REVIEWS OF Apple Valley Medical Center IN Minnesota

Jeanne Leighton

Natalie Pausch did my physical and was very thorough. She took lots of time for questions and helped me with figuring out who to talk to to get a 3D mammogram. She was very helpful.

Edward Hadash

Dr. Frederixon is my doctor and I've been going to him for like 15-20 years. I don't want to go anyplace else.

Jennifer Boudreau

Always able to get appointments on short notice, check in is easy, and they are open longer hours so I don't have to take time off of work to see a doctor. Super convenient.

Rosario Melbye

Coming to this clinic for many years, so far no complaints, except one time my surgery got canceled because I was not communicate and prescribed that I had an infection during my pre-physical. No one call me and explained or apoligize. Last visit about my broken foot they were helpful.

Murray Dahlberg

My visit with my primary care provider went well. Dr. Steichen is always professional, thorough, caring, and takes time to listen.

Terry sullivan

Easy to get an appointment and Julie and the nurse helped me with my issue and they got it all done in less than an hour.

Eric Findley

Went in for workman’s comp, nothing serious but had maybe pulled muscles. Went around two in the afternoon so fairly quiet and all in all. Took 6 hrs from check in to leave. Half of the wait was in the room waiting for the doctor. If I had my choice it would not be this place. Ply it’s 50/50 on the front desk clerks if they’re going to be super nice or give you attitude.

Naomi M.

very nice, helpful and friendly staff

Dianne Purdy

My recent visit went well from check-in to the nurse to Dr. Diede to the lab. I felt what I had to say about my health concerns and general well being we're important. It is nice to be listened to.

April Keihn Morrison

Everyone was very nice, friendly and helpful. The Dr. listened to me, gave me a suggestion for what to do and sent me home with a prescription. I would go back again!

Tina Zimel

Everyone is very professional and friendly. Dr. Hett is an amazing physician. She is smart with great communication skills. I also had blood drawn and the lab girls were very nice. I highly recommend Apple Valley Medical to anyone looking for a family doctor.

Natasha Murphy

Dr Pallas is always friendly and very helpful. We have seen him for years and wouldn’t consider changing.

Lynn Thompson

I went to Apply Valley Medical Clinic thinking there was nothing wrong, I needed a referral to the Dizzy Center and one of those colon test you do at home. The RN took my pulse and discovered I had an erratic heart beat. The nurse and doctor took very good care of me. I was very satisfied with my care.

Dan Di Marco

No waiting. Attentive staff.

Ricky Frazier

Like the doctor. Professional. Fast

Brent S

They never answer the phone, and then take over a week to return your voicemail. The absolute worst clinic I've ever been to. I have serious health issues and have not gotten a live person on the phone for almost 2 months. Anyone giving them a positive review must be a family member or a stakeholder. They need to hire some non-millenials that still understand customer service and remember how to answer their phones.

Cindy Wallerick

Dr. Mies is always so positive and knowledgeable. She makes me feel comfortable and I am so fortunate to have her as my doctor

betty salek

My provider was knowledgeable and professional.

