I started seeing Dr. Goodman back in 1987. Over the past 30 years, my relationship with him has become like no other. He has been there for me through hard times, happy times, and unfortunately tragic times. He is always very patient, professional and willing to help me in any way possible. There are very few people one can count on in life and when it comes to a medical issue or question, he is my one. Today, I drive over an hour to see him because of the journey we have had. I was only nineteen when I made that first appointment with him. I never knew Dr. Goodman would become such an important part of my life. I am happier that he is and definitely healthier. I am proud to call him my doctor and my friend.

I am so glad that I found this practice. I haven't had any issues with any of the staff or physicians. Each time I visit the front staff quickly checks me in and offers to validate my parking. I have only seen Dr. Wilson and she is an AMAZING provider. She is always thorough, upfront and honest. She also explains everything so that I am able to understand and is compassionate/empathetic. I would give her 5/5 stars. My only qualm is regarding wait time. There have been some instances in which I've been at the office for HOURS for a 15-20 minute appointment. Otherwise, no complaints here.

I love this office - SS, Dr. Gould, and staff. I have been a patient for more than 10 years and their service is phenomenal including the staff that work for the other doctors. Speaking of perks - they validate patients parking - have onsite lab and sonograms etc. The billing staff explains all fees if you have an inquiry and patient care is their top priority and you feel that. Most of all I love the technology - online portal for patient results. They stay relevant with the time. I can not say enough about this office and group of physicians and staff. My family and I have been going here for years. One of the doctors actually delivered all of my siblings and myself. Easy to make appointments. If you meet with a different doctor other than your normal one, the new doctor can easily view everything and what was done before. All the doctors and their assistants are very nice. You have to park in a garage that you pay for. BUT, the ladies at the front desk will validate your parking! Also, with their online portal, it makes it easy to view your labs, message your doctor, and make an appointments. Only negative thing I would say, is it sometimes hard to get an appointment(unless I’m just impatient) that is relatively soon. However, online will tell you other doctor’s next available appointments.

Dr. Meredith Kapner is the most knowledgeable, kind and personable OBGYN I’ve ever met. Many of my friends and clients go to her now. They all rave about their experience. This is an efficient office. You can get through on the phone. It’s an easy experience interacting with this office. I’m grateful to go to this doctor’s office.

Dr. Kapner is excellent! She listens intently and does what she can to make you feel in control of your own treatment. She’s super sweet and friendly and always makes me feel incredibly comfortable. The first 2 times I came to OBGYN associates of silver spring, I had excellent experiences. However, the next two times I came, support staff was very impatient and snippy with me. The sonogram technician i saw never even told me her name and was borderline rude. She made me feel stupid for not knowing what to do (it was my first ever sonogram!) and i ended up crying after she left the room. My advise would be to come in the morning during weekdays. I have found that is when support staff/techs seems to be the most pleasant. All in all I strongly recommend Dr. Kapner, regardless of my experience with the rest of the staff.

Dr. Michael Goodman has been my GYN for many many years and I followed him from his previous medical practice group to this practice group simply because he is a great doctor. Good doctors are hard to find. Great doctors are even harder to find and keep. Over the years I have moved due to job changes from Silver Spring, MD to Baltimore, MD to Odenton, MD to Philadelphia, PA and finally settled in Edgewater, MD. However, I have continuously maintained my doctor-patient relationship with Dr. Goodman by driving back to Silver Spring to see him. He has always been responsive to my individual GYN medical needs and I have trusted him to provide me with the best medical guidance when decisions have had to be made regarding medication, and surgery when it was necessary. I believe that I am a much healthier woman in my older age because of the excellent medical care Dr. Goodman has provided during my earlier years. I'm grateful to still be one of his patients.

September 25, 2019 It is with great pleasure that I write this review of Dr. Michael Goodman. Dr. Goodman has been my OBGYN doctor for sixteen years. He was the Obstetrician for both my children. My daughter is a senior in High School and my son is in the Eighth Grade. Here are some key aspects I would like you to know about Dr. Goodman from my perspective: • An excellent doctor. • He’s very exact in his practice- meaning he tells you the truth. • Very prompt with service. • Genuinely cares about the well- being and health of his patients. • Always on point with any prescription orders, test, test results, and correspondence. I always tell people that I am his favorite patient ☺. I often think about, what will I do when he retires? The answer is, “I’m not sure”. My uncertainty centers around the fact of whether or not I will find another doctor that’s as good as he is. I believe the foundation of understanding your health stems from having an honest connection/ doctor-patient relationship with your doctor. I definitely have that kind of doctor-patient relationship with Dr. Goodman. The longevity of the years I’ve been his patient speaks of his loyalty as a doctor and my loyalty as a patient. As he stated to my mother before I was wheeled back to the operating room when having my hysterectomy in 2013, “We’ve been buddies for a long time”. And we still are today ☺. Ms. Keitha L. Very disappointed with my visit on Saturday. I had to do a 12 hour fast for a gestational diabetes screening test. I got a phone call from a staff member telling me to fast for 12 hours prior to my visit but she never explained what the process would be once I arrived there. Upon arrival there after fasting for 12 hours, I was shocked to find out that I would have to stay for 3 hours to give blood every hour. and was approached by a very unfriendly (And I mean no bedside manner at all ) phlebotomist Latonya who did not explain anything. The only thing she kept saying was "see you in an hour" every time she drew blood. I was hungry, angry, tired, and frankly very emotional. By the way, it was not the first time I have witnessed the terrible manner of this phlebotomist, I suggest you train your staff to be a little friendlier and a lot more informative. Expecting mothers are already nervous about the process of bringing a. healthy child to this world, you don't need to add to. the anxiety by being unfriendly or insensitive to the process. If I KNEW THAT I WERE TO SURRENDER MY ENTIRE MORNING giving blood every hour, I would have come prepared to deal with the process and bring snacks for energy after the process was done. I am upset to the point of considering another provider to deliver my baby.

