I go in for a full skin exam I get more like a cursory once over by an assistant. Never saw the doctor once in all my visits. Unprofessional and dangerously inadequate examinations.

This was my first time going there. The staff were really nice and cordial. I didnt have to wait maybe 10 minutes at the most. I saw Dr. Gordan, he was extremely nice, very warm, and professional. He checked me all over for miles that looked suspicious but didnt find anything. I had to have an injection which did hurt some on a blemish on my chin. He assured me it would go away with no scar and gave me a script for some cream to put on it if it came back. Enjoyed the visit and didnt have to wait long which I liked. Overall I will recommend this practice to others.

Dr Matthew Gordon is the best skin Dr I ever found in the Memphis area bar none. I went to the old pros for years the so called best dermatology Dr's they were all wrong what they said and there treatments did not work. With no results Dr Matthew Gordon got it fixed , now I see him only 1 or 2 times a year! The Quality of my life is superb now! Dr Gordon is younger and more up to date than the old pros. Not in a rush type to get to the next patient at all he listens closely to your needs . He also gave me the proper creams that worked from day one! So there is HOPE for what your condition may be. They have a huge updated super clean center in Arlington tn short Waite time a plus. His style of treatments are simple and easy to follow. Trust me he is a great accurate Dermatologist . No more I don't know what you have Dr's This fine Dr took care of me.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Patel for many years and we consider her our trusted healthcare partner. She is a compassionate doctor who really cares about her patients and makes sure all concerns are addressed - you never feel rushed. She is the ultimate professional; her staff is excellent and welcoming - it is obvious that patient care and comfort are the priority. Best thing - she has been spot on every time. My skin is picture perfect.

Been meaning to change my review for awhile now. My daughters arm has a huge scar from a pre-melanoma. 17 stitches and not stitched correctly. Done in a rush and way more of her arm taken out than should’ve been. Others have said the same when we are asked who we went to. Wish I’d known in advance. Hope this helps. Ask around before you choose your doctor.

Long wait just to tell me what I told them on my paperwork. Problem still not fix

How unprofessional. As if I don't have anything else to do with my time than wait an hour now to see whomever. Not happy! Get orgained people.

Just for the record a dermatologist should do more than just look at you from a distance. At my 6 week follow up I was told that my face was looking better. It is actually either worse or the same. Really a waste of my 40 dollar copay and still no answers.

My appointment was at 11, I was told to arrive 30 mins before my appointment 10am. I did not get called back until after 12:30pm. Totally not acceptable. Absolutely the worst Dr. visit I've ever experienced. Will not go back.

I have suffered with acne for years. After taking all the necessary steps required by insurance and medical offices such as the topical creams, and oral antibiotics, I was finally ready to start Accutane. I did the 2 visits that required blood work and negative pregnancy tests in order to enroll in the ipledge program and I was ready to start. The next day, I called to give my pharmacy information because after checking with my pharmacy, my prescription was not there. I called a second time that day because there was a problem with filling the prescription. My pharmacy faxed a pre-authorization form required by my insurance in order to obtain the prescription. I called Wednesday asking again about my prescription. I left a message. No response. I called my pharmacy on Thursday. They offered to re-fax the form. I called Friday and was told my doctor was out of the office. I reminded the person that I talked to that Monday is the last day that I can fill this prescription. I call Monday at 8:30 am, and I leave a message. I called at 11:21 am and was told to re-fax the form. At 11:58 am, I called and asked them if they had received the form. Was directed to leave a message, so I also left them a number that they could call to do the prior authorization over the phone. At 12:08 pm, I called my insurance company to ask for help, and they attempted to call them while I was on the line. My insurance company was directed to leave a message. I still have not heard anything! So I call at 2:06 pm and demand with 3 hours left in the business day that something be done and was able to speak to a person and give the phone number for prior authorization. I get a call back at 2:54 pm, she said that she obtained the pre-authorization, but it would take 7-10 days to process it. She said I could come back after 19 days to re-enter the program. I asked would I be subject to a copay and lab fees for this repeat test. She said that would be up to billing, which probably means yes. How many accutane prescriptions does a dermatology office write, and they are not able or do not know to fill out a pre-authorization form? AND how many times did my pharmacy, my insurance company, and I attempt to communicate this? This is unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. I do not recommend them. Everyone makes mistakes, but ignoring a patient's messages and inquiries about a prescription with an expiration date is rude and irresponsible. They have no ethical basis for conducting business.

