.Excellent care received at Mali and Mali. Our kids have been with this practice since 3 weeks of age (10 years ago). It's where our doctors take their kids. We started with Dr. Vic (son) but routinely see another. Dr. Vic was excellent as is our current Ped. They keep separate well and sick areas of the waiting room but be aware not all parents work diligently to keep their kids in the corresponding section. There is anti-bacterial soap around...use it.

Decent group of doctors. The problem is getting to see them. Always running way behind. Half hour to forty five minutes is not out of the normal for them. Horrible service at the front counter when basically they just say oh well, they will get to you.

This group is truly amazing!

Only giving a 1 star because 0 isn't an option. Per the office's report they swabbed my son for the flu even though he didn't have all of the symptoms and was reportedly having a decrease in symptoms. Per the office report, testing for the flu made no difference, it was too long since the onset of symptoms to change the curse of treatment even if it was a positive test. So they still put my 8 year old son through the pain of the test!!! This is absolutely appalling to run tests that make no difference in the course of treatment!!!

I had a very bad experience today with Mali and Mali pediatrics and I am no more taking my kids to them. Our appointment with Dr Zoe was at 3:30pm and we called around 3:05 pm and let them know that we will be late (because of I 75 traffic piling up) and ready to reschedule however they didn't trust us and told that they wil take copay and I asked if we come by 3:40ish will that be ok? They said it is fine and were very courteous to me . We reached the office there at 3:48pm and there was a family checking in front of us . By the time my turn came up , the receptionist said she won't take us because we are late and would like to check inside . She went and took 10 mins and came back told yes and we waited until 4:00 and we were called in. once the nurse took vitals of my 1.5 year old and he told my daughter will be getting two shots today . From 4:10pm we waited until 5 pm , my daughter started crying hysterically as the nurse suggested us to leave her in diaper and the ac was on and she was hungry tooo. Nobody cared and my wife went and checked and they said we are trying to accommodate everyone . Around 5:15 Dr.Zoe came and started asking normal routine questions and we were not able to talk as my little one was crying so bad that she couldn't even touch her as she was really hungry ,sad and moreover was in diaper for more than an hr .. we planned only snacks as we never expected a two hr long wait for being 15 mins later with prior call , the routine was quick as she realizes that my daughter is no more cooperative ,my wife apologized for that and told she is cranky as we have been waiting for 1 hr . Immediately Dr Zoe's reaction was that we checked in only by 4:05 which i told we respect everyone's time and we called prior to inform that we are ready to reschedule and also told the we checked in at 3:49.. for that Dr Zoe told that she was notified only 4:05 which I don't think thatz the case . She keep saying she will investigate and I didn't feel that she was showing any sympathy to my 1.5 year old daughter . At the end , while coming out we usually taken our follow up and also discuss abt timing. This time front office said , we can't make any follow ups as the calendar was not open. This clearly indicates that they are not interested in us continuing with them . I respect everyone's time we also were open to reschedule however I felt Dr Zoe was not even cared of my daughter crying for half an hr . Only thing is if we would have been told abt this 1 hr wait we would be happy to reschedule , they didn't do either but made us to wait for 1:15 hrs for being 15 -19 mins late with a prior notice . I don't see Dr Zoe as my babies Dr anymore and moving on ...

We are with this practice for 5 Years. Time Management is terrible. I think they made enough money and don't care about the overall satisfaction...It used to be a very busy practice with nice experience. I would go back if this is the only practice in town, Doctors seems still good and treats you well. But I like to be in a place where I am comfortable with and treated well.

We go to Dr. Purman who is always on point, always gives great advice and has excellent beside manner and great energy. I have encountered poor service from a receptionist a time or two when they were having a bad day but to have peace of mind and know my babies are in good care from someone who obviously loves what they do, I can be empathetic to a bad day from time to time. My boys will be in his care as long as possible.

This office is ridiculous double charged me in office and told me that wasn't their problem and then they double charged my insurance and every time my insurance company called to speck with them they would hang up on them or transfer them then hang up, my insurance company is filling a fraud case against them with the state and hold they nail them, I'm taking my kids else where!!

We switched to this pediatrician's office from another and is like night and day! The wait times are short! I love that they keep sick kids are healthy kids apart. ALL the staff has been amazing and sweet to not only my children but me as well. You can tell they 100% know what they're doing!

Bridget Smith

The best pediatric office around. My kids just love them! They feel so comfortable, and are treated so wonderfully by not only the doctors but the staff there as well. So convenient if your a working parent, 3 nights of evening hours. Not to mention Saturday mornings. Same day sick appointments always available, which I found to be so rare with other offices. But at Mali & Mali it's no problem. Plus you are guaranteed a great practitioner, with 6 doctors or 4 nurse practitioners to choose from. So basically if you want to have a great practitioner for your child you couldn't do any better!!