Dr. Wilson is a great OBGYN. BUT this visit was thee worst my appointment was at 1:15pm I wasn't seen until 2:20pm. I kept being told they are waiting for a room to open up. I sat in the first lobby area for about 20 minutes. Then I was taken to a second lobby to sit there for another 30 minutes. No one told me what was going on. When I got up to ask, I was told again "we are waiting for a room to open up". I finally get into a room and then I sat there for another 15 minutes here comes my OBGYN finally saying she had a procedure take longer than expected. My visit took all of 10 minutes. I was livid. The communication was terrible and the wait was ridiculous.

Went to see Dr. Kleinman the first time, because my GYN doctor retired last year. It was a good experience, I believe I found another great doctor, hopefully won't be retire soon. :) Just added: to my surprise, the bill is more than usual too! I was charged $60 for depression screening which I had no idea. I don't know if their billing department didn't code it correctly, I ended up had to pay a copay. My insurance pays 100% for preventive care. They could have billed better. 4/11/19 update: they solve the issue, very responsive. Still a 5 star practice!

She is an incredibly intelligent and well-trained clinician, but she also pairs that with so much compassion, kindness, and ability to relate to her patients on a personal level. Highly recommend her for both obstetrics and gynecology, and I'll continue to see her for well-woman care. My experience as a whole with the practice has been very positive.

Dr. Wilson was judgmental and condescending towards my daughter. We chose Dr. Wilson because her biography online mentioned that she was experienced with "adolescent gynecology." Within moments of introducing herself and hearing why we were there, she commented on my daughter's weight. Not with empathy or concern, but with annoyance. It felt like we were in a principal's office, having to defend ourselves because of my daughter's weight gain. My daughter suffers from depression. It's been a difficult year for her. Frankly I'm glad she's alive. It is a doctor's responsibility to mention healthy habits and to discuss weight. I get it. But there is a way to do so, without leaving your patient demoralized. If you're overweight, steer clear of this doctor.

After having a terrible experience at Capital Women’s Care, I was desperate for help. I had major contraction-like cramps, and a diagnosis with no advice and pushed out fo the office. Dr. Kleinman was the PERFECT find. His staff was so welcoming from the start, and the whole visit was well organized. He even took time to meet with me in his office to alleviate the anxiety of sitting in an exam room. When I got bloodwork done, I couldn’t even feel it. I typically have a really hard time with it, and was so impressed. I never thought I’d say this, but i can’t wait to go back and see them for my follow up results!

My husband and I LOVE all of the OB-GYNs at this practice. They work together well and were wonderful throughout all the prenatal visits through the birth of our beautiful baby girl. Dr. Wilson is friendly, knowledgeable, and she always takes time to listen to our questions and concerns without seeming rushed. When we began to rotate doctors getting closer to our due date, we found everyone to be just as great. We truly felt comfortable having any of them deliver our baby. I ended up needing a Caesarean section and had a complication about a week later. They were able to see us on a Saturday and come up with a plan of action. They are so caring and remember us well such that we did not feel like we have to re-explain our situation if we see another doctor. The doctor on call when we came in Saturday even came to check on us when we saw our regular doctor for a follow up. I’m short, I feel like I have had excellent care at this practice and stand out experiences with every one of the OB-GYNs in the office. I cannot sing their praises enough.

The clinic is inside Holy Cross Hospital. I got lost on my way to the clinic, but could not reach anyone on account of their phone being unplugged (It was a Saturday). I met with the doctor. I was examined in a timely manner. It was a shorter visit than I expected. My insurance was processed swiftly by the front desk. The clinic is very clean and orderly. My only complaint would be that the doctor said he was sending in my prescription that day to a local pharmacy. When I arrived at the pharmacy that day, I was told that my prescription had not been called in. Given that it was a holiday weekend, this meant I could not get my prescription until the following week. This was a horrible miscommunication that I wish I could have avoided. As far as the quality of the doctor, I cannot say. I need to see how my condition improves based on the recommended prescription.

