My kids have been going to this practice since 2002. From the beginning we have committed to Dr Chung. He is so great with my kids, now teenagers. I wouldn't dream of leaving him.

Overall an okay experience...daughter went here from birth to 1 before I switched. OLD office, needs big upgrades. We were asked to leave when I refused ONE vaccine and chose to postpone until she is 2....Not willing to work with me on this one so I left.

This is being wrote by his mother. My children have been going to Carroll Children's Center at least five years. Today, we saw a CPNP, this doctor was very rude and physically abusive. I explained that our insurance coverage had changed and that this particular clinic does not accept it. So I will have to pay cash for the visit on top of everything else. This doctor jabbed a long stick (for a strep test) roughly down my fifteen year olds throat while he is saying no and backing up! And I am telling this doctor no! (Neither one of us gave this doctor permission, and we told this doctor NO!) I reported this doctor to the main person in charge of the clinic. Nothing will happen I am sure, but I will report this person to the board.

Wendy, is RUDE and very impatient with children. I will never ever allow her to see my children again.

My children go here. Recently I have found that the front staff are very rude in person and on the phone. They over talk you when you are trying to explain basic information and rush to get you off the phone. Some of the medical assistants are great, however I find it strange they are called nurses instead of medical assistants. A medical assistant is NOT a nurse. They are not nursing assistants or even practical nurses, therefore why are they called nurses!? I adore the doctors, however some of their PA’s or CRNP’s lack bedside manner. I believe the office is poorly managed by whomever and basic phone etiquette needs to be readdressed. It is crazy how when I call I have to explain things numerous times because the staff doesn’t seem to listen the first time or are rather distracted by other things. I feel like the staff are very unprofessional when I go to the office as well. I find often they are having inappropriate or personal conversations in the reception area that have nothing to do with work, rather their personal life. I have heard numerous conversations about things that make them unhappy at work which rather makes me feel very uncomfortable( for instance complaining about other employees not doing their job.) I have never had a problem getting my child in for a sick visit, however felt It rather disturbing that when I used the word “episodic,” the person scheduling did not know what and “episodic appointment” was.

The doctors are great but, the front desk staff needs more customer service training. Just tried to make an appointment and the phones just kept ringing.

My daughter is 10 months old and has been seeing carroll childrens since birth. I have never had a bad experience with the friendliness of the doctors or making an appointment quickly, however a doctor is of no use to me if they are unable to properly diagnose my sick child. My daughter had an ear infection and was given the most powerful antibiotic available. She developed a terrible rash and diarrhea. 6 appointments, 7 rx creams, and 20 days later I finally brought her to an ER where she was properly diagnosed with a bacterial infection caused by her antibiotic. All the symptoms of her illness were presented to the doctors of the practice at each visit and I can't help but feel I wasn't listened to. They were so focused on fixing the outcome (diaper rash with open sores) that they couldn't focus on the actual problem casuing it. They incorrectly diagnosed her each time and made her worse for 20 days! Will not be returning, EVER.

Really has gone down hill over the years. I used them when I was a child and used them when I had children of my own. I like the doctors but the staff is awful. Making an appt is ridiculous. My child we crying in pain for two hours before they opened. I called as soon as they opened at 8am and they tell me they have no openings till 6:40pm! That's over ten hours. I told her that was ridiculous and I wasn't gonna listen in my child cry for over 10 hours. I asked to speak to a nurse who again tried to give me the run around about them being busy with physicals. So they couldn't fit my sick child in because they are seeing a bunch of healthy kids to get their physicals? Since when do sick kids not come first? After arguing finally was able to get appointment for a little earlier but still not as early as I would have liked. You're a pediatrics Dr. office since when do you have no compassion for children. After all that's your job. I'm not sure if they don't have children of their own but I'm sure it wouldn't have been ok if it was their child. I don't care how busy you are,you squeeze in sick children. Telling me you can't see my crying child for over ten hours is pathetic. Also, I'm not one of those moms that takes my kids in at every cold. They have to be really sick or in pain for me to take them in. This was the last straw for me. I had to argue with them for an appointment for their well visit a few months ago as well. I have twins and they said they didn't have the time to see them together. It's just sad that I have to fight to get care for my kids. The front office has ruined it for us. I will be switching to another office that puts their patients first and maybe as a little compassion.

Dr's are great, Office staff need training. Sit on hold for long periods of time and I asked for a simple paper to be faxed and never got it. called back several times and waited by the fax machine for an hour waiting for it. I dred every time i have to call this place

The clinical and nursing staff have always been great.

I've been coming here all my life and I've only once had a problem. My doctor retired and was apparently the only one who had background knowledge on my shunt. The next time I went in the doctor was a grumpy older lady that was reading about it off of some paper and trying to push it in (which could potentially kill me) and when told she tried to argue. I requested a different doctor and have not seen her since.

Both of my daughters have been going for quite some time. The Doc's, Nurses & PA's are lovely, especially Dr. Chung. However, since moving back into town after being away, the service seems to have gone down dramatically in terms of actually scheduling an appointment and most of all ANSWERING THE PHONE!! Hold times are simply tragic and getting refills on prescriptions takes multiple phone calls and leaving messages because in a year and a half of calling, a human has never answered the prescription prompt (4). I only ever get the voicemail and have to leave multiple messages. I thought this was just me, but after having coffee with some friends the subject was brought up and there were 4 of us there all thinking of leaving the practice because of this. Get it together please! We all discussed that we are taking our children to urgent care because of the lack of call backs and hold times or complete inability to get a sick appointment.

I have nothing but good things to say about Carroll Children's Center. They often give you the appointment at a time that works best for you. The doctors and nurse practitioners are very friendly and knowledgeable. The techs are friendly and always are smiling and willing to help. They constantly help me in and out with my kids when I am by myself. They go the extra mile all the time.

Kim Kearney

We have been with this practice for many years. However, Wendy has really made me question my choice. She is rude, dismissive and rushes through the appointment. I really felt bad for my son who was trying to explain to her how he felt and she responded with a brushoff. Dr Chung on the other had is great and would be the only Dr. I would allow my son to be seen by.

My children have been coming here for several years now. We have always been impressed with the professional and caring manner in which the practice has functioned. I do, however, have to echo the other reviews here. The office staff is often confused to the point of paperwork errors and I have always been put on hold first and helped second when I call. That being said, I will still continue to bring my children to Dr. Scobie (or Dr. Scooby as my son calls him)

Kelly Holbrook

My rating is based on Dr Scobie and Dr Chung. Dr Scobie was my pediatrician for 18 years. He also was my son and daughter's pediatrician until we moved out of state. He is the most caring doctor I have ever met. My daughter had jaundice when she was born and we had to take her to the doctor right after we brought her home. Dr Scobie was booked, so we saw Dr Chung. He was so kind and put my mind at ease about her jaundice. I highly recommend both Dr Scobie and Dr Chung.
