A little less than a month ago, I was fortunate enough to have FFS with Dr. Spiegel. His talent and expertise go without saying, he's simply just the best; but he is also such a kind and compassionate person. This surgery is so significant for trans-women who want it and everyone at The Spiegel Center knows that, especially Dr. Spiegel. When I first reached out about scheduling an initial consultation, Kat got right back to me and got me in the next week. From that day, she was always there to answer all of my questions, address all of my concerns, and just offer me so much emotional support. And a month after surgery, she's STILL there helping me just as much as she did before. My initial consultation went SO well. Dr. Spiegel went over everything with me in detail and answered ALL of my questions in detail. He does this surgery A LOT, but he never made me feel like "just another one", nothing felt mechanical. I wanted to mention that because I went on consultations with two other pretty well known surgeons and I cannot say the same about them. The impression with them was "I do this a lot, I'm good at it, just listen, you'll be fine". Dr. Spiegel, on the other hand, made everything feel very personalized. That's the difference between confidence and ego. He made it clear that he was going to give me MY face, not just a collection of standard feminine feature. I officially decided I would go with Dr. Spiegel about a month later. I was crushed to hear that he was booked until December. I told Kat I was prepared to wait, but explained to her why getting it done this summer was my goal. She could have stopped there, but she kept checking for any open ORs in the summer; and SHE WAS ABLE TO FIND ONE. She got me in for a consultation ONE week after requesting it AND she got me into surgery TWO months after booking. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. My surgery came and went so quickly and everything went so well. Throughout this ENTIRE process, I have never felt so well cared for. I could happy-cry just thinking about it. If there is any other procedure or treatment I want in the future, there is NO question about where I'll go. Thank you so much Dr. Spiegel, Kat, and everyone at the Spiegel Center. You raise the bar so high for every other surgeon's office. Thank you for your talent, your professionalism, your compassion, and your sincerity. I've had the pleasure of having Dr Spiegel perform vocal chords surgery on me in January of 2018. Not being able to talk for 3 weeks is extremely hard!!!! So don't do that, not even a whisper!!! It is now September and its getting better everyday. Was told it sometimes takes about a year for total healing so be patient. Having the surgery has been a lifesaver to me. I has a forehead reconstruction with brow lift and trachea shave done with Dr. Spiegel on March 2nd 2018 at Mount Auburn Hospital. I came all the way from Korea to see Dr. Spiegel because Korean surgeons can’t perform the type 3 forehead reconstruction I desperately needed. Not only did both procedures go perfectly, my experience at Mount Auburn Hospital was absolutely amazing. He performed the trachea shave in a very safe manner, and I have experienced no negative changes in voice what so ever. Dr. Spiegel performed the brow lift slightly differently for me and the result suits my Asian face perfectly. He also fixed the minor ptosis in my right brow. Also what amazes me is the incision for my forehead reconstruction was closed up so carefully that after one week I can barely see the actual scar line except the scabs around it. As it turned out Dr. Spiegel was surprised too, because he said most patients aren’t nearly as careful as me after the procedure and always stress the surgery spot and stretch out the scar tissue early in the recovery process. Not only was the staff at Mount Auburn Hospital super friendly, I was offered a single room with a beautiful view of the river. My first night was absolutely painless, and my swelling was minimal. Also, the paient coordinator Katie at Dr. Spiegel’s office is the best! She was always responding to emails promptly, and she helped me so much with billing and scheduling the surgery. I messed up the payment because I didn’t read the instructions carefully but Katie figured everything out and dispersed the payment for me. Thank you so much!! Overall, I am very impressed by Dr. Spiegel and his team. I’ll definitely come back if I need anything else in the future, thank you thank you!

Trusting someone with your face is a very big deal and at The Spiegel Center you are safe! Dr. Jeffrey is truly a master of the craft. You will feel informed, comfortable, and confident in his care. I just want to start off by saying that my experience was incredible. First off, the staff at the Spiegel Center is very welcoming, friendly, and professional. I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. After checking in, I first met with the beautiful Uzma, the patient coordinator, to discuss with her what I’d like Dr. Onir to do to my face. Uzma was very kind and helpful- She gave me information on each treatment I wanted done and the prices for each. After she discussed with Dr. Onir of what I wanted, Dr. Onir came in and this is where the magic happens. I first got lip filler to fix asymmetry in my lips and the experience was amazing. I’ve never gotten any sort of cosmetic procedures done to my face and let me tell you- I already know Dr. Onir is my doctor from here on out. The pain was so doable (barely felt anything) and immediately after getting them done they looked beautiful and even, not the fake ducky look. What I like about Dr. Onir is she doesn’t push anything on you that she truly believes you don’t need. She focused on just enhancing your natural beauty without looking like you’re “done”, which means a lot to me because I’ve held off injections for so long in fear that I’ll look unnatural. I was so happy with the results that I teared up in front of Dr. Onir, thanking her for helping me with my insecurity. I also asked for botox injected into my jaw muscle (masseter) for tmj and for hope of a more narrow-looking bottom half of my face. This was incredibly easy and pain-free. I also happened to get Dysport in the temple area (I’m not exactly sure where she injected but it wasn’t the actual temple) to help lift my brows a tiny bit because my eyes are slightly droopy/hooded looking. I just got this done yesterday so all that’s noticeable right now is the lip filler, as botox takes a few days to come into effect. All in all, I’m so pleased with my experience and am coming back in 2 weeks for a follow up. Uzma made sure to email me and thank me for coming right after I left and Dr. Onir happened to text me that night as well letting me know that if I have any questions or concerns to just reach out. This makes me know that Dr. Onir really cares about the patient and how satisfied they are. Thank you so much to both Uzma and Dr. Onir for giving me such an unforgettable, incredible experience!

