At the moment the business gets a rating of 4.0 out of 5 and the rating was based on 192 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is quite good, and it is based on a very high number of opinions, so we can conclude that the assessment is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they are satisfied with the business, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Doctor belongs to the category of Urgent care center.
My daughter was misdiagnosed with Osgood-Schlatter Disease after the Dr told me the X-ray was normal, but the Radiologist made an assumption based on my child's symptom of knee pain. The Dr's exam of where her pain was should have told the Radiologist it wasn't Osgood-Schlatter Disease according to the Orthopedist. Even though the staff was pleasant, the Dr and the X-ray tech that assisted my daughter thought I was crazy when I mentioned she needed to be tested for Lyme Disease. Before I went to Patient First, I was advised by my daughter's pediatrician to have tests for Lyme Disease given her symptoms. The X-ray tech was rude to me when my answer to what happened to her knee was she woke up with the swelling. He asked if I lived in bushes when I mentioned the possibility of Lyme disease. After the Dr said my daughter's X-rays were negative, he ordered bloodwork for Lyme Disease and said they will have the results back in 3 - 4 days. Upon leaving, I asked what laboratory they use for blood tests and I was told Labcorp. It is now 5 days later and I'm being told the results are not in and generally take 5 or more days. I have since taken my daughter back to her Pediatrician and the Orthopedist who are fairly certain she has Lyme Disease. We are having trouble tracking down my daughter's results now, Labcorp says she is not a patient there. Every time I call Patient First I get a different answer and the run around. We will never return to this Urgent Care facility.
Clean, courteous staff and always in and out!
Horrible avoid at all costs!Tell somebody how much money you are charging them before they leave!
Very busy, but they did accurately tell me it might take 2 hours to be seen and discharged. Doctor was in a hurry, but listened carefully and asked questions. I left knowing a little bit more as to what was ailing me.
Quick prompt services and very nice
I AM DISCUSTED!!! I just went there for preop and I was told to leave because the Doctor had the "discretion" of saying no to my case because they hadn't seen me from the beginning! It's funny how everything was going ok till I said that it was a "workers compensation" case things went sideways!! One lady was yelling from the room "tell him to go to the hospital"! This is absurd!!!!!
They told us on the phone they have a doctor on call, but it was a nurse practitioner who was not sure what she was doing. We came in for stitches and had to go to Suburban Pediatric, because Patient First was lost and confused.
Super clean, friendly staff, Dr Mazhari diagnosed my bronchitis and I got my prescription filled on the spot! Nothing better than one-stop shopping when you're not well and want to get home and in bed!
I have been into the Patient First couple of times with my children and today for the first time I needed medical attention on Sunday at 6pm myself. It was painless and very fast process. Very nice and smiley nurse took my vitals and they did lab work to determine if my health was compromised by bacteria. Yes, it was and I was prescribed antibiotics. I was leaving with the medication in the small bag. In total I might have spent like 30 minutes. Very happy with this facility and will be going back each time my family needs an urgent care. Thank you.
Very fast service, great patient care. Best Urgent Care center I visited.
Really like this location! It is very clean and tidy. The staff was pretty good when checking me in. They were not rude like a lot of the staff in reception at doctor's offices can be. They were very quick and I didn't wait too long for the doctor to arrive and speak with me. I was in and out in 40 minutes. I don't like being there longer than an hour so this was everything I could ever ask for! I also thought the doctor I saw (forget his name, but was informed he was a supervisory role for the clinic) was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and courteous. I am considering asking him to be my primary care.
Went there first thing on a saturday morning with what turned out to be a sinus/ear infection. I arrived as the doors were opening while feeling super crappy. The staff was kind and efficient. There was a very short wait in the very clean facility and the doctor took care of my problem quickly and well. Update: I had to go back because after 10 days of amoxicillin I still didn't feel good. They set me up with an extremely young and awkward (read inexperienced) physician assistant who sent me home with Sudafed. Three days later I found a primary care doctor and it turned out the infection was still going so he really was unhelpful and a waste of time and money. I guess the take away is that this place can be hit or miss.
The staff was friendly, professional and extremely caring. While going to any urgent care facility is never something I look forward to, this is a place I wish I had in my neighborhood. The receptionist, X-Ray Tech, Medical Assistant, and Dr. Kerness were all outstanding.
Worst urgent care Doctor (Tolawak Beyene) that I have ever experienced. Ran unnecessary tests and rung up extended hours onto the insurance. Showed minimal knowledge on how to check someone suffering from simple bacterial upper respiratory infection/acute bronchitis. Never discussed any precautions, OTC relieves, just slapped some ZPak. Next to mininum communication what so ever. Never going back again.
