Dr. Ford’s initial interview and evaluation was so thorough that I learned that there was a root cause to the hair loss and it was not normal. I visited the office one time to have something removed/biopsied from my lip. Dr. Ford was very nice. The reason that I gave the office only 2 stars is that since my appointment they have called me twice trying to set up appointments for me to come in and buy sunscreen. I feel like telemarketers are reaching out and that this is inappropriate for a doctors office. Why would I pay a $40 copay for another appointment just to purchase sunscreen from them?!? It feels very unprofessional and I feel like they’re only concerned about making money off me.

I write this review for the amazing, professional front desk staff of DSF Cosmetic & Medical Derm, and also for the wonderful Dr. Diane Ford. My son has been a patient of Dr. Ford since age 3 months. Our ongoing fight against eczema has been endless. However, Dr. Ford has been very attentive and diligent in helping to find what treatment parameters work. Most recently, the office staff impressed me after I brought my son for a visit. The staff was sure to follow up by phone to ensure prescribed medication was retrieved from the pharmacy. Its sometimes the little things that count most! I was also so happy with the care that Dr. Ford provided for this particular visit, because she called me the day prior to my son's appointment (before business hours) to assess the extent of his skin condition. Dr. Ford is genuine in her approach and will help you figure out where the potential root cause comes from. This type of care shows her genuine intent to solve the problem. This type of care seems far, few, and in-between when it comes to some providers, but not with Dr. Ford. Thank you for your exceptional care!

My skin has never looked this good! Thanks to Dr. Ford and Kristina Trunnell PA-C, I don't feel like a pimpled teenager anymore. Not only has my acne greatly decreased, their laser treatments and beauty products have done wonders for my acne scars and the bags under my eyes. Dr. Ford's got great bedside manner, always smiling and happy to see me. Kristina actually takes the time to listen to ALL my concerns, something that is rare nowadays with Drs offices. Their staff puts me at ease and were very professional. (Kara the MA was great, she reassured me while I waited for the cream to set in). Kristina also treats my husband for his moles, my two daughters for their eczema and my son for his rashes. I know some people are upset with the insurance plan they chose and blame practitioners for bills but as patients we need to be cognizant of what our insurance covers, how we choose our insurance and the lawmakers who govern our healthcare.

Be careful with the hidden fees, new patient fee, "oh yeah your insurance will cover all of It!"....NOT! If the "assistant doctor" is your doctor they are a bunch of scam artists trying to get your money. $146 to be prescribed a lotion that didn't work. All that I needed was hydrocortisone. Meanwhile the doctor notices a wart on my finger and offers to freeze it off, later on I find out that was a damn expensive wart and it ended up coming back twice as big anyways. SAVE YOUR TIME AND SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

She cleared up my shaving bumps ensuring I could be clean shaving for work. I still use a majority of the products she sells and recommends. And best of all I still get compliments on how great my skin looks and that I look 5 years younger than I am.

I have been to Dr. Fords office 3 times in a year and a half for my now 13 yr old daughter. We did not have the pleasure of seeing Dr Ford but instead her assistant, Kristina. I feel that she was not sympathetic to my daughters issues of acne. As a 13 yr old child you already deal with so many other life issues that this is one more bump in the road. As she was looking for answers we felt that we were "wasting the assistants time". The assistant was VERY BIG into chemical peels and facials. As a mother I was not and am not, at this time, looking at that route for my daughter. We also waiting an hr (every time) we visited. We have another appointment set up with a different dermatology office in Hagerstown and are hoping for a more inviting and compassionate visit. If you like facials, botox, and chemical peels than Dr. Fords office is the place for you!

This review is not about the doctor, it's about billing. I've been a patient of Dr Ford for years. She is a wonderful and caring doctor. Her staff has always been courteous and friendly during my visits. I made an appointment and paid a $100 deposit. I had to cancel the appointment and did not receive a refund. I called the office and was told that they do not do refunds. I have a credit towards a future visit. This would not be a problem except I don't need to see Dr Ford anytime soon. I am disappointed because this policy was not made clear to me and I didn't see the information on their website.