I LOVE my Botox treatment!!! Went down for a consult on quite a few things, and Dr. Spiegel and staff were wonderful, a very caring group of people. After answering my many questions, I opted to try botox for the first time ever, and was a little nervous. Dr. Spiegel was super! The injections weren't bad at all, and after about a week REALLY showed a difference. Carole and Katie went above and beyond to help me book my surgery date, while in the midst of an emergency. They made me a priority from day one! Arelys helped navigate through the difficult workings of my insurance, and kept me up to date every step of the way. I recieved FFS and rhinoplasty from Dr. Spiegel in April and as of August my results are incredible! My breathing through my nose is much better and I look several years younger, which wasn't planned but turned out to be a lovely bonus. I felt cared for and valued by everyone and that helped my stress levels which made my recovery so much easier. I has a forehead reconstruction with brow lift and trachea shave done with Dr. Spiegel on March 2nd 2018 at Mount Auburn Hospital. I came all the way from Korea to see Dr. Spiegel because Korean surgeons can’t perform the type 3 forehead reconstruction I desperately needed. Not only did both procedures go perfectly, my experience at Mount Auburn Hospital was absolutely amazing. He performed the trachea shave in a very safe manner, and I have experienced no negative changes in voice what so ever. Dr. Spiegel performed the brow lift slightly differently for me and the result suits my Asian face perfectly. He also fixed the minor ptosis in my right brow. Also what amazes me is the incision for my forehead reconstruction was closed up so carefully that after one week I can barely see the actual scar line except the scabs around it. As it turned out Dr. Spiegel was surprised too, because he said most patients aren’t nearly as careful as me after the procedure and always stress the surgery spot and stretch out the scar tissue early in the recovery process. Not only was the staff at Mount Auburn Hospital super friendly, I was offered a single room with a beautiful view of the river. My first night was absolutely painless, and my swelling was minimal. Also, the paient coordinator Katie at Dr. Spiegel’s office is the best! She was always responding to emails promptly, and she helped me so much with billing and scheduling the surgery. I messed up the payment because I didn’t read the instructions carefully but Katie figured everything out and dispersed the payment for me. Thank you so much!! Overall, I am very impressed by Dr. Spiegel and his team. I’ll definitely come back if I need anything else in the future, thank you thank you!

I just want to start off by saying that my experience was incredible. First off, the staff at the Spiegel Center is very welcoming, friendly, and professional. I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. After checking in, I first met with the beautiful Uzma, the patient coordinator, to discuss with her what I’d like Dr. Onir to do to my face. Uzma was very kind and helpful- She gave me information on each treatment I wanted done and the prices for each. After she discussed with Dr. Onir of what I wanted, Dr. Onir came in and this is where the magic happens. I first got lip filler to fix asymmetry in my lips and the experience was amazing. I’ve never gotten any sort of cosmetic procedures done to my face and let me tell you- I already know Dr. Onir is my doctor from here on out. The pain was so doable (barely felt anything) and immediately after getting them done they looked beautiful and even, not the fake ducky look. What I like about Dr. Onir is she doesn’t push anything on you that she truly believes you don’t need. She focused on just enhancing your natural beauty without looking like you’re “done”, which means a lot to me because I’ve held off injections for so long in fear that I’ll look unnatural. I was so happy with the results that I teared up in front of Dr. Onir, thanking her for helping me with my insecurity. I also asked for botox injected into my jaw muscle (masseter) for tmj and for hope of a more narrow-looking bottom half of my face. This was incredibly easy and pain-free. I also happened to get Dysport in the temple area (I’m not exactly sure where she injected but it wasn’t the actual temple) to help lift my brows a tiny bit because my eyes are slightly droopy/hooded looking. I just got this done yesterday so all that’s noticeable right now is the lip filler, as botox takes a few days to come into effect. All in all, I’m so pleased with my experience and am coming back in 2 weeks for a follow up. Uzma made sure to email me and thank me for coming right after I left and Dr. Onir happened to text me that night as well letting me know that if I have any questions or concerns to just reach out. This makes me know that Dr. Onir really cares about the patient and how satisfied they are. Thank you so much to both Uzma and Dr. Onir for giving me such an unforgettable, incredible experience!