Quick service (although dr took a while to finally come in and see us) and very clean. Leon (phlebotomist) was the best we have ever seen....not even a tiny bruise where he drew blood!!!!
I like the professional atmosphere. Calm. Quick. Courteous. Thank you
This is our number one option for care in Rockville. The service is excellent.
I'm very pleased with the whole staff especially Dr. Jordan T. Byrd. Thank You!
Horrible place for a person and family of a person who is sick. From the moment you walk in you are treated like nothing and they do not even want to explain what they charge you. When my husband walked in they did not want to let me in with him. The only reason we stayed is because I do not drive and my husband feels very bad. I DO NOT recommend this to anyone. Go to Righttime care.
Very supportive staff, did not have to wait at all, everybody was very polite. Thanks patientfirst.
Customer Service at the front desk mirla was terrible. One of the worst if not the worst experience I've had. There was no one in the lobby but I was not acknowledged nor instructed on how to sign in. The other staff members were extremely helpful.
Excellent care and service
Ok experience - Leaving one star due to billing office ineptitude. I have called 4 times for them to rectify my billing issue and they have done nothing!
Overpriced service nearby cvs minute clinic cheaper
My overall experience was great! Everyone was attentive to my needs as a patient. John the Phlebotomist was awesome!
I have visited this Patient First facility before and can say that the service, the quality of the care, and speed with which both are provided are amazing. I love this model of care—and your Rockville location should be the standard for care for your entire company.
Why do they need to verify employment?
Do not use this facility or buy anything from them, staff are dishonest and misleading. The lady at reception tells you can use the clinic pharmacy as they have the same prices as CVS & Walgreens , which is completely not true. We visited the clinic on 6/12 for a sprained ankle after XRay the doctor refers us to an orthopaedic doctor and prescribed an ankle boot. A moment later a nurse came in with an ankle boot and started fitting it , when we asked him about its cost he said it's covered by insurance, as we were leaving we also asked the ladies at the reception and they said the same thing. 2 days later we found that they charged 267$ for the ankle boot discounted by 115.84$ and nothing to be covered by insurance and leaving us with 151.16$ That is simply outrageous as an ankle boot is sold for 70$ in most retail stores ( including CVS & Walgreens) , and that we were not informed with the price even after we asked the clinic staff about the price and payments more than once. We asked to simply return the boot as it has only been 2 days and they still refused. When we made a complaint, they replied that their front office staff and treatment area staff are not qualified to give any answers regarding billing. So if this is the case, their staff should have been upfront about it and just tell us that they didn't know instead of misleading us.
It took just a few minutes for me to see a doctor. His examination was short and explained my condition to my understanding.
I am so happy that Patient First came to our part of town. Until then, the urgent care options were awful (far away, outdated, crowded, long wait times, etc.). Patient First is modern, clean, fast, well equipped, and has convenient hours and absolutely wonderful medical and front desk staff! We even take our young kids to Patient First now (used to take them to Kinder Mender), because it’s much closer to our house and every doctor/PA/NP we have met has been wonderful with children. I remember in particular how Dr. Harnish (I think that’s his name) was so kind and calming to our young son after he had been in a sledding accident. The doctor checked our son’s nose and mouth (through a lot of blood and swelling) for injuries so gently, and talked to him soothingly the whole time. No tears and luckily nothing broken either! All medical staff always seem to genuinely care about you and making you better. They are always smiling and friendly. Please don’t ever go away or change, Patient First!!
I may have lucked out with time, but I did not have to wait at all! That aside even, every single person I encountered from admin to nurses to doctors were so nice and highly knowledgeable. If you need urgent care, this is a definitely a place you can feel confident coming to.
They are always there. They are kind, courteous, and the doctors are great. Yes, you have to wait your turn. But they are much kinder and more accommodating than my regular doctor. And alot better than the emergency room. My only problem is that they are 45 minutes away. There is a closer urgent care, but I know I can trust Patient First. And, they do xrays, and have medications there for prescriptions. Everyone should go there.
Very efficient employees and process, very clean facility. Doctor was terrific.
BEST urgent care experience ever! I was just there today. This place has it's own pharmacy, so no running around and waiting at the pharmacy when you are hurt or sick! They were even able to give me an injection for pain; the other urgent care laces I have gone have never offered such things, so I didn't been know it was possible. The staff were all great, very friendly and helpful. The sign in procedure uses a touch screen, which makes it easier. The waiting area is large and comfortable. The treatment area is set up like the emergency room kind of, not just a few separate doors to little rooms like other urgent care places (Fast Track, Right Time, etc). From now on, this will be my first choice for urgent care needs!
