I went to them in the beginning of the year to get a scar treatment. Right off the bat they said there was nothing they could do, that I needed to go to a plastic surgeon. Yet as soon as I went to another dermatologist they hooked me up with a laser treatment that greatly improved my scar. I looked at Oakland Hills Dermatology website and saw they have the same treatments that were offered to me elsewhere. I honestly do not understand why they would refuse a client so blatantly like that

Kim was very kind and professional in helping me with an issue I had . I saw Michelle today for a BBL treatment and she was super sweet and kind. She was so enthusiastic about how well the treatment was going to work for me which made me excited. The doctor I saw didn't even get close to me to let me know what the rash was on my ankle. Just said "he'd give me a prescription". I asked about my thinning hair. He took his IPAD and looked like he took a picture of my head. Didn't look around, explain anything, just "I'll give you a prescription ". I bet my insurance is going to be billed a healthy amount and I learned nothing. Not going for follow up. Looking for a dermatologist that cares.

Saw Buatti at OHD to have a small ice-pick scar on my cheek removed by punch excision. Alas, despite all efforts on my part, the stitches did not hold. After three weeks, & after realizing that the procedure was a complete failure (in fact, not just a failure, but that I looked twenty times worse), I scheduled an appointment to see Buatti in order to assess what went wrong & what could be done about it. Buatti looked at my face & agreed that the procedure failed. & as far as what could be done about it, he said we would unfortunately have to wait several weeks for the wound to completely heal before anything further could be done. I sighed & thanked him & left the office. A few weeks later I moved to Vermont. I went to a plastic surgeon here & he tried to fix the devastation done to my face. Turns out, though, that too much flesh had been hacked out by Buatti. Two failed operations by the plastic surgeon led me to finally getting temporary dermal fillers.These have made me feel comfortable enough to remove the band-aid that I've been wearing for the past several months. When lo & behold I get a bill in the mail for $112, three months after seeing Buatti & (coincidentally?) shortly after posting online a negative review of my experience. I immediately called the office & said that there must be some mistake. The receptionist said that the charge was for the last office visit (where Buatti simply look at my disfigured face) & that "they" were well aware of the negative review I had written (I believe you can still find this review in the reviews section) & that maybe the charge would be waived if I agreed to change or delete my review. THIS IS A TRUE STORY. On principal, I declined. But it turns out that there's little I can do now about this bill. & it kills me to think that this Buatti guy, with my money, has dined out at fancy restaurants & toasted the high life while I've been embarrassed to even leave my house. & then to bill me in such a crooked manner! UPDATE: I see that somebody at OHD has commented on my review, obviously in order to save face. First of all, there is nothing "ironic" about the timing & prevalence of my reviews here & elsewhere. Somebody needs to look up the definition of IRONY. Secondly, I've been informed that this $112 bill is for an office visitation & consultation. But wouldn't this visit normally be considered a follow-up, &, as such, free? Or if it's somehow not considered a follow-up, then wouldn't it be a free consultation to a possible future service, similarly as it had been my first time around? Or how about this: Shouldn't it have been free seeing as I am likely permanently disfigured by the hack-job Buatti did to my face? Also, why was I not informed of the charge at the time of my visit? The woman I talked to on the phone about this matter was well aware that my insurance did not cover cosmetics & that I had paid upfront and out-of-pocket for the punch excision. Why did I not have to pay up-front for this last visit? & why was I not informed of the charge at that time? Thirdly, it is stated that I declined "against medical advice" a skin treatment plan that would improve my overall appearance. The "plan" that was advised (or rather sales-pitched) was to have laser treatment, which, besides costing $1500, is in fact NOT an effective treatment for ice-pick scars. Punch excisions ARE (if, of course, done competently). Hence my choice of the latter. & lastly, with respect to this blatant lie, abhorrent as ever I've seen, suggesting that it was I who proposed to delete my original review (again, see the reviews section) if OHD would waive my charge. & then to go on about "breaking hipaa" & lecturing about ethics. It's two-faced & it's shameful & it's disgusting. I do hope that Somebody responds to this update & identifies his- or herself. I want to know exactly who this person is. I also intend to refresh this review, & others, every time I receive this bill in the mail. My credit shall not be injured, nor shall I abide such vile deceit, without some measure of vengeance.

I saw Dr. Buatti for about 2 years. I always thought that he did a decent job and I was in and out of the office pretty quickly everytime. The reason for my low rating was recently Dr. Buatti started me on an oral medication, this medication caused me to get lightheaded and pass out one day while at work, also on this day I was scheduled a follow up at his office. While I was at the hospital I called the office and told them I wouldn’t be making it, explaining the situation to the receptionist and even telling her that the doctor that examined me told me it was likely due to the medication I was prescribed from that office. After all that I received a bill in the mail for a no show fee! I refuse to give any more business to an office that does not show compassion to people who can’t make their appointment due to unforeseen circumstances.