I came to this location and saw Dr. Craig Gordon. He was wonderful, efficient, and solved the issue with my skin immediately. The facility was also so nice and they were very timely. Highly recommend!!!!

Sandra is absolutely amazing! The laser treatment she performed for rosacea left my skin looking better than it has looked in years. She is extremely knowledgeable and gets results. Thank you for giving me my confidence back!

Had bumps removed from skin. Only half of the area was numbed but Dr continued with very painful procedure. I now need another dermatologist to remove bumps this Dr missed. Same thing happened to my daughter. I do not recommend!’

Jen Sigler

I will never go back to this place again. The doctor was very unprofessional. She gave me several numbing shots and did not allow my body to numb before she started cutting me. I kept telling the doctor I was feeling what she was doing but she didn't listen to me. She just kept giving me shots.

I recently called for an appointment with Dr Patel but was unable to get in with her on my day off. The scheduler suggested I see one of the PAs. I was able to schedule an appointment one the day and time that suited my schedule best and saw Alexis Johnson. She was awesome AND she's in Olive Branch almost every day! I'll be seeing her again.

Addie Simpson

I had a rash pop up the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and I could not get into my regular Dermatologist they were booked and not accepting add on patients. I called the Olive Branch office and was worked in within an hour. The staff was friendly, courteous, and treated me like family. I will be moving my records to this office for continued care. The office is very pretty and I look forward to making a Spa appointment real soon.

My experience has been very unsatisfactory. I went in to have a spot on my face examined. Dr. Patel did a biopsy and she told me about her line of skincare for sensitive skin. When she left the room she said she would call me with the biopsy results. (She never called.)The following day after using the Mommy serum that I had purchased at the office, my face broke out in what appeared to be angry hives. It burned and itched and then my face began to peel. A week later,I am still experiencing peeling in some areas. I have called Dr. Patel's office three times. The only feedback I have received was from a nurse who told me not to drive while taking Benadryl. for my skin condition. I am trying to return this skincare product, which was $70+ but have not been successful. I don't call this service professional.

I was very disappointed...after a friend recommended Dr. Patel to me for my daughter. I immediately made an appt. I requested an appt. with Dr. Patel but have yet to see her. I would have appreciated knowing up front that I would not be seeing her. The nurse practitioner (I think that was her title) was not personable at all and she rushed right through the appt. In fact, she barely glanced at my daughters skin, prescribed her products that had to be mail ordered AND that caused a severe allergic reaction. I went back a second time, she glanced at the hives and her skin and gave me another product to fill via mail order that also gave her hives (likely had the same active ingredients). I won't waste my time returning a third time as this was a complete waste of money and time. I'm currently searching for a Dermatologist who has time to actually examine my daugher's skin. I would have given the a zero if was allowed.

