Wonderful Doctor, office & staff!

Dr. Miles has accomplished what few doctors have: caring for and actually recommending products that work on my face. I am certainly a fan and would recommend her to anyone struggling with dermatological issues.

Having researched a Dermatologist for some time, I am very pleased to have located a competent, professional, courteous, and friendly Dermatologist. Dr. Miles was very responsive and attentive to my concerns. Her staff is professional. The office environment was inviting and nicely appointed making it relaxing. Thank you Dr. Miles and staff.

I've been a patient for a few years now. While the doctor is super friendly, the wait time for my SCHEDULED appointment was absolutely ridiculous. Please be more considerate of my time. I sat in the waiting room for over an hour waiting to be seen. Not once did nyone inform me there would be a wait, or update me about when I would be seen.

Beware - this office will be incredibly irresponsible with your health. It took me two visits to realize what Miles' office is all about: peddling the expensive cosmetic side of dermatology and not a side that is concerned with your actual health. I saw Dr. Miles for the first time about a year ago because my internist recommended I see a derm about a couple moles I have. Upon my very first visit to Dr. Miles (and what she knew was my first dermatologist visit ever), she did not even do a full skin check. I had to be the one saying, "Well, what about this one? What about that one?'" This alone is totally unacceptable. The doctor told me to keep an eye on the mole I had brought in questioning and to see her again in 6 months. Okay, fine (I didn't think much of it). When I went in 6 months later, she saw me for 5-10 minutes, again did not do any skin check (only looked at the one mole), and told me to keep watching it and come back again in 6 months. You know what? If something looks odd, take a biopsy. You don't just keep telling your patient to come back every 6 months (unless you want to make as much money off said patient as possible). I have since been to another dermatologist who immediately did a full and thorough skin check of my many beauty marks (without being asked, mind you) and she did not one, but TWO biopsies. One of which was on a mole that Dr. Miles did not, at any point, even acknowledge existed. When caught early, skin cancer can be stopped, but I would NEVER trust Dr. Miles with that task. Her treatment was totally irresponsible. At best, it amounts to neglect of a patient. If you're worried about skin cancer, see someone else. Dr. Miles' office staff is another issue entirely. As noted above, I took my health seriously and decided to see a dermatologist who would do so as well. Thus, I had to cancel the follow up appt I had made with Dr. Miles 6 months earlier. I had not received a confirmation call, text, or email from Dr. Miles' office. I believed my appt was on a Tuesday so I called the day before to cancel (I actually tried calling the week earlier, but their office hours are so awful that I didn't get anyone and decided to call back). Again, it was after 3:30pm and the office staff were long gone so I left a message explaining I needed to cancel. Then, I get a voicemail on Tuesday saying my appt was actually that Monday and that now I'd be charged a "no-show fee" despite clearly having best intentions to cancel in a timely manner. (Side-note: the office had called me a couple months ago to let me know I had a balance of about $10 and I could call them to pay it since they don't send statements out for that amount. Oh, okay. So, I'm going to pay you a certain amount basically "because you say so" without any itemization of what the charge was from? That's a hard no.) So, I recently called the office to see if they would wave the no-show fee since I clearly had best intentions and never received any confirmation from them (they dispute this by saying I received a text, but I assure you I did not). The woman I spoke to was rude and dismissive and would not budge on the no-show fee. Save yourself the trouble. Do not put up with the disrespectful antics of this office for what is an abysmal excuse for healthcare.

Dr. Miles is an excellent Dermatologist. She is knowledgeable, informative, caring, and is committed to quality patient care. In addition, she does her very best to stay on time and employs a capable and pleasant staff.

Ms. C.

Great first experience! I had a great first experience. The office is very state of the art and once you get checked in, the staff is extremely nice. Dr. Miles took her time and answered all my questions. The Aesthetician was also very nice and I did't feel like she was trying to push products on me. I would recommend them and will return. Although I'm not pleased with the upfront fee to schedule an appointment, since it's my copay I'm not too bothered by it.