They truly take the time to get to know you and what your needs are before they treat you. The hours are very convenient and the billing is so straight forward. My warts is getting even worse after receiving 5 times freeze, more than that, they even charge an unexisting office visit. They tried to sell a product to me and they considered it as a office visit!!! I tried to phone the manager to ask for an explanation for many times, even though she responded to me eventually, her attitude was so rude and insisted they billed correctly. Very unprofessional medical service and terrible customer experiences. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

They sold me a bunch of their own brand beauty products when I came in for clinical dermatology assistance, insuring they were better than any of the prescriptions I’ve ever had. They actually irritated my skin so bad I had to throw them out. Less then a month later I went to a reputable dermatologist and a spot I had asked about and was ignored by their staff was diagnosed as Basal cell cancer. I was disgusted by the blatant money grubbing a small vein on my face they were going to charge me thousands to remove was removed by the other dermatologist at no charge since it was so small. This place is not a clinical office they are basically a strip mall beauty salon in an office building.

Great Drs and staff! Came to the office for a cosmetic consultation to get rid of years of tanning and no sunscreen. Just wanted to get some advice on my daily skin care routine and maybe a service to help correct the sun damage. The front staff fit me in within the week to have a free cosmetic consultation. The Aestheticians and Doctors really care about their patients and made me feel super comfortable . I'm scheduled for a BBL treatment soon and I couldn't be more excited! I had BBL done with Michelle the medical esthetician. The results that I received were better then I could have imagined them to be. My main focus was on my freckles and discoloration. I have debated about doing this for a couple years, and more serious for the last year. Did my research and knew that I could trust Oakland Hills Dermatology. I traveled over a hour to make sure that I was getting the best of the best. I have had two treatments and have had amazing results. My husband was very skeptical on if this would make a difference and he was shocked. He has only known me with freckles and discoloration and was surprised to see that it really worked and did what it said it was going to do. The staff was great, the wait time was very minimal if any. Clean office with the latest technology. I have been following Jessica the PA’s work and when the time is right I will be making the trip to see her.

I have been to several other Dermatologists and I felt that Dr. Buatti really cared and listened to me. His staff was able to schedule my appointment for the same day with no wait time. I had a lot of pigmentation on my face from both sun damage and pregnancy melasma. I was always embarrassed to leave the house without makeup. I had the halo laser treatment followed by bbl laser treatment. My face is almost 100% clear of pigmentation. It is amazing. For the first time in forever, I can leave the house without makeup. I’ll be honest - the halo laser hurts (I thought the bbl was easier), but it was completely worth it when I saw the results. My skin looks like it did in college. Please note that the lasers bring the pigmentation to the surface and then as the top layer of your skin flakes off it removes the pigmentation. So you may look worse before you look better. But I couldn’t be happier with the results. Michelle handled my appointments and she is the best. She also recommended skin products that make my skin feel great and will help prevent future damage. I highly recommend this business and I’m so glad I went here.

He was attentive (as was his entire staff), we did not feel rushed and we were in and out in a very reasonable time. I would rate this place 0 stars if I could. My initial visit they told me to come back within a month. I explained to them that I work and I don’t have time to come in, they told me IF I CAME ON TIME they would take me right in. I came in at 1015 at the time my appointment was made, and they left me in an an office until 11AM. I complained twice that I needed to get to work, they told me I was next after the next patient. What is the point to book me for 1015 appointment if you’re going to help me at 11:00+ this place is ridiculous

Shady business practices. Over charging customers. We missed a bill because my husband was working out of town. we found out it went to collections when it was way under a year and the office staff specifically told us not to worry about it after we asked and were trying to figure it out with our insurance company. They charged us, and claim it is their practice, 50% of our bill as a fee when it went to collection because they feel its appropriate to put the financial burden of their engagement with said collection company on THEIR PATIENTS. NEVER in my life have I experienced this. After calling and trying to get a hold of the office manager for weeks, we finally got a hold of her and she was rude and not willing to work ANYTHING out even though we wanted to pay our full balance minus their UNFAIR and ridiculous fee that NO OTHER DOCTORS OFFICE charges!!! Be careful if you choose to be a patient here. Also I've noticed that their tactic here seems to be that anyone that leaves a bad review they claim they aren't a patient of the practice or they reviewed the wrong practice. Hes been a patient at Oakland Hills Dermatology in Auburn Hills, MI for over a year.