Despite all these responses from the Patient Advocate on google reviews, I was just told in writing by the COO Mark P of AVMC that they didn’t have a Patient Advocate. I have a billing dispute with them and need to make a complaint and requested the contact info for the Patient Advocate. I see now that he preferred lie to me instead of work with me over $128. Proof that the employee reviews on Glassdoor & Indeed about dishonest & greedy higher ups is true. I brought my 7 year old in and told 3 people, the front desk, the nurse, and the doctor that “my daughter fell on the ice and the school nurse believes her arm is broken because it looks deformed.” I went to this provider specifically because they had an urgent care and their website lists orthopedic care with multiple doctors pictured. At the cost of $400 and over an hour later (mostly spent waiting) and after an X-ray, I was told that they couldn’t treat broken bones and was given a preprinted list of about 10 other providers that I could go to, with Twin Cities Ortho circles as my best option. (Turned out to be my only option which they were prob aware too) Mark wrote to me “I’m sorry that you mistakenly thought...”I didn’t know that there was such a thing as an orthopedic center that didn’t treat broken bones & so instead of telling me that, it gave them the right to proceed and charge me. As if they have the right to take advantage of someone who didn’t know any better. This is the first time my child has ever broken a bone. I didn’t go to a strip mall urgent care and assume they could help. I went to a Medical Center that has an Orthopedic dept taking up half their 2nd floor and has it listed on their website. I should have been told that they couldn’t help and given the choice whether I wanted to stay and waste time and money, and CAUSE MY CHILD ADDITIONAL PAIN by having her broken arm handled by 3 different people, or to just drive 6 miles down the road for actual treatment bc 1) it’s a reasonable assumption that a hospital with an orthopedic department can treat a broken bone and 2) it’s obvious that no one would choose to pay them $400 only to have to transport their injured child somewhere else and pay the other provider an hour later. They also messed up my child’s bandage and sling the school nurse put her in. This was definitely NOT in the best interest of the patient but it was in the best interest of making money off someone in the middle of a crisis. When I got to Twin Cities Ortho, I could barely afford to pay their $500 deposit. I told the person at the front desk what had happened at AVMC, how I just wasted $150 and asked her for a discount. I overheard her talking to her manager and all she had to say was “she just came from Apple Valley Medical Center” and the discount was approved with no questions asked. I learned later that it’s common practice for AVMC to take in patients with broken bones KNOWING they won’t be able to treat them, make $400, and then tell them to go somewhere else. To top it all off, they charged us for a level IV office visit—the 2nd highest cost—despite the fact no treatment was provided. If the situation was that critical enough to warrant a level IV office visit, they probably should have done something to treat my daughter, maybe a pack of ice or something, but they literally did nothing. Last but not least, they sent me to collections and tacked on an additional $70 fee despite the fact I’ve been disputing this with them since day one and the collections rep tried to convince me NOT to dispute charges saying it would make no difference. Originally only wanted the rest of the charges removed but now I want the $150 back that I already paid too. ***Update: I received a message from the Patient Advocate and received her voicemail stating twice that she was the Patient Advocate and then just received another email from Mark claiming they don’t have a full time patient advocate but has a staff member who handles complaints. Mark— in other words—the patient advocate. This place is TERRIBLE. ***

I have been a patient since 1982 at this clinic and seen many changes recently in the past year and a half I have seen several great Drs leave. This clinic is not much help with medication refills as they are not done promptly and when you call in for anything you can bet you will be told " you have to come in", even if you were there in the last week!! It's their way of making more money off of you. This clinic has really gone down hill and I can't say I would recommend it.

Clayton Hatzenbuhler

Dr Troedson is excellent, he spends time with you, listens and asks questions. Is very honest and tells you the truth. Also will refer to another expert if he sees something wrong.

Donna Comport

I am very happy with the quality of care that I always receive every time I go to Apple Valley Medical. i would happily recommend this facility to anyone.

Harlan Altepeter

Quite caring and understanding my medical. needs

Amy Saucier

They were a few minutes ahead of schedule, I didn't wait long between seeing the nurse and seeing my doctor. Both were personable, friendly and efficient. I would have liked a little more time to talk about some minor skincare concerns I had on the side, but they got what I came in for taken care of without issue or delay.

Joanne Winkler

The nicest and most helpful people ever!!!

Keith Knutson

On time - I was in and out in 20 minutes.

Dan Fall

Consistently doing a better job of diagnosing versus ruling out and treating.