Dr. Miles is the nicest Dr. I have ever been to. She addresses each and every issue you raise and she takes care of each issue so well. Her Medical Asst. Candice is also so nice and helpful. In fact the whole staff is great. I highly recommend Dr. Miles to anyone. It is really difficult these days to actually find a great Dr. who sincerely cares about the patient, Dr. Miles is that Dr. who really cares. Loyal Patient, Charles George Jessup, MD

I tired to make appointment through the phone & the lady I was speaking to was very rude & was yelling at me the whole time. She had a really bad attitude and was just yelling constantly. She kept yelling about she couldn't hear me through the phone but she could hear me perfectly fine and I had to repeat myself over and over again but she kept yelling at me. She wanted to take my credit card information through the phone and I refuse to give it to her I wanted to wait till I got to the office to give it to her but she yelled and said like I told you before this is how you have to pay you have to put down a $40 deposit.

Absolutely professional and courteous Dermatologist and Staff. Dr. Miles is very well-versed in hair and skin care treatments. I liked that she listened to my hair and skins issues and offered various treatments for both. Thanks Dr Miles! I look forward to my next visit to Skin Oasis Dermatology. Eartha G

I most recently visited in May for a chemical peel, the highest concentration they have. At 43, my skin has never looked better! I have also tried the SculpSure, and with just one session, have already seen dramatic shaping and slimming in my upper abs. I have done laser also and only use their skin care regimen for continurf results. Skin Oasis Dermatolgy and Dr. Katina Miles have never disappointed or failed me. I am in love with how pure and clear they have made my face. I and the friends I referred are in love with the results they see! I am a frequent visitor and cannot get enough! Do yourself a favor and trust Dr. Miles with your beauty. She is THE BEST ever!!!

Dr. Miles is very professional. She spent time explaining her diagnosis and treatment and listened attentively and caringly to my concerns and thoughts. Her treatment works and for the first time in years I am seeing improvement. No other healthcare provider has made a difference until now. I am very happy and thank to Dr. Miles and her team. Way to go!!

I had an appointment with Dr. Miles yesterday (10/12/2016). Her and her staff are fantastic!! I feel Dr. Miles took her time to ensure my questions where answered, she made me feel at ease with a skin issue that was embarrassing to talk about, she was wonderful. I highly recommend visiting Dr. Miles for your Skin Care needs.

I recently visited Dr. Miles' office. I was experiencing swelling under my eyes due to an allergic reaction. Dr. Miles knew how to treat my swelling and my symptoms were gone within 24 hours. Dr. Miles is knowledgeable, smart and quick! I never feel like my time is wasted. I ALWAYS get my questions answered.

was referred to this office by my primary doctor, came to my appointment and they asked to leave in a piece of paper my cc information including my cvv code or they wouldn’t be able to see me. im very confused by their policy this is very personal information I just dont feel comfortable leaving in a piece of paper, both of the receptionist told me that it was that way or that they wouldn’t see me. one of them was very rude about it too. so i ended up leaving. very dissatisfied with their approach in providing service.

Sheri D.

I had a better experience with this office than my previous dermatologist. I like the services they offer.

I brought my son to see Dr. Miles for a scar that was healing badly from surgery. She was very attentive and very clear about next steps and what happens after the appointment. I have read some of the other reviews and They couldn't further from experience and from the experience my son had. Dr. Miles was well informed and provided clear alternatives as opposed to just a single solution. I have recommended her practice to friends and family and wound not hesitate to visit her again if needed.

