REVIEWS OF Martin's Point Health Care Center IN Maine

Service is absolutely terrible. Everything from wait times, not being able to see my own doctor, to their billing department. And that's if you can even get through to talk to anyone. I have been given false health information from both DOs and NPs and would not recommend to anyone. The only people who are helpful are the ones at the front desk. They are quick to send you to the ER but not without charging you for the recommendation first. I've seen providers at the Scarborough and Gorham location and certainly met some you should beware of.

The care is excellent, and the staff are so professional. They are amazing even when they are so busy they clearly do not show the stress that they must have! All I can say is, Matin's is superior! Barbara

Martins point health care professionals have given me, by far, some of the best care I have ever received as a patient. The facility is amazing and the staff is very caring. I’m very grateful to be under the care of these compassionate professionals and I highly recommend this facility for primary care.

Great health care great staff and Drs.. Very slow and irritating phone service and it's faster to use Portal to contact Drs. Refills and prescriptions fixes are horribly slow. The care is good. But the medication fills and fixes are deathly slow and brings the rating down for me.

I love Martin's point on Veranda street. They have very compassionate doctors who have helped me with my daughter for years.

Doctors/nurses are nice but super frustrated with the availability of appointments and treatment in urgent situations. Phone lines are often tied up with a wait time. Same day appointments unavailable, and they won't go out of their way to squeeze you in. Don't expect a quick call back, either-- I've had to call several times-- and don't expect to get a call from a doctor. It is absolutely horrible to tell someone who has just been seen a few days prior and who is in pain to go to urgent care. I'll be switching to another doctor immediately.

I am very disappointed with Martin's Point. I called 10 days ago and visited the office 9 days ago about some concerns I have and nobody has had the decency to return my call or respond in some other way. It took 8 days to get a call back to schedule a procedure. The hold time to speak to anybody is too long and the time in the waiting room to see the doctor is even longer. They'll get you in but bring a book. My next call is going to be the government agency that regulates them. I'm not happy and I'm looking forward to open enrollment.

Always very friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Very clean waiting rooms that are never too cluttered thanks to how they're broken up. Love our pediatrician Dr. Vogt too! Highly recommended!

Pertinent to pharmacy only, have not seen a physician within this establishment. Pharmacy personnel is helpful, professional and quick. Have personally only spoken with one of the pharmacists, a gentleman who was informative, helpful, and very nice to speak with. 4 vs 5 stars only because if they are closing early or for the day, it is only posted within the building. If you call ahead to check on hours the phone will just ring. There is no automated system with the direct pharmacy line. Personally find that inconvenient (drove there after an appointment for a prescription and the pharmacy was closed for a meeting. I had called to check their hours to make sure that I was going to get there before closing and it rang off the hook. Assumed that they were just busy, but alas).

Dr. Sam Zager is an excellent physician and is of exemplary character. This man took the time to care for me not only as a patient but as an individual. I am 31 years old and have never been in the presence of a doctor who cared so much about his patients. I do not typically review anything nor anyone but felt it a necessity to distinguish this doctors from his peers.

Terrible place. I’ve waited 5 Days now just for somebody to authorize my new insurance so I can retrieve the medication I need at the pharmacy (still waiting). Expect to spend at least half an hour waiting for somebody to pick up the phone just to tell you they’ll take care of it when you know you’ll have to call them at least 3 other times before any action is taken. I hate this place. Communication is horrible and it takes them forever to do anything. Don’t expect a call back either.

Their professional staff are fine. But when you call you should plan to be on hold, listening to terrible music, for at least 8 - 10 minutes. I've timed it repeatedly (9.3 minutes today) and it's ridiculous. I expect Martin's Point gets away with this absurdly terrible service simply because changing doctors is a hassle. But, it's not right, especially if they want to describe themselves as a premier healthcare provider.

I have been going to MARTIN'S POINT since 1997-98, and plan to continue for the rest of my life!!! I have never had a bad experience there. My PCP is the absolute best there is. When he is unavailable, his NP is awesome! The staff have always treated me with respect and have given me excellent service!!! I am a believer... In Martin's Point and their staff!!!!!

Left Martin's Point over a year ago due to their attempt to charge me $150 for a mandatory 5 min prescription refill appointment. Moved to a new doctor months later and filled out the paperwork to have my medical records transferred to new doctor. New doctor never received records, and Martin's Point just called me to schedule an appointment. Absolutely clueless medical center.

We have been customers of Martin's Point for over ten years. We've seen a lot of different practitioners over this time. Recently, my partner discovered Dr Bosma, who is able to talk to him man to man (and actually get him to change bad habits!) Which makes me happy. Also within the last two years, I met Dr Anne Thomas. She has proved to be an amazing practitioner, and I hope to always be able to see her. I am truly blessed to have found her.

my wife drives 1/2 hour to get there and when her Doctor was is off the level of concern drops way off. When I called to get an answer they said they would have someone call me. Instead they called her and lied about dropping my call and not being able to reach me(my cell phone was working fine) Not happy I am not going back,

Has a War Memorial Wall. Beautiful view of the bay. Picnic tables, restroom, paved trail. Peaceful.

You stay on hold for an hour before you’re even able to get ahold of any receptionist.. & I haven’t even scheduled my first appointment yet! Not so sure about this office if this is how it’s starting out.
