I've had bad acne since I was 12 years old (proactive won't touch it). When I was 17 I was put on accurate, which helped a lot but left me with scarring everywhere-I get asked if I'm a burn victim frequently. I'm now 27 and some of my problem areas have been flaring up. I went to AP derm and saw Shari. I gave her my background and answered a few questions. Her first response to me was to ask if I'm pre-diabetic, which I'm not (I'm 5'5" and 250lbs). She then asked more questions about my weight. I told her that my weight has been stable recently but it does fluctuate. I also shared with her that I have an eating disorder. Shari then recommended that I lose weight and that I go on a diet that's low in sugar and doesn't include dairy, such as the whole 30. I've never been so insulted!

I went to Adult & Pediatric Dermatology for a full body scan. My Dr. was Dr. Razzaq. He removed two lesions, One next to my ear and on my shin to send to the Lab to see if they were skin cancer. The lesion on my shin that he removed was a little larger than a nickel an he cut it out all the way down to my shin bone. After about 5 day I went to my primary care because my shin was red from my ankle up about 8 inches. My primary care said it was infected, and gave me a prescription for antibiotics.I then returned to his office and he was on vacation. I saw Dr Ryan she said she did not like the looks of it, and took a picture of it and gave me a prescription for some cream. after several more days I returned to my primary care as it was not healing he suggested I go to a plastic surgeon. for a possible skin graft which I did. The plastic surgeon said that would of been only necessary to remove about 3/16 of an inch for a biopsy and not go down to the bone. He gave me a prescription they use for burn patients. It turns out the lesion was not cancer. It has been 5 or6 weeks now and is still not healed and has been very painful. My leg hurts when I walk so it has been very limiting. I would not recommend my worst enemy to go to Dr.Razzaq.

Recently moved to the area and needed a new dermatologist. I'm not sure why they have a 1-star review. I found them to be responsive, helpful and skilled in their area of medical expertise. I'm certainly going to stay on as a patient and wouldn't unless they did an excellent job.