This location is great! My entire experience here was remarkable. The waiting lounge is spacious and comfortable. The rooms are bright, clean and well kept. Everyone I dealt with, from the front desk staff, all the way to the physician, was very friendly, courteous and super professional. This was my very first visit to Patient First, and I was was pretty impressed. Thanks guys.
I’m new to the area and don’t yet have a primary physician, and have been so happy with Patient First urgent care. Dr. Lilit Vardanyan is both very insightful and very caring. I recommend her most highly!! Also the medical/nursing assistants here are very positive too. The wait times are also very reasonable. The clinic is overall very efficient. It’s also quite convenient that they have an in-house pharmacy, so you generally leave with the prescribed medicine in hand.
We have unfortunately had to use patient first multiple times this winter. Every time we've gone, we've been seen quickly, and the process from check-in to discharge ran very smoothly. The staff have always been kind, and have great bed side manner. Would definitely recommend to others.
support staff was very nice and friendly...the doctor however was not helpful at all. I had to go to another urgent care where they really helped me. I will not be going there any time soon .
I went to Patient First for a Pre-Op Physical. What a wonderful experience. Clean, neat, calm and quiet...with all staff courteous and extremely helpful, they must all take courses in Bedside Manner!!!
Shay and Donnie were EXCELLENT .. both personable and professional with great respect for my time as well as comfort level .. If all Patient First are like this one, I'm not sure why everyone doesn't opt for care here as opposed to doctors office visits.
This was my first visit at Patient First and I must say they do live up to their name. The office is so clean, the workers, nurses, and doctors are so helpful and pleasant. I really didn't want to leave because I felt so comfortable there. This was the best experience I ever had at an urgent care center. The wait time after getting the blood work and chest xrays was quite long but the wonderful service I received, made it worth the wait. I honestly would be willing to wait two hours just to be in this loving atmosphere. Thank you so much for your care.
Very impressed overall. Will use the services if my Primary Care Physician is not available. Would recommend to others, Exceptionally efficient.
Good luck finding price before ,all these five stars could be paid reviews
I came to Patient First at the recommendation of my doctor's office, seeking a pre-op physical. I was pleasantly surprised by the bright, clean facility and the friendliness of the staff. I was in and out in less than an hour - which is truly impressive given the wait time at other places is often longer than that!!
Clean and modern facilities, efficient process, extended hours, knowledgable staff
If I could give that location no stars, I would. This is yet another Patient First location that treats you like a number. Poor customer service, uncaring, rude, blunt, and incompetent doctors. My son had an asian doctor who did not let his dad get a word in edgewise, and simply said there was nothing they could do, and to see a primary care physician. Anywhere, but there. Useless.... I would mention which location was nice, but those useless doctors might go there. And please......I do not want a generic apology that has been copy and pasted, like under all of the bad reviews. I do not wish to speak to anyone about the experience, because clearly nothing has changed, and nothing will.
Attention was pretty freaking quick. I thought i was going to spend the whole day in there since it is a walk in clinic but I probably spent 1 hour for the whole visit. They have their own pharmacy so you don't have to go out of your way to purchase your medicine. Prices were what they advertised in their website. It is a bit in the pricey side, but you can see what your visit will cost beforehand.
Really long wait ... want to like this place as it is clean but over an hour and 15 minutes to see a Doctor on a Sunday morning (40 minutes in waiting room with no Doctor) Family subjected to awful news on the TV in the waiting room.
I came to the clinic for hives. DR. Nyuegen saw me but when I asked her if there were hives on my back she didn’t even look and her response was “I don’t know what your back normally look like”. I found this response I inadequate because a doctor should know what hives look like and she didn’t even try to examine me. I think this is because I am black. Although she gave me a prescription I just felt she was rude and my visit wasn’t thorough. I was disappointed and felt disrespected. The doctor lacked cultural humility.
I liked my doctor, his advice was amusing and accurate. The lady who registered me needs to be paid more. I have literally never met someone more efficient in their job. All told they saved me a trip to cvs (they filled my scripts there) and got me started 12 hours earlier than waiting for a pcp or minute clinic to open.
Awesome patient flow systems. Great health care staff. Great administration staff.
I came in there just the other day after work. It was very quiet which was great because I was in and out in less than 45 min. The staff is very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. It is best to understand that you won't always come here and have it be an easy in and out experience but the staff works very hard to make sure everyone is seen and they should be commended for that. Absolutely recommend!
I had to had blood drawn, the person that did it seemed new, she had to poke me few times, and mind you the first time she poke me, no blood was coming out because she poke me on the wrong spot! I was left with a big bruised because she kept hitting my arm to get the vein and poking wrong
Never been to a better medical facility! Dr. Mazhari and the entire staff here are friendly and helpful. Always a great experience at this location and I always feel welcome and treated like an individual, not just a "another patient".
