Good and bad experiences at the same office. I would give it a B+
We have been going to Dr. Giblin for sometime with the acne issues of my teens. His diagnoses worked well for one teen but not so much for the other one. He is always in a hurry, rushes in and out of the room and speaks in a rapidfire manner, not really spending enough time for patients to ask relevant questions, hearing their concerns or really explaining what is expected from the patients regarding the treatment. All in all, the bedside manners and the ability to come up with alternate treatments when the standard treatment does not work is lacking somewhat. They rely on the assistants to ask you the questions and fill up the case notes, but that information is not relayed to the doctor when he walks in nor he reviews what has been written, so you are left with the frustration of not having a chance to share your concerns or get reassurance from the doctor that he has automagically discerned your concerns.
The front desk works well for somethings and then fails for others. They have automated text reminders for appointments and you can download their forms before your appointment, so wait time is not too much. However, they seem to overbook and want you to be out asap. I wonder if this is the reason the doctor is always in a rush? They are not great about changing appointments, accommodating emergencies, getting the dr to call in prescriptions (or remembering to do so themselves) or calling back. They often come across as rude and irate on the phone. Having an email on their website would be great for patients to ask followup questions or even remind that they need their prescription sent in to the pharmacy.
The waiting area is neat and clean and seating is adequate.
