I was appreciative that the process was simple and quick in light of how badly I was feeling at the time. The staff was kind as well. I am happy to know that I have a good place to go close to home for an urgent medical need.

My girlfriend was recently diagnosed with strep throat so of course as soon as I had a slight tickle in the back of my throat I became concerned. Being in the medical profession myself I was extremely impressed by the ease and speed of my visit. Almost immediately after finishing my paper work, the medical assistant took me back got my vitals and cheif complaint. Within 5 minutes of sitting in the back room the doctor came in and greeted me. Despite having a heavy accent, she made sure I completely understood everything prescribed me a Z-pak and took a throat culture. I was in and out in less than twenty minutes. I was very pleased and will definitely refer to my friends and family!

I wish I had posted this sooner. In December 2016 I had a 102 degree fever, bronchitis and strep throat. I was also wheezing and had trouble breathing. The staff gave me a chest x-ray and breathing treatment, and sent me with a prescription for antibiotics, a nebulizer and an inhaler. The doctor was wonderful -- professional, kind, efficient. The whole staff at this facility was fantastic. I received a phone call from them the next day checking up on me to make sure I was on the mend. I would not hesitate to visit them again should the need arise, and I have referred many friends and family to them.

I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Doctors Express! The staff was professional and attentive, the office was clean and comfortable.

Roseann Whyte

Everyone is very nice but professional. They make you feel comfortable. I was in and out and was able to pick up my prescription right after leaving the urgent care. My last visit there was equally as good.

Christina Smith

Waste of my money and my time. As another person said, they referred me to the emergency services after being there for well over an hour. Oh and since they consider themselves "specialist" your co-pay will be twice as much as normal.

Cynthia

Wonderful doctor and staff. I arrived 15-min before closing having an asthma attack. They took care of me. Gave me a breathing treatment, prescriptions for my daily and rescue inhalers. And since it was close to 9p, they had to call around to see which drug stores were open so I could get medication. I was scheduled to travel the next morning. Dr Tak wrote me a note so I could be reimbursed by the airline. He and three other staff members wound up working 50-min past closing to help me. I felt as if I was being treated by my local doctor's office instead of an urgent care facility. Highly recommend.

Eric Groves

Amazing experience here after dealing with CVS and Minute Clinic, the worst place you could possibly go. All of the staff here was super positive and very friendly. Customer service is lacking at a lot of places these days, but not here. They truly care about doing a great job! I hope I do not need them anytime soon, but when and if I do, I will be back!

Katie Fitzsimmons

I’ve never received anything but excellent service from this office. They are speedy to get you seen, the doctors are thorough and always kind. I’m glad we have the option to go to this office when we can’t get in to see our primary care doctor!

Joan Toryk

They take your credit card before the doctor even sees you - even if you have already met your out-of-pocket for the year. With all the hacking and data breaches that exist now, it's bad policy. And I won't be back.

Denise Speight

Friendly and thorough staff. Quick service and responses to my questions were clear. Good follow up by the MDs

went on 5/15/16. The wait time was short and the doctor spent more that adequate time assessing my ailment, explaining what was going on, drew a diagram, and prescribed medication to help. Excellent care and service!

Just thank you for seeing me and being so kind and professional. I have NEVER had good experiences with urgent care in the past. But I was very impressed with all of the staff at AFC and the cleanliness of the facility.

HORRIBLE!!! I went here because my doctor office was further away and I wanted to get my symptoms treated as quickly as possible. The doctor doesn't even try to investigate your symptoms. I went in on a Tuesday morning explaining that I had a horrible cough, fever, runny nose, headache, sore throat and could hardly breath. He told me I had a viral infection and told me to take advil and cough syrup. He said because it was a viral infection and I should start feeling by Wednesday. Well Wednesday evening I called this office and informed them I was feeling worst; when the doctor called me back he said I needed to increase my advil and that would make me feel better. I asked him if you thought I may have a respiratory infection because when I blow my nose or coughed I was a dark yellow. He told me no, I didn't have a respiratory infection and to just increase the advil (I guess he was trying to get me to overdose on advil because I was already taking 4 pills every four hours). When I hung up, I called my doctor and explained what was happening and he told me to come in early Thursday morning (yes during a snow storm). He said that I had a horrible respiratory infection that was exteremly close to becoming pneumonia and if I had told the doctor at Doctor's Express the symptoms that I had described he should have known if was more then just viral and should have prescribed antibiotics from the start because they way I was coughing while at Doctor's Express they should have known it had gone beyond a viral infection. I will never go there again.

