I could go into greater detail, but the short story is that Dr. Daily did not listen to me as a patient. I was in graduate school at Mississippi College and sought Dr. Daily’s help. He misdiagnosed and down played my concerns when I verbalized to him. He even asked, “why are you here?” Questioning why I would seek out a specialist, such as a urologist. He treated me for a UTI, which I did not have. Turns out, I needed a urologist. A competent urologist that was not Dr. Daily. I saw him twice. Looking back, it was negligent and dismissive.

This is starting out to be very poor service. I was asked to arrive 30 minutes early to complete paperwork to which I did for paperwork that took 6 minutes to complete for 10:10 am appointment. I was charged my co-pay at 9:51 AM. It's currently 11 and I'm still in waiting simply for a consultation. I asked the receptionist where I was in line and stated I was up next. Four other people have been called to the back since then. The lobby has changed in its entirety with the exception of me still sitting here.

I find it difficult to express how good my experience with Dr. Daily has been. He was involved in the very beginning, when it was determined that I had prostate cancer and, has been my surgeon/doctor every step of the way. He has been adamant that I understand what has happened to me and, what we were going to do to correct it. He has kept both me and my family informed as to what actions were going to be required and, then, as to what kind of progress we were making. I feel that Dr. Daily enjoys his work, is competent at it and, cares about his patients. I also honestly feel that Dr. Daily and his very competent staff are the reason I am here today to write this. If I had it to do all over again, (thank God I don’t) I would change nothing. Dr. Daily is the best.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer by a doctor who wasn’t trained in robotic surgery. After reviewing my options, I was certain I wanted to proceed with surgery and it it was clear to me that the robotic option was best for me assuming I could find an experienced surgeon. I quickly became anxious to find that surgeon, but I learned that there’s not a lot of publically available info to help make that decision. I’d been able to put Dr. Daily on my shortlist through his practice’s website & a short video he’d made which led me to believe he was about the right age etc. to have had considerable experience. It turns out, he was instrumental in getting the first da Vinci robotic machine to Mississippi! Further input from my son, who is in the medical field, and consulted with colleagues who know the SE US well, put Dr. Daily at the top of my list. It was a great choice! He seems to be a no nonsense guy with a ton of energy. He oozes competence. You can tell he’s busy, but thrives on it, and when he’s with you he’s dialed in and paying attention. I can’t tell you how relieved I was after my first meeting with him. He took me through the process, the three major potential negative side-effects (all of which I’d been fretting about for days from what I’d been reading/hearing). He said something along the lines of: “I’ve made a lot of friends, because I’ve done a couple thousand of these, and we usually get all three right.” And guess what? He got em all three right for me. Right as rain. Everything’s working and so far, at 4 mos post surgery > undetectable PSA & cancer free. I feel extremely fortunate to have found this guy. His entire team has been wonderful. His office staff is great. The Baptist Hospital was great. To be honest, it didn’t even hurt. I took one Tylenol. That’s it. I was walking in the hall approx 5 hours after the surgery and released the next morning. The catheter is an unfun inconvenience, but it’s in for a week and painlessly removed. So, if you need to make that tough choice like I did, be brave, live, get it done. Dr. Daily is a fantastic choice. I’m grateful I found him. My wife loves him too :-)