Quick registration. Barely waited to be admitted and doctor was readily available and knowledgeable. Great service for non scheduled visit. Much thanks to the staff.
The Dr. was through and very friendly and the guy who takes blood was really amazing. I am afraid of needles and he made me feel comfortable and made it a painless experience. I would and have recommended this location to my friends and family.
Quick, competent, complete and caring medical treatment, provided at a clean, modern, professional facility. An MD seen, xrays and blood work performed, results back quickly, diagnosis made and prescriptions filled, all at one place and in one visit. And then, a follow up phone call the next day to see if all was well! Cannot think of anything else that could have been done. Great service, superb management.
Best Urgent I’ve ever been to. I this was my PCP office. Service is always fast, accurate, nice and pleasant. Not a single complaint. Just wish they were 24hrs so I can avoid hospitals when I have an urgent matter.
Clean, fast, friendly, professional, exceeded my expectations!
The staff were knowledgeable, quick and I was in and out with EKG, Chest Xray, Diagnosis and medication in 31 minutes!!
Very clean and very professional. Excellent one-stop service!
They told me that they would fill my prescription at my pharmacy last night, I went to my pharmacy last night and they didn't have anything for me.... so I had to go back here the next morning (late for work...a huge inconvenience)and find out why..... When they looked me up they said my transmission failed!!! Why didn't they resend it.... why didn't anyone call me to let me know!!!! I'm two days with out my prescription. AND ITS AN ANTIBIOTIC!!! They don't care about their patients first. It's money first!!!!!
Everything was good until when I need HOT water, and you do not have there. You should add HOT water machine in the clinic.
Dr. Nguyen and the entire staff are kind, thorough and competent.
Very satisfied, and very happy that I went there. and from now on, only place where ill go to see doctor it would be PatienFirst!!
My first time at Patient Care, and I give them a 10 in all categories. Efficient, well organized, caring, knowledgeable, kind, great care, speedy. Doctor Pham was great. He even provided book recommendations and provided other sources of knowledge which I greatly appreciated. Amanda at the front desk was great about answering all of my questions. Very welcoming staff. Very accommodating. They get a 10 in all departments: care, efficiency, kindness, speed, cleanliness and compassion! The nurse was great, the phlebotomist was gentle, the parking plentiful, the location easy to get to, the wait time non existent. Great place to go for care when you are sick.
No appointment needed. Went on Friday morning for a physical. Clean, friendly staff, and Doctor was knowledgeable, Dr. Ramin Mazhari was great.
Very very long wait times even if there not many patients there. Really hesitant to go there, but had to because of situation. They made us wait more than an hour even before consultation. Would not go there again.
Terrible place! They will provide you one thing, and after that they gonna charge you something different.
Fast service, friendly staff. I would recommend to a friend.
Amazing service, knowledgable, caring and compassionate staff, we have gotten a very good experience every time we have gone to this place.
It bothers me that ppl so casually leave negative reviews, so I felt compelled to give my positive feedback from my visit today. I walked in coughing like a maniac and was treated quickly, kindly, courteously and with professional expertise. I was diagnosed quickly with exam and x-ray and given appropriate prescriptions. A+ experience in under an hour.
One of the staff does not know how to do her Job. Im already paying alot of money for my Health insurance and I called my Health insurance agent that specifically told me that these things are covered and wanted to talk to \her who was processing us, but she kept saying that there is a charge. I think she was just embarassed that she was wrong and couldn't admit. Completely 100% unprofessional. Terrible !
I love coming this facility. It is clean and everyone there is professional. I hardly have to wait after getting checked in and the nurses are fast and professional. The doctors take time to explain and no one denies me the right to more extra care, plus they have a pharmacy inside so I don't have to go out for my medicine. I had negative experience with my primary doctor, so I choose to come here first before I go to my actual doctor.
I couldn’t be more pleased with the service and the people here. I highly recommend it to anybody who needs a primary care location or urgent care. I feared a broken bone in my foot and they have x-ray facilities right on site.
Everyone was exceptionally helpful. Donnie the nurse assistant was friendly and professional. Immediately after registration I was called to the back and seen. NO WAIT! The facility was bright and clean too! I wish I could remember the young lady who registered me in.....She was OUTSTANDING! She was patient, as I left my wallet and insurance ID card at home. She gave me other options so that I didn't have to leave and come back. I will definitely return again. Kudos!!!
