Dr Stevens amazed me. I hadn't gone to a gyno in over 6 years due to self image issues & she made me feel very comfortable!! She told me "you NEVER have to feel embarrassed about your body here." The support staff were also very kind and welcoming. Great clinic for women.

I'm writing this review after being a client with Clinic Sofia for over 5 years. I've only had one bad experience of having to wait a long time to be seen and only once did I have a negative experience with the front desk. People are human beings and everyone has a bad day(s), eventually it gets better or the person is replaced. There is so much finger pointing and crucifying going on - this need to punish others has prompted me to write this review. Fact: Sophia Clinic is a quality care facility that is geared for women and has a large bowl of chocolates in the waiting room. Fact: if you go anywhere with a positive attitude, it is most likely you will get what you give. Yes, complain directly if you need to, but with the heart to help others...not to rage on and try to destroy something good.

I have the pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Deb Krahl. She is not only extremely smart and thorough, she has incredible interpersonal skills. She can calm you down in a scary or sad situation while still delivering clear information you need as a patient and she is right there with you to celebrate the exciting things. The entire experience at Clinic Sofia is wonderful - from friendly receptionists (and free wifi!) to smiling, kind medical assistants and phlebotomists/nurses who will go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. I feel safe and well taken care of with Dr. Krahl and am sure the other providers deliver the same exceptional care as well.

Love Clinic Sofia! Dr. Block is amazing and made me feel so important and cared for. Jennifer Knapp (nurse practitioner was also so warm and thorough)! All other staff (nurses, ultrasound techs, front desk staff) are amazing and nice! This is my first pregnancy and so far i would recommend Clinic Sofia. Overall this clinic is clean, thorough, and welcoming!

Being a first time mom, I was excited, scared, nervous, anxious all at the same time. We saw Dr. Wagner and she is amazing! She is so knowledgeable but also so easy to talk to! Very authentic and down to earth. She took the time to help me fully understand all the different doctor appointments, ultrasounds and labs I’d have during my pregnancy and also what to expect at the delivery. Never once did she make me feel rushed or silly for asking questions. All of the staff you encounter at Clinic Sofia are warm, friendly, and helpful. I was experiencing spotting and very scared and called in after-hours and spoke with Dr. Block and she reassured me and comforted me! I saw Jennifer for a couple of my visits and she also took the time to explain everything to me and answered my questions about morning sickness, prenatal vitamins, and genetic testing options. I am so happy and grateful for Dr Wagner and all of Clinic Sofia!

Absolutely love coming here. I was so nervous about finding the right fit for my pregnancy and from the moment we met Dr. Krahl we knew we were going to have a great experience. All the staff are great, nurturing and very friendly. We couldn’t have made a better choice.

Absolutely unhappy with this place. I've had 2 children at other typical hospitals, and stayed with my OB for each one all the way through. Never had complaints. However, now that I'm pregnant with #3, I wanted to go to a clinic that I thought was going to really focus on you as a patient. This place is garbage, and halfway through my current pregnancy, I've found somewhere else to go. Constant miscommunications. Telling me I had ultrasounds twice on days I apparently did not. My husband took off work both times to attend and wasn't very happy with them either. The doctor/ PA hardly talks to you after each appointment, half the time you just leave after the ultrasound, no face to face with dr. And now, to top it all off, I accidentally left my ultrasound photos after my most current exam in the dr's office. My name, gestational date, birthdate, etc. are all on each photo, I'm clearly a patient. Very easy to give me a call to come pick these up, obviously wanted since I asked for them, but someone threw them away while cleaning. I'm devastated because they dont keep any photos that aren't medically necessary. So the first 3D one I've ever had of any of my 3 children, the one telling us it's our first girl, etc., are just gone now. Awesome. Glad I left. I hope nobody else has to feel as bad as I do. Don't bother going here.

Dr. Block is the most wonderful OB anyone could wish for! She has delivered three wonderful babies for me! Now I'm older and having menstrual problems shes still the best! Two surgeries and three children delivered by the best OB ever! I feel lucky to have a TOP doctor,voted by so by peers for multiple years,in my corner. Love love love Clinic Sofia

Before visiting Clinic Sofia, every doctor and OBGYN I’ve ever seen seemed to default to hormonal birth control as the only treatment option for any irregular period problem or hormonal imbalance. They tend to deny the frustrating side effects of these medications, saying either that it’s in my head or that I just haven’t found the right one yet. I went into this appointment with little hope and the expectation of enduring yet another shameless plug for hormonal birth control despite my complaints. Dr. Stevens, while offering these as a possible treatment option, told me, “you should never feel pushed into a single treatment option because of your diagnosis.” She presented different options to manage my condition more naturally and ways Clinic Sofia could support these paths if I wanted (i.e. consultation with their “functional medicine” physician, testing hormone levels, follow-up appointments, etc.). No doctor has ever told me I could manage my condition without medications, even after years of complaining about my prescriptions. Dr. Stevens listened patiently as I described my concerns and medical background. She graciously answered all my silly questions. If you’ve been struggling to find a OBGYN who actually listens to you and what you want, I would highly recommend Clinic Sofia. One 30-minute visit partially restored my faith in the medical field.

This was my first time going to the gyno and I was super nervous. Prior to that I always just had my family medicine doctor do all of my women's health exams. I also never had a male doctor for women's health related issues, but thought i would give it a try. I chose Clinic Sofia because of all of the great reviews and all of the awards they had won (which are displayed in the lobby when you get there). Everyone was so nice, from the receptionist ladies to the nurses. Dr. David Clay was seriously amazing. He made me feel so at ease since i was so nervous. He explained everything he was going to do before he did it and what i may feel. He even drew pictures for me to further explain. Overall I had a really great experience and would recommend him and this clinic to anyone. I will be back for my next appointment. Thanks Dr. Clay!

