This place was good 2 years ago. Now every time I'm here appointments lead to, at a minimum, a 30 minute wait. Our doctor left and now I know why. They are terrible at billing and setting appointments. One time they had me bring my 2 year old in for a 2nd flu shot. We waited 45 minutes just to find out he didn't need it. I doubt the even clean the toys in the waiting areas. We are finding a new doctor ASAP. PEACE OUT.

Dr. Val is thorough and attentive. She was able to answer all our questions and provided us with the knowledge needed to understand our child’s condition.

I had recently changed pediatricians only because of convenience (we live 45 minutes away from Bloomfield Hills.) Our prior experiences had been great before my most recent incident. I had called to schedule a same day appointment for my son, explained that I would be driving long distance and was still wanting to confirm availability to be seen. The receptionist confirmed that they were available ("great!" I thought). I drove the long distance. Upon arrival, the receptionist confirmed the patient name and then stated that they needed a wellness check up as well. I stated that we had recently completed it with our changed physician to which point the receptionist asked why we switched. I said that it was for convenience because we live far away. Without giving me additional ability to explain, she rolled her eyes and walked away from me to get the manager. After listening to them whispering, the manager reluctantly greeted me and explained that they encourage continuity for patient care but would see the patient. Although this seems satisfactory, her demeanor portrayed annoyance and reluctance. To be clear: they did not refuse care. I agreed with the logic of continuity but was extremely offended by the receptionist rolling her eyes and walking away. I came back to this office because they are a trusted resource and have had good experiences in the past. I asked if I could address it with the receptionist directly and she came out to talk. I explained how disrespectful she was by rolling her eyes and walking away from me and that she didn't give me a chance to explain. She apologized in an insincere manner and then walked away from me again while rolling her eyes AGAIN. She stated I was making a scene (no scene was being made) and felt sorry for my child. The manager was present but offered no support. I'm sorry to see the staff quality decline and will NOT be using this office again. I was deeply offended and would not recommend them in the future. Perhaps I was switching back to this office but they didn't ask and all chances of that are gone.

Good doctors but need to improve how appointments are scheduled to reduce wait time.

The office staff is horrible. They are annoyed if you ask any sort of question. I have requested my child's medical records be released to our new pediatrician twice and they have yet to send them. Luckily, we followed the pediatrician he had been seeing, so she already knew his history. We just moved across the state and am hoping that they will actually send his records this time.

Doctors are good and have excellent bedside manner with kids. Have had multiple mixups on prescriptions and had trouble resolving. Doctors too busy to speak over concerns or return calls instead asking front office staff to handle. Customer service and courtesy lacking - the office manager Kim blamed the parents this time for signing for the wrong dosage on a prescription saying she expected us to read more carefully. Seriously?

Very helpful and nice staff. Maureen Kelly is the best doctor. Kids love her.

I first heard about Dr. Kelly while in labor with my son. I did not have a pediatrician picked out and without hesitation, my midwife said "Dr. Kelly, I will give you her information". I told multiple nurses after having my son that she was recommended and all the Beaumont nurses spoke very highly of her and encouraged us to see her. At least five different nurses and doctors praised her for being a great Doctor and for being an integral part of teaching other doctors. Many other reviewers complain about the wait time and I can attest that you will in fact wait your turn to see her. However, when it is your turn you will get the most thorough visit every single time. She will answer every single question and make sure you understand and feel comfortable. My son feels comfortable with her as well. In the last year, we have been in a few more times than our regular checkups so we have seen at least 6 other doctors. Each nurse, doctor and assistant that we met has been kind, helpful and I have nothing but praise for everyone. I have had no problems with this practice and would highly recommend them but do not plan your appointment for when you are in a hurry or go in hungry because you will absolutely wait.