I was nervous about seeing a dermatologist for the first time, but felt welcomed and at ease as soon as I walked through the door. The dermatologist, PA, and entire staff were extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I came in for a mole check, but also learned that they offer an array of other cosmetic procedures and products to help with other issues that I was also concerned with. I felt that they spent a lot of time with me and showed me that they genuinely cared about my concerns. I am so excited to try the amazing products and plan on referring my friends and family to this wonderful practice.

Recently just finished my Accuatne journey!!! It was a long and intensely busy couple of months from having to follow the strict guidelines to obtain and maintain my scrip to having to commute over an hour and half to my appointments once a month. But this office was amazing through the whole process and well worth the drive. I am so happy with my results and bummed I didn't find them soon to start this treatment. I want so much to give them more stars. They are so friendly until you ask if you can return some of the skin products they sold you. I tried the very expensive products once and saw immediately how it was too many products for a quick routine. I was hoping to meet them half way and just return a few. I was upfront with them explaining the situation and taking my responsibility as to having made a mistake in purchasing all of the product they laid out on the counter and said I would need. The dermatologist got very defensive as did the office manager. The dermotologist actually said it would be a shame if the practice had to loose money on returning product, said next time I shouldn't buy something I didn't want and claimed they never suggested that I buy the whole line. They could have met me half way or if refusing to bend they could have at least done it with respect to the paying customer. I'm not sure they realize it is the customer who makes them all of that money. Girls at front desk were helpful.

About 3 weeks ago a suspicious spot showed up on my cheek and it wasn't healing. I got in to see Dr. Buatti quickly, he biopsied the spot, as he was concerned with it being a skin cancer. My results came back quickly and he was right. Not only did he diagnose the issue promptly, but got me scheduled for the MOHS procedure with him, almost immediately. I'm now cancer free, after my surgery today! Thank you, Dr. Buatti and staff!

I came in for 1 specific thing, but he allowed me to express my concerns of other derm issues and helped take care of those too. It was awesome! I thought I would maybe have to schedule another appointment to get that type of care, but instead he took his time with me. His resident was extremely caring and nice as well. The nurse (I belive that was her position) was so friendly too. We talked about football tailgates while she numbed my neck and it didn't hurt at all!

I finally found a doctor who truly cares about his patients! For starters, the staff was kind, attentive, and fast. They worked around my schedule to get me in for an appointment. I was then placed in the room to see Dr. Buatti- where he introduced himself to me and then allowed me to patiently explain why I came in. What I appreciate most is Dr. Buatti took his time. I didn't feel rushed as I normally do when I go see a physician. I wish all doctors took their time with me the way he did. I have been seeing this Doctor for over a year now and my acne has cleared significantly. This doctor is very knowledgeable about his field, takes pride in his work, and cares passionately about his patients. He comes highly recommended and his environment is very welcoming and helpful. The whole process was easy, thorough and I was able to have all my questions answered and have a biopsy done right then. Dr. Buatti is very nice, however I saw this man several times and got no relief. I have severe eczema flare ups, I asked for Elacon cream (something that has worked for me in the past) and was told no he was giving me something stronger, 3 visits later and 3 different prescriptions from him and still no relief. Went to urgent care and got some elacon, solved the problem within hours. I had been miserable for months bc of this man and his arrogance. The front office is also incompetent, constantly unsure of my insurance amounts to be payed, constantly telling me I owe them money when I paid out of pocket for each visit. So I stopped going, and then they had the nerve to charge me a $25 dollar no show fee for my last appointment, meanwhile your whole office is a mess. Find someone else if you want your concerns to be heard.

