I can't begin to say enough good things about Dr. McCarthy and everyone that works at this office. I had to have my wisdom teeth out at 26 and have a second procedure done at the same time (tad placements). The office was throrough through the entire recovery process and made sure to continuously check in and answer any questions. When I had issues with my tads, they did everything they could to fit me into Dr. McCarthy's schedule and fix it immediately. These procedures are not fun for anyone, but Dr. McCarthy and the entire staff made the experience as enjoyable as it could be. They are welcoming, caring, patient and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this office to everyone, you will receive outstanding service.

This is far and away the most well run doctor's office I have experienced in my 58 years. I've now been here four times to handle a tooth extraction and implant. I've never waited more than 5 minutes to be seated in the chair. My appointment today was at 4:40pm; I arrived at 4:25 and was out the door at 4:40! Dr. Jacobson is absolutely outstanding. Skillful, professional, talked me through every step of all procedures. I experienced no pain in either the extraction or implant. I give them my highest recommendation.

Today I finished the saga of receiving a broken tooth removal , bone graft and the journey of appointments to today when my dental implant is ready for a crown. Last September I started with panoramic X-rays & meeting Dr McCarthy. The tooth had broken in half. One half had been removed by my dentist. Dr McCarthy removed the remainder of the tooth & performed the bone graft. Several months later after the graft had taken, Dr McCarthy inserted the basis of the implant. He checked it at another appointment. X-ray checked the placement. Today he placed the final attachment for the crown to be placed by my dentist & X-rayed to check that the implant was in the correct place. I happily left to start the crown procedure at my dentist's office. Dr McCarthy had given me a price for the entire procedure at the start. I paid the bill last September & there were no additional charges today. Dr MCarthy & his staff made the entire process comfortable & as perfect as possible.

Dr. Lawlor and his team make the less than desirable business of wisdom teeth removal as pain free as possible. We agreed (their idea) to schedule our two teens for back to back surgery, as they suggested it might be easier to get it all over at the same time. We had one over the top busy day, setting dueling timers for 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off ice packs, blending smoothies and scooping ice cream, but as misery loves company, it was easier to go thru this process together. The OSA staff is capable, thorough, cheerful and supportive. Dr.Lawlor inspired confidence with his calm, low key, measured yet confident approach. One week post surgery both kids are healing nicely. Everything about our experience was A+. Thank you all at OSA for taking such good care of my teenagers.

My 5 year old needed an extraction last week and because she had such a meltdown when her general dentist attempted to remove the tooth, I was nervous we would encounter the same problem when her dentist referred us to OSA. However, from the moment we walked through the door at OSA the experience was like night and day. OSA's office is beautiful and the front desk staff is above and beyond- they gave us such a warm welcome, it immediately put us both at ease! Then we got to meet Dr. Zajkowski and his team- amazing! The whole team was so kind, upbeat and sweet to us. There wasn't a step left unexplained or a question unanswered. Everything went so smoothly I think I forgot where I was and so did my daughter- she didn't even ask to hold my hand! My tooth went bad on me. They saw me immediately and within 30 minutes they had removed the tooth and sent me on my way. Insurance covered the removal, but even if it hadn't, it would have still been within budget. Highly recommend these professionals and great office and support staff.

Saw Dr. MacCarthy for consultation. He was warm but professional and explained everything that I needed to know. He spent time with me and I did not feel rushed, which is rare these days. The two young women who escorted me to the room prior to the consult were nice and it seemed as if one was seasoned as she was cordial and smiling. The other one, however, needs to be a bit more open and upbeat as going to the dentist is anxiety-producing for many. It is the first line personnel who greet and prep the patient before the doctor/dentist arrives that sets the tone. I think the latter needs to be expressed in many places that deal with anxious patients -- this one included. I would refer to Dr. MacCarthy with no hesitation. The answer from the practice that is posted along with this review is not new; it is three years old from another review that I gave. Disregard it for this review, which was for January 31, 2019.