I have a special needs daughter and was telling our pediatrician at the time (Dr. Kelly) that our daughter was regressing and we needed help finding resources. She didn't believe she was regressing because my daughter used to see Dr. Earles, but she unfortunately left the practice. She didn't see her until she had all ready started losing her skills so she didn't believe me. My daughter has a diagnosis of excitatory catatonia. She has been evaluated at U of M and Center for Human Development. Dr. Kelly also called me on the phone and screamed at me at 9pm in response to a letter I left to her in her my chart. She tried telling me how much she did for me and my family as if it were a favor instead of her job (because my daughter is special needs?). It was basically a struggle to get anything with this Doctor unless it was her idea. Hoping I don't get a call after this review...

Great Staff. Amy, the NP is amazing. She spent her time with us, explained everything, and didn't seem to be in a rush to get to her next patient, like most Dr. offices do.

Horrible experience the doctor yelled at my son for being to wild in the room. Unprofessional need to learn how to deal with children!

While their doctors are good, they need a comprehensive reevaluation of their office policies. For starters, they pretend that all of their doctors are open to new patients but in practice this is not true. Although my daughter's primary care physician was officially Sonja Earles (the doctor we selected), our daughter never saw Dr. Earles during the 6 months we were at the practice. However, the real problems didn't begin until we moved to a new state and tried to have our daughter's medical records released. I tried to have my daughter's records released over two weeks ago and still have not received them. First they lost my daughter's medical records release form. When I called to check up later they told me that they could not send out her records until the following week because the service that they contract out to only comes once a week. They refused to send the records earlier even though they had lost my request. Finally, when I called back to ensure that the records were sent they told me that they would not send the records at all and that I would have to obtain them through Beaumont Hospital's online system. I still don't have the records and I am currently looking into options for legal action against their practice in order to receive them...apparently that's what it will take. Whatever you do, don't take your child here.

Wouldn’t take my 1 year old baby girl anywhere else. Love everyone in this office. Very knowledgeable and very concerned for the well being of your child.

I have tried to be patient, and understanding, but the lack off communication, ridiculous doctor/medical staff turnover, and inconsideration of time has grown too much. My youngest son has some health concerns that require pretty frequent visits. There was literally a new doctor there EVERY APPOINTMENT. My wife and I constantly had to "present" our sons history to the new doctors every time. This is not something that I expect from a PRIMARY care physician. The final straw was when the office decided to randomly enact a policy of charging.20 cent per page to have medical records faxed to other offices. My wife and I were looking to get records sent. We had of course had records, and referrals sent places before with no problem. This time there was a fee. Again i am being understanding and agree to pay the fee. They "Settled" on a flat rate of $20 as I am assuming they realized it was a crazy amount of money to ask a Parent to pay for sending records. They said great we will send them over. I check with the recipient of the fax at the end of the week...nothing. I call back to Bloomfield Care, they respond..."You didn't pay the $20 yet". NO ONE TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO PAY IT PRIOR TO SENDING THE FAX! They are unorganized and inconsistent.

Everyone at this office from Dr. Kelly to the receptionist has been great to work with, they spend a ton of time with us answering all of our questions (as first time parents, we have a ton) and making sure they are available on call as well! Very lucky to have them caring for our daughter.

Every Dr I've had for my son has been very thoughtful and considerate

We have been going here right from the start. i have 2 kids and the office has been nothing but helpful. The staff and doctors are kind, caring and compassionate. I like the fact that there are mulitple doctor's so you are not waiting for an apts .you call and can get in same day no problem. I am particularly grateful of this team in diagnosing my son early for a condition he needed surgery for. We have had no issues with Bloomfield pediatrics and definitely refer them often!!

Chris Greenwood

Just about everything we were told in this office was later contradicted by other doctors.

Daniel Bousho

Honestly surprised but certainly understanding of the poor reviews here. We have been with this pediatric office for the life of our children and while waiting times have been a challenge at times, we have never had any issues.

Dr. Kelly - You are exceptional. One of a kind.