I LOVE my Botox treatment!!! Went down for a consult on quite a few things, and Dr. Spiegel and staff were wonderful, a very caring group of people. After answering my many questions, I opted to try botox for the first time ever, and was a little nervous. Dr. Spiegel was super! The injections weren't bad at all, and after about a week REALLY showed a difference. The furrowed brow (I read a lot in my profession) wrinkles melted away, leaving my face more relaxed looking and younger. A big thanks to the whole center; wonderful all the way around!!!

I recieved FFS and rhinoplasty from Dr. Spiegel in April and as of August my results are incredible! My breathing through my nose is much better and I look several years younger, which wasn't planned but turned out to be a lovely bonus. Cons: *Expensive *Procedure wasn't throughly explained while in action. *Technique was outdated (crisscross motions not implemented to ensure all skin channels are opened to create even fibroblast production) *Coverage area could have been more thorough. To say I had an amazing experience with Dr. Spiegel and his team would be an extreme understatement. I'm a 23 year old trans woman and underwent Facial Feminization Surgery around 5 months ago. The procedures I had done were Forehead Contouring, Lip Lift, and Trachea Shave. These procedures were my first venture into my gender confirming surgeries and were quite daunting, however walking into my first consultation at Dr. Spiegel's office I was immediately made to feel extremely comfortable by his entire staff, especially the lovely Carole. Dr. Spiegel's staff is full of some of the most endearing, professional, and heartwarming people I've ever come across. Everyone immediately made sure they were using my correct name and pronouns and treated me with nothing but respect. Carole helped my mother and I every step of the way assisting with payments, scheduling, and most of all support. Before my procedure Dr. Spiegel was extremely pragmatic, making sure my expectations were realistic and suggested what he thought would be best to feminize my face. Dr. Spiegel is a genius at what he does. My surgery went flawless and recovery time was minimal (I went back to work after 2 weeks with some swelling left over). 5 months later I could not be happier with my results. Over time my face has continued to settle and I'm more comfortable than I've ever been before in my life. I no longer experience any dysphoria in my face, which is something I'm still so grateful for. Dr. Spiegel's touch is so subtle which is exactly what I was looking for - he gave me the feminine look I've always desired. I look more myself now than ever before. I visited Dr. Spiegel on September 18th for a procedure. After three weeks, I returned to Boston for a post op visit and everything is looking good. Here's what I can tell you about Dr. Spiegel. First, he's the real deal. What you see in YouTube videos is his genuine nature. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed, answered my questions, and communicated clearly. For such a talent, he is remarkably humble and down to earth. Secondly, he's got skills. I understand --first hand --why he is a world renound surgeon. He performed my procedure at Boston Medical Center. There's many procedures that can be performed in his office surgical suite, but my procedure required the hospital facilities. Great hospital staff. And finally, Dr. Spiegel has great team that knows how to WOW! the patient. Carole did a fantastic job coordinating my case and knows how to make a girl feel good about herself. She was efficient and professional. And she was with me from start to finish. I have deep appreciation for her patience and empathy, cause I emailed her many times during this journey. Dr. Kuperstock is his fellow (think "understudy") and was present for my surgery and follow-up. It was apparent he brings strong knowledge and skill. A few days after my surgery, I had a concern. I emailed the office and they told me I could go to Boston Medical Center to check me out. Dr. Spiegel was in the middle of another surgery, but Dr. Kuperstock was on duty and able to see me. Everything was fine. I left feeling blessed that my Doctors really do care about me. And I can not leave Carly out of this review. She is often the voice you will hear on the phone, and if you make it to the office, she will probably be the first smiling face you see! I still have a few weeks to go before I realize the true outcome of my procedure. But I am confident and optimistic because I have confidence in my doctor. I recommend Dr. Spiegel and will probably see him for other procedures in the future. He really is one of the best.

My experience with Dr. Spiegel has been phenomenal. I had a severely deviated septum, and needed to have a septoplasty, which is a purely functional procedure to help with my breathing. Carole (the patient coordinator I worked with) was great – from first call to appointment was three days; and then she helped scheduled the procedure for the same day as I was first seen by Dr. Spiegel, which is phenomenal given how busy he is. I had my septoplasty in-office under local anesthesia, which was my preference. Dr. Spiegel listened to me, asked questions about my goals, and what success would look be for me. The procedure was comfortable, and, given his double specialization in Otolaryngology and plastic surgery, he definitely knew what he was doing. He followed up after surgery, and has been available to answer questions as they’ve come up. I’m still early in recovery (slightly more than a week out), and have already benefited from better breathing from my previously congested side. I’d recommend The Spiegel Center. They listened to me, clearly articulated the risks/benefits of the procedure I was considering, then worked with me to schedule the septoplasty as soon as possible, and Dr. Spiegel’s background and expertise put me at ease.