Nina Bermudez

I wish I could give zero stars. I loved the Dr and was there for 2 years but the last 3 months, they have been terrible. Its the practice and their policies. The reception is rude. They overcharge and double charge . it takes 2 months to get a refund. My Dr is never available. They stopped taking walk ins and treat you horribly when you try to make appointments. They are rude and have no empathy for your child

Nina Rinaldi

terrible service, worst patient care. I feel sorry for anyone that takes their kids there.just to give u a specific example. my son was sick, I take him and beg for a flu test. dr says no it's a cold. I say please its flu season. this is not a cold. I'm sure. 3 days later he is 10× worse. I go back and say please they finally agree to check again. sure enough flu. and their answer to me was sorry we cant treat it cuz it has passed the time to give him meds. you just have to ride it out. I dont know why the dr didnt check flu ... it's the season. I was livid and felt like my child was just another number there. no kid should be treated like this. I'm mad at myself because I continued to go and had even worse treatment after that.

I would never recommend this office, found out on one of my EOB from my insurance that they double billed my insurance which is fraud. I called the state to fill insurance fraud and found out they already have 4 case agents them with the state for the same thing!!!!!

All of the doctors we have seen have been great. We primarily see Dr. Alling-Jones and she is the best pediatrician we have ever gone to in our 12 years of parenting. She was especially professional and well prepared to deal with the complicated medical situation of our preemie. She answers all of our questions with satisfying answers, and spends as much time with us as needed. The entire staff has gone above and beyond in accommodating us in multiple ways. We have taken our children to three different practices prior to this and feel that we have found our permanent practice now. The difference is remarkable. Multiple people recommended this practice to us, and we can now see why.

My son name is Stephen I used to go to them the staff was so mean they were insisted to charge me the cancelation fee while they didn't call me to conform the appointment, the main issue I am angry from them was there staff they are so mean & inpolites

Saravanan Govindaraj

Always have wait time of 1hr of people. They don't know how to manage their own appointments. Clinic is ok but you can never get a doctor when you call off hours. You will only get nurse assistant. Would not recommend for others. poor management

We know practice and Dr Vikram Mali since 2005. They are outstanding period. Not perfect, nobody is. If we need to wait we understand why, too many kids are sick and you can not predicted how much time some kid will need. I recommend Mali and Mali Pediatrics everybody especially if you have a child with some health problem. Even seeing different pediatrician from the office you can always ask for opinion of Dr Mali and trust his experience and great intuition.

We have been going to Mali and Mali Pediatrics for almost 12 years now. My boys are already 11 and 9. We always go see Dr. Zoy Patouhas, who is wonderful and compassionate! If she is not available and boys are sick, they have excellent NPs who are as professional and knowledgeable. I have been lucky enough that every time I call and schedule my sons, whether routine or when they’re sick, the staff and receptionist never gave me a problem. Although if I believe my sons are really sick, I don’t even go to the office. I go straight to the ER, knowing that they have more resources there. They are big on immunizations and rightfully so, that’s why I love them. The volume of their patients has tremendously increased but I would definitely still recommend them.

