Some good. Some bad. I've had to wait over 2 hours for my appointment. Then wait again in another waiting room in the back for 30 minutes. I hate it. It's disrespectful of my time and of me. Can you imagine showing up to your appointment 2 .5 hours late and them being OK with it? Ha! But, Dr. Kennedy (who is no longer there) did a stellar job on my cataract surgery. None the less, I absolutely dread going there due to the wait times. Only once have I gotten in to see the dr in a reasonable time frame. After my final cataract surgery follow up I won't be going back. Plenty of other good doctors in our area.

Most of the staff was friendly, but the wait was awful. I was there for 2 hours for a routine eye exam and contact fitting. I was with the ophthalmologist for about 10 minutes of that, and he seems rushed and frazzled. It was a Saturday, which I'm sure is their busiest day, but based on other reviews it's the norm.

Do you like waiting? Far past your appointment time? Maybe you line a casual dissregard for other? Then check out this location!

We saw Dr Watanabe for our daughter's astigmatism and resultant amblyopia. When we recently saw him however, he billed the visit simply as a routine eye appointment (for nearly $300) and our insurance denied payment because no condition was identified for billing or treatment (though obviously conditions are identified and thankfully being treated!) Per our insurers, for a routine eye exam, we should use our vision plan (which also covers part of glasses payment, we went with their office as in past Dr Watanabe expressed greater confidence in the glasses made at his office - indeed they have been good!) and see an optometrist, not an MD. Clearly this is an insurance issue, but when we contacted the office to see if they could note the conditions in the note or bill so it could be covered, or could do so in the future, they flat out refused to work with it. He said we should return to see him next year to assure that alignment remains good, but if he cannot take the time to note or bill that he is treating alignment and/or her astigmatism, so that our medical insurer will cover at least part of the bill with him, it is a very tough sell as he bills the same as optometrist who we can see for <$100 charge to insurer and none to us and glasses at a discount (only higher end frames out of pocket, rx covered) compared to $300 for her prescription with St Paul Eye. I don't think we will return because of this. Because she does have worrisome eye conditions, we will look for a pediatric ophthalmologist who is willing to take the time to note and bill the conditions being treated and an office staff who is responsive to these concerns.

Overall Dr. George and the staff at St. Paul Eye- Woodbury- has been fantastic with my grandmother and I. I appreciate their customer service especially Krystal who was a tremendous help to me this morning. The only thing I am worried about is the lack of language access for my grandmother. She is having a reaction to the medication and poor Krystal states that there isn't an interpreter available to help.

I waited an hour only to be rushed through a prescription exam by a "specialist". The specialist was not an optomistrist. The tech was rude. I ended up with the wrong prescription!

John Schaenzer

Horrible. Waited for over an hour only to be sent to a different location where I waited for another hour.

Dr. Tsai and the St. Paul Eye staff did an excellent job making me feel comfortable by taking the time to explain each test and thoroughly answer my questions. The appointment was extremely smooth and efficient from start to finish. I would highly recommend Dr. Tsai and St. Paul Eye Clinic.

They gave me the wrong prescription for my 7 year old son's glasses and then tried to blame me for it. Then when I went to get it fixed they left us sitting for two hours after they dilated his pupils. I ended up leaving due to the long wait and instead of apologizing for all their mistakes they sent me a very rude letter in the mail continuing to act as if all this was my fault. I will never go back and would never recommend them to anyone!!

The automated answering system that forces clients to make a call back request from the appointment center to make an appointment for an eye exam is like making an appointment to talk to someone to make an appointment at the clinic. How many jobs got eliminated...your management needs their heads examined as well as their eyes.