I have been seeing Dr. Miles since 2017, and I cannot say there has been a significant change in my progress of my scalp condition since I've been attending her office. She does not research or take the initiate to figure out what's going on with my scalp. Yet in still, I have been prescribed to take steroids for almost a year, have injections and a topical solution for the rest of my life. How about we run test to figure out what's causing the acne on my scalp, you are Dermatologist and specialize in this practice. How about we figure out why the acne keeps reappearing ? I had to urge Dr. Miles to perform a scalp biopsy to understand why I have significant hair loss. That should've been something done from the beginning of my visits with her, not almost 2 years later. It would've been nice to explore all my options and to know that she truly cares about her patient condition and I am not just another payment collected for the day. The office staff was not polite, nor helpful with helping me. It's almost they hate to be there or have any interaction with the patients. Dr. Miles ask a series of questions and demand a follow-up visit. A follow- up visit for what, you didn't help me my issue. The straw that broke the Carmel back is, I recently switch my health insurer, and when I went to the pharmacy to pick my medicine up, it was declined because my plan did not cover that quantity size. I immediately reached out my carrier for I really need my medicine. My agent reached out to Dr. Miles and she was in complete disgust by the customer service that was surrender to her. My insurance agent spoke to Doctor Miles and requested she'd send a script to Express Scripts for the 50 ml dosage and she said she was just going to change my prescription all together (to avoid the whole authorization issue) because “she is tired”. But if that is the drug you thought best for me then isn’t getting the patient what they need and what is best for them part of the job? De. Miles wants to change my prescription to a cream I've never had before and have had previous reactions to other creams she prescribed in the past. All I need was an approval from Dr. Miles, so that I can continued to get my same bottle size of medicine. As explained by them, the provider will send the prescription to Express Care Pharmacy and the pharmacy will get any documentation of medical necessity from the doctor that is required to get approval from Optum. This is unfortunate because this doctor’s practice requires patients who are prescribed anything requiring carrier authorization to either get their prescriptions from My Express Care Pharmacy or pay for them out of pocket and get no benefit from having insurance. She is not helpful with my problem, or seem to care, as a patient I cannot tolerate this arrangement. Even if a patient pays out of pocket they won’t be able to file a claim because it would deny for lack of prior authorization. DO NOT VISIT THIS PRACTICE!

I have seen her several times now and I have to say I am majority impressed with her bedside manner, thoroughness and her commitment to me as a patient. She has made herself available to me when their have been some issues and it was the weekend and I am blown away by it. She even gave me a hug and I adore that because I needed one that day. She is great

I am glad I finally made the time to see a dermatologist, and am happier to find and see Dr. Miles. Although I could've been more prepared with my questions; during my appointment I felt fully informed and comfortable that Dr. Miles was confident in her treatment plan of my diagnosis. She is very knowledgeable and I felt as if I wasn't the only person dealing with these things and they could be resolved. I could tell she does quite a lot of services which is great if I ever wanted to venture more into cosmetic dermatology. I appreciated the ease of the pharmacy that she works with which made getting my prescriptions easier and even overnight! Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend my friends and family to Dr. Miles.

I have been a patient here for about a year the dr is amazing her front desk staff is very unprofessional and needs CSR training never seen anything like it no greeting they hand you paperwork don’t say anything to you and want you to put your credit card information on the forms I understand people don’t pay there bill but I have insurance and it has covered every appointment I’ve had. I came here because she was a young brown dr and I wanted to support. But No more as a business owner myself never would I allow such unprofessional behavior.

Amazing office Dr Miles is amazing; her office staff are all so sweet. When you come in you are greeted with smiling faces. They are so helpful, when I first came to the office is was so calming, they have a water fall systems with make you feel like you are in a wonderful environment. Her front desk staff are amazing they deal with a lot of rude patients and they still smile and never get mad. I was in one day and a gentleman got mad and walked out as he was walking out, he called the front desk women a B*&^% my kids and I were in the waiting room, that was extremely rude, and she just ignored him and kept doing her job. If you are looking for a great Dermatology office this is the one. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I don't know where to start. I called to make an appointment and was told they had a cancellation the next day (less than 24 hours). They still required me to pay $40 fee over the phone to make my appt when technically I was doing them a favor by replacing a cancelled appt. When I arrived and fill out paperwork, I decided I did not want to fill out the credit card authorization form because I don't like my credit card info just floating around. I explained that to the person at the desk and she wasn't so happy. After several questions on my part as to why a doctor would need to keep cc info on file, I was told me that if I didn't fill it out I would have to pay a $60 deposit for appts plus my copay. I was actually okay with that until she called me to the front and asked me for $100to be seen ($60 deposit for the appt I was there for, and the normal $40 deposit they require for appts (which I paid the day before). I was dumbfounded that they were trying to charge me $60 because I wouldn't let them keep my card info on file as I thought that fee was for future appts. I asked if they had the $60 policy in writing and I was told no, not as of yet. (???? Huh???) I politely asked for a refund of my initial $40 and left without being seen. The policy that hangs on a plaque in the office is different than what they are starting regarding appts. The television in the lobby plays a loop of cosmetic services they provide as they seem to just be about selling selling selling, instead of service! I won't be going back...ever! Oh...also I had a 9:00 appt and at 9:00 there were two people in the lobby ahead of me. I left at 9:30 and still had one person in the lobby and more in the back. So looks like service is pretty slow to me. If I have to pay $40 to show up, shouldn't you at least be on schedule??

