My father almost died to to lack of communication and lack of urgency between transfer of UofM dental to hematology. Terrible experience for him, along with my family. Thank God Moffitt Canter Center in Tampa, FL was able to expedite admitting my father down and he is currently admitted at Moffitt in critical condition. UofM kept saying they would call him to schedule an appointment and never did, and when he would call to follow up would never receive a phone call back. This went on for 3 weeks before we decided we no longer trusted the care he would receive at UofM. That’s when we decided to fly him down to Moffitt in Tampa. Upon admitting, the team of Doctors at Moffitt said my father would have died if he would have gone another day without care. He is currently still to sick to even start chemotherapy. I would never recommend trusting your loved one with cancer at UofM dental or hematology! My father is fighting for his life due to the wasted time spent “waiting” for someone to schedule an appointment and get his treatment started. We are still praying for him.

If for whatever reason you're trying to decide whether or not to get your cancer treatment at U of M by looking at these reviews, look no further. U of M staff never gave up on someone important to me despite incredible odds with stage IV cancer, and I truly believe their expertise (with luck and god, of course) is the only reason he's made it into remission. I can't think of a place I'd trust more with my life.