I have been taking my 13 year old daughter to Advanced Dermatology for over 2 years to clear up her acne. We have seen a combination of PA's and Dr. Patel. During this time my daughter was made to feel as if it were her fault for having acne. She was never treated how a pre-teen middle school child with acne should be treated. She was told she looked like a "sweater and a face toucher" and that there was nothing that could be done for that. She was told her acne was due to dandruff. Dr. Patel never actually looked to see if she had dandruff (she does not). The only time the physician actually touched my daughter was to grab her shirt and pull it down to look at her chest without letting her know she needed to do that. Dr. Patel does not know how to provide age specific care! We were accused of not doing the medications correctly. Why would I bring my daughter back to you and buy new medications every 3-4 months if we were not using the medications? I was made to feel horrible because I told her I could not afford a medication that would cost around $700 per tube. The final straw came when Dr. Patel told us that the only other option that we had was to do a chemical peel from her own line of skin care. I feel as if we had been fighting this battle and not making any headway for 2 years or more just so she could push her own line of skincare. Dr. Patel seems to be way more interested in the "beauty" side of dermatology rather than the "problem and treatment" side of dermatology. She should really change her sign out front to advertise her aesthetics instead of dermatology. I have taken my daughter to a new dermatologist and within 2 weeks, her skin is starting to clear up beautifully. I hate that we spent 2 years, unnecessary money, and now have scars wasting time at Dr. Patel's office. I wish I could give this office less than 1 star.

I am all about reading reviews before visiting a new doctor. I believe they are the best way to get a feel for an office beforehand. I myself work at a professional health facility and we take pride in our reviews. We also try to solve someone’s problem if they weren’t satisfied. I like to leave a review, good or bad. I honestly had one of the worst experiences at this doctors office today. I am 2months postpartum and trying to get all of my doctors appointments out of the way before returning to work. I noticed a few areas of concern I wanted Dr. Patel to look at to ease my mind. I’m a very paranoid person when it comes to my health so I was really looking forward to today’s visit. My appointment was at 2:00 PM. I arrived at 1:45 to fill out paperwork. The office was very busy so I expected a little bit of a wait. The whole office cleared (3 patients who arrived after me taken back) before I was called back. I wasn’t called back to the back until about 3:15. I was back in my car by 3:21 if that tells you how thorough Dr. Patel’s full body scan went. The nurse asked me what I was concerned about and I told her I wanted a full body check and I had two areas specifically (they were both private areas.) The nurse then told me to undress except for my undergarments and put the robe on. A few minutes later Dr. Patel comes in without introducing herself, shakes my hand so fast I wasn’t even able to get my pinky in the right position (yes, I know. Very detailed but I want to give the whole scenario.) The first words that come out of her mouth as she pulls the front of my robe open is “Have you been sweating, you’re very broken out.” Then rudely makes a comment about having color to my skin and to wear sunscreen. Then goes from my head (doesn’t even move a strand of my hair), peaks at my back and barely pulls the robe away from me, scans my arms and legs and is done. Didn’t even take 15 seconds. Not once did she look under my undergarments (where my two concerns were.) So then she asks if I have any questions and I of course, in shock, have to point out several areas for her to look at in which she cut me off every time saying “it’s good.” I had to pull my undergarments aside for her to see the main spots I wanted her to look at, so her “thorough scan” never would have seen these areas. She literally couldn’t get out of there quick enough. I then have to keep her in the room to discuss my uneven skin appearance and dark spots on my face that have appeared after pregnancy. She goes into a spill about how nursing is doing this to my skin and having a male baby will change my moles? I let her finish and informed her I was in fact not nursing and birthed a baby girl. She then starts fumbling over her words, making me feel very self conscious that I am not breast feeding and says it took me 9 months to have a child and give my skin some time. I asked if she had any samples for my face of the Visha skin care they sell and she tells me no and then leaves the room and says the nurse will write her recommendation down. It all happened so fast, I get dressed and immediately become upset. I walk out of the room and Dr. Patel is sitting at the front scrolling on her phone. She wasn’t even in a hurry to see another patient. I stop and ask her if she would have been able to tell if I had melanoma doing a scan that fast. She looks up at me in disbelief and rudely says yes. I then tell her the scan was not thorough at all. She says “she does this everyday and it would have been obvious.” She didn’t even have me stand to look at the back of my legs or my entire back. She didn’t even remove my undergarments. I’ve heard of people having melanoma between their fingers and toes. She didn’t even glance at those. She knew I was upset & looked back at her phone and went on with her business as I walked out so upset. I have never felt so disrespected in my life. I will not be returning or would I feel comfortable sending anyone I love there. If I do have melanoma, there is no way that scan would have detected it. I have the opposite of peace of mind.