Dr. clay has been an amazing OB! I would highly recommend him. He’s honest, kind, has great bedside manner, and is super knowledgeable. He always responds to my emails and questions, and has been so supportive throughout everything. I couldn’t be more impressed! Can’t say enough good things about him. I am so happy I found a new doctor!

Right off the bat we were pushed into a 10 week appointment when we preferred waiting until the typical 12 week appointment. We were scheduled for seperate appointments for lab testing, ultrasounds, and dr. visits. It felt like we were in for weekly appointments which was insane. To make problems worse the Dr. would never go over the results of labs and ultrasounds save for the one scare we had early on. They outsourced us to 2 seperate clinics for further testing that they did not have the proper equipment for, thankfully those clinics were still in our network for health insurance. We also never heard from the Dr. in the clinic about either of those results. There multiple were times that we encountered oblivious and unprofessional staff members. We pay our hard earned money to these people so choose carefully and dont just think this is normal. Hopefully you dont make the same mistake by going here. Our new clinic is much better and the best part is they schedule all ultrasounds labs and dr visits in the same appointment. Sure it may take longer but who wants to go the Dr. every week. I love Clinic Sofia and have had such a great experience there during my pregnancies. To compare, I started out at with a regular doctor's office with my first pregnancy. Everything went fine until 20 weeks when I had complications and my baby came at 21 weeks and didn't make it. I was recommended to switch to Doctor Block for future pregnancies, which I did, and I am forever grateful. The procedures set in place to keep an eye on ladies during their pregnancies are a step above what they did in the regular doctor's office for me. They keep a closer eye on me, which I am sure has helped keep my babies until full-term. I now have a 22-month-old and am just a couple months away from my next one being delivered. I also know that the ladies at this office care about my pregnancies and are rooting for me to succeed. I have had minor complications along the way with each one, and they have been extremely helpful making sure that I am taken care of and baby stays inside me. I highly, highly recommend this office. You will be happy about it!

There is a review out there that says everyone at Clinic Sofia is great except Dr. Jewelia Wagner. I'm writing this review to (hopefully) combat that review and say that we LOVE Dr. Wagner! I initially went to Clinic Sofia as a referral from a friend as I had a horrible experience at a completely different clinic. I never had my initial consultation with Dr. Wagner to talk about my pregnancy, instead, I was seen by a different doctor who know longer works at Clinic Sofia. One day they scheduled me to see Dr. Wagner and I knew she was the one for me! She is very personable, friendly, great bedside manner, and just makes you feel good about the whole pregnancy journey. I never felt judged. When I asked her questions (and I did that a lot), she always answered them and never made me feel incompetent or rushed. There were always positive and encouraging remarks from her. Conversely, she would tell me if something was not right or if I was worrying too much. There was not a lot of fluff which I hate! I wanted someone who was straightforward, honest, and medically sound. Dr. Wagner has three kids (2 are twins), so there is something about her approach to caring for her patients like "I get this. I know what you're going through! We got this." She ultimately delivered my 2nd baby girl at Fairview Southdale. I would 100% recommend her! She is amazing! Thank you Dr. Wagner! :)

My experience at Clinic Sofia has been wonderful. The front desk staff always has a smile on their faces, the nurses/MA’s are always kind and helpful and Dr. Wagner is amazing! I had severe pre-eclampsia and had to have an emergency c-section with my first pregnancy. Dr. Wagner was by my side throughout the whole process, answered all of my questions and truly made me and my husband feel comfortable throughout this scary situation. I have zero complaints about Clinic Sofia and would recommend this clinic and Dr. Wagner to everyone! You won’t be let down.

Maple Grove Location: Requested to have my medical records transferred to a new clinic. have been there 5 times and have been seen by 3 different people. The nurses that check your weight and take blood etc. are all very nice and wonderful, the Ultra Sound lady is nice too. Other than that I've never felt comfortable there, the rooms are too small and I feel like just a number. EVERY time I go there there is a very very long wait to be seen, even though I get there before my appointment starts. My last appointment I had a 35 min. wait, and not once did anyone apologize or say someone will be with you soon. Different advice with the three doctors, which was very confusing. Since this is our first baby, it is especially scary and all I wanted was to feel welcome and more than just a number. Sorry, I gave this place multiple chances and hate to write bad reviews but I just had to.

I was a patient at Clinic Sofia while trying to get pregnant and then through my pregnancy. I felt the same way as the last review-Dr. Block was in and out, always rushed, never said goodbye or let me know what was going on with my pregnancy-I definitely felt like a patient rather than a person in that office so I switched over to Dr. Wagner-she was a doll! She even delivered my baby-she was a great cheerleader! The business office at Clinic is terrible and RUDE! I had explained to them that I was aware I had a balance but due to just having my baby and being on unpaid maternity leave I was not able to pay at that time-they had no understanding or compassion! The next I knew I had a certified letter from them stating that I had been sent to collections, with a letter signed by Dr. Block saying that she had terminated my care! I went to Southdale Obgyn this time around-right next to Clinic Sofia and let me tell you they are worlds apart! Highly reccomended for all your womanly needs!!!!

Dr. Block is terrible. Seeing her is like going to a fast food restaurant - she spends no time with the patient, and have left the treating room before I even finished my sentence on numerous occasions without coming back nor saying goodbye. Go somewhere else if you want proper respect and care from your OBGYN doctor.