The front desk staff was very professional and even helped me when I didn't have my insurance card (all i had was a picture). They took the time to give me what I needed... but that's the extent of my positive experience. When I went into the back to be treated it was the complete opposite. I needed stitches on my right hand. I had worked all day with a laceration on my hand so by the time I went in to be seen my hand was really sore. The lady who came in to clean my wound before I recieved my stitches was extremely rough. I would expect that when you're cleaning a wound you would at least try to be gentle but she put no effort at all into trying not to cause me more pain than I was already in. She pushed so hard on the Gauze it felt like sand paper scraping across my skin. She than started to pat my wound dry which felt like she was hitting my hand with a hammer. (Sounds exaggerated but its not)... the Doctor who performed my sutures did a great job but the next lady who came in to dress my wound did the same thing as the first lady. After the bandage was in place, she pressed her thumb directly over my laceration with enough pressure to make me nauseous and light headed. I don't see why it was neccessary to apply pressure to a stitched/dressed wound. It gave me the impression that they just wanted to rush through their job. It made it seem like they either dont like what they do or they just don't care how much pain they cause to a patient. The great job that the front desk did during check-in was completely ruined by the girls in the back who appeared to have no compassion whatsoever.

Went here for a spider bite and they denied seeing me. Apparently insurance cards stored on my phone is not enough proof to prove I have insurance. Will not return. Would not recommend.

I was recently seen at this location and I must say I was very impressed. The office was very clean and inviting. The office staff was amazing. I was greeted by the sweetest girl at the front desk. They took very good care of me and my son. The Nurse with the tattoos was very caring and provided some humor which put us at ease. The Doctor answered all my questions and was very professional. All in all very pleased. I would recommend this place to all my family and friends!

I woke up sick the morning of an important business trip out of state. I stopped into AFC Urgent Care on my way to BWI. Not only did I feel terrible, I was very nervous that I would miss my flight. The team took great care of me, and sent me on my way to the airport where I made my flight!!! They also sent my prescription to a pharmacy where I was travelling to so I would not be further delayed.

Gloria Lowe

no stars -- be careful if you asked them to take a payment from your credit card -- they will take the whole bill, apologize and then ignore you. I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN - BAD SERVICE FROM THE DOCTOR

Brought in family member but condition had subsided. Winsome and Charity were so kind and reassuring. The Dr. on duty was professional and answered all our questions. We left feeling so much better!

I will never ever go here again and I strongly advise you intrust your physical health to someone more qualified and keep your wallet closed to these folks. Went in 2 months ago with a fractured ulna. It was very painful and based on past experience I was pretty sure it was broken. It hurt so bad I just wanted a cast on to protect it from bumping it to things really. They X-rayed me told me I was fine took my money and sent me on my way. That money by the way being in the form of cash which I had to run home to get because their credit card machine was down. Super professional. 2 month later it is still a nuisance to me daily so I go and get new X-Rays at Advanced Radiology. Wouldn’t you know it I now have a huge fracture. I return to AFC Urgent care to get a copy of the original X-Ray. The fracture was a small hair line fracture that I admit would be hard to find if you just gave it a quick glance but any amount of time spent actually looking at the X-Ray and you can see where it is Fractured. I could see it and I have 0 medical training. When I showed it to my Ortho she agreed. What this tells me is that the doctor hardly looked at it before making his diagnosis. If it had been casted 2 months ago then the small fracture wouldn’t have grown and I would be healed by now and my life would be back to normal. Instead I’m on my way to physical therapy. My lifestyle and my job are physically demanding and I need my arm. I’ve lost out on time and money because this doctor felt as though he didn’t need to take the time to make sure I was okay. The one shiny star is for the front desk staff who are fantastic and very very nice and helpful. Great ladies. I will never ever go here again and I strongly advise you intrust your physical health to someone more qualified and keep your wallet closed to these folks.

Dr. Hunter and her staff couldn't have been more accommodating. As a new resident in Annapolis, I had little guidance on who to see for my illness. I have to say that I found an awesome place. From the very engaging woman at the front desk to triage to diagnosis and aftercare instructions, everything went well. As a result, I am on the mend.