Suzy Anderson

AVMC IS A MACHINE THAT PROCESSES WIDGETS. THE DESIGN RUNS POORLY WITHOUT FEELING, CARING, OR INTEREST IN HUMANS. WIDGET REPAIR ONLY. I have been a patient since 1990, and have become less content. In a recent experience, I was referred for a procedure. 10 years before, I had been to that provider, and had a terrible experience. This time, the provider called me weekly to schedule, and my reservations grew, so I asked to speak to someone to find out if changes could be made so I might not repeat the nightmare experience. They said "it probably wouldn't happen again - they never heard of such a thing." So, I found another provider through a nurse at my insurance company, and got the referral, and they said the complications I had previously were not uncommon, and could easily be avoided. So, they changed some orders and requested I get a prescription for Zofran from my doctor at AVMC. That took some time, since the nurse thought it was OTC, but, I read the information from the Internet, and convinced her that was not the case. Finally, all necessary medications were sent to my pharmacy...and, for some unknown reason, the provider originally recommended called in prescriptions to a pharmacy I didn't use. AVMC turned a deaf ear to my concerns about the first provider, and the first provider insisted they had never heard of the complications that the nurse at my insurance company, and the second provider indicate are common. AVMC seems confused as to what medications require prescriptions. AVMC is referring people to a provider who is calling in prescriptions for no apparent reason - I had no appointment. I'm only writing this because its not the first problem...its after a series of many problems. AVMC has lost sight of individuals and put in place a system with cogs that processes widgets. That would be great, except people are not things. The health of people shouldn't be put in a system and through cogs, but the good news is that we can opt out of this dehumanized system! Two years ago, when I had pneumonia, I was left in an exam room for three hours. I finally went to the front desk and found out the doctor had left. I was then put back in an exam room for another hour to wait for an assistant who handed me a prescription that had been written by the doctor prior to her departure; at what point should you give up? Resolved that wouldn't happen again, on another visit, I left after a one hour wait to get orders to get a lab test. After yet another hour, I got my grocery shopping done, and then a call asking why I left, and I explained I thought I had been forgotten as before, and I returned for lab work. I no longer believe someone is coming back. The last time I was at AVMC THIS WEEK, there was not a single person in line. I accidentally entered the queue at the wrong end putting me in the same place I would have been in in any case. I was scolded. Why? Oh, that is right, I'm not a human, I'm part of the system, and didn't go through the cogs correctly. Machines operate without feelings, people can be insulted. But, this is petty. Medical mistakes, and a lack of care don't matter to widgets. The theory is proven. I am not a widget that the AVMC machine is designed to handle. It is time to leave. AVMC is a machine. It is not designed for patients. Keep the cogs turning, put some stuff in nice orderly queues. Great process! You didn't put patients in the design, and when they mistakenly wander in, they interrupt your system. So...lock the doors and run your machine without humans. Otherwise, people needing help will get hurt.

Over several late night visits to AVMC UrgentCare, thanks for their very extended hours from 7am to 11pm, I have always received great, fast and concerned care from AVMC UrgentCare. It's my go to UrgentCare in the Twin Cities due to their very late hours. Dr. Smith has given me great care at least a couple times, and they take your concerns seriously, and have performed any test, bloodwork, or xrays I have requested.

jbsdmoore007 .

Dr. Miller, is a wonderful Dr. He is a very caring physician, that explains to you what you’re dealing with and listens carefully to your concerns. I would highly recommend him if you have a lung issue or sleep apnea.

Travis Berg

Good doctors. Horrible business practices.

Terri Elg

I was very pleased by the speed and efficiency of my last urgent care visit. The lab and script were prompt and the PA was great.

Kimberly Allmann

I am so pleased with my experience at Apple Valley Medical Center. The nurses that have helped me are top notch, and Dr. Steichen is a great doctor. Practical, listens to my concerns, and it fantastic to work with. Thanks, Dr. Steichen and staff, great job!

Glenn Toner

AVM is a great facility with outstanding staff

Jim Lumley

Dr. Jones was terrific as always as was the LPN. I'm sorry I don't remember her name.

Karin Nyberg

Dr. Hett is very polite and professional. She is easy to speak with and understands my issues. I trust her judgment and opinion.

David D. Walgenbach

Exceptional service by service by nurses and medical staff.

Dick Wolterman

Everyone is warm and friendly.

Team Fuhs

Dr Niebeling is the best. I live 20 miles away and will always go to him. Personalized attention to my health!

Lynn H.

Fast and very good care! Kind Dr.

Humberto Gonzalez

Great attention but medicine given did not help

Took my son in for a late Sunday night strep test to Urgent care. Of course there's always a wait, but the front desk staff could not have been more professional ans caring. Trish brought my son a cold rag for his neck and a folded blanket for under his head, just to help keep him comfortable. I just got off the phone with billing, and they were a pleasure as well. I will definitely use them in the future! (Hopefully not often, or soon) ☺

Shirley Grindstaff

The INR clinic is on our list of regular visits, unfortunately; fortunately, the nurses who work there and monitor issues are wonderful people who are thorough in follow-up and with advice. Staff at the front desks are able to call us by name as soon as we enter, check-in is easy, quick, efficient, always pleasant.

Jim LaDoux

Ann and the INR team are great!