Myranda Stephens, REALTOR

The doctor is actually okay, however, her policy to charge you a $40 "deposit" in case you are a no-show is ridiculous. It's $50 if you don't allow them to keep your credit card info on file, which I refused. In this day and age, what business would even take that risk and ask people to WRITE their credit card information on a piece of paper that they'll "file away"? What's even worse was the fact that I had to call them nearly 2 months later and ask "where's my refund for the deposit?" At the time of my visit, they told me it would be automatically refunded after insurance processed everything (which is also questionable for a so-called no show deposit). The receptionist told me I was scheduled for a follow up visit, but when she saw I never came back, she went ahead and issued my refund immediately. Huh? So, had I not called, how long would they have kept my $50? Just seems shady, or at the very least, unprofessional. I will not be back unless they change that ridiculous policy.

My initial visit to Dr. Miles' office was wonderful! I still think that she is very professional and cares deeply about her patient. The rapport established was just fine. The office staff has been changed since my first visits. Therefore, I really regret that I must follow-up with this negative review. During my last visit, I could feel the negativity the moment that I stepped into the office. The front desk staff had very sour expressions and did not care to greet me at all. When my presence was finally acknowledged, I was asked to WRITE my credit card number on a form even though my insurance provider had been thoroughly vetted and coverage had been paid promptly in full in the past. I refused since this is such an archaic office practice. This would leave my credit information vulnerable and I was offered no explanation concerning leaving my credit card information. After I refused to give the receptionist my credit card number, she said that I could speak with the office manager. The office manager happened to be Dr. Miles' mother. She was EXTREMELY POMPOUS, CAVALIER, AND RUDE! I asked to speak with Dr. Miles. She replied pompously, "I am Dr. Miles' mother." She stated that I could not speak with Dr. Miles unless I would give her my credit card number. This is the rudest office staff that I have EVER encountered. Sadly, this overwhelming negative affect will have a devastating affect on Dr. Miles' practice if this rude behavior and requirement of leaving credit card information continues. Dr. Miles is an excellent doctor, however, I would give the staff less than a zero rating.

This business is discriminatory towards veterans. Stay away! The staff was unfamiliar with veteran medical insurance and, as such, does not accept it. Very disappointing. Poor customer service delivered by uninformed and incompetent support staff who could not answer simple questions or comprehend basic information.

Dr. Miles is an excellent Dermatologist. She is very friendly and makes it a point to make sure that her patients understand the different treatment options available to them . She also explains procedures and makes sure that you are comfortable both before, during, and after procedures. Also, the staff at Skin Oasis is very friendly and helpful. They all really make you feel welcome when you come to the office. I highly recommend Skin Oasis.

I scheduled an appointment for a full body skin examination/consultation. I was greeted by the front office staff, who was very professional and amiable. My first encounter with Dr. Miles, however, was very underwhelming. Immediately upon entering the patient room, she looked at me and told me that I need to take out my extensions because it's pulling out my hair. There was no warm greeting at all. She gave a very dry hello and failed to make any attempt to engage in small talk. She made her comment and began to examine my body. The most frustrating part of the exchange was her inability to expand on her observation. She could have began a conversation around my hairstyle and made a genuine effort to address something see saw as a problem. The examination took less than 10 minutes. Afterwards, I met with a sales clerk? who showed me a few products that I could use for my skin. She didn't appear to be a medical expert at all, nor did she evaluate my skin. She DID show me very expensive product. First impressions are lasting impressions and I was not impressed!

Morgan Jones

Lovely office and doctor. The front staff is EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. I was there on two occasions where they dealt with very rude clients in a respectful and decent manor. The doctor herself is very helpful and informative. Will be staying at the office for a long time!