To say I had an amazing experience with Dr. Spiegel and his team would be an extreme understatement. I'm a 23 year old trans woman and underwent Facial Feminization Surgery around 5 months ago. The procedures I had done were Forehead Contouring, Lip Lift, and Trachea Shave. These procedures were my first venture into my gender confirming surgeries and were quite daunting, however walking into my first consultation at Dr. Spiegel's office I was immediately made to feel extremely comfortable by his entire staff, especially the lovely Carole. Dr. Spiegel's staff is full of some of the most endearing, professional, and heartwarming people I've ever come across. Everyone immediately made sure they were using my correct name and pronouns and treated me with nothing but respect. Carole helped my mother and I every step of the way assisting with payments, scheduling, and most of all support. Dr. Spiegel is a genius at what he does. My surgery went flawless and recovery time was minimal (I went back to work after 2 weeks with some swelling left over). 5 months later I could not be happier with my results. I no longer experience any dysphoria in my face, which is something I'm still so grateful for. I visited Dr. Spiegel on September 18th for a procedure. After three weeks, I returned to Boston for a post op visit and everything is looking good. Here's what I can tell you about Dr. Spiegel. First, he's the real deal. What you see in YouTube videos is his genuine nature. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed, answered my questions, and communicated clearly. For such a talent, he is remarkably humble and down to earth. Secondly, he's got skills. I understand --first hand --why he is a world renound surgeon. He performed my procedure at Boston Medical Center. There's many procedures that can be performed in his office surgical suite, but my procedure required the hospital facilities. Great hospital staff. And finally, Dr. Spiegel has great team that knows how to WOW! the patient. Carole did a fantastic job coordinating my case and knows how to make a girl feel good about herself. She was efficient and professional. And she was with me from start to finish. I have deep appreciation for her patience and empathy, cause I emailed her many times during this journey. Dr. Kuperstock is his fellow (think "understudy") and was present for my surgery and follow-up. It was apparent he brings strong knowledge and skill. A few days after my surgery, I had a concern. I emailed the office and they told me I could go to Boston Medical Center to check me out. Dr. Spiegel was in the middle of another surgery, but Dr. Kuperstock was on duty and able to see me. Everything was fine. I left feeling blessed that my Doctors really do care about me. And I can not leave Carly out of this review. She is often the voice you will hear on the phone, and if you make it to the office, she will probably be the first smiling face you see! I still have a few weeks to go before I realize the true outcome of my procedure. But I am confident and optimistic because I have confidence in my doctor. As I write this review, I am currently seven weeks out from having had full facial feminization surgery by Dr Spiegel. The recovery period was rather onerous, at least for the first week, but I did have multiple procedures, done all at once. The results now are most impressive. It all has healed more quickly than I had anticipated and I look incredibly better than I ever imagined I might. Dr Spiegel has the eye and hands of an artist; my appearance is now much more feminine, but with a subtlety that makes it look entirely natural. A friend has told me that I now more strongly resemble my daughters! Dr Spiegel and his staff were wonderfully supportive and positive. Before the operation Dr Spiegel explained in detail all he would be doing and the sequence in which the procedures would be done. He patiently answered all my questions. His confidence in the anticipated results was reassuring. When I returned to his office several days post-op, feeling a bit damaged and worried, the enthusiasm and reassurance I received from him and especially his staff went a long way to calm my fears and restore some patience in me. Two weeks post –op I was looking and feeling so much better that I was able, with the help of some carefully applied makeup, to go out for New Years Eve! I keep looking better as everything heals, and so I am looking forward to updating this review later this year!

Dr Speigel performed a very long and intensive ffs procedure on me and I love the results. I look good before but he really did great work. He removed some bad filler than no one said they could take out. I also did bone work that other docs said that they could do it but it might turn out badly. After suffering from terrible ingrown hairs and bi monthly waxes I decided to finally give Laser Hair Removal a try. I also had a low hairline that really bothered me when I wore my hair up as those pesky little hairs never would reach my ponytail or grow long like the rest of my hair. After asking a few initial questions I decided to schedule my consultation with Kayla and her coordinator Taylor who was also amazing and fit me in a time that worked well with my busy work schedule. The treatment was quick and easy and I was out the door shortly after. I really enjoyed that the treatment was done in a medical spa setting because it felt very clean while still being elegant and chic! Kayla did tell me it would take a couple of sessions but after just one session I have had little to no hair grow back! My one regret is that I didn't come see Kayla sooner! My skin is so smooth and soft and I am going to do other areas as well now. She also does other laser treatments as well as micro needling which I am going to try for some stretch marks I have and want to get rid of! I First heard of Dr. Spiegel , couple years ago , through someone on my Insurance, when I decided to get my breast argumentation. At the time , she had told me if I ever wanted to do FFS I should consider book an appointment with him. Then I decided to check out website out his and learn more about the procedures , couldn’t held to read the reviews and they helped me to take the first step to pick up the phone to call and book an appointment. I Called them after Thanksgiving of 2018 and got an appointment for Jan 23rd , 2019. As soon as you get to the Spiegel Center, that’s when your start experiencing the great Job they do , it’s a great team , from the front desk all the way to the moment you meet up with him. I had an idea what I wanted to have done ( Forehead Contouring and Rhinoplasty ) , he agreed that I needed and he suggested that I should get the Cheek Argumentation , which made a big difference and I’m really thankful for that. Had my surgery done on February 26th 2019 , things went great. I suggest anyone who wants to see him to consider doing what Dr. Spiegel suggests you to do , He knows what he is doing. I had a good experience with my FFS with Dr. Spiegel. They did everything that I asked for. They explained the procedures to the fullest extent. The before and during was great. Recovery not so much as I was stuck there for about 3 hours due to an incorrect judgement call by their staff. Also, they used a wheelchair that was degraded to wheel me to my transport. The foot rest was broken so I had to fold my legs under the wheel chair. Carole who was my coordinator was awesome. She explained much about the process and got me the info I needed to make the right choices for various options in the process. Dr. Spiegel does great work with FFS. He seemed to really care about my recovery and took care of all my concerns afterwards. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for the same FFS I had done.

