut out. I then asked for enough medication to last me until next week when I get back. She promptly left the room and another lady came in and all but walked me to the door where I was met by a lady at the counter who curtly said your medication is waiting at your pharmacy! My issue was not resolved and now I will have to deal with this severe pain of my jaw on vacation all because I was wrongfully generalized to what I can only expect as a narcotic seeker. I really wish I never had to deal with nurses,doctors or anybody else in the medical field but sadly we have issues that we have to come crawling and begging to them to try and get help. Such a sad world

This is a very good medical practice. The care provided by the staff is very professional. The appointment times are kept very near the actual schedule. The staff moves very quickly to address your reason for being there and they are very courteous. You are in and out with minimal delay. If there is follow up communication, this is done as soon as the information is available. They meet all my expectations to high degree.

Dr. Skinner pays close attention to his patients. He also reviews past visits to make sure he understands your whole history. Most doctors just concentrate on getting you in and out. I feel safe and well taken care of because he does pay attention and will not hesitate to order the recommended test or treatments that are needed. I have also been seen by Dr. Ball and feel that he provides a very similar level of care. I always recommend this group to my coworkers and friends.

I was in here this morning (710am), my visit went well. I called back at 10am to speak to Dr. Carpenter's nurse to ask a question about adding a lab check that my obgyn left off my pap a week before. Melissa answered the phone and wanted me to give her all my business. I am not comfortable doing that. I told her I'd like to see if I can add a lab to my blood work this morning. She asked for the specific test I want. I told her I want to tell the nurse. And she said she needed to know before she could send the message. I just hung up. My family will be finding a new doctor if this is what we have to go through to get a message to our nurse. I called back spoke to Stephanie "to cancel" the appointments. And told her why... Instead of fixing the problem and putting a message into the nurse she just cancels both my children's appointments for this afternoon and my husbands appointment in the morning. Customer service is absolutely terrible.

Very fast service, I'm not sure why the other reviews said they were slow. Dr. Carpenter was nice friendly and amazing. I don't usually go to the doctor unless I'm about to die bc some are very rude & entitled. This offices gets a 5 star review, I only wish I could give it 10 stars. My appointment was at 7:50. Being a new patient I arrived early because I knew I'd have to fill out paper work at 7:25. I was in and out before my 7:50 appointment time. I will definitely come back here!!

Be aware, if you are a single parent with children and cannot afford to pay a huge balance, but rely on your meds to live. DO NOT come here. Money is more important to them than your medical needs. If you cannot pay your balance all at one time, they will not let you be seen or refill your meds. So anyone in the same position, please do not come here. Then they are rude and disrespectful when this issue arises. Just beware.

I first went to Dr. Nabors for a physical for knee replacement because she came highly recommended and I fell in love with her and the staff immediately. l couldn't have been in safer hands or with kinder hearts. I was nervous but, they put me at ease immediately. Now 2 yrs later I'm back going thru it all again because of a major setback the first time. I can't just drop everything to make several appointments because she only wants to deal with 2 of my health concerns per appointment?? I truly wish there was a way to get a refund!