Great Doctor & Staff I traveled and am traveling quite a distance to see Dr. Miles, as she was referred to me by a friend. I live in Alexandria, VA and as you can see, she's located in Gambrills, MD. I wanted a doctor who knows how to treat skin with melanin as I have dealt with adolescent acne as well as adult acne, and have pitted scarring. I have seen Dr. Miles twice, and have done 2 sessions of PRP with Eclipse Mircopen Microneedling to reduce pore size as acne scarring. So far, I can see a difference. Dr. Miles is patient and honest in her assessment, and I was informed it will take several treatments, but, I am happy to see positive changes. The staff is great and I haven't had to wait in the waiting room long at all.

PurpleMomof3 D

Dr. Miles and her staff were very professional. Even down to her students who were at her practice during my visit. I was greeted by her front desk as soon as I walked into the office. Dr. Miles front desk staff made my children feel less scared about being there. They offered my children a free toy and a sticker. I appreciate the nurse who explained to me about the medical student who was also present at the office. She asked if I would prefer for them to be present or not. Of course, I didn’t mind. The doctor was very knowledgeable and thorough. The office was clean and organized. They do have a credit card policy. I was informed about it when I made my appointment by Dr. Miles front desk staff. At first, I did hesitate about their policy. After the front desk explained the policy to me when I scheduled my appointment and after I read the policy on their website. I understood it. Everyone is required to put a card on file. Now a days its seems like a lot of companies require credit cards on file. Look at Amazon and other websites we all put our credit card on. Dr. Miles system must be secure since she has apparently had this policy for years. It makes sense that a card goes on file for no show fees or outstanding balances ( if your insurance doesn’t pay their part). If a person doesn’t show up to an appointment and doesn’t call, then they should be required to pay. Their spot could have gone to another patient who could have been in urgent need of an appointment. I understand they request a credit card to be on file. I am shocked by the previous bad reviews from past patients. Evidently, the ones complaining didn’t read Dr. Miles policy or listen to her courteous front desk. Upon my arrival and departure, the nurse and front desk were very efficient. I even received a text message to confirm my next appointment upon my departure. Keep up the great work and amazing staff. My children and I will be returning.

I was going to make an appointment for Dr. Katina as a new patient. But I was told that I needed to pay $40 to book an appointment as a first time patient. What?!?! That's more than my co-pay. I'm looking to support a African American Doctor but you want to charge me just to book an appointment. I haven't earned your trust as a patient and your office hasn't earned mine. So if you don't trust that I will show up for my appointment, then how can I trust you with my credit card info. I haven't even visited your office. So sad and disappointing.

Let me just start off by saying I love Dr. Miles and all of her staff. Upon returning from a year of being overseas, I begin to experience bad acne break-outs. I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ACNE. EVER. I was actually afraid to see a dermatologist because my sister (who has had bad acne in the past) would go to different dermatologist that only made her skin worse. Dr. Miles was recommended to me by a family friend. It took me approximately three weeks to get an appointment. However, that was due to it being August and August is back to school time. I finally had my appointment with Dr. Miles and she addressed all my issues and concerns. Furthermore, she prescribed me some medicine for my face and gave me papers to read over that would help prevent future breakouts. Dr. Miles, also, informed me about the different things that I eat that can cause breakouts. Overall, her advice was very well needed and appreciated. The pictures below are from when I had my breakout (you can see my skin was dry and dull) to how it cleared up two weeks later (healthy and vibrant looking skin). Looking at some of these reviews, people are upset about a stupid card being on file or the office staff. First and foremost, I have never been to a doctor, hospital, ER center, dentist, even college, that tells you that you do not have to keep your card on file. All my doctors make you keep a card on file. Moving forward, the office staff are very professional and friendly. Everytime, I run out of medicine or need to know about a product for my face, they are able to assist me. Again, I enjoy the staff at Skin Oasis. I always look forward to my next appointment and/or next facial.

