Terrible reception and scheduling. Called several times to schedule an appointment and, after being on hold for 10+ minutes each time, left a message. No one every called me back to schedule, so I finally went into the office in person. I scheduled the appointment for the following Friday but when I returned for the scheduled appointment, I was told it had been scheduled for the previous Friday. I received no apology, only a "I don't know what to tell you." I'd suggest going to Dermatology Partners in the same building instead - much friendlier and more competent office.

Nothing but positives for this office. I just read some negative reviews and I wonder if I am on the same planet as those people. I have been under the care of Dr. Kaye for about twenty years and am absolutely thrilled to have her. She is the best! I personally always praise that office staff because it is the most organized medical office I go to by a long shot. What are those other writers thinking?!?!? (When you are phoning in I agree that the lunch break is a pain in the neck but all offices do it and it helps the rest of the day go more smoothly.) NWD is organized There is always someone at each desk doing what they are supposed to be doing Billing is always correct, check out is simple and fast and I don't think I have ever been in the waiting room more than five minutes. Dr. Kaye is totally professional, absolutely knows her stuff and is on the mark. She calls personally after every biopsy to carefully explain the next step. I am extremely fortunate to be under her care. I have told the office manager at my PCPs office (different hospital) that he should go observe NWDermatology and learn a few things. Don't believe those other "off" reviews. Newton Wellesley Dermatology was and is the best. Liz McCarthy

My family has been going to Newton-Wellesley Dermatology for over 14 years and have always been found this practice to be exceptional in service, professionalism, and caring doctors, NPs and medical assistants. For example, recently my adolescent son needed a biopsy and was nervous about needles and Mariah and the Medical Assistant, Stanley, skillfully, expertly and swiftly talked him through the procedure and he didn't even realize it was done and stitched up. All the practioners are terrific in follow up and provide the patient in the confidence and personal care and demeanor for each visit. I highly recommend Newton-Wellesley Dermatology to anyone.

Other than being chronically 30 min late (and improving, and only partially, only after I gave them one star on here), they sent me a FINAL NOTICE of a $25 balance threatening to assign my case to an outside collector agency after I paid hundreds of $ in time for years. Not a phone call, no nothing before that. In addition, the medical care they provided was never good enough to definitely resolve the issue I went there for. That's it. I am not setting foot in this place ever again.

I have been a patient of Marya Woodruff Ochs for over a decade because of her impressive care, knowledge, professionalism. I have also recommended her to other friends who have become her patients. I had a melanoma on my right fore arm several decades ago...other dermatology practices just looked me with no concern....just another patient. At this practice they go above and beyond to make each patient feel cared for and are on top of their game with current medical practices. I am confident in them and seeing Mayra Woodruff Ochs, MHS,PA-C for my skin checks and any dermatology concerns. I would go to no other practice even if I had travel a distance.

never answer the phone- lied about sending fax to lab, all about money. time to remember the patient

Sneha Campanella, PA is amazing! Explains everything and very thoughtful in her approach.

After reading all the negative reviews I just had to post. I've worked with a couple dermatologists here and have never had anything but positive experiences including removal of skin tags and suspect moles. They have always answered the phones for me and provided me with follow-up information after having complications even. Don't listen to just the negatives here. Look at the positives and schedule an appointment. I'm sure they will treat you with great care like they did me which eventually led to my entire family moving to the practice.

Start with the notice on their website this morning that the office is closed today, which it is not....I just came from there. That leads me to the front desk check-in procedure which is the equivalent of getting an H-1 Green Card if you are a Syrian ISIS terrorist.... While I was standing there wanting to be admitted, one person removed themselves form their care and another left because "the Dr. is running 30-45 minutes late..." Which translates into the Dr will be trimming off 5-minutes from each of the next 9-appointments to get back on schedule, or as I witnessed today, people just left upset. Then I found out that I needed to reschedule appointment on another day with another office physician because my original physician could not see me....; I ended the conversation then-n-there by letting them know I will be changing physicians. Same circus, same old act and I have seen it twice too many times....; never again...

Have gone here for 5 years or so. When they finally get to you the staff is very nice, but in all of the years I have never been taken in on time and often wait a minimum of 20 minutes and have waited up to an hour before I have given up and left. They just don't care.

Dr. Goldaber is an amazing dermatologist, he truly cares about his patients and ensure they receive the best care. He spends time explaining particular moles and will always answer questions. I have been going to Newton Wellesley Dermatology for the last 15 years. I recommend NWD. An amazing practice!

Checked in, waited one hour, asked what was going on, told I was a no show. Unbelievable! Avoid.

Beverly Russo

My name is Beverly Russo. Marya Woodruff Ochs, MHS, PA-C is nothing less than fantastic. Unlike other practitioners I’ve have gone to in the past, Marya takes my concerns about any skin abnormality seriously. Because of her attention to detail and swift action the basal cell carcinoma on my nose was quickly biopsied and therefore treatment was less invasive. I noticed a tiny discoloration that did not fit the usual signs of skin cancer. It was flesh colored and shiny not brown or mole like. The border was not irregular and it was unnoticeable to the naked eye. Marya fit me in immediately. I could tell she knew it was a BCC right away when she said it was good that I came in right away to get this lesion checked out. Marya’s assurance and compassion gently prepared me for her phone call the next day telling me that it was a basal cell cancer. I will be forever grateful for Marya’s genuine care for me as a person through this diagnosis. I sailed through treatment and am 100% cancer free. Every year I look forward to my yearly skin check with Marya because I know she truly cares about all her patients. I love all the people who work here. They are very professional and kind. The offices are immaculate and cheery. In all my years of coming to this office I have never had an issue about waiting times or billing. I would not go anywhere else.

Lydia O'Connor

I love my doctor! She is really nice and caring. Doctors office is clean, has a nice waiting room, and the people that work there are friendly.

allison Asmega

Office and medical staff is unorganized causing unnecessary testing and billing that the office was in end responsible for. The office and billing staff is condescending and rude. I would not recommend this office to anyone and would recommend the practitioners to find a new practice that will not hurt their reputation.