I cannot express how amazing my experience has been with this practice! I began coming here when I found out I was pregnant back in April, 2018. From that moment until I gave birth 2 weeks ago, I have been immensely satisfied with the quality of care I've received. Every single doctor at the practice is amazing. My appointments are fast and efficient. I feel like the doctors really listened to my concerns. At my 37 week checkup, I brought some excessive swelling to the attention of my main doctor and she referred me for an ultrasound to check for a blood clot that very day. It turned out that I did indeed have a DVT. Because my concern was taken seriously, my and my son's life were saved. After the diagnosis, the doctor on call, not my main doctor, came up with a plan to induce my labor so that I could safely deliver. I spent 33 hours in labor, which meant I was seen by 3 different doctors at the practice during my stay. Each one was well aware of my situation and knew exactly what was going on. I ultimately had a C-Section, which was again not performed by my main doctor, but I still felt as though I was well taken care of. Should I decide to have another baby, I can think of no other practice I would rather go to. This experience has convinced me to use this practice for my ongoing Gynecological needs as well.

My case was not straight forward so I needed someone who would go above and beyond. She helped coordinate with other professionals related to my case, responded quickly, and did everything she could to show me that this time my delivery would be different. This time was different because of Dr. Wilson. My family and I will forever be grateful to her.

I have been a patient of Dr Goodman for approximately 20 years. He has always made me feel very comfortable, takes the time to speak about any concerns or changes, is clear in communication and answers my questions thoroughly. Many years ago, I had precancerous cells, he has never over looked this and ensures I adhere to my appointment schedule. Recently, I have started entering menopause and he was helpful in working through some of the recent changes. I think the 20 year history speaks for itself, however I will confirm, Dr Goodman has been a trusted partner for my health and I highly recommend him! In addition, the current reception staff of the Shade Grove location is wonderful. They are by far the best I have seen over my history with Dr Goodman.

Dr. Ely is pretty awesome. Helps me with any all questions. Makes things a breeze. So breezy that I forget about the hour time span is took to actually see her. No shade, but I had my appt at 10:30, I was a little late but in the grace period. I kid you not —it was a 30 mins in the wait room then 30 mins in the actual patient room, where my appointment lasted about 15-20 mins. I’ve never experienced that anywhere else, but dr. Ely —again— makes it almost worth it.

My appointment last week was canceled when I arrived and was told the OB was out on a delivery and there was not ETA. Once, ok. But then arrived today for my rescheduled appointment and was told the OB was running 1.5 hours behind. I don't know about other working people but I don't have all this time to spend driving all the way there only to be told there either is no appointment or it's nearly two hours delayed--as good as canceled. I am switching providers, which is unfortunate as I like my OB there.

I just moved to the area and am currently 28 weeks pregnant. I was referred to Holy Cross hospital and after the ordeal of another clinic not letting me choose which hospital I wanted to deliver at, I thought I’d try here since they have fantastic reviews. Let me quickly state that this clinic does not care seem to care about their patients or even a potential patient. I was denied service because I’m “late” in my pregnancy. Let me explain: I called the appointment scheduler on the phone and explained that we had just moved here and that I’d like to find a new OB. The nice receptionist got the necessary info from me and asked how far along I was. She then said I’d need to speak to the OB coordinator because she wasn’t sure I could be seen there due to my lateness in pregnancy. I left a voicemail with the coordinator, which was returned within 24 hours. The message that was left on my phone was they couldn’t see me because it was late in my pregnancy. I called back because she gave no explanation. When I actually spoke with her, the only explanation first given was it is their policy to not take new patients after 20 weeks. Ok, that’s a weird (and frankly, dumb) policy, but I just moved here and had no choice but to move due to job relocation. So I very nicely asked for a better reason why and she said it would be malpractice. I’m not a high-risk patient, but she didn’t know that because she didn’t ask to see my records from my previous OB. One of the last questions I asked was “what happens when I go into labor? Do I just go to an ER?” Her response was go to the labor and delivery wing of a hospital and the staff doctor will attend to you. She then informed me that if I call other clinics in the area they won’t take me either because I’m 28 weeks. So she basically wrote me off because I’m late and refused to help me and unborn child. First of, how can you deny a person health care when you haven’t even looked at their chart? And then to tell me to just see the staff doctor at a hospital when I’m in labor? What about if there are complications before that I don’t know about? They’re penalizing me for moving here and could potentially put my baby and myself at risk by denying care. My last qualm was that they told me no other clinic would see me. She had no right to speak for other clinics in the area. And it’s not true as I have had other clinics offer appointments. This is the only one I’ve found that denied me service. I luckily found a clinic that is not a part of a big business chain of clinics like some of these. Anyway, take it as you will. I’m glad I’m not going to be seen here.

I really liked the provider I saw here and everyone was friendly which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. However, I was told to arrive at 10:15am for a 10:30am appointment (which I did) and I was not seen until 11:15am. Waiting an hour (without any updates or options given to me) was unacceptable. I got a text message reminding me of my appointment that morning -- why not just text and ask if they could push my appointment back? Going to the doctor involves coordinating child care and/or time off work. I don't have an hour to sit around in a waiting room so I will choose a different provider next time.