I don't normally write reviews but thought I would write one today to supply an honest overview of how my treatment has been at this practice. I've been a patient here for over two years. In all this time, I've experienced nothing but utter professionalism. The staff and providers all pride themselves on white glove service and that's exactly what I receive during my visits. In fact, I was accidentally overcharged on one occasion and before I even realized it, they reversed the charge and credited me the difference. I'm a business professional and I trust only this practice for my facial injections. There's a reason the practice of medicine is considered an art form and, just like everything else in life, you get what you pay for. When it comes to aesthetic injectables, I understand that I'm not just purchasing a product. I'm also paying for the expertise of the person injecting it. Quite frankly, this is my face they're injecting. It's the first thing people see when they notice me. I don't want to look dramatically different or like I've had "work" done (or worse...for a mistake to be made). It takes a true artist to inject just the right amount of filler in the correct places for a subtle effect. I don't know about you, but I don't want it to be completely obvious that I've gone in for scheduled maintenance, nor do I want that appointment to necessitate downtime. When I come here, I know that's not gong to happen. I won't need a three day weekend for swelling to resolve because I won't look swollen after treatments here. How I will look is refreshed, youthful and well rested. (Who gets enough sleep? Not me! Win, win, win.) The only thing left to add is that the prices are fair and below market. I appreciate a deal just like we all do and I can say that I've gotten incredible deals here! Did you know when they run discounts that you can bank product to use later when you need it? That's what I do and it saves me a ton of money. If you're knowledgable about what these products cost and what to reasonably expect to pay, you'll be a satisfied customer. But, remember, you truly do get what you pay for. If your injectables are significantly cheaper than the market average, then you should wonder if what you just purchased has been diluted or if it's expired. We're all busy people and time is money. I can't afford to buy an inferior product only to have it retouched sooner than necessary due to those issues, just like I can't afford to have a less skilled practitioner "practice" on my face. I scheduled an appointment for my boyfriend, and the receptionist on the phone was polite and helpful. She even directed me to the website to pre-fill out the history form. When my boyfriend showed up for his 8am appointment with pre-filled out paperwork in hand, however, he sat in the waiting room until 8:41 with no mention of seeing the doctor anytime soon. He finally inquired about the doctor's schedule and him running late, mentioning that he had an 8am appointment and that the doctor should respect his patients' appointment times and schedules rather than drink coffee and gossip with staff. A woman in the waiting room overheard his complaints and said, "It's always like this." The receptionist asked my boyfriend to wait a moment while she grabbed the doctor. The doctor came out and mentioned that he could see my boyfriend for his appointment right away. My boyfriend declined the offer and walked out of the office without rescheduling and without being seen. Bottom line- the doc is young, not punctual and you better pack a lunch if you plan on seeing him. You'll be waiting far past your scheduled appointment time.

If you're are early, you'll have to wait sometimes 15 minutes for your appointment. If you're late 5 minutes for your appointment, they will show attitude and ask to reschedule. UPDATE after office’s comment that they don't see my name in their books: If you don’t see this name, is it enough to conclude that I don’t come at this office? I chauffeur my wife here. Leave managers number next time in reviews to address cusomers’ concerns rather than thinking that they have wrong office. Secondly, I left the review after my experience on a day when snow storm warning was in effect. The person did not even have regard for driving conditions before they asked to reschedule. It is not the usual but an every visit 15-20minute wait time that I am complaining about. My complain is why the front desk person asked to reschedule and did NOT accommodate customer when they were just 5 minutes late and that too on a snow storm day!

I wouldn’t recommend this place for fillers or Botox. I spoke to Michelle on the phone who was helpful. Then went in the office for the injections with someone else and had a less than positive experience. I won’t say injectors name or critique her character on a public forum, maybe she was just having a bad day, but in addition to the bad experience, pricing was inconsistent. Ex: Laughed when I mentioned a special on juvederm, told me they would never have a discount on juvederm and then later mentioned they’re having a $50 special in April. seeing a trend of the office responding to poor reviews in attempt to discredit them so it’s not worth going into further details. Ultimately, if you’re looking for filler/Botox avoid the hassle and go to Vixen Asthetics in Utica. They’re the best. If u can’t get in at Vixen, next best is Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery.

Had a great experience with the staff and doctor today at this location. The receptionist was so friendly and helpful, I had one issue with a person in the waiting room who was rude and kept staring at us constantly! You could definitely tell she was very insecure about herself and that her husband hasn't been attracted to her for quite awhile. I have had family members who's had biopsy treatments and Comestic issues and I must admit their face has went from broke out and bumpy to clean and clean. I have been dealing with a contact dermatitis on the palm of my hands for the last 35 years or so. It has been an ongoing painful battle and I have seen a multitude of dermatologists over the years. I have been put on every topical steroid known to man to no avail. I have recently moved to MI and thought I would try one more doctor and found Dr Buatti through my BCBS insurance network. As I type this my hands are clear and have been for the last couple months. I am on a daily medication, a topical steroid and hand creme and will start light therapy next week as a precaution. The doctor and his staff are wonderful, caring people and make you feel that you are their only patient and it has been very easy setting appointments. The office is welcoming and you are instantly put at ease.

Autumn Green, PA-C took the time to really listen to what I had to say in regards to my skin issue. She seemed genuinely interested in helping me. After asking a few questions and looking at my face, she was able to diagnose my problem and recommend some topical creams. I asked for creams without parabens, phthalates and hormone disruptors. She paid attention to my request and gave me several samples for each cream so that I could try them out. I’ve tried several creams without success so it’s nice not to have to pay for a prescription right away, but to be able to try enough samples before making a decision. She also told me to give her a call back if the creams didn’t suit me before my next appointment. So far, I don’t know if the topical creams will work, but I know that there are other options if they don’t. I definitely recommend Autumn Green, PA-C for her genuine interest and professionalism.