Terrible experience. I had an emergency eye care visit I had with Dr. Lilit Vardanyan and she misdiagnosed my eye condition and provided medication that worsened my eye problem. She inserted drops of an eye stain in my eye and examined it with an optical microscope. I was told there was no serious problem, my eye was just inflamed, and was given some prescription eye drops. Within hours the pain got even worse and I was not even able to sleep. The next morning I called Patient First to explain my situation and I was simply told to follow up with an ophthalmologist. I ended up driving to Shady Grove Hospital where an eye examination was conducted. Right away I was told that it was very evident that I had a scratched cornea. Never again will I return to this facility.
Stay away!!!!
Always helpful
I have gone to this facility a few times and they have always treated me efficiently and effectively, but my most recent experience elevated them to a new level - and here's why. I came in late one night with a problem in my wrist. They took several X-Rays because a wrist is complicated. Then the Physician prescribed some medication. This all happened in less than an hour. The next day I saw an Orthopedist with a specialty in hands and wrists. After examining me, this Doctor said the X-Rays were so well done that he did not need to do any more of them and then he said to do exactly what the Physician at Patient First recommended. He did not need to prescribe anything. He was impressed...so was I.
The doctors, nurses and staff are always courteous and helpful without a long wait to be seen. It's also a nice plus that they can also provide prescriptions right at the facility! I'm more than pleased with the care I receive here.
Son have bad sore throats for 3 days... checked - blood work, throat swap & diagnosed and dispensed medicine within 30-min... Wow!
Usually, I hesitate to write a review. I go to visit my Primary Physician Dr. Mazhari, I am very happy with his service and excellent service overall provided by Patient First of this location as well as others.
The nurses and PA who helped me were extremely professional and effective in caring for the laceration on my finger.
Excellent service. No wait time. Prescription medicine provided on the spot. Very professional staff. Best urgent care clinic I have ever visited.
I went with my boyfriend the other day. i chose this clinic for him to go to because of the good reviews i have read online. as we walked in i noticed how clean and nice it was inside. the waiting area is kept clean and its big. i figured we were going to have to wait a little since there was two other people waiting, however they actually called us up just a few min after signing in. The guy at the front desk was polite and professional. my boyfriend says he liked the provider who saw him as well, he says he was very professional and he overall felt satisfied with his visit. we would highly recommend this office to a friend or family family member.
The only thing that was done optimally was that we were in and out within 30 mins. Otherwise the Dr. did not listen to pretty much any input which we had, given our daughter had just gotten over pneumonia too. He basically did an xray and wrote an rx, seemed like an easy pay check given we already knew everything he said. They would not offer any help over the phone due to liability, so pretty much said keep trying or go to the emergency room. They were also training 2 out of the 4 assistants which helped us. Which I understand training on the job, but they talked more to them then us. When I did drop bits of input, they blew if off as not that important and continued there training. Don't think I would go back here, or recommend it to anyone, unless you legit just need a prescription. Even then they will write what they want, and if you have input theres a good chance there will purposely do the opposite of that, bc of course dr don't like to be told anything. -Edit I followed their response and left a message on the 1-866 number they posted. Who would have guessed still no call back, although we have a follow up appointment today! So you posted a number to just leave a message, do you want the feedback or do you want to come across as though you care? Please contact me as soon as possible to get this situated. Edit #2-Edit again- Now directly calling the office and trying to be connected to multiple ppl. He only been on hold for 20 mins, no worries its not like it's important!! OMG this place is a complete joke!! Edit #3- After what actually turned into about 45 min, they stated they were extremely busy. Pretty much the end of it all we just went to the emergency room where they could better assist us. It seems the ego of the staff was too much to take any real advice or input. I get it let the nurses/dr do their job. But it turns out I had a friend who had a similar situation and requested an antibiotic which always uses for sinus infection. The dr stated sir are trying to do my job for me? Then proceeded to not prescribed the antibiotic which has worked out. I can understand a narcotic, but to blatantly not take the patience advice given past experience is outlandish. At this point I feel like we just lost time and money, time being more important when we should have been at the er all along.
A good facility and helpful staff. Radiology and a pharmacy on the premises. Clean all throughout. Quite satisfied.
Please update your insurance acceptance in your website so us patients we don’t have to drive to ur office then wait 30 min just to hear that you not longer taking my insurance When it shows you do in your website
Staff was very pleasant, Doctor was thorough and attentive. Was able to get my prescription filled there which was great.
Friendly staff. Clean enviroment. Wait time was acceptable for a walk in care center. I will be switching to them as my primary care physcians. I was that happy with the visit!
Prefer this place over my own doctor, they're quick and efficient and one of the best urgent care places around.