Christopher Moore

Don't waste your time or money at this place. The quality of this facility's urgent care clinic has declined shockingly and significantly over the past two years. I don't know if this coincides with the urgent care clinic hours being changed from 24x7 to limited daily hours, but my experiences there with the last three visits over the past year and a half have been absolutely dismal. One on visit, I was advised to go to the emergency room because they didn't feel they could adequately treat me (which makes sense) and I was told that I would not get charged for the visit since I was not treated. But, of course, I was charged. On another visit, the doctor who wandered in looked like he was, at best, only on a nodding acquaintance with a shower and toothbrush. This last visit, though, was the final straw. I went there seeking help for some very intense lower back pain and was immediately and rudely informed by the nurse -- as if I were a raging pain pill addict -- that they don't prescribe pain medication but they would see me anyway (why?). The doctor I saw, who had, by the way, Scotch tape holding in one lens of his glasses and perhaps graduated from med school right after the Civil War ended, also rudely told me that they don't prescribe pain medication and they couldn't help me. He didn't want to listen at all to me describing my symptoms and I actually had to interrupt him twice by saying, "If you would just let me finish and listen to what I am telling you then that might help." He also left in the middle of his "consultation" with me to take a phone call from a radiologist. I have never had that happen at ANY medical facility where I have been treated. The whole experience was shockingly unprofessional and disappointing. That is the last time I ever expect to go back to this place. This used to be a good healthcare provider that was convenient if you lived in Apple Valley, but it is not that anymore. I think the family practice is still a reasonably decent alternative, but save your time and money and avoid the urgent care clinic at Apple Valley Medical. There are better urgent care alternatives available and for more serious problems you will be better off visiting the Emergency Department at Fairview Ridges or, for the best care, Mayo Clinic in Cannon Falls (which is where I ended up going after my last disastrous visit to Apple Valley Medical Urgent Care).

Steve Mouchet

I made my appointment and was seen next day by a specialist. My doctor was very knowledgeable and courteous. We have an excellent plan for my care. I am very satisfied.

Alice Kolinski

The receptionists are awesome! Dr. Orandi and Cheryl are the best. INR Ann is great. I have never received such care from all of the above. Thank you!!

Bobbie Morgan

Dr. Diede is fantastic and always very pleasant. .. her nurse the day I was in... not so much.. didn't even say hi just walked me back and started the initial exam.

Laura Robinson

Broke my foot on a Friday night. AV Medical was great throughout the assessment. I would definitely recommend them.

Richard Ingersoll

Very happy with Dr. Pallas and would recommend him to all.

Barb Farrell

Nurses and schedulers are extremely helpful!

Becky Hansen

It is nice to have a doctor that knows you & your medical history. The wait time is minimal, only thing that is hard is getting an appointment as he is such a great dr. But I schedule out my regular apt otherwise if I need to be seen normally can get in to see someone else. I see Dr. Steiken and his nurse, they always greet me with a smile and are always genuine on how I’m doing. I would recommend AV Medical Center.

Abhishek Reddy Chamakura

Great service.

Don Leonard

My first time with new doctor for a Medicare Wellness Exam. All went well.

Mike Sonen

My son and I had an appointment tonight at 6 it’s now 7 and we have not even seen the dr yet. It seems like this is a consistent issue here. The nurse was disgruntled and not friendly. The nurses response was like yep... we’re running a little late. A dr literally told me he is only allowed to talk to us for 15 minutes before he has to go to the next room. We’re cattle to them. Update: They had the audacity to bill me almost $200 for an office visit. We didn’t even see the doctor!!

Paul Clemensen

I had a very good experience last week when I went to the Apple Valley Medical Center. My doctor was on time and I got in right away at the lab and the radiology department. Dr. Diede was very thorough.

carol miller

Dr very thorough, explained everything so I understood clearly. very patient and spent good amt of time with me very reassuring. very good doctor

Saydi Booth

Definitely do not recommend coming here. Went in to urgent care Sunday for a UTI and was given an antibiotic. Started taking it and had the worst reaction ever migraine and nausea and vomiting. I called and was told my doctor would be in at 2pm and a note would be left for her to call me and I called again at 4pm and the nurse said the doctor doesn’t check her messages until the end of her shift which is 7pm. I just called again and my doctor left a note for the nurse to call me and no one ever did. I had to call to find out what was going on. Lack of communication when a patient is having medication reaction is not what I’m looking for in a hospital. Once my new antibiotic is prescribed and I’m done with this UTI I won’t be going back. Update: my antibiotic was never sent to my pharmacy like I was promised by the night staff. I had to call and have someone send it over.

joe pluta

Took over 3 hours to get a dot physical place is a joke.