Our daughter needed facial feminization surgery and it was a very easy process (Boston Hospital was not so great but The Spiegel Center now has its own operating and recovery rooms). It is 5 months post surgery and our daughter is very very happy. Although is takes a full year for complete recovery (jaw, nose , brows , liplift) the before and after is remarkable and natural. Wish I could give them 0 stars. This place is horrible. They convinced me to get my mole removed and the surgeon said it would leave a small dot on my face and there would be no recovery time. Instead they ripped the stitches out of my face and I have a horrible scar that is worse than the mole. Now I have to pay hundreds of dollars for scar removal. Will not be going to them for that. Do not trust the staff here they just want to make money.

First I want to say how helpful and pleasant and professional the staff was at the Spiegel Center. I was a little bit nervous as this was my first time doing Botox. Dr. Spiegel is extremely talented. My 3 year old son was brushing his teeth and fell off the stool in the bathroom and split open skin above his nose between his eyes. It happened at 8pm at night and I sent an email to his website asking to reach out to me. I got an immediate response from Dr. Spiegel. Although a surgeon who specializes in facial feminization wasn't something I was necessarily looking for, the many examples of amazing facial transition surgeries Dr. Spiegel has performed got me thinking that a plastic surgeon so capable of helping people originally born as men transition facially into stunning women would surely be able to help a woman like myself, disfigured by an awful accident and the subsequent bad "corrective" surgeries. I was actually referred to the Spiegel Center by a very prominent NYC plastic surgeon who felt my case was so complicated that only Dr. Spiegel could safely and effectively help me. I was expecting I'd have to deal with an arrogant personality (a prominent trait in surgeons far less skilled) but found instead an extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and down-to-earth man with an even more rare quality in a surgeon of such prestige: the willingness and patience to listen to YOUR vision for yourself. Dr. Spiegel is an artist and an empath who is doing God's work. Only someone who, for whatever the reason (disfigurement, aging identity, etc.) finds themselves so unhappy with what they see in the mirror can understand just how life-changing the impact a highly skilled, conscientious and good-hearted plastic surgeon can be. Dr. Spiegel's philosophy of expert and compassionate service is evident at every level in every medical associate and staff member at the Spiegel Center. My Patient Coordinator, Kat Saltzer, is an angel who flawlessly and patiently executed every phase of the process, and went above and beyond in talking me off the proverbial ledge when I was freaking out about the waiting time for surgery (there's only one Dr. Spiegel and understandably in high demand--well worth what nevertheless feels like an eternity), and even setting me up with a wonderful driver to get me back home safely and comfortably after surgery. I had my surgery last week and because of my history the swelling, as expected, is at the high end of normal, so I still can't see my results, but one thing I can see is the revision to a botched lip lift meant to center my upper lip that instead left me with a deformity that threw my entire face off just as much as the original disfigurement that had put me on the path to reconstructive surgery to begin with. Even with all the swelling I can already see that Dr. Spiegel has given me back a human lip--yes it WAS that bad, and it IS that much better already! One of many painful lessons learned: not every surgeon who claims to do upper lip lifts fully grasps all the nuances of a graceful and natural-looking lip lift...Dr. Spiegel has the skill set to address every dimension that goes into producing a truly graceful and beautiful result. Three months from my surgery is when I'm told I should really be able to appreciate the results of this surgery so I'll be updating my status in about 3 weeks. If I can help just one person make the right decision in choosing a surgeon and avoid a world of pain and regret, I'll be happy to have posted this review. I had facial feminisation surgery with Dr Spiegel at the start of December. The process involved having a consult (I did mine by Skype) and then setting a date for surgery. My date was about a half year out from the consult, the soonest available at the time. (Get in line early! The demand's high). Insurance covered most of the work I needed, a blessing of living in Massachusetts, but I also opted to get cheek implants. Two days before surgery, I visited in person for a pre-op appointment, to go over last minute arrangements and confirm we were on the same page. The staff was all wonderful and the office was neatly arranged. The location isn't the most convenient but I suspect most of Dr Spiegel's clientele come from further afield and so what's a schlep for someone local is no big deal if you're coming hundreds, or thousands, of miles anyway. I walked to the hospital for surgery, about a 45 minute walk from home. My surgery, on a Friday, was uneventful, and the next day Dr Spiegel paid me a visit to check me and clear me for discharge. I'd had a brief moment of low blood pressure and lightheadedness overnight while using the bathroom, and a panic attack over breathing (after nose work, your nose *will* be obstructed) but was otherwise fine. The first day home I was pretty useless but Monday, 3 days after surgery, I was out of the house again (cautiously!) and resumed working. I discontinued painkillers quickly and resumed living my life, albeit very gently, over the course of the week. At the post-op appointment a week after surgery my staples came out, and my cast came off. I got my first good look at the results! Things looked really good. There was some bruising that hadn't faded, and a good bit of swelling in the cheeks. After the cast came off my nose swelled a bit, and the cheek swelling has also been receding albeit slowly. Also, once again the staff at the office was great to work with. Dr Spiegel seemed legitimately proud of the work he'd done when I was there, and I've gotten favorable comments from folks I know. To me, it's a little harder, because I've seen my own face continuously and so the change is not as obvious, but I can tell my face is softer and rounder. It's now not quite a month out and aside from taking extra care of my face things have basically returned to normal. The tip of my nose and my right cheek still have a little soreness when pressed, and my lips, especially the lower one, are still rather numb. There's a small bit of swelling left at the bottom of my cheeks which seems to be receding by the day. My coronal incision isn't obvious despite my thin hair. I have no regrets about my surgery and would (and have) recommended Dr Spiegel to friends.