I love this office not only are they my regular doctors office they are also my urgent care center
The services are outstanding, the doctors and staff are very responsive and attentive.
With the last review I left, you all responded to contact the 1-866 number to explain the review. I have left multiple messages, and was hoping to clarify before her follow up appointment today. So if you could please get back to me today. Not sure if the response on google is an auto response or not, but at this point just sending me to a message is not helpful either. Edit again- Now directly calling the office and trying to be connected to multiple ppl. He only been on hold for 20 mins, no worries its not like it's important!! OMG this place is a complete joke!!
The personnel are attentive, however, the wait time is horrible. Like the emergency room of a hospital, you wait an average of 2 hours just to be seen. This is the third time in the past 2 months that we have waited very long. It was 9:30 pm, almost closing time, so I left without being seen by a doctor. Total waste of my time. They clinic in Rockville appears chronically understaffed. Next time, I'll probably just go to Shady Grove Hospital
CNA gave me a warm blanket. I was in and out in about an hour despite 4 people being ahead of me. Filled my meds on the spot. PA was good to me. I don't know why people leave her negative reviews. I'm a registered nurse and so I could definitely call her out on her lack of knowledge but I thinks she's great. Thanks!
A very good experience I was the only person in the waiting room and i was called instantly. The appointment took only 15 minutes at the end of the visit I was so amazed by the experience that i left a tip
I was devastated when I got there at 8:18pm on Wednesday and it was CLOSE, while their office hour was described as 8am to 10pm on their website.
Staff at "Patient First" in Rockville were very courteous and professional. I was treated with good care and all was on ponit in and out!! Add"l to that the Facility was very clean. Yes i would go back i was very well please with there service... Thank you Patient First!
This is one of the money pit they dont have doctor just nurse who dont have proper medical training
I had a great experience and will consider going back for other minor health issues. My only "issue" with the experience was that I waited about 15 minutes to see the doctor after being brought to an exam room. However, I had virtually no wait when I sat down after registering, so it wasn't really much of a big deal. The whole visit took under an hour, which seemed very reasonable to me. The doctor and nurse did an excellent job.
Intake staff are always courteous and helpful. Seen quickly by nurse practitioner. Doctor was thorough and answered all questions. Really like that medication can be filled there. Examination rooms are clean and private.
What a great experience in terms of having an unpleasant medical situation. Dr. Okuwobi was so thorough and very concerned I understood how to take care of myself and properly treat the injury. He went over my medical history to make sure he was giving me the correct treatment. He was concise and professional and also friendly and caring. I was treated like an adult with respect, not just a number. The entire staff was friendly, smiling, and caring. I get the feeling their motto could be "treat people like you would a loved one". Thank you!
My rating is based on my experience at an administrative level . While the clinical staff gets high marks I will probably never return to this facility solely based on my experience with the front desk which is usually the first person you interact with, "great" way to kick-off a patient experience. The staff was unable to put practical decision making above procedure which truly shows a lack of procedural awareness and or impact. I truly walked away from my experience frustrated and upset. While the clinical staff lives up to "Patient First" the administrative staff did not, in my opinion.
I went there for my 3 yr old son’s ear infection. The doctor spend less than five minutes with my son. He briefly did a checkup, write a prescription and left the room without even asking if I have any questions nor explain how to care for an ear infection.
Clean and great service. The only thing I was uncomfortable with, was when the employee getting my info prior to be seen by the doctor asked for my SSN. In other places, that info would entail me from inputting that myself via keypad or I fill up the form myself with a tablet. Not sure if that is a safe policy and something you should consider when using patient first. I would have easily given them 5 stars as they were efficient and super nice.
Excellent!! Very fast, efficient and friendly.
Clean facilities, courteous staff, good service.
they were awesome. I would rather go here than rite time that only wants your money. patient first helped me and my son
Sets a New Bar for Urgent Care! I don't write reviews. But look..I've been to other Urgent Care places in the area from time to time and their closest neighbor might as well be shut down. Save yourself the headache with that one. The older one down the street now comes in a distant second to this one, now solidly in 1st place because its open 24 hours! C'mon people! You cant beat that- even the nearby "big hospital" could learn SEVERAL lessons from these folks about how to manage people efficiently and with human care. In Patient First, From "door to doctor" was about 20 minutes. (High Five to Dr. Dave'!) It uses technology to efficiently sign you in by self serve tablet. The facility is very very clean. The privacy wall/window is uber-cool. The intake team fills out paper work for you if youre in a bad physical state. No mound of clipboard papers for you to skulk off and tackle. The rooms all face the central nurse and doctors station. So you don't feel isolated from sight or awareness if you feel fragile. Dr. Dave' was like the Dr you might see in an episode of "Friends". Very nice, knowledgeable, calming, has well rounded pharma-medical research experience with FDA and cancer patient care and his patient side manner puts many doctors I've seen to SHAME (even in expensive membership practices). If you aren't feeling your normal glamorous self - the Dr doesn't make you feel ashamed of being sick or gross (hint: like its competitor a block away). you get a shoulder pat and an assurance that you'll feel better soon. COME ON!! Can they clone this guy and replace about 100 doctors in DC with Dr. Dave clones?? They use technology to give you small paper with summary of your visit right within the patient room! Even IF YOU HAVE A prescription - its in your hand from the Doctor! I cant say enough about this place. Heck, my primary care physician has new competition now. If you ever feel sick or hurt and you're near this place - don't walk-> run, skateboard, Segway whatever you gotta do - get over there, pronto.