Matt Wuest

They overbook appointments like an airport overbook flights. Its all about money here. Waited 40 minutes after being put in a room the last 3 times I've been in. Sent to TRIA one time for a big sliver (that eventually an older doctor at AV took out in 5 minutes.). Nice kickback I bet. Had a DOT physical a month ago. Told doc I was ready to quit smoking. She recommended chantix, but I had to make another appointment so it could be billed correctly for a prescription. Made another appointment and was told by the same doctor that DOT people can not take chantix.

Maia Prince

I have been going here since I was a young child, and its honestly horrible. Doctors are incompetent and can never diagnose the problem even If its self evident. They require you make multiple visits just to solve one issue. Each doctor has their own agenda so you have to hop doctor to doctor. I dont want to make three visits just to have myself self diagnose bronchitis... the Bill's are extremely expensive, so maybe that's why the new waiting area is so nice looking.

grace abbey

My experience that nice was very great.Despite a every waiting time everything was perfect. You ❤.

Phil Sundberg

Typical clinic with typical waiting times. People shouldn't be surprised. Too bad the recent remodel resulted in such a poorly designed admitting and waiting area. Temporary signs are still posted to clarify where to go for check in, Urgent Care or even the restrooms....

Nou Larson

Very poor service, sucks, & long wait time to get in to see the doctor. And when I get in the room, I still have to wait a long time. Last night, I spent 11/2 to be treated for UTI & my test wasn't ready.

Chris Hall

The nurses and physicians are fantastic, but the receptionists are straight up the worst. I've been trying to make an appointment for a week and all I've gotten is voicemail. If you call in, expect to be on hold for about 10 minutes.

Alicia Oien

We took our daughter to urgent care and the only staff that was kind to us was the front desk person. We waited over an hour and people that check in after us were seen before us. The nurse and the doctor seemed annoyed that they had to be there. We definitely will not be going there ever again.

chris nelson

Dr. Orandi and Nurse Sheryl were very professional, helpful, and kind on my visit. I am very grateful for the time and expertise they gave me in a procedure. The issue was completely resolved. Thank you so much.

Lance Kapps

Very fast and friendly staff.

C Burns

This is the best clinic I have ever received care at. Dr. Orandi and her Nurse Cheryl always provide top notch care. I never feel rushed by Dr. Orandi and always feel heard! I have no doubt that she is genuinely concerned about my health. All of the staff at AVMC are fantastic! From the greeter, front desk staff, lab staff and everyone else who has a part in making this clinic the BEST one!

Dian Bauer

Dr. Orandi as usual, listens to issues regarding my health and gives suggestions to help me.

Karen Wild

Dr Pallas is very caring and knowledgeable!!

Ed Mueller

Dr Steichen always takes the time to listen to everything you have to say and answers all of your questions. That is a rare quality in doctors today. I have referred many patients to him over the 20+ years I have been seeing him.

Rod Hosman

Excellent Doctor. Very good at listening and solutions. Recommend highly!

Tesfaye Jaleta

I always get the best service at Apple Valley Medical Center. My health problems goes away after getting treated by health professionals, who works for this Medial Center. I have to take off my hat particular for Dr. Peter Fredrickson!

Tom Clay

Dr Neibling is a physician that cares about his patients. I have been seeing him for years.

TYNeed hlep

Waited for 45 min in waiting room and another 30 min in the patient room before anyone see my daughter

Loree Duerschmidt

I love this clinic all the doctors I have seen have been very informative.

Dani Thompson

This place doesnt listen to or care about their patients, i went into their urgent care with stomach pains and the whole time i was describing my symptoms the lady was glarring at me with a "why are you wasting my time with this" look and sent me home saying it was "just cramps". The following morning i had to have my dad rush me to the ER with so severe abdomen pain that I couldnt walk and was puking until nothing but foamy stomach acid was left, my appendix was swollen to 3x its usual size and had to be removed. (It was later found that i had a tumor in my appendix) Honestly in all the times ive gone here i have never once gotten any legitimate care from their "urgent care" center and would rather suggest going to the oldest lady on your block for better treatment advice.

Sara

I went in yesterday and had to wait over 30 minutes to be brought to a room. Had to wait another hour to be seen by the doctor who didn’t really seem to care about symptoms but more worried about how “swamped” they were in her words. I had to listen to a lot of nurses and doctors saying some horrible things about their pateints as the nursing station was right outside of my room which is unexceptable. The nurse gave me a flu swab and sent me away with a “viral infection” diagnosis. I knew something was worse so I went into the Urgency Room right after to be treated with such professionalism, care and kindness. I was also diagnosed with pneumonia within 30 minutes. I am baffled by how this place is still up and running as this is the third time I have been there and had to go directly to another place to get the real diagnosis.

bow one

The appointment was to discuss left leg sciatic pain. Doctor Stiechen paid close attention to my symptom descriptions and IMHO completed a thorough physical check. Additionally he provided an anti-inflammatory perscription reccomendation, continued mild stretching, and continued activity. Hopeful the medication and physical activities will provide some relief. Very satisfied with my visit.

