Upon every arrival, I have received prompt attention. Nurses are always very courteous. Dr. Alexander takes the time to talk with me to get me in the right mindset before each examination. He's always very sincere and somehow makes one feel that everything will be alright. At the age of sixty-two, I appreciate finding this special O.B. that makes me feel so comfortable. An insurance change brought me to Dr. Alexander in the beginning of my pregnancy and I was very uneasy about the switch up but it wasn’t long before he proved it was a blessing in disguise. Not only was he eager to answer my probably silly, repetitive first mom questions but he also tackled my boyfriend’s. It was wonderful that he involved the both of us and gave us more information then we expected to get. Delivery was a walk in the park despite the countless ways I had thought about it going wrong. Mind you, I had some difficulties getting through labor but he stepped up to be a great cheerleader while my boyfriend held my leg with his deer in the headlights expression. Dr. Alexander has since got me through an unsuspected case of Post partum depression and a false positive pregnancy scare with my IUD. I didn’t expect him to be so kind and understanding at first but he has surprised my boyfriend and I. We hope to have Dr. Alexander and his wonderful team (especially the super sweet young ladies up front) care for any future pregnancies that may come our way! You’ll be in great hands if you choose this office, trust me, I’m a bit picky!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE DR ALEXANDER!! I have 7 children and am currently pregnant with number 8..my first 4 kids were delivered by other OB docs when I found Dr. ALEX..HE WAS THE LAST! He delivered my last 3 and delighted he will be delivering my next!! OUTSTANDING DOCTOR, GREAT PERSON WONDERFUL PERSONALITY , DOWN TO EARTH, LOVE HIS BEDSIDE MANNER! I have never been treated so disrespectful by this man, let along any other provider in my life! At one point, I would recommend him to every individual I encountered, NEVER again. Mind you, I have been open to doing studies with this man and all! I don't care what type of day you're having, you don't treat patients like just another number. After 5 years and 2 babies, I won't be back.

I have absolutely NOTHING good to say about Dr. Alexander OR the ladies that work the front desk. I had him as a doctor for a miscarriage he was extremely insensitive had horriable bedside manners. He acted as if it was just another thing woman go through. I tried him as a doctor a year later when I got pregnant again, he was not any better than before and the ladies still had disgusting attitudes. I switched doctors and my new doctor requested medical records from him 4 TIMES they never sent them over, so I called and they lady at the front said, “well if you are going to switch doctors, have your new doctor redo all your blood work.” So my doctor did, turns out I had an infection, so I called Dr. Alexander’s office back to see if my labs showed anything and sure enough they DID they never called to tell me, they just assumed that I knew they send a script to the pharmacy (mind you the wrong one). The receptionists response to all this was, “you didn’t tell us your new pharmacy, or phone number.” So I asked her, “then why when I came in for my first visit I had to fill out a patient contact form?” (In which I put my new information) She didn’t have much to say other than, “Goodluck” and she hung up the phone. It would not surprise me if he has had any medical malpractice complaints. I have yet to call the Louisiana Board of Medicine and Gynecology to find out. My husband and I are thinking about filing a malpractice because for 3 weeks I had an infection that he failed to tell me about that jeopardized my health and my unborn child’s life.

Dr Samuel and his staff were amazing always making sure me and baby felt comfortable! Always on standby, always ready for ANY emergency. I trusted him and his staff my whole pregnancy! Dr. Samuel Alexander has been my doctor for many years. I have always felt extremely comfortable and relaxed in his office, but once I had a miscarriage, I decided I will never leave him. The morning I went in for my first ultrasound, the nurse popped in my videotape and started searching for a heartbeat. After about 5 minutes, she excused herself to get Dr. Alexander. When he came in, he searched and then had to tell us the worst news ever. We left the exam room and headed to his office. He discreetly removed the videotape and handed it to the nurse behind my back. The lady at the desk was celebrating her birthday and he sort of made a motion to her and immediately the laughing stopped. I appreciated how he cared about our feelings. After discussing the next options, he did the kindest thing ever. Dr. Alexander got into the elevator with my husband and I. He rode down from the fourth floor with us and walked us out of the building to the hospital next door. It was an act of kindness that I will never forget. He was so sensitive to the fact that we were hurting so much. I would recommend Dr. Alexander to EVERYONE! He later went on to deliver both of my kids! I’m thankful to have Dr. Alexander as a part of my life.

TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL!!! I got a phone call from my wife today (2-28-2019) as she was in the paking lot of Dr. Alexander. She went in for a routine checkup. I didn't understand why she was so upset. When she gathered her composure, I came to learn that during her exam the doctor asked about her implants. He asked when did she get them, which is understanable. Then he proceeded to ask how much they cost and where they were done at. Following her answer he said 'I bet Medicaid didn't help cover the cost of those like they do here". It's none of his bussiness how much they cost and making a remark about her having Medicaid is so out of line. To make matters worse, after stoppong to use the restroom on her way out she overhears 2 nurses saying "She can pay for those but not insurance". This is no way to run a practice. I see he has plenty of good reviews but after reading through them it seems like on his bad days he is totally out of line.