All the staff I interacted with were kind, professional, and compassionate. The doctor was extremely kind and thorough. I have nothing but good things to say about my two experiences in the last few months at Patient First urgent care in Rockville, MD.
Went in thinking i was going to be there for a while but was only there for about 45 minutes. The staff was fast and friendly. I was very pleased with my experience. Will recommend and will be returning.
Facility is clean. Nurses are caring and efficient. Doctors are experienced, caring and thorough.
Very clean, organized and services streamlined with happy friendly people who seemed to care, from the start all the way to the doctor himself. Ten times better than my experience at Potomac Physicians!
This is an excellent Urgent Care facility and the facility down the street cannot begin to compare! It's clean, comfortable and the staff from the person who registers you to the NA's and MD were kind, thorough and excellent. "Donny" was kind, efficient and understood the medical issuet and Dr. Harish is personable, thorough, professional and a knowledgeable MD. Highly recommend this facility!
Awesome staff!!!
The nurses and doctor at PF were fantastic and very caring, listening intently to my descriptions and providing the best care. The doctor didn’t want to over-do anything which I really appreciate (no extra meds just to be prescribing something) but said if I noticed any developments to get back to him immediately. I felt secure and cared for. Thanks!!
Great experience. The center was clean and wait time was less than 10 minutes during lunch hour on a weekend.
I only waited for about two minutes to get checked in, and then went back almost immediately. The doctor was very caring and gentle while she examined me, and every time the nurse came in he cracked jokes to help me feel better. They were exceptional people who stayed after close to make sure I could take care of myself when I got home, and even had an in house pharmacy so I didn’t have to stop after I left. I’m so happy they were there for me.
Thought we would have to be there all day, but was very well organized. They have a lab there and a pharmacy there as well. Doctor came in asked questions and found out the problem. Asked us again questions, so that we would feel right. Very nice staff. Update: The account department brings down the rating with threatening to send you to collects when they can not do their own job. I did authorize them to charge my credit card which they ask when you check in if your insurance does not pay. They never bothered to charge my card but would rather send you to their collection department to make more off you. What a shame.
I had a great experience visiting this clinic. The process is very fast and efficient.
After 3 back and forth calls between the pharmacy and Patient First the best we could sort was a 12 day prescription for my meds screwing me completely on the copay of 265 bucks instead of 300 for a 30 day supply. They first gave a 5 day supply and no needeles to use the medicine.
Took my daughter in after getting some debris in her eye at night. Staff was super nice and efficient. Doctor was able to investigate her eye quickly with proper stains and equipment and offer appropriate relief and advice. My daughter said the experience was calming and easy, in spite of being very anxious and in pain.
Patient First is a God send. I was recommended to this place from a coworker of mine. Just look at how much money was saved from gong to PF opposed to going to a hospital. Also, you're seen immediately and in and out. The location is convenient to my home and job...the staff and doctor's are pleasant, respectful and pleasant. I will recommend this place to others for all of the above reasons. Thanks for all of your help and support.
Im happy with the service i got frim this patient first. It was a quick in and out process
I am un-insured for first time in my life at 56 . I had been many times to patient first. Everyone there is very kind and professional. My problem came about last night when I was treated for a migraine and was given a $ 120 shot in arm for a script I pay about $ 50 normally with GOODRX . I obviously wish someone had mentioned how expensive my shot would have been . I am not happy and will never go back . Be forewarned , of basically the doctor jacking your bill up !!!!
This was my first time being there and I was really nervous. They saw me immediately. Dr. Pham was absolutely amazing and tried his best to comfort me. I would absolutely recommend this Patient First.