Tab Matters

They were not busy, but I still ended up waiting an hour and 1/2 to see a doctor, who spent a total of 5 minutes with me while looking very disinterested. tossed prescription at me as the was leaving. It was 7pm on a Sunday. So no other real option at the time. But next I will go to the emergency room or just suffer til my regular clinic opens.

Kevin Bowar

Dr Troedson listens well, and works to find a good solution!

Vann Rogers

Didn't have to wait very long to be seen by the doctor and was back out in no time.

Christine Gile

Even if I didn’t leave with the answers to why I was feeling off - I feel comfortable knowing that everything was checked and cane back normal! Everyone was kind and thorough.

Golden Sonlite

Was Better Before - too much branching out not enough focus on the individual patient. Wires always getting crossed when the doctors try to coordinate patient care. Front staff are very nice. Patient care is losing out here to trying to cover too many bases with too many patient options. Urgent Care is way behind the local ER and inadequately staffed, IMO.

MiCHaeL JaMeS

My wife and I have been patients for several years and are very happy with The Apple Valley Medical Center and their staff!

Patricia Fenelon

Went on a Sunday morning to Urgent Care with lower back pain that made it almost impossible to move. Not one person offered to help me; never was offered a wheel chair, tho it was clear I was in extreme pain. That day it was a 10 out of 10. Receptionists were friendly, but oblivious to the pain I was in. The nurse in Urgent Care was kind. The doctor was horrible. I was trying to plug in my phone in case I needed to call my son; the doctor came in and snapped, "Put that down and stand up!" Then, "Turn around!" I would't talk to a dog the way he talked to me. He asked me to show him where it hurt, and when I used my fingers to show him, he barked, "Not the whole hand; show me with your finger!" Made me WALK to xray; again NO concern for the extreme pain I was in. After he looked at the xray and saw arthritis and scoliosis in my spine, he was a little nicer. Gave me an RX for muscle relaxers and told me to follow up with my doctor. He appeared to hate his job and to hate having to be there on a Sunday morning. He was so rude and mean. I called Monday to complain about my visit; never got a call back. I will NEVER go back.

zekenerski .

I always get in on time. The doctors are knowledgeable and attentive. I feel like my health is in great hands.

ER DAVIS

Not a long wait. Everyone was pleasant and friendly.

Kathleen Kelly

I've been coming here for over 20 years & have moved out of the neighborhood but still drive down to go here

Jonathon Baumann

My girlfriend got hives and her face started to swell up. Since she has never dealt with this situation before, she started to get really worked and nervous about it. We came here late around 10:30 or so, the young woman at the front desk was extremely friendly. My girlfriend said that everyone there was very friendly and inviting. Just an overall great experience. Nice people at this location, I recommend.

Gene Splinter

Very caring for my health and we'll being, but also efficient use of time.

Rose Basnett

Staff is very caring and the doctor in Urgent Care was amazing.

Ashley King

I had a not great experience and wasn’t going to leave the review until I got my statement in the mail. I figured I would leave this as a warning to anyone using the urgent care services. I took my son in to get a strep test. I decided to also get one as well. First of all, they didn’t tell me that I had to stay for 45 minutes for the results, but we did. They refused to call with the results. I had to wait from 4pm-7:30pm for a strep culture with a 1.5 year old. Super fun. Also, when I got the bill they added on a $200 new patient fee. The bill was $400+ (an extra $200 per person for establishment of care... in the urgent care???) for a throat culture ($163 each for the culture). I will stick with the minute clinic or Allina from now on for my urgent care services. So ridiculous.

mila krause

I’ve been going to Apple Valley Medical Clinic for many years and I’m always pleased with the results. Their doctors, nurses and staff are always pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable with the problems I have had.