I usually don’t write reviews but for Dr. Spiegel and his staff I wanted to let you know my experience. From the consultation through to recovery I was well cared for. Dr. Spiegel answered all of my questions during the consult and even walked me through what he was doing during the lip lift to make me comfortable. He, unlike many doctors, personally saw me at my follow up. As for the outcome, it’s ... well it’s perfect. The Cupid’s bow is at the exact height from both sides. It looks so natural that my friends are awed by the results. Dr. Spiegel has the true eye of an artist. I am so happy with my result that I would highly recommend him to friends and family.

As I write this review, I am currently seven weeks out from having had full facial feminization surgery by Dr Spiegel. The recovery period was rather onerous, at least for the first week, but I did have multiple procedures, done all at once. The results now are most impressive. It all has healed more quickly than I had anticipated and I look incredibly better than I ever imagined I might. Dr Spiegel has the eye and hands of an artist; my appearance is now much more feminine, but with a subtlety that makes it look entirely natural. A friend has told me that I now more strongly resemble my daughters! Dr Spiegel and his staff were wonderfully supportive and positive. Before the operation Dr Spiegel explained in detail all he would be doing and the sequence in which the procedures would be done. He patiently answered all my questions. His confidence in the anticipated results was reassuring. When I returned to his office several days post-op, feeling a bit damaged and worried, the enthusiasm and reassurance I received from him and especially his staff went a long way to calm my fears and restore some patience in me. Two weeks post –op I was looking and feeling so much better that I was able, with the help of some carefully applied makeup, to go out for New Years Eve! I keep looking better as everything heals, and so I am looking forward to updating this review later this year!

Dr Speigel performed a very long and intensive ffs procedure on me and I love the results. I look good before but he really did great work. He removed some bad filler than no one said they could take out. I also did bone work that other docs said that they could do it but it might turn out badly. I also had a low hairline that really bothered me when I wore my hair up as those pesky little hairs never would reach my ponytail or grow long like the rest of my hair. The treatment was quick and easy and I was out the door shortly after. I really enjoyed that the treatment was done in a medical spa setting because it felt very clean while still being elegant and chic! Kayla did tell me it would take a couple of sessions but after just one session I have had little to no hair grow back! My one regret is that I didn't come see Kayla sooner! My skin is so smooth and soft and I am going to do other areas as well now. She also does other laser treatments as well as micro needling which I am going to try for some stretch marks I have and want to get rid of! Wish I could give them 0 stars. This place is horrible. They convinced me to get my mole removed and the surgeon said it would leave a small dot on my face and there would be no recovery time. Instead they ripped the stitches out of my face and I have a horrible scar that is worse than the mole. Now I have to pay hundreds of dollars for scar removal. Will not be going to them for that. Do not trust the staff here they just want to make money.

