This was the worst place that I ever been and will not reccomend this place to no one. Northwest dermatology is the best place to go with good doctor.

HORRIBLE bedside manners. Very arrogant. I think her success makes her a little too cocky.

Daniel Vander Ley

I went to Dr. Thomas for some stitches. I received prompt and experienced medical service. The best part of going to Dr. Thomas is her experience with plastic surgery. Because of this good decision, today I have no scar-line from the stitches. Thank you Dr. Thomas.

The worst. Wait times are ridiculous. Dr. Thomas would actually see product salespeople in the office while seeing patients! She takes no time with her patients and rushes them out the door as soon as she can. You're lucky if you get 5 minutes. One time was enough for me. I found another black dermatologist at Henry Ford that I am happy with.

Office staff is rude and condescending. They do not value you as a person let alone a patient. They placed me in a room and I waited an hour (total 2 hour wait time) without any communication. When I finally got feed up; told them I would like a refund, because you have to pay before being seen. The girl while sucking on candy and smacking her lips pointed me to the checkout desk, with an oh well attitude. Not, what's the problem, let me see, just...bye! The checkout clerk was concerned and asked what was wrong. When I asked to speak with the office manager, was told she was seeing patients...well is she an office manager or doctor? I felt DISRESPECTED and TARGETED. They don't offer late or weekend appointments, so I had to take time off work and make accommodations for my trainee to make this appointment. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. Save your time and peace of mind.

Every time I visit Michigan I make an appointment and she is amazing. Dr Thomas listens, the prescribed part oeuvre actually work, and the staff is very accommodating in scheduling. The wait time may be a little longer some days, but it’s well worth it.

Disgusted. I usually refrain from posting my experiences with others but not today! Today was horrible and I have to be honest. I went to Dr. Thomas bc I was a patient of hers prior and had a great experience. 4 years later, I wanted to bring my 13 y.o. Who has acne. Well I also have a 1 year old and she just tagged along, no biggie. Right? Well shortly after arriving I was told that I could not take my baby who I was holding in the visit! (She wasn’t screaming, running, fussing, crying, hungry, stinky, or anything and I have proof) Which also meant I could not take my 13 y.o. In the visit bc I was holding the baby

Sandra Cox

One of the best dermatologists i have ever had. Never had a negative experience in all the years i been with her. I live in Texas now and hate that she is not here practicing

Jennifer Rogers

Even though my primary care Dr. recommended visiting Dr. Thomas, I did see the awful reviews before I went to the appointment. I wish I had listened. Unaccommodating and unprofessional sum right up. If zero stars were available, that would have been a better choice. The best choice would be minus starts. Both the Dr. and I wasted time.

Dr Thomas is a Very Good Dr although I’ve been a patient for over 11 years my only complaint is her front desk staff very rude, hard to schedule an appointment, they rarely answer the phone and when they do your put on hold or they hang up on you.

Shonie Parker

Dr. Thomas is a wonderful and knowledgeable doctor. Her bedside manner is superb.

Donna Wilson

Dr Lorna Thomas is the best Dermatologist in the Detroit Metro area. I have been her patient for 15+ years. I now live in Florida but if I need her service I would fly back in a heart beat, she's just that good!! You do have to heal first, people, before you become beautiful! Thanks, Dr Lorna for being the Best, from your long time patient, Donna Chapman-Henderson

Jack Cooper

Overall bad experience. Customer service terrible. Do not recommend it.

Andrea Adams

I had a appointment today with Dr. Lorna Thomas it was the best experience I had from a doctor office in a long time.the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Thomas answers all of my concerns about the rash on my skin, an biopsy was done with minimal discomfort and a follow up appointment was made, I will definitely recommend Dr. Thomas to my family and friend.

I was excited to see someone who specialized in Keloid removal and treatment but I will be looking elsewhere. I couldn't even get past the receptionist who hung up on me twice. She was so very rude and didn't stop talking long enough for me to say a single thing. If this is how they allow their receptionist to act then I do not desire to see what the rest of the staff is like. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

Theresa Washington

Can we say disliked! First when calling there was confusion about insurance, but clearly the staff didn’t know I had already investigated. Then arriving the staff seemed very cold and distant. Then finally meeting the doctor, I almost see why the staff acted in such a way. Dr. Lorna did not have very good bedside manners. As I was straying to show her my troubles spots she told me very directly, “move your hand so I can see, I am the doctor”. I preferred not use a certain med, she told me to trust her, she has 14 + years in a plaque outside the door. Can you say rude?! Can you say arrogant?! Then with my daughter who has already been self conscious of her skin, the doctor told her she was a mess and that she should be glad she was there to see her cause she was a mess. Can you say rude?! Can you say not good bedside manners?!

The integrity of the staff is highly questionable. One staff member said she'd call me back, and I never heard back from her. I called back and the receptionist just hung up on me when I tried to seek more information. Well, guess that's how it's going to be in Detroit especially with a poorly trained and selected staff. If you can afford it, I'd recommend going to the Gravier Center in Roswell, Georgia. World renown doctor who supports war veterans and families affected by war.

First, Dr. Thomas is a nice lady to talk to, but I think you need more experience as a dermatology patient than I had prior to going to her. I know nothing about my skin. What type I have, etc. All I knew was that I had more zits than I have ever had, and I was having trouble getting it under control. I figured I'd go and find out about my skin, maybe discuss a care plan for anything else I needed done. But she can only do 1 thing per appointment, so what I wanted and what happened were not the same. (Probably because I said 'acne' was my concern) In any event, she came in and confirmed that I do have adult acne. She wrote up a list of prescriptions with use instructions and sent me on my way. No explanation for why each item was needed or anything. In total, I think I spent about $400 or so to get all of these items, but I still don't know what each one's purpose is. I am not sure which item is causing a reaction with my skin, but one of them is. I ended up switching doctors for the appointment about my reaction. Hopefully, I can get everything straightened out and be better able to understand my personal needs. :/

Nubian Mother

Please go some where else the staff was great but the doctor was horrible. I had a reaction to a MILD skin peel and had to go on vacation with raw cheeks. Now I am a very dark woman so to have pink cheeks was just terrible, and to top it all off dr Thomas was rude condescending and didn't address my concerns. Please do not go here!!!!!!!!!!!

Whitney Griffin

Terrible service! The office staff is unaccommodating and unprofessional. Don't waste your time.