I was pleased I could see a doctor on July 4. I was also really happy at how caring the staff and doctor seemed to be, how clean and client friendly the waiting room and exam rooms were and receiving a follow up call to check on my symptoms a few days later. Really a quick and happy solution to a worrisome problem on a holiday weekend. P. Boyle

Very fast and great service. I was able to see the doctor quickly. The visit and wait times were very good. I received follow up phone calls from the office to see how I was doing, to give me test results, and even the doctors spoke to me on the phone to follow up and answer my questions and address my concerns. I'm really satisfied with their service.

The staff was friendly and professional! The doctor actually took the time to talk to me and wasn't trying to rush me out the door. Was very impressed with the visit and will definitely go back! I highly recommend them!!

Fastest and most efficient urgent care experience i've ever had. The facility is clean and comfortable, and the staff is very polite.

I was treated in January of 2014 and diagnosed with impetigo, a highly contagious skin infection that is supposedly contracted from being in contact with young children (although I was not). After paying a $40 co-pay for a "specialist," I met with the doctor for under 5 minutes. Her "specialty" was pulling up Google images and telling me why I had impetigo. A week of antibiotics later, the rash was still angry and weeping, I had a fever and was vomiting -- I assume from unnecessary antibiotics. 9 months later, the same rash emerged after eating mango. I treated the rash immediately with cortizone cream and benadryl and the rash disappeared in less than 3 days. I am incredibly unsatisfied with this experience. NEWSFLASH: Googling our condition doesn't cost $40. We can do that at home for free.

Went on Saturday morning with severe knee pain Extreme difficulty walking. While the staff were very pleasant and facility was very nice, the Dr. refused to give me anything for pain. Told me to take alieve. Unacceptable

Alexis Hubbard

I would like to mention that Kristina the MA was very helpful as well as the miss at the front desk who checked me in! Also the promptness and cleanliness of the facility was much appreciated, thank you.

Cheryl Keys

Saw Dr. for severe back pain - he was condescending and rude and made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. He kept interrupting me, telling me what I am feeling and he practically "laughed" when I told him how severe the pain was. Rude!! Rude!! Rude!! Prescribed pain meds and sent me away.I will never go back there.

Have gone several times now (mostly for the kids). I took in my daughter who had a worsening rash on her face. They prescribed an antibiotic as it was now showing infection and insisted that I try to get her to a dermatologist and to report back. I actually did manage to get a same day appointment, where they diagnosed this as probably poison ivy and also noticed the infection and inquired if urgent care had prescribed an antibiotic. What they prescribed was spot on (even though urgent care could not determine the cause, and honestly is it extremely difficult for anyone to identify the source of rashes). So good call. Oh, I checked around the house, and guess what?... Poison ivy is growing here! :)

I arrived at your facility at about 9:30 this morning. I was treated with professional care from everyone including the receptionist, nurse, x-ray tech, and Dr.Tak. In less than 1 1/2 hours my vitals were taken, x-rays taken and read, and seen by the doctor. I was sent on my way with written instructions for home care. Thank you so much.

Prompt, Courteous, Thorough and most of all, Convenient. I work for a corporate housing company in Annapolis. I received an urgent call from a client of ours on a Monday morning. She was desperate with no one to call......would I please pick her up and take her to the hospital emergency room. I had met Ginni at a golf tournament a couple years back and remembered her mentioning her new place, Doctor's Express on Solomon's Island Rd. So, I asked Holly if we could try Doctor's Express rather than the hospital emergency room. Holly was so sick...."just get me somewhere". We were the first to arrive on a Monday morning. The staff was courteous. The paperwork took a bit of time...but we understand. Holly was taken back quickly and treated professionally by the nurse and doctor. The best convenience was the strep throat test being done right there with immediate results. We left Doctor's Express, went next door for a cold soothing drink at Dunkin Donuts drive through and then to CVS where Holly's prescription was ready to go via the drive through. Can't get any more convenient than that. Everything was handled through insurance and the fees were minimal. I dropped Holly off at home to take her medicine and rest. At 8pm that night, I checked in with Holly and she was a new woman. She had slept 8 hours straight for the first time in 3 days and felt like a new person. We were both very very impressed with the entire process. Thank you Ginni and staff for taking such great care of our client.

5 stars is not enough to say how good they are. I am so thankful for a place to go when you are short on time and you do not feel good.

They were the only clinic in the area that would see me (I had a hematoma that needed to be treated) and made me feel SO much better. Quick, kind and on top of it took my insurance which many places won't do either. Definitely recommend.