I went to this wonderful place yesterday and my god I fell in love the minute I sat in the waiting room! It's beautiful, crystal-like and just so welcoming. Dr Spiegel, the man himself, was SOOOO NICE! He was so reassuring, confident, and really informative and I'm so glad that he was as down to earth as he seems on social media. I also met with Dr Onir who gave me my first botox and filler EVER and I just feel great. Although a surgeon who specializes in facial feminization wasn't something I was necessarily looking for, the many examples of amazing facial transition surgeries Dr. Spiegel has performed got me thinking that a plastic surgeon so capable of helping people originally born as men transition facially into stunning women would surely be able to help a woman like myself, disfigured by an awful accident and the subsequent bad "corrective" surgeries. I was actually referred to the Spiegel Center by a very prominent NYC plastic surgeon who felt my case was so complicated that only Dr. Spiegel could safely and effectively help me. I was expecting I'd have to deal with an arrogant personality (a prominent trait in surgeons far less skilled) but found instead an extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and down-to-earth man with an even more rare quality in a surgeon of such prestige: the willingness and patience to listen to YOUR vision for yourself. Dr. Spiegel is an artist and an empath who is doing God's work. Only someone who, for whatever the reason (disfigurement, aging identity, etc.) finds themselves so unhappy with what they see in the mirror can understand just how life-changing the impact a highly skilled, conscientious and good-hearted plastic surgeon can be. Dr. Spiegel's philosophy of expert and compassionate service is evident at every level in every medical associate and staff member at the Spiegel Center. My Patient Coordinator, Kat Saltzer, is an angel who flawlessly and patiently executed every phase of the process, and went above and beyond in talking me off the proverbial ledge when I was freaking out about the waiting time for surgery (there's only one Dr. Spiegel and understandably in high demand--well worth what nevertheless feels like an eternity), and even setting me up with a wonderful driver to get me back home safely and comfortably after surgery. I had my surgery last week and because of my history the swelling, as expected, is at the high end of normal, so I still can't see my results, but one thing I can see is the revision to a botched lip lift meant to center my upper lip that instead left me with a deformity that threw my entire face off just as much as the original disfigurement that had put me on the path to reconstructive surgery to begin with. Even with all the swelling I can already see that Dr. Spiegel has given me back a human lip--yes it WAS that bad, and it IS that much better already! One of many painful lessons learned: not every surgeon who claims to do upper lip lifts fully grasps all the nuances of a graceful and natural-looking lip lift...Dr. Spiegel has the skill set to address every dimension that goes into producing a truly graceful and beautiful result. Three months from my surgery is when I'm told I should really be able to appreciate the results of this surgery so I'll be updating my status in about 3 weeks. If I can help just one person make the right decision in choosing a surgeon and avoid a world of pain and regret, I'll be happy to have posted this review. I had facial feminisation surgery with Dr Spiegel at the start of December. The process involved having a consult (I did mine by Skype) and then setting a date for surgery. My date was about a half year out from the consult, the soonest available at the time. (Get in line early! The demand's high). Insurance covered most of the work I needed, a blessing of living in Massachusetts, but I also opted to get cheek implants. Two days before surgery, I visited in person for a pre-op appointment, to go over last minute arrangements and confirm we were on the same page. The staff was all wonderful and the office was neatly arranged. The location isn't the most convenient but I suspect most of Dr Spiegel's clientele come from further afield and so what's a schlep for someone local is no big deal if you're coming hundreds, or thousands, of miles anyway. I walked to the hospital for surgery, about a 45 minute walk from home. My surgery, on a Friday, was uneventful, and the next day Dr Spiegel paid me a visit to check me and clear me for discharge. I'd had a brief moment of low blood pressure and lightheadedness overnight while using the bathroom, and a panic attack over breathing (after nose work, your nose *will* be obstructed) but was otherwise fine. The first day home I was pretty useless but Monday, 3 days after surgery, I was out of the house again (cautiously!) and resumed working. I discontinued painkillers quickly and resumed living my life, albeit very gently, over the course of the week. At the post-op appointment a week after surgery my staples came out, and my cast came off. I got my first good look at the results! Things looked really good. There was some bruising that hadn't faded, and a good bit of swelling in the cheeks. After the cast came off my nose swelled a bit, and the cheek swelling has also been receding albeit slowly. Also, once again the staff at the office was great to work with. Dr Spiegel seemed legitimately proud of the work he'd done when I was there, and I've gotten favorable comments from folks I know. To me, it's a little harder, because I've seen my own face continuously and so the change is not as obvious, but I can tell my face is softer and rounder. It's now not quite a month out and aside from taking extra care of my face things have basically returned to normal. The tip of my nose and my right cheek still have a little soreness when pressed, and my lips, especially the lower one, are still rather numb. There's a small bit of swelling left at the bottom of my cheeks which seems to be receding by the day. My coronal incision isn't obvious despite my thin hair. I have no regrets about my surgery and would (and have) recommended Dr Spiegel to friends.

I recently had surgery with Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel. A surgery is a pretty big deal, so I had lots of contact with Dr. Spiegel's staff and learned more about insurance than I ever really wanted to know. There's a lot that needs to happen, but I feel like they made the process as easy as possible. From my very first interaction with Dr. Spiegel's office to ask about and schedule my consultation, through to my first post-op appointment, I've had a very nice experience. The staff has been very accommodating. Just after booking my surgery, my employer announced they would be dropping my insurance carrier, and it would go into effect about a month before my surgery. I called Dr. Spiegel's office and they were able to reschedule my surgery, moving it up a few months before I would lose coverage! They also put in some extra effort to make sure I took full advantage of my insurance plan after some changes went into effect recently. I am still early into my recovery, but despite the (normal) swelling, I can already see some of the changes that Dr. Spiegel was able to make, and I'm thrilled. Overall, I'm very happy with my decision to have had my surgery with Dr. Spiegel.

