I had a wonderful experience at all locations that we went to. From speaking with Dr K Grande initially about the possibity of havin a child, to my 6 week post partum appointment, everyone involved at all clinics made this an amazing experience. Dr Grande was always calm, never judgemental, was kind and caring and gentle. She delivered the best thing that has ever happened to myself and my husband. As we were going in for surgery, she personally went to check on my husband so that we would both have the peace of mind that was needed as we were becoming parents. There is not a thing that I would change about my experience with the doctor, nurses, and reception staff.

Caution on going here!! Potential Malpractice in the works. These people(JOAN in particular) are all about taking kickbacks from pharma and prescribing medications that are under massive scrutiny. Basically, Birth Control Medications that are on the chopping block/ recall list/ or are hitting ultra low sales volumes, get prescribed here. In essence, Joan gets to have some branded clocks, nice steak dinners, and/or kickback or bonus incentves on the dime of the pharmaceutical companies involved. We are seeking legal advice for the unusual and crude behavior of this business. BE AWARE!!!

Ive been seeing metro ob for 5 yrs. They are kind, clean and ive never felt pushed into any kind of b.c. method. They did a wonderful job caring for me and my kiddo during my pregnancy. I havent had many if any complaints. I was very surprised to see so many negative reviews. They made sure i was well informed about my options and the positives and negatives about each method. (This year they even emailed a short survey after my visit to follow up in case i had any complaints or comments)

My daughter had an appointment and they kept her waiting for 2 hours, then the doctor came to tell her she couldn't see her as someone was delivering. Unexpected deliveries are understood, but the staff should have told my sick and miserable daughter that the doctor was busy. They then sent in a nurse practioner who told her she would write 2 prescriptions, but only submitted one to the pharmacist. Turns out the 2nd prescription was an anti-nausea drug to accompany the first prescription. My daughter has been vomiting for 14 hours straight and is already in tremendous pain. I've been waiting an hour for a call back and can't get thru. I'm amazed at how badly they've handled this.

I had a job change in November which necessitated me to go on my husband's insurance. I had been seeing metro ob gyn for my pregnancy since june. They deliver only at health east and allina. I talked to my dr. about it and since i was so far along in pregnancy changing Dr's was not recommended so per her advice we called to see if they would accommodate. Allina was no longer in network on husband's insurance and healtheast would be in network as of 1/1 but if anything happened earlier their delivery locations would not be in network. So we called to what options we had. His insurance was adamant that they couldn't consider it in network before but could go forward with deliver their if it occurred pre 1/1 and appeal afterwards. For obvious reasons we would not do that because we can't just shell out 10K+ in cost especially when we have insurance..so I went into labor on 12/23 and had to go to M health fairview. In labor it took them multiple hours to get a hold of anyone and tests that I had had and vaccine information reviewed during the course of my time with metro had never been documented so there were holes and fairview did a great job proceed w/o that information and took care of the baby but again metro had gaps in what was documented. They also did not have my records posted to shared medical history site that hospitals can access. so i was in full labor for 5 hours w/o anything because they couldn't get a hold of anyone. Then when I called after i delivered to explain the nurse practitioner followed up with me. Since the receptionist who relayed my message and cut me off explaining and asked for min. details which was relayed, they didn't know what was going on. I explained and they had additional test results. which they gave me and then they told me to just follow up with my 6 week visit with my family practice dr and not them. I told them my family practice Dr was no longer in network either so i would have to find one. They said they would send me a piece of paper with that family practice clinics they've worked with. I then received an EOB from my previous insurance because all of December visits were processed under old insurance even though i gave them my new insurance. I called and that person was also incredibly rude. she cut me off and asked me for additional information then said they'd reprocess and that was that. I do not recommend this clinic. There were definite issues with accessing/documenting information and then when an emergency came up for me that necessitated I go somewhere else they washed their hands of me and told me to follow up with someone else.... This was after seeing them into my ninth month of pregnancy. Also the one time I too tried their "24 hour" hotline earlier in my pregnancy no one ever called me back... That was the first red flag.

They covered my insurance so I thought they would be good. But Joan is extremely insensitive and basically thought I was finding reasons the past 2 months supposedly to be seen. I have the Nexplanon birth control inplant in my arm & have had pregnancy symptoms. I just went to get checked out thats all but the whole time she seemed like I was making this stuff up . Gave me a copy of the Nexplanon pamphlet and basically went thru all the symptoms I was having and was trying to disprove all of them. Saying that most likely I had a bladder infection or a cyst. On top of this I called about 2 1/2 weeks ago about these bad cramps I was having and the nurse wanted me to wait til January to see if they would go away. Wow, again are you kidding me? The only reasons I picked this clinic was : A) my doctor told me about them & they were in the same building as healtheast downtown B) They covered my insurance. Sorry but I don't think I can remain a patient at some place that doesn't give a rats ass.

I am surprised to see such bad reviews for metro ob!! I have seen Dr. knoedhler for years now and she is by far the best OB I have ever had. She will go to great lengths to make sure that your birth control is 100% right for you!! I also saw her throughout my pregnancy and at every single appointment she was so thorough and caring I never felt rushed with her!

I'm surprised to see such horrible reviews here. I have been with Metro OBGYN for the pass years and I can only say my experiences and visits with them were always phenomenal! Dr. Hallman is the best! I was under his care with my first pregnancy, so he made sure all my questions and concerns were answered and his assistant Emmy was awesome! I would recommend Metro to friends and families.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMENED. Front desk can be rude, unprofessional, and are not knowledgeable at all. They cannot even schedule an appointment properly. If you want quality ob care I recommend to go elsewhere.