Let me start by acknowledging the fact that I rarely leave a bad review, but with this experience I feel compelled to do so. I had a baby in late December and per the hospital pediatrician I needed to schedule a jaundice check two days after we went home. I called Mali and Mali to set up this appointment and the receptionist immediately told me they are a fully vaccinated office and if I didn’t plan to vaccinate this isn’t the right practice. Although I plan on vaccinating my child I asked if we could space out the vaccines and the receptionist said that would not be an issue. We took our baby in that day, and see a pediatrician who came recommended to us. She was as sweet as pie upon meeting her - she checked on my son, told us he needed another blood draw to check on his jaundice and then we brought up the fact that we needed to give him his hep b shot that day in office. That’s when the sweet physician completely changed her tune. She told us there was a shortage of hep b and that we would have to wait until his 2 month appointment to give him 4 shots (hep b included). We told her we wanted to space out his vaccines and she became irate. She called my husband and I “a high risk family” since I didn’t get a tdap and flu shot while pregnant (my Gynecologist said told me half of the office chooses not to get those while pregnant). We leave the office to go down to the lab in the same building to get blood work done. What is more “HIGH RISK” then sending a 2 day old baby into a lab with an overwhelming amount of sick people??? Why do they not draw blood right in their office??? We waited in the waiting room for an hour before my sons blood was taken. We received a call from the pediatrician that his levels were high and needed to go to the hospital urgent. care the following day (New Years day) because they were closed. Let’s send a 3 day old baby to the hospital urgent care on New Years Day. Obviously it’s a bunch of very sick kids going to the hospital on New Years Day... what is more “high risk” than that? She called me that night, levels were still climbing so we were to call the following day to schedule an appt in their office. I called at 7:30 am per her instruction - they had 3:45pm available and there was an ice storm that day. 3:45 + however long labs took - I felt I was exposing my child to a number of germs I didn’t think he should be around plus I did not feel comfortable driving for an extended period of time during an ice storm. I called another office closer to my house and they had a 10am appt available. I told Mali and Mali that I would send the results over and they called me 5+ times to let me know that they dismissed me as a patient because they must be the primary care physician and I can’t go anywhere else per their policy. I received a certified letter today stating the same. Don’t go to this office if you want your child to be subjected to “high risk” situations. For example: - well and sick kids use the same rooms - Labs are drawn downstairs and take forever I found a pediatrician closer to my house, everyone I met so far has been incredible. They draw labs IN HOUSE and send them twice to Beaumont per day. They are also okay with spacing out vaccines. They have well rooms and sick rooms. All in all, it was a blessing this happened because I found an office I absolutely love and it’s closer to my house and they handle everything in house.

I have been using them for over a year and find the entire staff a pleasure to work with. Some of these reviews on here are ridiculous. If you miss an appointment or cancel the day of your appointment of course you have a fee, find me an office that does not charge one worth going to. People should be aware of what insurance they accept and who needs to be the primary on it, not the doctors office. I have never had to wait in the office longer than 15 minutes, every time I call I receive a phone call back from a medical professional in under 3 hours, and they are all very caring and knowledgeable. Their website is also very helpful. Everyone I know goes there and feels the same so if you are looking for a great and knowledgable group of pediatricians, nurses and staff this is your place.

Mali & Mali are good at following up with a patient child. Dr. Mali himself was a knowledgeable doctor and good at explaining and taking the time with his patients. On the flip side -- The front desk staff and office manager(s) there are cold and short. Also, the practice is ridiculously strict about keeping the appointments, and here is why: We canceled the date for an appointment not within 48 hours because our child felt better and didn't need to be seen, and Dr. Mali considered it a "missed appointment." Are we supposed to come in even when our child improved and didn't need to be seen, just so that the doctor could make the money off of the visit! Mali & Mali wanted to charge us a $20 fee. We always kept our balance to $0, so we asked that the staff ask Dr. Mali if he would waive the charge. A few days after we were surprised to receive a return-receipt letter stating that we "violated the office tardiness policy," and thus Dr. Mali will not be accepting our children again in his office. For that reason we are giving Mali & Mali 2 stars because at the end it was unprofessional and short on Dr. Mali to treat us like that without true understanding and lack of communication with us - Dr. Mali could have talked to us, but instead Dr. Mali abruptly sent us this cold letter. We no longer go to doctors who have such a ridiculous tardiness policy.

Every doctor and nurse practitioner we've seen has been great. Front desk people need to correct their working habits; especially the person who calls in prescriptions (they are a bit lazy).

Lindsey DeBoever

Mali & Mali is a fantastic practice; I was sad to have to find another pediatrician when we moved. The staff is always pleasant and has time to answer questions. I was always able to schedule appointments at convenient times and same-day appointments when my daughter was sick were never an issue.

This is a wonderful caring practice from the girls at the front desk to the nurses and doctors! I never feel that I am rushed and all my questions are always answered in such a caring and professional manner. Every time I am at the practice which with two kids seems to be a lot, I am treated with such love and respect. I know my children are not just another patient they are the top priority of the doctor or nurse were are seeing. Also I appreciate the same day sick appointments and the late night appointments for sickness, there have been plenty of times where I am calling and I able to see a doctor the same day even after I am off of work which is a miracle for working parents. I could not be happier with this practice and everyone that works there they truly care for every child that walks through their door and it shows!! I have gladly referred this practice to many of my friends

This is our third Pediatrician and last pediatrician. I have loved every single one of the doctors/nurse practitioners, especially Sarah. I love their nursing staff, especially Joel. Their office staff is great and their referral specialist, Jaime, is always timely and great to communicate with.

Mali and Mali pediactrics in Troy is a joke!!! They neglected to tell us before we drove all the way here we needed to change them as my sons primary with BCN beforehand. So he didn't have his visit today....we wont be back, cant deal with lack of organization.