Two years ago I had FFS in Boston by Dr. Spiegel and it was life changing... After reading many surgeon reviews online I decided to have an online Skype consultation with Dr. Spiegel. I was immediately at ease and felt heard leaving me full of confidence to move forward and book my surgery. Dr. Spiegel's staff (especially Carole) made scheduling easy and were really helpful in preparing me with what to expect and where to stay which really helped to reduce anxiety about the upcoming trip. Boston was lovely and meeting the Dr. and team in person was great. Every one was extremely warm and welcoming and the Dr. took his time to answer all my questions. Surgery took place in an amazing modern and clean Hospital which I recovered in for a day or two before going back to my hotel with a friend. The entire time during recovery Dr. Spiegel was very easy to reach and the communication and care was excellent. After about 10 days I returned to the Doctor’s office to have my stitches removed and say good bye to everyone before the trip back home. My flight back to Vegas from Boston was a completely different experience. Even though I had bruises and bandages I didn’t experience one instance of being misgendered. It was on the flight back home that I realized what a massive success my surgery had been. Two years on and the effects have been profound. I can not recommend Dr. Spiegel and his staff enough :)

I met with Dr. Spiegel several times regarding surgical procedures that he executed deftly, resulting in a pleasing natural appearance. His skill as a surgeon is extraordinary. In addition, Dr. Spiegel is a remarkably likable and decent person who treats others with dignity and genuine caring. I was confident in the research I had done that led me to Dr. Spiegel, but felt anxious before our first interaction, which occurred on Skype. (Would I maintain my composure and clear headedness while discussing my physical flaws?!) The tension I felt was dispelled within seconds of our meeting and the conversation flowed. There was no pressure, no awkwardness, no distractions from the issue at hand. I have found throughout our interactions that Dr. Spiegel consistently listens well, provides clear explanations of options to address the concerns and goals presented to him, and is unfailingly kind. I recently had FFS done by Dr. Spiegel and as with any medical procedure, I did my homework before choosing him to be my surgeon He came highly recommended from other trans women and I actually saw their results after the procedures were done ... and they were stunning! Dr. Spiegel is not only a highly qualified surgeon but he also has an uncanny appreciation for the aesthetics and the fine points of FFS. The staff are all incredibly kind, warm and helpful. They offer you beverages, make sure you are comfortable, attend to your every need and are knowledgeable about any questions or concerns you may have. I felt very well taken care of. Dr. Onir is wonderful. I get Botox & Juvederm regularly but Dr. Onir is the only practitioner who injected me with no pain at all whatsoever. Usually the lips & eye areas are sensitive but Dr. Onir somehow manages to do it in a way so that you don’t feel a thing. She even sent me a personal text the day after my treatment just to check in and see how I was doing. Katie & Taylor we’re friendly, personable and did a wonderful job as well. Dr. Spiegel is very calm & composed and I felt very confident and impressed by him. This is definitely the place you want to go.

I recently had surgery with Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel. A surgery is a pretty big deal, so I had lots of contact with Dr. Spiegel's staff and learned more about insurance than I ever really wanted to know. There's a lot that needs to happen, but I feel like they made the process as easy as possible. From my very first interaction with Dr. Spiegel's office to ask about and schedule my consultation, through to my first post-op appointment, I've had a very nice experience. The staff has been very accommodating. Just after booking my surgery, my employer announced they would be dropping my insurance carrier, and it would go into effect about a month before my surgery. I called Dr. Spiegel's office and they were able to reschedule my surgery, moving it up a few months before I would lose coverage! They also put in some extra effort to make sure I took full advantage of my insurance plan after some changes went into effect recently. I am still early into my recovery, but despite the (normal) swelling, I can already see some of the changes that Dr. Spiegel was able to make, and I'm thrilled. Overall, I'm very happy with my decision to have had my surgery with Dr. Spiegel.

I had FFS (mandible, lip, cheek, and trachea) about 6 weeks ago, and I’m just over the moon with my results. I recently got a rhinoplasty and forehead contouring surgury done by Dr.Spiegel after doing tons of research I knew he was the doctor I wanted to go with. Everyone in the office is super friendly! My surgury Date got moved up and I had a lot of paperwork and things to do in a short amount of time. Kat was a huge help and I would not of been able to get it all done without her, she’s super friendly and personable so a huge thank you to her. Two years ago I had FFS in Boston by Dr. Spiegel and it was life changing... After reading many surgeon reviews online I decided to have an online Skype consultation with Dr. Spiegel. I was immediately at ease and felt heard leaving me full of confidence to move forward and book my surgery. Dr. Spiegel's staff (especially Carole) made scheduling easy and were really helpful in preparing me with what to expect and where to stay which really helped to reduce anxiety about the upcoming trip. Boston was lovely and meeting the Dr. and team in person was great. Every one was extremely warm and welcoming and the Dr. took his time to answer all my questions. Surgery took place in an amazing modern and clean Hospital which I recovered in for a day or two before going back to my hotel with a friend. The entire time during recovery Dr. Spiegel was very easy to reach and the communication and care was excellent. After about 10 days I returned to the Doctor’s office to have my stitches removed and say good bye to everyone before the trip back home. My flight back to Vegas from Boston was a completely different experience. Even though I had bruises and bandages I didn’t experience one instance of being misgendered. It was on the flight back home that I realized what a massive success my surgery had been. Two years on and the effects have been profound. I can not recommend Dr. Spiegel and his staff enough :)