Jeff Gintz

They are experiencing growing pains the last few years. Actually, before that they had new management and it went from a quaint medical facility that felt like the best of both worlds (small town service, big town facility) to all about the money. The last year they seem to have come back to earth and realized they cannot treat long term customers like another number. Dr. Steichen is awesome, I am glad I found him. He cares about his patients and has a great bedside manner. I would have given 5 stars except they no longer have 24 hour urgent care. Apple Valley Medical Center is an essential member of Apple Valley and hopefully they can return to their former glory. Right now, it's a good place if you can find the right doctor.

Fred Cook

I came in for a follow-up immunization shot. The whole process was very easy and quick. The medical specialist was courteous and efficient!

Joel Tofteland

Appointment on time and the medical team addressed my concerns.

Geo Samp

We are so fortunate to have this clinic so close to us. We have been going there for many years. The service has always been excellent. We love you guys!!!

Bryan Aslesen

Friendly staff and doctor, even though the office was busy. Quickest and most painless blood drawing I've ever had.

Nathan Fedora

Called last week to schedule an appointment with an ENT. When I showed up today for my appointment, they said I was scheduled with a regular Dr, not an ENT, and the scheduling desk has made this mistake before too. Now I have to rearrange my schedule and take another day off work. Needless to say, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Terrible customer service!

Kirsten Storlie

I’ve always had positive experiences at AVMC-have been a patient for 20 years. But my most recent visit with Tammy Johnston, nurse practitioner, was the best yet. She was thorough and professional and friendly. I would highly recommend her to anyone, anytime.

Rikki Hasti

Tammy Johnston is the best doctor i have ever seen at this location in a long time and i have been coming here since i was a little kid. She truly goes above and beyond for her patients and thats rare now a days.

Fred Puente

Always an easy visit with my long-time primary care physician Dr. Frederixon. Courteous reception staff and always efficient service with minimum wait times in reception plus after initial vitals screening by doctor’s assistant and waiting for doctor to enter the exam room. I do a routine visit and labs every six months and almost always in and out in under one hour. Dr. Frederixon never seems rushed and always polite and respectful during our time together. After over 20 years as patients my wife and are are always ready to recommend AVMC to new neighbors and friends looking for great medical care. Small gestures make big impressions. Example: After my exam and time with Dr. Frederixon, he will take the time to walk with me to the Lab. Reception area and makes sure I am checked in there. Nice touch for a busy doctor.

I saw Tammy Johnson P.A. And she was very thorough in finding out what was the cause of my pain. Very kind and understanding, lots of time spent.

New patient appointment was amazing. Doctors here really do care about your health!

Jen Kamiel

Every time the wait is a minimum of 30-45 min. Change the scheduling system!

Peter Olson

Nice facility, friendly doctors. My only complaint is that these doctors don’t really care about their patients. Someone close to me visited this exact location for severe headaches only to be prescribed Aleve before suffering from a severe stroke. I went in myself for fear of heart problems only to be given the same result. If you fear you may have a serious medical problem, I highly suggest taking your issue elsewhere. The medical professionals at AVMC either don’t care, or are too busy to take the time to understand. Go there for your flu, but not your chest pains. Really a fluke of a practice.

Dan

This clinic used to be great. Now you can't get to the doctors you need to help treat you. It's hard to contact a doctor without an appointment.

Amanda Gayder

Horrible wait times , kids screaming from waiting so long . Doctors and nurses dont seem to be on the same page.

Shirley Willetts

I have been going there for years. Convince is important with everything under one roof. From the time I walk through the main door, to the reception desk, sit down open a magazine I am usually called. My doctor is easy to talk to and caring I never feel rushed and I no I am in good hands. Staff are all friendly and the newly decorated waiting area is bright and cheerful.

Brenda Gutierrez

Always given the best service from the medical staff at Apple Valley Medical Center.

Candyce Anderson

I visit the skin clinic on a regular basis. Since I've started I've noticed my skin looks better and I don't have the breakouts that I had previously.

Debra Leisdon

Will be looking for a new clinic. I have copd and take daily meds. The first year there the doctor refused to refill until I came in. It was less than a year and because of that not covered by insurance. I said I would not pay for the unnecessary appointment. None of my meds require Med checks. I got sick and was turned down by the urgent care because of this $200 balance. Now I can’t even get an appointment for my annual and will not be able to refill meds. They care more about $200 than the health of their patients.

Susan Houghton

I was very satisfied with my visit. But, I have not received the results of my blood test yet.

Will Powers

Bah. Short wait time at 7am, went in, asked the doctor to see what my sickness was. She was confused on what it could be and said it was a virus and I would be fine. Seemed like it was a guess on what I had.