Set up surgery for my son, explained over the phone he takes medication and if he didn't take it in the am they wouldn't get him in the chair. I informed them he took it with a tiny amount of yogurt and was assured that was fine just no other food or drink after midnight. Got there and told the lady he had his meds with 1/4 teaspoon yogurt and they refused the surgery. Guess they shouldn't have said it was ok over the phone. I got a new referral. If I could give zero stars I would. Pure ignorance.

The radiologist could have been more friendly and welcoming. She had no smiles and was a bit abrupt; no Happy New Year! ... maybe due to her young age face to an older person? I think it is important for her to know this. As we go into these procedures some of us experience as nerve-racking, we might be a bit nervous ? ... I can not say enough about this place! Our son who is 8 had to have a second tooth removed. He was very nervous but when Dr. Z walked into the room, he couldn't of been nicer. Our son became relaxed and at peace with knowing he had to have surgery because of the Dr. He showed us the x-rays and explained what he would do before surgery, during and after. Our recovery nurse, Mrs. D we will call her, was wonderful as well. Our son said Mrs. D and Mr. Z must own the place, because they were so nice!! Just had my wisdom teeth removed here so I suppose I can write a few words since my experience has been nonetheless extremely satisfying. I had three wisdom teeth removed today, all impacted with one nearing the nasal cavity and another pathing into my jaw bone. So I thought, well, this is it. This is my final stand. Of course it wasn’t, but my mind works this way, you see. I went in telling my father who would drive me after, “nag I’m not nervous I’m good!” But I was dreading this day since I called and referred myself. To speed things up, I did wonderfully. I opened my eyes after being out for surgery and saw my father and a wonderful assistant named Sarah standing there awaiting my eyes to open. Doctor Jacobson was very professional and made you feel comfortable before procedure. His assistant, Jen, was also lovely and they both truly do care about what you want as the patient. They respect what you want and how you feel as well. The all around environment at this facility is warming rather than the “scare” feel people usually get at the dentists or any oral surgeon office. If you choose this facility for your surgery of any kind, I would honestly say, “why wouldn’t you???” They’re great. I arrived 15min early for my appointment as requested and was told that I would have to wait outside with some other patients because they were having a staff meeting. About a half hour later, they finally let us all in to the waiting room. Next they insisted upon full payment ($2k) up front for a dental appliance I will not receive for several weeks, prior to seeing me. After making that payment I was rewarded with an additional half hour wait before I was brought in for my appointment, a full hour after I had arrived. That being said, Dr Mark Zajkowski is simply fantastic.

i would strongly advise people to avoid this facility. although a handful of nurses were helpful, the rest were just flat out cruel. my oral surgeon was completely unsympathetic and seemed to simply want to knock me out and "get it over with", i also had one specific nurse (heavy set / brunette) spoke to me as if i were a child, she wouldnt answer any questions i had and seemed quite annoyed .. they lost my payment plan, therefore i had to pay upfront for my wisdom teeth to be removed and no apology was given, if i put it off i would have had to wait ANOTHER 3 months. people in the waiting room with me felt the same way in regards to the carelessness and lack of compassion. i will continuously tell my friends and family to stay clear and to go some where else to feel comfortable and to get the proper care needed.. worst experience!

I was referred to Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates by my dentist to have a few teeth removed that have been casing me pain and an infection. The doctor was very good about explaining what they were going to do with teeth needed to be removed and why. A couple of the nurses didn't seem as friendly they stood in the back of the room and didn't say much, and I like when they introduce themselves and explain why they are there but I also understand that there are multiple patients and time is a factor. Over all I had a very good experience and will be returning if needed in the future.

I ran through the paperwork pretty quickly. There was a short wait before I was taken back to the procedure room. After the initial interaction, I waited quite some time. The oral surgeon came in, explained everything, gave me novocaine and said he'd be back. That wait was much longer than expected. It was chilly in the room and luckily I had a book and an extra layer on. The procedure was very fast and I was out of there shortly afterwards. I was pleasantly surprised to have a smaller bill than the estimate. Thanks for fitting me in so quickly and making the visit effortless!