Only gave this a star because I could not proceed otherwise. I visited the Olive Branch, MS location a total of 5 times. The first time my original problem was solved and within 1-2 weeks I had a new problem. Returned and doc did nothing but tell me it would work itself out and charge me for the visit. Went 3 more times, the last two seeing a different doc and a cosmetics tech. No solution and on my final visit was finally told I might consider getting another opinion. Still have the problem and about to pay again for no solution. I will not return here nor will I refer anyone else to this office.

I have seen Dr. Gordon in the past for my acne skin care as well as for my regular skin exams. I have always been very pleased with my appointments. The wait was never very long and at the end of my visit I always felt as if more then what I came for had been addressed. I have also seen several PAs there, each one was knowledgeable and had a warm personality. Most recently I had to visit them for a minor surgery with Dr. Patel. The nurse who injected me was very good at her job because I felt very little pain and discomfort. I did not feel anything during my surgery and three days later I still have yet to feel any real pain. I am not looking forward to my stitches being removed but the staff there is always so nice that it really makes a difference. I would recommend Advanced Dermatology for anyone that has concern for their skin health.

Absolutely horrible service. Had an appointment for 11, got there at 10:30, filled out forms and turned them in, and sat there for an hour and a half only to find that they hadn’t even entered our forms in yet. Place was very disorganized and unprofessional.

Not happy. Told I had pre-cancerous spots i needed to address, then from that point they couldn't get my insurance to approve one type of treatment and I only found out because my pharmacy told me - but they were working on it..... No contact from Advance Dermatology. No return calls to my messages. One call to check on a not happy email i left them - and they would have the nurse call me - NOT. Nothing. Didn't even reach out to discuss an alternate treatment that would be covered. If that is the care you get after dropping the precancerous word on a patient then I don't need it nor do I recommend ANYONE put their money or health into this group.

Went in to see Dr. Patel. Waited 30-40 minutes past my appointment time which wasnt too bad since they appeared to be busy. I went in with some spots of concern and wanted to be checked out fully since i am fair complexion and freckled. She shook my hand without an introduction and "checked" me put so quickly that I don't know how she saw anything! Recommended an otc product and one her office sells. Her an her assistant talked so fast I had to ask questions before they ran out of the room. I do not feel it was a thorough exam and will be seeking another dermatologist.

Today was my first visit to Advanced Dermatology. I had a great visit and was treated with respect and professionalism. Dr. Johnson is the consumate professional. It did not take a lot of time to complete the paperwork and be seen. This is likely to be my new dermatology center after my previous center closed after thirty plus years of visits. Great, great visit!!!

(Olive Branch Location) Rude from front desk to the doctor who saw my daughter. Made us feel irrelevant. The only person that was extra sweet was a girl that called me back the first time I had to call about a prescription and she was in the Germantown office. Called and left a message for the nurse this past weekend and have yet to hear back from them. I realize office morale travels down from the top and seeing that it started at the front desk and went all the way back to the exam room them you have to bring management into question.

Kelsey Rauschenberger

Worst experience ever. Waited 2 hours to be seen for 2 minutes. Was blamed for the wait by the receptionist, saying that I arrived too early. A waste of time and money, find another Dr.

I drove all the way to Southaven from Tupelo for an appointment regarding cosmetic mole removal only to be told by Dr. Gordon that he was not the one to help me and referred me to the Esthetitian on staff was totally blindsided. He never examined my skin and acted as though he didn't have time to be bothered!

Britni Figueroa

I haven't even made it in the office yet. My husband's appointment is at 1:30pm today. I called right now to confirm. She told me I needed to be there at 12:45. Wait!?!?!?! What 45min. to fill out paper work? That is absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for.

Lele Edwards

Very fast and professional

Quita B

The doctor was very unprofessional and act as if my child had a disease. She wasn't very helpful and prescribed me medicine that was the most expensive and less effective. I will never go back to that place ever.