Beverly Wright

This was probably the best doctor's office experience I've ever had. Very quick in and out, problem identified, treatment prescribed, all without an appointment. Professional, friendly, well-equipped and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable in this facility and they perform so many medical treatments that I can't imagine needing to go anywhere else. Their office hours are also better than the other clinics in the area. kudos!

Don't buy the nonsense. These guys suck! We had a big snow storm a couple of weeks ago and so my regular pediatrician was closed... so I took my eight year old here instead. I'm not the paranoid parent, I waited more than 5 days with my kids' nightly fevers and deep seated cough. I didn't go in asking for a prescription but I did go in expecting them to take us seriously. They told us it's 'a viral sinus infection' (don't know how they got that from a cough) and to rinse her nose with saline. They were very dismissive. We had to wait another two days for the regular pediatrician to open. When we got there and explained what happened, she sent us immediately to medical imaging where we discovered her left middle lung had pneumonia. I did get a phone call a day after we saw the pediatrician asking how my daughter was doing when I explained what happened. As a response I got a call from 'the head dr.' whom made lots of excuses for not looking further into the matter and an I'm sorry that you were disappointed, but took absolutely no responsibility nor made any offer to remedy the situation. Only after he asked me if there was anything else I would like to say did I tell him I didn't think I should have to pay for it... the EOB from my insurance however shows $120 This is a very serious miss diagnosis but they didn't mind charging you 'for their time'. These guys couldn't diagnose a runny nose so unless you just feel like paying them for the privilege and a 'there there' I suggest finding somewhere else to go where they will actually investigate what's wrong.

I was diagnosed at this facility with walking pneumonia and bronchitis. The doctor said he would call in three prescriptions (antibiotic, decongestant and eye drops--I also had an eye infection). As it happens, he forgot to mention the eye drops to the pharmacy, so we ended up having to make a second trip to the pharmacy. However, what made me angry was that the antibiotics didn't quite do the trick. It was a 10-day efficacy period, and on day 9 I was still infectious, so I called them to ask for ONE refill. I was told that they "couldn't just keep writing prescriptions for antibiotics!" and that I'd have to come back in to be seen. Bottom line? They were more interested in collecting another $75 from me and dinging my insurance for more money than ensuring that I was well! FYI--I couldn't get in to see my primary care physician for 9 more days! I mentioned all of this to them, and just got the broken-record repeat. I couldn't be more disgusted.

First time visit & all went smoothly from check-in to check-out. Everyone professional & competent. Appreciate being able to see a doctor quickly for treatment of an injury rather than having to wait for an appointment. Thanks!

We had an excellent experience on Sunday ( considering the circumstances). My husband cut himself badly. We were welcomed by the friendly front staff, he was seen within about 15 minutes and reported excellent care. Thank you!

I needed to get a vaccine recently and swung by there close to closing time. I got the impression I was imposing upon the guy at the front desk (while he fiddled with his iPhone) when I came in. When we presented our insurance we were advised that a previous person's insurance didn't cover vaccination, but I asked them to run my insurance regardless. Turns out that the real issue was that they didn't take insurance for vaccinations and wanted $60 for the shot. I left (after having filled out four forms) and happily went to the minute clinic at CVS. The happily took my insurance for this vaccine and a flu shot and the total out of pocket was $0. I won't be returning to this place. With the proliferation of urgent care places in greater Annapolis I'll go somewhere else and get better price and service.

Rebecca Blair

We always went to Patient First. Doctors Express very friendly, thorough, and helpful. An asset to the Edgewater area.

Jane Doe

I was seen last weekend and obviously I was sick because I went on a weekend, when I came in the staff seemed really confused and was unsure if they could let me in to be seen. Turns out there was a gas leak at 5 Guys Burgers and they had an extreme amount of propane smell in the office. I was sick so I was seen but throughout the whole visit the office kept checking on me, I guess they were concerned that I would get sick from the smell. The doctor was very brief and rude but gave me the medicine I needed. The front desk people were very concerned about the gas leak but did help me get in and out quickly. I drove past alittle later and they were still open, hopefully the gas leak was fixed. Got what I needed but I feel bad for the employees that have to work at a place that stays open under those conditions.

Patrick Simmons

Front desk people are so friendly, nurses are helpful and kind, Doctor is awesome. Office is clean and neat. Hardly any wait at all