Kelly Gates

Dr. Miles has excellent patient communication skills. She is a great listener as well. Her demeanor is kind and caring. She is very professional. Once she chooses the needed treatment, she speaks to the patient first, with respect, and then she communicates with her nurse what will be prescribed. The front staff is efficient and professional. The environment is clean and welcoming. There was no wait, I was seen as soon as I completed my paperwork. The deposit policy is clear and given up front. As a business owner myself, I completely agree with the requirement. The policy ensures a respect for the time of the staff and other patients. I am pleased with Oasis Dermatology and I highly recommend this practice.

I love Dr. Miles but the staff at the front desk really needs to work on their customer service. No good morning, very dry and monotonous. This is on the phone as well as in person. As for the Dr. Miles, I would recommend her. Just try to come with patience, a positive attitude and focus on your appointment.

I have been with Dr. Myles for over a year. She’s a great physician that keeps your interest in mind. I’ve never had any problem with the front desk office being hospitable either, they’re super friendly and I’ve never had a bad experience on that end. The service though is abysmal. My appointment scheduled at 9:00 AM which I arrived for at 8:51 AM wasn’t even recognized until 9:30 AM when I asked if I was even on the list to be told that they put me in the system at 8:52 so they have no idea why I haven’t been called. I didn’t see either of them get up to ask, and again I’ll say they’re super friendly people but come on. I wasn’t told until 9:50 AM where an assistant came out and said “Mr. Matthews! ... we’ll see you in 5 minutes”. I won’t be here again. And if you do go here when the lady with the tablet asks you what’s wrong realize everything you tell her you’d like to get checked out is what’s you’re paying for. Don’t volunteer anything you don’t want to cover.

Her office staff are pleasant and she is very professional. I left the previous dermatologist because she had terrible bedside manner this is not the case here. I don't mind driving farther for better service.

Very disappointed in this business. They require a credit card to be kept on file, or you can not be seen. My appointment was May 2017. They collected my co-pay at the time of $30. It is January 23, 2018 and they just ran my card for an additional $10. When I called, although the girl was very polite, she informed me that it was for the difference of my co-pay. A co-pay that they failed to collect correctly in May. She also stated that they do not send bills out or notification of past due amounts for $10.00 or less. I find this ridiculous and possible not correct with guidelines. I advised her that the reviews I viewed on Google and Yelp, are the reason I cancelled my appointments. Reviews show that people have issues with charges without authorization.

Shanell Rainey

TANISHA

Had an appointment scheduled. Arrived on time and was told because I refused to leave my credit card information on file, the doctor would not see me as this is her policy. This is something that should be told to new patients when scheduling the appointment to avoid wasting everyone’s time. Although I have insurance and no co pay. I was still expected to leave my PII with people who do not hold an approved clearance to do so. When I called and spoke with Ms. Barbara she instantly respond with an attitude when I asked about the policy. I understand some people try to avoid paying their bills however everyone should not be made to give PII because of those people, especially when you have insurance and no copay. There goes another black owned business.

Kel Sesay

The Dr. Katina Miles was great, but the front desk person is AWFUL. Very unprofessional, very nasty attitude that I had to correct, and sets a very negative experience. I was overcharged during my initial visit on 2.5.19, and was told to apply the overage to my next visit, which would be free. I came there on 3.5.19 and was told that I had to pay my co-pay, because the amount I overpaid was applied to 'no show' appointment in December of last year. I've never made an appointment in December, and the front desk person insisted that I pay. I declined and told her that I will not be coming back. I would've given one star, my only visit with Dr. Katina Miles was pleasant as she was very attentive to my needs in trying to improve my skin. Unfortunately, I cannot continue to go to a place that is filled with unprofessional people who cannot at least display excellent customer service and a positive attitude. UPDATE: I just received a call from the Office Manager threatening to sue me if I do not take this review down, as she claims that this is defamation and untrue. I would've loved to get this situatuon resolved as Dr. Katina Miles is a great dermatologist and would love to continue my treatment with her, but clearly no effort has been made to resolve this issue.

Dr. Miles and her staff have been wonderful to both me and my daughter. I have never waited long to be seen. Dr. Miles takes her time and listens to me and all of the treatments have worked well. Keyvette is the esthetician who applied my mini Melanage chemical peel. She answered all of my concerns about the product (I was nervous.) and she took the time to explain all of the at home steps and what to expect. I'm four days into the process but I see some great results already. This is an awesome dermatology practice for medical and cosmetic treatments!