I don’t know if they’ve had a turnover in staff or are just short staff. But, I have been trying to get one of my prescription refilled I on a daily since Friday and the nursing staff is horrible! I spoke with Alicia and then requested to speak with the office Manger twice and was told she not there both times and the third time I called to speak with her she in a meeting and she can’t speak to me. I get a call back from the nurse Alicia and call her right back she had me on hold for 30 minutes. I called back again speak to the receptionist to ask her what is going on and she said we only have one patient back there and one nurse. I can put you on hold again. I request to speak with my Doctor he’s not there either max what a joke and a way to treat your patients. I’ll be forwarding this to the better business bureau as well. I have never be treat this way meanwhile. While I’m typing this up I’m still on hold as I hear them constantly picking the phone up and putting me back on hold. Real caring about your patients. If I could I would screen shot and share with each call and how long the time I’ve been on hold and how many times with no results. Pathetic... I hope the Doctors get a new nursing staff because the ones there now are horrible.
Doctors and staff were caring and friendly. Night and day difference to some of the ither Urgent Care facilities in the area.
Everyone was very polite and helpful. The doctor was very understanding and thorough. Overall, a very nice experience.
Took a friend couple of days ago, She suffers strong respiratory problem, The place is spacious, clean, modern and they have full services from seeing a physician, PA, RN, lab works, x-rays to providing the medications. Although my friend had to do lab and x-ray, we were out within couple of hours, that's great compared to many medical providers keeping in mind waiting for the lab results. Also they have somehow reasonable prices for patients without insurance that capped max to $299 ( I uploaded a picture ).
Everyone, from the receptionist to the nurse to the X-ray technician to the PA, treated me with skill, efficiency, respect, and caring. I have gone to other urgent-care centers and have rarely experienced this quality of service. My visit was the second to this facility; I came back because of the service I received a couple of years ago, which again was the case last night.
Great experience getting urgent evaluation and treatment even for uninsured patients.
The visit that I had with P.A Wu LAN was more than subpar. I came in to be seen for my extremely high BP and advised that I am new to the area. I was not able to have my refills filled because of a need to secure a PCP, so I came into the office for treatment. I was told that I needed to reach out to the pharmacy and get the name of my meds and dosage. If this could not be done I would have to come back. UNACCEPTABLE! In my opinion, no one who is being seen for high BP should be told they may have to leave and come back without proper treatment. After there was an unsuccessful attempt to reach the pharmacy THEN I was told the older RX info that’s on file can be used. Why was this not offered first?? Isn’t that the goal, to treat patients and not turn them away? This was a stressful visit. I will not be returning back to this office or recommend anyone to go. Although, I’ve resolved to not return I would hate to have someone else endure what I had to endure. I will also be reaching out to the medical director in regards to this. I appreciate the offer of the survey.
This was my 4th time here and it was great every single time! I am a travel nurse working in DC. We are not residents here in MD so I googled to find an urgent care center when my daughter needed sutures in her toe. The last thing I want to do after work is sit in an ER. Well they did an awesome job so now we go there for all of our medical needs. The wait time is minimal and the staff is friendly and efficient! What more can you ask for? ♡♡♡Patient First - Rockville!
Dr. Dave was not helpful at all. I came in to see if my foot was broken. It wasn’t, just sprained and bruised. Nonetheless I’m in excruciating pain and walking on it is EXTREMELY painful. I can’t walk around my job in this much pain. Was expecting them to provide crutches to make getting around easier. Dr. Dave said “even though you have pain when you try and put weight on it, regardless of the pain you still can walk on it so you’re fine” I didn’t come in here just to be told to take Motrin and continue about my day. The medical assistant Melinda was very nice. So was the front desk check in lady. Aside from that, definitely will not be coming back. Could’ve easily gone next door to the adventist urgent care center.
The physician that came in to see me was very dismissive and appeared as if he didn't believe me. I was in a substantial amount of pain he didn't even want to give me an ace wrap for my leg. I had to ask for it. He then yells down the hallway for the nurse to do it. I don't go to urgent cares or hospitals unless it's my last resort. I am very disappointed in the care that I received. And the thought of getting a bill for terrible care is really upsetting. I well never go back to patient first and I have told everyone who would listen about my experience. I am still in pain today and it's really upsetting. Working in health care myself is really disheartening to know that there are physicians who are just collecting paychecks. The sad last is the front desk staff was friendly and my wait time was minimal.
I don't typically write reviews, but was compelled to because I had such a great experience at the Rockville, Maryland Patient First. The staff is terrific! Very friendly, competent, and efficient. I was seen within minutes of checking in, and was out in under an hour, including lab work and X-rays. That's not to say I was rushed; I felt heard, understood, and had all my questions answered. I also walked out with my prescriptions filled; no extra stops necessary! I recommend them without hesitation.