Deborah Smith

I love AVMC. I have always had a good experience there for over 20 years!

Hi Doctor Holly Hett has been my doctor since i moved to Apple Valley about 10 years ago, I have had very professional and compassionate care from her and AVMC. I love her personal and trustful approach to my care. My wife Mary is cared for by Doctor Hett and feels same too. AVMC is the perfect fit in our busy lives and makes it easy to get appointments when we need them, we are very happy with AVMC and our doctor. Thank You AVMC staff, we appreciate you. Mickey and Mary Ewing

Dr. Orandi is such a good doctor. She is thorough, has great bedside manner and is easy to talk to. I know I am in good hands with her caring for my medical needs.

Megan Bornholdt

Natalie Patusch is simply the best. She listens very good to her clients, helps with various options for treatment and is very thorough.

ANNE

Tried to give this place many chances and each time I leave feeling disappointed. I went to see a female doctor because I am more comfortable with a female doctor and she comes in with a male who types for her. So now I need to show her areas of my body and she expects me to strip in front of him and her. WTF???!!! In the end I basically went in to be told nothing I didn't already know, with the same health issue I had, nothing solved and over $200 less in my pocket, not to mention feeling sick to my stomach for the experience. My husband stopped going after his experience last year and this has been my LAST time there! This last experience left me feeling completely disgusted and done with Apple Valley Medical Clinic!

Joseph McCormack

Had a great experience with AVMC on my most recent visit. Did not wait long and had great customer service.

Terry Gustafson

Dr. Frederixon is wonderful. I have been seeing him since the 80s. He cares about his patients and provides the best medical care.

Deb Thompson

Dr. Sreichen and his staff are thoroughly professional, kind and caring. He has been my doctor for almost twenty years and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for medical Care.

Sri Rs

I had to take my son for multiple urgent care visits and always happy with the result. The staff was very friendly and the doctors were good with patience.

Lori Johnson

I had xray and visit with Matt for post-op check, I was in and out and treated with great respect from entering to exiting. Thank you! All clinics should be like this!

Luke Grothe

The doctors and front desk staff have always been incredibly professional and helpful.

Mary Jo Prinsen

Very disappointing care at the Urgent Care Friday for severe pain of family member. 2 basic lab tests, no scans, about 5 seconds for doctor's exam. Sent home, offered no pain relief, told to go to the ER if it gets worse (which is where we ended up less than 12 hours later). Did not listen to either of us. We seemed to be an inconvenience. We will not be returning to this urgent care in the future.

Lauren Diede

I received laser services. The staff was professional and very friendly. The procedure was explained very well. Overall it was an excellent visit, a very well deserved 5 star rating.

Peggy Scholberg

The MDs are so wise at this clinic and have so much good advice. My physician really cares about my health and my unique situation.

James Quist

Dr. Troedson best ever. Understands the more mature patient. Great bedside manner during office visits. Takes the time to make sure that you have a good understanding of diagnosis.

L.J. Lulf

Dr. Diede is always so caring and gentle with my wife, who suffers from dementia.

Gary Larson

4 star only because of computer problems.

Leslie Henschel

Love my new doc but been waiting in pain since 9/11 for my Rx to be called in! Why the wait?

Michelle Nwabudike

Dr Sipple listened to all of my concerns and I feel hopeful with plan of care.

ann l

I have been going to this medical center for nearly 20 years 90% of those years is with 1 Dr. Dr. Steichen has always treated me with respect, he has always listened to my concerns and has never let me down regarding my medical needs or anything else for that matter. In my opinion there is not a better run facility in the south metro!

Rick Perron

I have had nothing but good experiences with this facility.

Wolf man

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Steichen. Both Dr. Steichen and his nurse have always listen to my health concerns and recommend appropiate treatments.

I have been going to the AVMC since 1976. Obviously I am very satisfied with the doctors and their friendly and professional staff. They are the best! I always feel comfortable and never rushed. Thank you.

Ashley Spaulding

I thought the whole staff there was super friendly to me and my daughter! The nurse and doctor were awesome and figured out what was going on with me!

Kellie Paquette

Molly and Andrea are amazing and you can truly tell that they love what they do.

Brenda Thorstad

This is a great UC (Urgent Care) medical center. The check staff are extremely polite and patient. They offer free coffee and have a nice cafe. The waiting room is very comfortable. Our wait times vary but for the most part we have not waited too long. The medical staff is great!!

Iris G