Dr. Miles and staff are completely professional and efficient. I’ve been to her office on two occasions and I was thoroughly pleased! Keep up the good work!

Dr. Miles is very good, both technically and is a good listener with a pleasant personality.

Dr. Miles spends time explaining everything and answering your questions. I never feel rushed and I never feel pressured to buy products or additional services. I spent years and a lot of money seeing a doctor in Washington, DC that was highly recommended but I never saw results. With Dr. Miles I saw improvement to my skin tone and texture in 6 to 8 months. This could be because Dr. Miles is aware of the latest treatments and techniques and is not resting on her reputation.

Everyone was polite and friendly. All the details were explained. I felt very comfortable before, during and after my visit. Look forward to next visit.

Dr. Miles is lovely. Very friendly, thorough, etc. My only problem is I had filled out most, if not all of the paperwork online before my appt. Yet, when I got there I had to fill it all out again, on a tablet. My appt was at 9:45. I got there at 9:30. I wasn't seen till 10:30. Nothing like an hour wait.

Worst customer service experience ever! The doctors mother who works at the front desk is extremely disrespectful. I canceled an appointment 24 hrs prior via phone call to the office and the front desk never actually removed the visit from that day.(Not discrediting anyone from their job mistakes happen) Not only did I call but followed up and request for someone to look into the message when I called to reschedule and no one ever returned my call. For me to turn around later and get bill for $100 that I was sent to collections. I called the office the women her mother Barbara refused to look into the concern or to advise the doctor of the situation. I had the Dr on my mind for a while to call and schedule my treatment but after the disguisting way her mother treats her patients I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. Im sure $75 missed appt fee wasnt going to make or break the practice. Doctors mother was rude from jump and hung up the phone when I didnt raise my voice not 1x but to simply ask her to look into the email as I asked initially. Yes maybe my fault for never calling back but if her Mother treats her pts this way I can only imagine how many of the past pts or family members have felt this way. I have never completed a review in my life but after that experience I believe the entire community should know! Great Dr at the visit worst staff more like her mother. I am a mother and a daughter and I would never disrespect someones Mom. But this lady needs some love in her life or was having a bad day taking it out on the pts. NOT COOL. All I asked was to look into the problem she wouldnt even take my number when I actually called to take care of the concern and schedule an appointment (which she didnt even know) Im glad she ruined that before I put any funds into this business. She ran off a great person and was it really worth it? Just because its your childs practice doesnt mean you treat people like they arent real people. Mistakes happen you should learn that in healthcare (its the patients fault because someone didnt follow thru with 1 msg. ) worst phone call experience ever..

I really enjoyed seeing Dr. Miles for nearly 2 years. I felt that my skin was improving greatly and she was very attentive to me as a patient. However, I was extremely disappointed at my last appointment. I was asked to fill out a credit card authorization form. As someone who had been a victim of identity theft, I am extra cautious now of where I leave my personal information. I did not feel comfortable leaving a credit card on file. I tried to explain this but the young lady at the front desk appeared to be having a bad day and stated to her co-worker that she was "tired of everyone complaining about this form". I had been to see Dr. Miles on at least 3 or 4 previous visits and there was never a problem with a past due bill or insurance payment. My other thought was if everyone is complaining about the form, maybe change the form or look at your offices' policies. The day that I was there I only had $50 in my wallet, I do not carry my credit cards on me. My copay is $10, so in my mind when I left home that morning for my appointment I had more than enough money. Needless to say when I explained that I did not want to leave a credit card on file, she told me I could leave cash. I told her I only had $50. She then stated that I could not be seen without my credit card or cash deposit. I decided to cancel my appointment and I have not been back and have no plans of returning. I feel that this is unfortunate because as I said Dr. Miles is an amazing dermatologist. Her office practices are less than optimal.

Dr. Miles is kind, personable, thorough, and knowledgeable. She answers all my questions without seeming rushed. I've recommended her to several family members.
